About Those Polls - Rigged Or Just Clueless?

Tyler Durden's picture

Over the past couple of weeks, we have constantly pointed out that polling data was seemingly being manipulated to "manufacture" artificial leads for the mainstream media's chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton.  By "oversampling" democrats and/or various minority groups, pollster after pollster kept rolling out predictions that seemed utterly ridiculous to us but were gobbled up by complicit media outlets.  Here is just a small sample of our headlines from the past couple of months:

"ABC/Wapo Effectively Admit To Poll Tampering As Hillary's "Lead" Shrinks To 2-Points"

"How Reuters "Tweaked" Its Latest Poll (Again) To Show A Clinton Lead"

"Statisticians Warn Of "Systemic Mainstream Misinformation" In Poll Data"

"CNN Goes "Full Reuters" - Attempts To Rig VP Debate Poll With Too Many Dems In Sample"

"New Podesta Email Exposes Playbook For Rigging Polls Through 'Oversamples'"

Now, with the official results in, we can finally confirm that pollsters were either intentionally manipulating their data or were simply clueless about how to structure their sample pools.  Per Bloomberg, going into election night, only two polls, IBD/TIPP and USC Dornsife/LA Times, showed victories for Trump while all of the other major polling outlets showed a 3-4 point national lead for Hillary.  And, while Hillary may still scrape up a modest popular vote edge it will be no where near the 3-4% margin predicted by these polls.

Polls

But, as bad as the national polls were, the data from the swing state polls was even worse.  Heading into election night, pollsters predicted a 6.5 point advantage for Hillary in the state of Wisconsin even though it now looks like Trump will win the state by 1.3% or more.

WI

Same thing in Pennsylvania where Hillary was considered a 2-point favorite even though Trump will win the state by over a point.

PA

Meanwhile, in Michigan Hillary was considered a 3.4 point favorite though it looks like Trump will take that state as well.

MI

Finally, while pollsters capitulated and admitted that Trump was the likely victor in Ohio his actual 8.5-point win in the state eclipsed the 3.5-point average going into election night.

Ohio

So we leave it to you to decide:  "Rigged" or "Clueless".

The hell it is clueless. They know exactly what they are doing.

They rigged the polls by oversampling demographics favorable to Clinton.

They rigged the votes on the election day so Trump's 10% lead became dead even.

BetaGap's picture

If this was rigged, they have not done a very good job.

Where was Diebold yesterday?

The gremlins were busy as hell--they just couldn't channel the tsunami.  Likely the effort was extreme in Ohio and Florida and the states that looked close and reported with delays: Penn, Michigan, Wisconsin.  They were swept away.

OT but has anyone heard if that fat, ugly, dumb bitch Lena Dunham has left the country yet?

The MSN is already saying this is a rise of racist whites, too bad we all know that none of this would be possible if Blacks (men mostly) hadn't showed up for Trump 2016.

We know they oversampled and rigged the polls.  I would really like to know how much Hillary, Obama and the DNC tried to rig the voting.  We know there was sporatic voter fraud but I suspect it was much more massive.  It just couldnt overcome the massive support for Trump.

Look into this Donald so it doesn't happen next time!

InTheLandOfTheBlind's picture

the oversampling was cover so the american people would be conditioned to accept that vote fraud... plain and simple... more mockingbird bullshit.  it is much more devious than just trying to dissaude the opposition... it is mental conditioning

Just like Brexit working people who have been cut out of the system and left for dead voted.

They had no idea they even still existed, they weren't supposed to survive the assault.

They didn't include them in polls.

NPR Reems is shocked saying Hitlery's people predicted PA and NC "by a landslide." She blamed those uneducated white folks voting for Donald Trump.

LOL. I hope they defund this propaganda crap.

Note: I am posting this on multple blogs, sorry for any dupes you find

So, I went to bed AFTER Trumps acceptance speech.

Some election maps gave him Pennsylvania for the win, other used Wisconsin and Michigan to put him over 270 and held back PA as too close to call.

But in either case with over 97% of the national vote counted Trump was UP OVER 1 Million votes in the popular vote count.

I wake up this morning and WTF?

Hillary is not AHEAD in the popular vote count?

That would require OVER 75% of the remaining 3% all voted for HRC?

But Wait there's more,  this morning CNN was STILL calling MI, WI, PA, and NH "too close to call"

That means they Could NOT have all 3% of the outstanding vote tallied yet,

SO, WTF while we were all sleeping 100% of the remaining votes, (but not all votes) counted ALL 100% went to HRC???!!!

I'm calling bullshit on this and so should all of you.

Write to senators and congressmen, friends and post of facebook, and get the word out, this is BOGUS

Hillary did NOT win the popular vote as of 1:00 am pacific time with 97% of votes reported in, and about 120+ million Americans voted.

It would be an incredible miracle for her to pick up enough votes to close that lead with LL the remaining votes not counted, and a asteroid strike on your head impossibility that she could do so and they still don’t have enough votes counted to call the results of several states.

Remember Soros,( a billionaire Hillary supporter who "paid" people to "protest" at Ferguson and other events )  owns Diebold, the company that makes the voting machines.

I fired this letter off the the President of the Board of Regents, the President of the University, and the Chair if the Mass Comms Dept this morning. Hope you guys enjoy it:

Like I said in a letter to staff on April 1st of this year:

"I reject. I utterly reject the ideology and the shitty trickle down
[arrogance, hubris, narcissism, and bad manners] authoritarian culture
that you espouse. Look around you. Donald Trump may be your next
president FFS, and Hillary Clinton well, she would look stunning in a
nice boldly striped pantsuit with elegant shackle shaped accessories.
You are beginning to reap the idiocracy that you have so assiduously
sown. Welcome to the “Great Society”."

The first has come to pass, and the second, well, I heard the Clinton
crime family has secretly fled the country for Argentina, taking their
ill gotten gains with them. May they all get chiggers up to their
nipples.

Mr. Xxxxxx,

Your precious media has disgraced us and helped make us the laughing
stock of the entire planet. Their wanton disregard for "will of the
people", their "situational ethics", their conniving and deceit, and
their utter disregard for the truth shames us all. While I am neither,
if I had to choose, I will rather be a deplorable than a despicable.

Is this what you are teaching? If so, then may I suggest you check your
abundantly inflated ego and do some serious soul searching.

Your syllabus needs a thorough review. You can do that when you
"temporarily" move into your plush new offices paid for with filthy
money. I say temporarily because this bubbly gravy train is about to
come to a screeching halt. Government, Obamacare, Academia, and too
many more bubbles to list here are soon to be pricked...speaking of
pricks, tell Mr. Zzzzz I said hi... ;-)

Mr. Yyyyyy,

You ignore my warning about an existential threat at your peril sir. I
have accumulated enough dirt to hang the lot of you and it will be
delivered when the time comes.

The skxawng are cowed, and for a moment, just a brief moment, all is
well with the world.

I have been wondering if pollsters are engaged in racial profiling.

"The black vote, the Latino vote, the uneducated white vote."

"There was a difference in class. Poor white women voted Trump"

How can CNN allow such things?

The Polls were rigged for a specific purpose.  Keep the race close because it will be easier to conceal Voter Fraud.  With as much as they got away with, it still wasn't enough.  The MSM doesn't care about credibility, they're the only game in town.  Turns out the Weathermen aren't the biggest liars in the media after all.

adanata's picture

Even with Diebold... they cannot rig a landslide... yet.

We the People need to REALLY work on that: paper ballots for everyone; kept and counted in public view at all times.

I think this really was the last possible chance we would have to begin the process of saving our sorry asses.. and we need to make the most of it.

cheech_wizard's picture

It was there, however, a belief in their own bullshit polls prevented them from rigging more machines.

Soros' machine techs probably had their brains imploding.  "We can't stop it, it's a tsunami!"

Didnt need Diebold in VA.  Trump lost by between 50,000 - 60,000 votes.

Two days after Gov. got through the pardoning of 60,000 felons to be allowed to vote.

So... what are the chances those felons were registered?  Zilch... so who filled out and voted on those ballots?

That fucker who is the Governor of Virginia needs to go to jail with his pals Hitlery, Slick Willy, Huma, Carlos Danger, Podesta, Mills, Lynch et, al.  I hear there is some space open for all of them at a place called Gitmo.

RiverRoad's picture

Don't know exactly where Diebold was but Soros is deader n' a doornail.

Nekoti's picture

Perhaps they thought better of it and backed off the rigging. They may have decided to live to fight another day.

NoDebt's picture

Of course they are rigged.  There is no accountability for being wrong.  Other than ZH, where else are you going to see these pollsters getting raked over the coals for being wrong?  Maybe a couple days on the subject on Fox News, but that's about it.  Next election cycle it'll be the same people out there doing the same bogus polls and all this will be long forgotten.

Not one single pollster will lose their job over this.  No polling firm will fold it's tent.  Contracts with the MSM networks will be auto-renewed for the next cycle with little discussion and no real repercussions.

Bastiat's picture

I flipped around and watched the MSM news anchors go from denial to anger as long as I could stand it.  In the anger stage they repeated their anit-Trump propaganda with ever more nastiness.  I was shocked to see only the PBS crew move quickly to acceptance and actually say, with sincerity, "maybe all the people at the this table need to take a deep look within,"  or words to that effect.  The other cynical clowns are way past being capable of such a sentiment.

CheapBastard's picture

Yeah, it's those Deplorable uneducated, non-college, white folk rayciss Nazis who voted for Trump according to the fascist violent left wing Clintonites who have blown up offices, beat up Trump and Sanders supporters and even massacred dozens of cops. But it's the "Nazi" Trump supporters who be bad.

LOL.

auricle's picture

If this was rigged, they have not done a very good job.

They did a great job, Trump just did a tiny bit better. Trump barely won the election. The media did the most damage to trump 24x7 bashing and false branding him.

Rigged or Clueless? -- BOTH!

Donald J. Trump's picture

The polls were rigged and the msm was clueless about it. It was pretty obvious watching the msm last night. Early they were smug and confident, but when Florida was holding onto Trump near the end, they were flabbergasted.

J S Bach's picture

In my opinion, what this election has shown more than anything else is the great transition in the dissemination of information.  Many of Hillary's lapdog supporters get their "news" from the controlled MSM while the vast majority of Trump supporters are internet junkies.  Of course, the internet takes away the (((filter)))  of the traditional mind controllers, thus a great awakening has occured.  God works in very mysterious (but inevitably good) ways.

I agree with most of what you say, but her supporters frequent the echo chambers of the internet.  There are echoes here at times, but generally we're all brutally honest with ourselves and the other denizens of this fine establishment.

It's time to run the Federal Govt like a business, get rid of dead wood, lower costs, and start increasing quality.  Byb-bye Dept of Education, Dept of Energy, HUD, etc.  Time to clean out all the riff-raff in the DOJ and IRS.  Initiate Anti-Trust lawsuits against all the Major banks & MSM.  Time to audit the Fed, then abolish it! That's just for starters.

seek's picture

Wikileaks even had emails with the dems giving the media instructions on what to oversample!

This was purely intentional.

It's actually one of the reasons I expected a blowout (but not at this scale) in states with legitimate voting procedures. I admit I was surprised that he carried rigged states, but that's just further proof how lopsided things were and how badly the Clinton crew were oversampling.

CheapBastard's picture

Hopefully, Podesta will lose his law license and be thrown into prison for 5-20.

Whadda ya know... intelligent, decent people with some common sense STILL outnumber the morons, FSA and SJW.

Let's keep it that way!!!

StychoKiller's picture

If I were to draw a Venn diagram of the Morons, FSA and SJWs,

the circles would almost completely cover each other, so there's not as many separate identities as they think there are.

mephistophocles's picture

Yes, but I think there's something else at play here. Lots of people who voted for Trump (especially ones who did it specifically as an "up-yours" to the establishment) aren't the kind to take or respond to polls. They see pollsters as part of the establishment, or they just don't particularly care to make their opinion public. Polls are always going to miss those folks, and they are probably a very large group.

So probably what we have here is a double effect - both poll "skewing" by oversampling certain demographics, and the inability to ever get a correct reading because there's a huge group voting but not participating in the polls.
