On The Razor's Edge

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Eric Peters via EricPetersAutos.com,

It is good that Hillary lost – obviously.

But it may prove to be the worst thing that could have happened.

Depending on what Trump does as president.

If he governs as a Republican, it is time to pack bags. Because the clock is ticking. We will have – at best – four years before something far worse than Hillary returns, with a vengeance.

Bernie Sanders, for instance. Or Michelle Obama.

Or – probably – something far worse than either.

If Trump screws it up, the blowback will be epic. An outright socialist will be the next president. Or perhaps something even more outright. Remember: We got Obama (and Obamacare) both of which had been inconceivable before George W. Bush because of the disaster that was George W. Bush. He did to the Republican brand what the diesel “cheating” debacle has done to VW.

Without him, Obama would have been impossible.

In the same way, Bernie (or Michelle or much worse) will be made inevitable by a failed Trump presidency.

Even those who supported Trump will be hardpressed to do so four years hence if he proves to be another Republican. Keep in mind the 90-plus percent approval enjoyed (briefly) by our “war president” and Great Decider. And what happened later. A war does distract the boobs for a time – makes it easier to pick their pockets and take away their freedoms in the name of protecting them. Wave the flag, talk about how “great” America is.

But they eventually notice that their pockets are empty and that they have become more like feudal serfs than citizens of a free republic.

Hillary lost not because Trump was a great candidate. She lost because she was transparently the tool of the War and Wall Street interests that own the country. She could not enthuse her own side. Trump won as the backlash candidate; a vote for him was a vote against the system – which Hillary embodied.

Not a vote for him.

Even Bill acknowledges this.

If Trump proves to be what Hillary certainly would have been – it’s over. And this time, it’ll be for good. There will not be another chance. The Free Shit Army will have its day. And a long night will descend.

So, what must Trump do to prevent this?

He must not govern like a Republican.

Which means, no Mittens Romney-ish “repeal and replace” Obamacare. He must repeal it. Stomp it into the earth until it no longer twitches.

Above all, the mandate has got to go. If the federal government has the power to force people to buy health insurance, then it has the right to force people to buy life and gun insurance, too (if they are even allowed to buy guns at all). And if our “health” is now a public concern, then nothing about our lives will ever be private again. What we eat, how much we weigh, whether we exercise, how we recreate … these and more will be matters of public policy.

Enforceable at gunpoint.

It is not an exaggeration at all to state that Obamacare is a greater threat to whatever liberty remains to us than the income tax. Because Obamacare encompasses everything and is inescapable.

Trump must end it.

He could and should immediately fire the current EPA and NHTSA administrators – and replace them with reasonable people who understand that cost is an object and that it is not the proper business of the federal government to decree “safety” to free people.

If people want air bags, let them buy them.

But no more forcing them to.

Let the market – not federal bureaucrats – determine the balance between “safety” and fuel economy.

No more subsidizing crony capitalists like Elon Musk. Let electric cars compete (and succeed or fail) on their merits.

No more regulations – and fines – based on conjecture. If a company (car or otherwise) does something that causes demonstrable harm to real people, be all means hold them accountable. They should make amends. But if they haven’t caused any harm to anyone except the Federal Register and the wounded egos of power-tripping EPA and NHTSA Ayatollahs… ?

Say the words, Donald.

You’re fired!

Please.

The mess that Bush/Obama/Hillary left him is enormous---wars, serious recession, racial tensions, soaring crime at all levels and a generation of shallow brainwashed kids.

Kick start the economy, bring back jobs or create them and get control of the outlaws are some top priorities, not to mention the bloody slaughters and wars our Nobel Peace Prize Winner started/continued overseas. I remember the disgusted look on people's faces---both Dems and Repbulicans---when Comey read all of Hillary's crimes and then refused to indict her. Yuuuuuuuuge mistake that has added to the lawlessness we now see across America assisted by extreme radicals such as Soros.

Hopefully, January will see the start of turning this nation around again.

"If he governs as a Republican, it is time to pack bags. Because the clock is ticking. We will have – at best – four years before something far worse than Hillary returns, with a vengeance."

I've been thinking this very same thing since the upset victory.  Whatever Trump does... in the next election, the loony left will be out in spades (no derogatory pun intended) with their twisted coalition of voters.  This is why one of Trump's first agenda items must be to rectify, solidify and consolidate the entire nation's voting apparati.  It must be made as fool-proof as possible and as impermeable to fraud (i.e. Soros machines) as possible.

Does anyone ever wonder why the assumed drunken "Madame President" immediately conceded and didn't call for any kind of "recount"... even though she supposedly won the popular vote by more than a million votes?!  I'll tell you why.  It's because if there were an actual magnifying glass put upon even the tiniest percent of votes placed (especially in the big cities), it would be quickly proven that many millions of her supporters were either dead or quintuplets with the same names.  Such is the Left's dilemma.  How now to cheat the system?  Remember, most of these people are amoral and thus, have no compunction as to right or wrong with matters such as these.

Do the right thing, President Donald.

GreatUncle's picture

Voting machine prints a receipt and an online database of numbers matching only the voters choice. Looked up not as search enquiry but a page of data than can be inspected. Actually rather fucking easy ... but not implemented becasue the voting machine is being used to commit voter fraud.

Then you can lookup to see what the receipt ID is saying you voted.

Lockesmith's picture

The machines can easily be hacked so that they falsely record the votes internally.
There is no evidence of which votes were cast after the fact, unless you have physical ballots.

What happens with those nowadays?

November 17, 2016 Introducing Mike Pence: Israel’s Best Friend By Jerrold L. Sobel

This may come as a shock to some people but politicians often say things just to get elected and forget what was said once they do. This past week, riding in on what portends to be the greatest pro-Israel administration since the inception of the Jewish state, president-elect Donald Trump and his vice president Mike Pence will assume the reins of power on January 20, 2017.

In choosing Pence as his running mate this past July, Trump wasn’t looking for a carbon copy of himself but a calm, establishment conservative well versed in the ways of Washington and a voice of reason to offset his own brashness. His faith in these qualities was exhibited this past Friday when he chose the vice president-elect to head their transition team, abruptly replacing New Jersey governor Chris Christie. Joining him in this luminous position is a team of unprecedented pro-Israel/Jewish advocates which, for starters, include:

  • Jason D. Greenblatt -- Trump chief lawyer, close friend and orthodox Jew.
  • Rudy Giuliani -- Long time influential friend of Israel, welcomed guest in Jerusalem’s corridors of power.
  • David Friedman -- Speculated as possible ambassador to Israel under the new administration, Friedman has an impeccable pro-Israel stance
  • Steven Mnuchin -- Served as Trump’s campaign finance chairman and mentioned as possible Secretary of the Treasury. His father, Robert is a renowned Jewish philanthropist.
  • Jared Kushner -- Orthodox Jewish son-in-law of the president-elect and close confidant has been described as “de facto campaign manager,” and was reportedly highly influential in the billionaire’s selection of Mike Pence as running mate.
  • Richard Grenell -- On a short List of candidates for UN ambassador. Arthur Schwartz, a strategist for pro-Israel groups stated: “Ric Grenell has proven to be stridently pro-Israel.”

However, none of these refreshingly pro-Israel supporters have an actual congressional voting record, as does Mike Pence. Long before dreaming of one day serving as our 48th vice-president, Pence has had an impeccable record of ardent support for the Jewish state.

Not good at all, Donald/Bannon. There must be good WASPS out there still in possession of their stingers. Is it so hard to demand that no dualies be working in the USG? OOps, 99% of those dualies surveyed prefer The Hexian passport as their escape to, so that requirement would be interpreted as anti-non-gentilism.

Donald, what WOULD Roy Cohn think?

fleur de lis's picture

There should be no dual passports/citizenship of any kind in US elected or appointed offce.

Most of the population is unaware that we are governed by office holders with loyalty problems.

It should be openly discussed and be made more familiar to the population as a real issue.

Given the facts and consequences most Americans of all political inclinations would agree to have it stopped.

The root cause of this is Afroyim v Rusk 1967.

https://www.scribd.com/document/325710800/Afroyim-v-Rusk

It was all downhill after that.

Beys Afroyim was a misfit and an active communist.

Born in Poland which was at the time a part of the Russian Empire, he immigrated to America in 1912.

He was smart enough to apply for citizenship as soon as he infected our soil.

He was obviously a coward seeking to get out of Dodge knowing what was on the horizon.

Far be it from him to defend the land of his birth.

Nomads are not so inclined.

And yet another undeserving troublemaker got American citizenship in 1926.

Of course he never served during the war, misfits and malcontents stay home and create problems.

Ever the malcontent, he immigrated to Israel after the war in 1950 and voted in elections there in 1960.

Ever the malcontented nomad, he decided to return to the US but was told his passport had been cancelled because American citizens were not allowed to vote in foreign elections.

Ever the malcontent he whined and complained about such a travesty and got equally destructive lawyers to change the whole Constitution for him.

So he came back, and opened the way for dual passports, citizenship, and foreign voting.

We can thank one well connected malcontent for all of this.

Just trying to understand your use of the world "biblicism". No where in the article are Biblical terms referenced.

As a point of reference, America's destiny will depend alot on her ability to move away from idolatry. If TRUMP acts as his SELF directs without GOD's wisdom and blessing, his efforts will prove to be futile.

ACTING LIKE A "PURE" REPUBLICAN will prove to be an idolatrous act. For example, "America's idolatrous worship of football"

TRUMP needs to move beyond the political parties.

How can they repeal ObamaCare...its a RIGHT!...lmmfao!!!

Cynicles's picture

Please, it's ObamaTax.

specifically ØbamaTax.

nmewn's picture

Which is why I was laughing so hard, ObamaCare is the only...CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT!...you must use or...face a tax/fine/penalty from the IRS ;-)

TeamDepends's picture

nmewn's picture

And again...one is PENALIZED...for not exercising their right?...that is the way they "sold it" to their voters in 07-08...as "a right" to healthcare. Imagine it, it would be like them withholding your tax return from you because YOU DIDN'T exercise your right of free speech...lmao!

Same thing ;-)

francis_the_wonder_hamster's picture

I think you might be onto something here.  Maybe there should be a fine against anyone who doesn't exercise their right to bear arms.

nmewn's picture

Exactly, it's using THEIR logic & reasoning (such as it is...lol) against them ;-)

francis_the_wonder_hamster's picture

One of these days I'll have to share the story about my IRS audit (of every year since 2009).  The IRS actually admitted they could not collect any Obamacare "fines or taxes", and I did not and will never pay a dime of it.

nmewn's picture

Yes, I believe the enforcement mechanism of ObamaCare consists of not giving anyones overpayment in withholding of taxes back to them if they have not exercised their "right" to healthcare, errr, ummm, health insurance...lol.

Its bad enough that they threaten and force an employer to be a government tax collector at the point of you doing something productive enough to earn a paycheck, then when you allow them to asset strip you by having them take out too much (and not have health insurance) the progs have allowed the IRS to says its all quite legal to seize what is not theirs and beyond your control, that is to say out of your possession.

So again, it cannot be a "right" because rights are not taxable physical things, then add the fact they have not used or immediately availed themselves of that "right". Its also not a tax as Congressional power to tax comes with certain prohibitions under Section I Article 8, namely, it has to be imposed uniformly across the states ie...proportionally. Targetting one class of people (the young & healthy) for special higher taxation may meet the description of "uniform" in a progs mind but its hardly "proportional" or even viable under the general welfare clause as obviously they may be healthy by virtue of their age, they being young do not have the means to pay for their own welfare let alone anyone elses.

Now that we have disabused the notion that a "right" cannot be taxed as it is not a physical thing and an assault on my neighbors rights is an assault on mine as well (and again that "right" was not used in order to trigger a taxable event anyways...lol) and acknowledged the dis-proportionality & injustice of taxing one class of society simply because they are young (regardless of their ability to pay) lets peel the last layer of the onion back to see what it really is.

Health insurance is a service offered by private corporations. To say that not having health insurance is akin to not having cable TV is not a stretch as it is also an offered service to be accepted or not.

What they have done is design "a law" where one is MANDATED to have this (AND ONLY THIS...for now) hand picked service offered by one group of corporations or the GOVERNMENT will step in and impose a fine/penalty on the unwary offender who allowed another corporation (the one this evil, unpatriotic, transgressor works for) to withhold too much from their paycheck.

Somebody needs to tell me how they ever thought this was going to work or be "fair & just"...but they needn't...it was not designed to ever work or be fair or just...it was designed to collapse health insurance altogether while causing misery & angst throughout the populace until some other insane progressive SOB stepped forward and offered "the cure" which oddly enough...has BUREAUCRATS standing right there in the middle again...disbursing payments (or not) to whomever they choose.

There is a reason the phrase "the Secretary shall determine" was used 764 times in the "ObamaCare law" and it was not for our health & general welfare.

francis_the_wonder_hamster's picture

Very well put, and I agree completely.

As far as fixes go, as long as they keep calling it "insurance", we'll know they have no intention of fixing it.

nmewn's picture

Put another way, ObamaCare is the only "right"...(if one is to believe leftists)...that you pay for NOT using.

In other words, it can't be "a right" ;-)

Withdrawn Sanction's picture

"ObamaCare is the only...CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT!...you must use or...face a tax/fine/penalty from the IRS ;-)"

How far we've fallen.  From a constitution that described what government is allowed to do and specifically what it is not allowed to do (i.e., imposes negative obligations), to an imposition of affirmative duties on the citizens whom the government (as constituted) is supposed to serve.

BTW, to those who think ACA is about health CARE, you are mistaken.  It is only about PAYMENTS for health services.  It does not create one more hospital bed, educate one nurse, train a surgeon; in short, it has nothing to do with actual health care, per se'.

And that's a critical flaw.  By further unhinging demand, against a static or even declining supply (as doctors exit for example), 25%+ annual increases in premiums for PAYMENT services (aka "insurance") are not hard at all to understand.  Why even a dim politician can get that one.

nmewn's picture

"How far we've fallen.  From a constitution that described what government is allowed to do and specifically what it is not allowed to do (i.e., imposes negative obligations), to >>>an imposition<<< of affirmative duties on the citizens whom the government (as constituted) is supposed to serve."

Exactly so.

I would only add...they purposely, with malice of forethought and promoted as a "selling point" the TARGETING OF ONE CLASS OF PEOPLE among us...the "young & healthy".

And who was it that said this is unjust and will not stand?

Yes indeed, it was us.

The "young & healthy" really should reconsider who are their friends for life and who really are the enemies within.

"Only now ZH is telling us that Trump might be bad?"

No, that the economy might blow up during his presidency cause blowback. Odds favor another recession and a deep one. It will probably begin when Mr Olde Yella raises rates next month, triggering a credit panic, or maybe olde Yella will raise in January, right after Trump takes over. aka scorched-earth.

No way that Trump can reverse the damage done. $20T+ in federal debt, unfunded private & public pensions in the trillions, Boomers begining to mass retire, and the majority of production moved overseas. How can any one of these problems, forgetting all them, be solved in 4 years and without massive economic pain that will come with it.

ussa's picture

I would say this article is worse. It fails to recognize what works in a market economy. The rebs and Dems have crafted regulations that favor the big over the small, leaves people to the wolves and shift revenue to subsidize the massively wealthy. At the heart of it is a monetary and financial system designed to make humanity debt slaves.

We can only try to get the govt to govern with pragmatism. Free markets only exist in theory. Even the most ardent libertarian would have to admit that there needs to be basic rules.
