Trump Won't Pursue Charges Against Hillary: "She's Been Through Enough"

Tyler Durden's picture

After Trump stunned the nation during the second presidential debate with Hillary Clinton, in which he quipped that under a Trump presidency "she would be in jail", and suggested that he would demand a special prosecutor probe into Clinton's email server and the Clinton foundation, moments ago MSNBC's Morning Joe reported, citing a source, that president-elect Donald Trump will not pursue any investigations into his former political rival Hillary Clinton "for her use of a private email server and the Clinton foundation."

Trump reportedly feels that Clinton has "been through enough."

Trump had routinely attacked Clinton on the campaign trail over her use of a private server as secretary of State and for foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation while she was in the Obama administration.

The report, first announced by Mika Brzezinski, comes just a week after a 60 Minutes interview where Trump indicated that he may not launch a full investigation into the Democratic nominee. “I’m gonna think about it,” he said at the time to Leslie Stahl. “I don’t wanna hurt them. They’re good people,” he continued of the Clintons.

Moments later, Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway appears to have confirmed the MSNBC report, saying there will be no Clinton investigation during a follow up interview:

Quoted by Bloomberg, Conway said on MSNBC that "I think when the president-elect...tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges it sends a very strong message -- tone and content -- to the members," Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway said on MSNBC.

Following MSNBC report that a source said Trump wouldn’t pursue Hillary Clinton investigations, Conway was asked whether Trump would encourage congressional Republicans to stay away from Clinton investigations as well in order to focus on legislative agenda
"I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy but if Donald Trump can help her heal then perhaps that’s a good thing"

"I think he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States and things that sound like the campaign aren’t among them"

Another political rhetoric 'promise' abandonded ... get used to it folks

exactly what did obama say to trump during their initial meeting?

don't pull the strings out of the clinton foundation, or the whole pile comes down?

He specifically mentioned PIZZAGATE onstage in San Jose- one of the reasons its been trending on twitter, along with the twittergate because they are banning people who are reporting twitter accounts that are sharing child porn. Twitter allowing the open dissemination of child porn is a massive story but no one is touching it.

Now Chelsea Clinton was tweeting about how to diagnose dementia yesterday. Seems it will be "she is crazy, not evil"

jcaz's picture

At this point, I don't care if Trump goes after her- he has other things on his plate....

But I DO want the IRS to continue to go after the Clinton Foundation.

Well played, Trump.....

The current name of the tune is he's  influential, and hasn't taken the oath yet.

Keyser's picture

So, do the Clintons get to keep running their illegal and out of compliance charity fraud or can they keep the piggy bank going for Chelsea's sake?

Latina Lover's picture

Brilliant move. Why take heat for something other branches of the government will pursue?

There are at least 4 independent investigations of the Clinton Foundation.  They will eventually burn out Clinton Foundatins rats nest, especially since the criminals such as Comey and the piano legged AG will be removed.

Meanwhile, withouut political influence, the foundation becomes a liability to the Clintons. It will wither away and eventually implode due to the lack of payola.

TeamDepends's picture

Yep, let NYPD and FBI do their jobs and bust pizzagate wide open. THEN perp-walk these sick fucks in orange jumpsuits to the gallows on national teevee.

beemasters's picture

Chelsea Manning has been through enough.
Assange has been through enough.
Snowden has been through enough.
Libyans have been through enough.
Iraqis have been through enough.

WTF, Trump??? The Clintons have been through nothing but only lost an election!!! And that's enough???

greenskeeper carl's picture

I agree. Of all the people getting the shaft right now, its hillary clinton who 'has had enough'. WTF trump. This is not why you were elected. First of many campaign promises to be broken, Im sure. Not off to a good start

TeamDepends's picture

Come on folks, he is not even sworn in yet. This is DONALD TRUMP we are talking about. Do you think he is going to tip his hand before he is in the drivers seat?

froze25's picture

She said new investigations, there are current on going investigations. She also said Trump wouldn't she didn't speak for the new Attorney General.

Multi's picture

I won't lie, I'm a voluntarist but sometimes listening to Trump I thought, this is a guy a could vote for.

I knew though, they will tell ANYTHING necessary to get them elected. You have to fight your heart with your reason when listening the siren song.

But if you prevail.....      God!!!!  it feels SO FUCKING GOOD to know you were right.

MagicHandPuppet's picture

We've been played like a fiddle (or this is MSM bullshit).  Oh, well.  Either way, we knew this was a possibility.

Anyone who thinks this is "no big deal" if it turns out to be true, just realize now that NONE of his campaign promises can be relied upon.

If you aren't willing to clean up the corruption, then the corrupt continue to control the country.  We can high five over little vitories here and there.  But, in the end, the financial collapse is going to land while he's in charge.  Will they overtly default on the debt or hyperinflate?  That's the real question, though they both lead to the same swamp of "victory".

It was nice believing in something for a while, other than myself and my preps.

HopefulCynical's picture

Whether TeamTrump is playing with semantics is of no consequence. Go to this website and tell them what you think. For anyone who has Twitter or Facebook, blow that shit up.

Pro tip: Cursing, all caps etc. will get you ignored. Spread this link to everyone you know who voted for him. He was elected as a populist president. Let's let the populace explain what we want him to do.

Av8or's picture

She's been through enough? You mean like making millions off of the foundation? Like getting a slap on the wrist for exposing secret intelligence to foreign governments where others have been prosecuted and whistle blowers have had to move to other countries? Like carrying the burdens of having been to be catered to as Secretary of State, a senator, a first lady and living in the governors mansion?

Yeah, she's been through so much...

MagicHandPuppet's picture

Here's me holding onto hope.  The tactic: Down play this possibility so O'bummer does not feel the need to issue a blanket pardon for the old hag.

dizzyfingers's picture

That's probably a fait acompli and will be announced by OB on Thanksgiving day.

Manthong's picture

The only good thing about that news is that he has the Sword of Damocles over the Democrats heads as he pursues his agenda and deal making…

Also, he did not say it in person and is known to change his mind when he thinks it to be advantageous

bluez's picture

Perhaps Trump has just suddenly realized that the winner of a presidential election in a powerful nation cannot call for the prosecution of the loser. It would automatically make the U.S. appear to be politically unstable to the other powers.

I'm not sure, but Trump often appeared to have very little knowledge about the intricacies of international relations. The presidency will open up the realities of a whole new world to him.

Manthong's picture

“call for the prosecution of the loser.”

How about “call for the prosecution of the criminal.

..and Kelleyanne specifically mentioned the illegal server, the Clinton Foundation and Hillary.

Don’t be surprised if he takes a blowtorch to everyone who was close to her (maybe even Bill).

He has enough dirt on them to keep Sessions busy for years.

Whatever happens... I gotta say this...

ZH'ers 'calling out' DT on this is great! (hope you're reading this DT, or, at least Jeff Sessions).

That's the difference between ZH'ers vs. Snowflakers... SnowFAKERS had 8 years to call out Obama on just about everything? What did they do? They fucking sat on their hands & coddled his ass... WORSE... They 'doubled down' and put their chips on Hillary & her band of pizza afficianados...

Just chill and see where a Trump DOJ and FBI take things in the future. I think Trump is playing a good hand here. Don't start the nuclear war with leftist-nutjobs quite yet. First get your appointments confirmed and your cancellation of Obama's nightmarish policies in place. Then... if the DOJ sees grounds for prosecution don't stand in the way.

bluez's picture

I am keeping an eye on this gigantic international Podesta / pizzagate mega-scandal. It could easily bring down Obama, Portugal, and several other countries. The Clintons seem to be up to their necks in it.

You mean to say that you made it this far through the election cycle with a Trump bumper sticker and did not have your car trashed by criminal Hillary supporters?

topshelfstuff's picture

people aren't thinking...what do they expect him to say? if he were to say he's going after her, we'd see a full blanket Pardon, like Ford gave to fact that's why he is asked this so often....wait until Jan 21, after his Inauguration

IOW, for now this MUST be his answer

But back in 2005 you didn't write an in depth article about the Clinton/Podesta pedophile ring, did you?  Posting that picture only proves that Trump didn't know, either.

Did you know back in 2005 they raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.  They raped babies.

Some people did know.  FBI and State Department and DOJ, including Janet Reno.  Watch this:

crossroaddemon's picture

Blunt truth: NONE of the pedophilia stuff that has been released is more  than suggestive. I have seen NOTHING tht doesn't require me to take the word of somebody I don't know if I can trust. I'm not saying it's not true and I'm certainly not defending the Clintons, but I have not seen evidence of pedophilia that would be enough to result in a conviction.

shamus001's picture

Guilty by association:

The President and 1st lady fly on a private jet owned by a convicted pedophile, and fly to his "orgy island".

THE PRESIDENT!?  Not joe the plumber who has friends in low places, but tolerates their illegal activities because Joe knew bob as a kid, and know one really gives a damn about joe anyhow.

BUT should BOB become under investigation, ANY people with knowledge of said crimes are found to be 'conspirators'.

When do the Deplorables get to start killing the Despicables?  After we drag Hillary thru the streets Trump's naked dead body will be on public display...

r101958's picture

I am not sure, of course, but in my opinion he has to play it very carefully because he has two hurdles to jump- one electoral college vote on Dec 19th. Two- inauguration day. After that he can start doing what he needs and plans to do. Right now, he is trying to make it to that point.

Socratic Dog's picture

He has to make it to that point ALIVE.

I suspect hurdle number 1 is a bullet with his name on it.

Mr. Universe's picture

My crystal ball, though far from perfect thinks Pizzagate will be a scandal too far. Everything it has seen happen so far regarding this issue has pointed to a massive coverup. The dirty dealings go so deep and are so wide spread it could bring down not only our government but others as well. It is well known that the Clintons will blackmail anyone they can, those they can't, well there is another file full of names of those. If only there was some way to nail them for Seth Rich. The bad news is then this; This is too big to let out there. Good news is; this is too big not to get out there. Things are starting to fray at the edges, I'm hoping it all comes apart at the seams before they can reweave a story Muppets will believe.

HopefulCynical's picture

Someone else commented, either here or in the "Trump disses NYT" thread, that Twitter is killing accounts that reveal Twitter accounts which are sharing child porn. I've already noticed that not even "GOP favoring" Faux News made a peep about PizzaGate. I think this child-rape thing goes deeper than any of us can possibly conceive, and it very well may take pitchforks, torches, woodchippers and heads on pikes to resolve it. Which is all perfectly acceptable to me, frankly. Child rapists deserve no mercy whatsoever.

apocalypticbrother's picture

Yes. This is going to take ALOT of woodchippers

7thGenMO's picture

The Clintons may be blackmailing him with info from Epstein.  Apparently Trump visited his island, but he publicly acknowledged Epstein liked them "a little young," so I doubt he is involved with youngsters.  However, Epstein allegedly videotaped Prince Andrew, along with others, during their stay on his island. If Epstein has tape on Trump, it is an obvious problem.

However, although concerned and disappointed, I'll stick with Trump as long as he executes most of the program effectively, i.e. building the wall.

Sick Underbelly's picture

If you jump on the wagon and begin investigating:   a) save what you see with links to original sources, and then send it to archives with a link...these kiddie-molesting, deep-dark bastards remove shit left and right...if it's archived, and you have that archive link, those MF'ers can squirm and squeal to no avail, and b) use some sort of VPN and/or TOR Browser...if you get into the darker sections of the canyon that is "pizzagate", shit gets sick, fast and furious.

Reddit used to have the 'pizzagate' links under "The_Donald" section, and, finally, they branched off, as it, originally, was not, and to this day, does not include DT in the investigations.

Here's an experiment:

Engage anyone in your "circle" as to whether they know about pizzagate.

Then, read them the Podesta emails and ask them if they think it sounds curious the language being used.

Then, tell them what pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, walnut sauce, etc mean in pedo-speak--it's all there on that page.

Then, ask them if they need to re-read the email threads.

Ponk's picture

What evidence is there regarding Pizzagate? All I've seen are a bunch of quite juvenile attempts at assembling a narrative out what looks like incredibly naive readings of images, instagram etc. Don't get me wrong, I have no sympathy for those accused, but there doesn't really seem to be any evidence apart from the usual 'don't you understand, this is their secret special language and I know how to interpret it' nonsense.
