Trump Confirms "No Effect On The Outcome Of The Election" Following Intelligence Briefing

Tyler Durden's picture

President-elect Trump has issued a statement following his briefing with various intelligence agencies over the Russian hacking allegations, seemingly rejecting the Democrats' charges that it was the Russians alone and that it had any effect on the outcome of the election.

Additionally, Trump promised to appoint a team to give him a plan to combat cyber attacks within 90 days of taking office.

Full Statement:

Not quite the "stunning" reaction that Nancy Pelosi had.

The mainstream media is very disappointed...

Notice TRUMP did not exonerate Russia. Mm! Same policy vs Russia will continue. They were just setting it up for him.

gimli's picture

I'm glad he respects the intelligence community.

But I'll be happier when he fires all of them

y3maxx's picture

Trump says nice things @ them today.....fires their ass day after he takes office.

So up until this election the Russians were not trying to hack us?  So, this is all new and a big fucking deal?

froze25's picture

Hey Nancy, its because no one in their right mind believes the Lie, you do but that is because you are not in your right mind. Ding Bat

Anyone that works in Computer / Network Security knows that you do get attacks from Eastern Europe and Russia but they don't go back to the actual Gov'ts. We all know that China does on a non-stop basis but we can't talk about that now can we. China owns many Senators and Congressmen, they own Hillary.

spastic_colon's picture

i just hope his "committee" doesnt recommend more internet controls/censorship etc. based on his statement

Pelosi is shit.  She's a piece of work...

We all know that China does on a non-stop basis but we can't talk about that now can we.

Well, we can. My little vps gets poked and probed by the same retarded IPs from China, Russia and Vietnam every day. And the sad thing is that these highly trained state sponsored hackers get extra help on Friday/Saturday from script kiddies from nearby IPs. I guess that's how they influence what I get for dinner, the bastards, broccolis again.

Who better to put "Russian fingerprints"  on something than our noble, selfless CIA.  If they had done their job, none of this would have gone public and they would have kept their very Political mouths shut.

Oh yeah, the usual government solution- give us more money and hire more useless eaters.

I hope Trump has private security so these Dirty Noxious Criminals sychophants don't do a Praetorian Guard job on him.  "What price this throne?  Mr. Soros, Mr. Buffet, in the front row, why don't you give us an opening bid?"

Trump is bashed for doubting the Fake News out of cia, yet no MSM dares criticize Soweeto bin Bama for refusing to say the words, "islamic terrorist."

What about AIPAC hacking Congress, Trump?

anti-republocrat's picture

I agree with your concern about AIPAC.  My Dumbocrat Congressman, Tim Walz, voted with the rest of the crowd to support Israeli settlement building.  He complains privately about AIPAC, but knuckles under every time.  I hope he gets primaried by

I'm disappointed by Trump's pick of ambassador and statements about Jerusalem, but it's far more important to get the war-mongers out of the CIA and DoS.  Even that will be a blow to the entity in Palestine.  Since the two state solution is deader than a door nail, history will tend toward a single state with equal rights for all, though it may take more decades.

Roger Stone has his ears. He knows what these CIA f**ks are up to.

The flip side and far more accurate reckoning is that the US government/military/corporations spies 24/7/365 all over the world, and owns ALL politicians in the US, the EU, and a few Chinese/Russian entities.

The US as THE world hegemonic state didn't get that way by allowing the Chinese or Russians to "own" some of our politicians.

Read some current events.

anti-republocrat's picture

Correct.  Only Israel is allowed to own US politicians.

Antifaschistische's picture

I just disagree with the premise of "effect on outcome"

So...did those who contributed hundreds of millions to the Clinton foundation, INCLUDING foreign governments and individuals do so because it had NO outcome on the campaign/election?

OF COURSE...the entire reason we make contributions, the entire reason we talk to our friends about politics, the entire reason propogate good and bad messages is to HAVE an effect on the outcome in some way!!

It is NOT ILLEGAL to try and influence an election in a capaign...and its not even unethical.  George Soros does it, the Chinese Governemtn, the Saudi's, etc....

Now, having said all that, hacking is illegal...we understand that, and someone should get caught and pay their $8,000 fine and be put on probation for 2 years.  That's the only thing to discuss here.

...everything else is just a distraction from the actual contents of the emails.  contents of which...I hope does not get lost in this shuffle.

bobbbny's picture

The teetering colostomy bag can't admit she was beaten by Trump.

Better to blame it on the Russians.

BTW, can we talk about what was actually in those hacked emails?

Pizza anyone?

Russia hacks the US.

The US hacks Russia.

And Guccifer hacks the dumfuks at the DNC.

barndoor's picture

On the bright side, I don't think that Russia will need to do much hacking in the future; this dumb-ass will tweet the relevant national security information on an hourly basis.

Tenshin Headache's picture

That's the most uninformed comment in quite a while.

kings347's picture

In my opinion,,, I fully agree with you. However,,,no,,,no,,, politician ever wants to say that we do the same to  Russia, China, etc......and the USA  is probably much, much more sophisticated about what it is the USA does.....we never want to forget that 'stuxnut' that essentially shut down Iran's nuclear operations came out off the USA, Israel and Europe.......

JohninMK's picture

Pretty much got it there.

Not only will the US be doing 'normal' hacking but given that a large amount of Internet hardware was US designed, almost certainly with back doors, the US should be way ahead. Not forgetting all those Intel and Windows and possibly Apple systems out there.

Oh, and I nearly forgot, all those cell phones too.

anti-republocrat's picture

Oh hell, the USA hackds the USA!

847328_3527's picture

Now it's time to investigate the criminal activity exposed by the leaks that mainly involved members of the DNC like Hillary, Huma, Podesta, Mills, etc. I suspect that's why Comey gave them limited immunity...because they are all guilty.

I am a Man I am Forty's picture

No, he gave them limited immunity so they could take the 5th.  If he was doing his job he would have given one or two blanket immunity and required them to testify in court and in front of congress.

RiverRoad's picture

Podesta was "guilty" of making his password "password"!  So he makes an international incident out of it.  Dumb fuck.

Right. Now onto the contents of those emails....

Bumpo's picture

Dude, obviously not seeing Trump avoid the MSM trap. The point is, there is no way to know who did the "Hacking", if any "Hacking" took place, and what exactly was included in said "Hacking". So he's smart not to even get involved with the stupid argument that "Russia Hacked the Elections". I like the way he worded the one sentence, where its unclear if he's talking about who the potential hackers might be, vs which organizations in government need to be protected from hacking. Trump has provided very little Red Meat for his enemies to argue with.

kings347's picture

Yip! We wil just watch the actions that have happened to straighten up all the messes. Trump is not, is not going to tell the potential enemies of America what he is doing until AFTER the USA takes action. And...that is SMART THINKING! At least we have someone soon to be in the WH that has some brains...much more than the previous occupant!

The End

Whom ever did it has to be a "rayciss, homophobic, nazi, climate change denier!"

Rubicon727's picture

Some of you simply don't understand. It isn't about "hacking" or who hacked and didn't hack.

It's about NEO-Liberalism and American financial/military hegemony. While the US is embroiled in these little moronic slams against this or that person/entity, the rest of the world is moving on: China/Russia, other parts of Asia, and some Bric nations are busy making inroads of their own capitalist interests.

The world is moving away from American adventures that have helped to destroy some EU nations. America's power is facing blowback by some in the EU, some in Asia and the central players like China are constructing their own markets and capital.

It's called The Rise of Accumulation and it's inevitable downfall. It's happened to every previous empire since the beginning of time.

Get a clue.

Dark star's picture

There is rather a long list of Countries he did not exonerate.

The whole world has skin in the game as far as a US election is concerned, and everyone who could influence it, tried to influence it in their favoured direction.

The British BBC and the Guardian newspaper did everything in their power to get Clinton elected, others, (including me) did everything in their power to get Trump elected.

It is just another aspect of globalism, some may regard it as a good thing, others, perhaps not.

But nobody lied in order to influence the result; there is nothing underhand about revealing the truth. It is not a cause for war.

SWRichmond's picture

Like the Russians (reportedly), I celebrated Trump's election because it will mean that, if we survive the next 14 days, we have a chance not to have a nuclear war, something which was a virtual certainty had Hillary and the death cult been elected.

I think that is WORTH celebrating, if you celebrate life, which the MIC does not.  Hence Graham and McCain et al wanting to start a war.

This media blitz reminds me greatly of the runup to the Iraq invasion, where it was obvious the establishment wanted a war, and they tried constantly to make a public case for it, and in spite of the case coming up short they did it anyway and then immediately started saying "if you dont support the war you are not supporting the troops!"

So we can expect that next.

Caleb Abell's picture

Why does everyone bash poor senator John "Songbird" McCain.  The guy's love of war is only a result of his trying to overcome the Songbird's shame for surrendering to the North Vietnamese and then collaborating with them so they would treat him better than the other POWs.

So give him a break.  He's only trying to regain his lost honor.

anti-republocrat's picture

Yeah, as I think of it, I hope Putin was smart enough to try to influence our election, just as the US tries to influence elections all over the world.  And I'm glad his people were smart enough not to leave irrefutable evidence.

Canadian Dirtlump's picture

trump was being charitable by not saying that the hysterical reports are full of shit.

Handful of Dust's picture

On Jan 21st he should have delivered "therapy puppies" to all these people.

anti-republocrat's picture

Of course not.  He knows everybody hacks everybody.  What he did do is highlight the lax security of the Dumbocrats and the relatively better security of the Republicans.  I am not a Republican or a conservative, but I'm glad he stuck it back in the face of the idiot Dumbocrats who don't even know what phishing is.  If brandnewcongress does not successfully primary over half the Dems in Congress and take over the Democratic Party, it will remain Dumbocrats.

Just incredible that Pill-osi says nothing needs to change.

Blaming George Soros for everything you don't like/understand is just as stupid and mentally lazy as "the Russians did it!" corporate media meme.

Are you inferring that Soros isn't responible for a lot of criminal and underhanded acts?

Please clarify.
