Who Does America Believe? 84,000 Votes Later, Here Is The Answer

Tyler Durden's picture

Earlier in the week, president-elect Donald Trump tweeted that:

"It is for the American people to make up their minds as to the truth."

And now we have the answer.

When CNBC's Podesta-panderer and Trump-denier John Harwood asked the question yesterday "who do you believe America?" we suspect he was not expecting the answer he received from over 84,000 American citizens...

It would appear that "We, the people" have spoken once more and only 1 in 6 believe in the elite establishment-delivered narrative.

This merely confirms Lou Dobbs' survey from earlier in the week.

Once again the establishment has learned absolutely nothing from the campaign and election of Donald Trump, and refuses to listen to anything outside of the cozy echo-chamber in which they hamster-wheel their lives away in.

This is Putin's fault right ?

It is because of Russian propaganda that Americans do not trust their government right ?

The spooks are in a tight spot.

i hope the more scientific polls, like gallup and the l.a. times, start asking u.s. citizens more of the incomfortable questions like this one and others involving government lies and errors:

9-11, the bush and obama wars, the impunity of the banksters, whether the dnc stole the nomination from bernie, etc.

and anything fishy that trump might try.  keep him making america great again: rule of law not rule of man; we've had enough of that from the last two.

Over 50% of American closer to 60% are in favor of legalizing pot.

Also both your links go to the same page that states drug testing welfare recipients is a waste of money and time.

Furthermore lets talk about the assinine similiarities of trying to ban drugs and trying to ban guns both are practically speaking impossible.

But maybe you were being sarcastic?

And so the idiot Hillary-Obama sycophant John Harwood of the Deep State press gets his ass handed to him yet again, no doubt he will say Russian trolls hacked his account...lol...whatever.

I would like to state for the record, I cannot trust a former KGB officer anymore than I can a former CIA officer...BUT...having said that, lets play out a different "narrative".

For the purposes of this exercise lets say its true, that Russia ("rogue agents" or not...lol) passed purloined emails to Julian Assange to the benefit of (however miniscule) Donald Trump. Lets not forget that Hillary was already damaged goods, being under multiple federal investigations for unsecured email servers and her habitual cronyism within the Clinton Foundation, with decades of back story of, shall we say, favoritism towards anyone who had the money or access to buy her off that would make even Maduro blush.

But at the end of the day the Russians only exposed the truth so that the American people could decide for themselves...yes? This is said to be a bad thing by Deep State press operatives, these revelations of...truthiness...that led to Debbie Wassername-Schultz stepping down as chair of the DNC.

Bad for what...the truth or the DNC?

And also, given this administrations propensity to smuggle arms willy-nilly into sovereign nations (Mexico, Libya & Syria for example) for purposes of general mayhem apparently and Hillary was to be an extension of those policies by her own admission is it any wonder they might see Trump as less of a "loose cannon" than Hillary and give the American people a gift?

DaddyO's picture

You're exactly right!

Has anyone who got exposed said anything about the truth of their "so called" hacked emails?

Donna Brazile has admitted that they were authentic, no?

So go after the messenger and/or accomplishes and discredit them...age old liberal tactic.

Good post, nmewn.

Its an endless procession of Look! Over there! Squirrels!!! with these people...lol...so I guess the good thing is there are still enough dims who said no more Clintons just like we said no more Bush's.

"It was by the sober sense of our citizens that we were safely and steadily conducted from monarchy to republicanism, and it is by the same agency alone we can be kept from falling back." - some old dead white guy ;-)

Wow! That's a lot of text about politics. But you know what's more important?

Wall Street is giving out their annual bonuses next week! The market will certainly make a movement, and then political pundits can - as you say - place a political narrative around why. The great thing about a two-party system is that misdirection is so easy: You only have to draw the public's attention to who's to blame and you can do whatever you want behind the scenes!

Isn't America grand?

Anyone who thinks that a poll of the people who listen or watch CNBC are representative of the American populance are complete idiots or are purposefully pushing propaganda for their own agendas. Your choice, which is it?

Dormouse's picture

I Fucking hope you're right. But an open-air inauguration with so much hate and violence already displayed, numerous tactics to discredit the election, President Hussein dropping lit matches next to gas cans, never calling for calm publicly, and all the foreshadowing of "Trump will never be president"—I'm fearful.
These people were ambushed, rejected, embarrassed and humiliated. Liary didn't agree to show up for the purpose of healing. It's plausible denyablity and possibly to give her street-cred on sniper fire. Deep State is cornered and their world is not just about to end or be upended but also be exposed. DJT is a spigot of truth, a construction man who brings in a wrecking ball to demolish ghettos before erecting classy brass-plated edifices.
In 13 days I'll retract my concern with reservation but be fearful for the next 8 years of these Bolshevik mongels. If he's smart, he'd arrange to take one in the Kevlar day-one so he can rain fire and brimstone on these fucking traitors with out mercy.

It should read, "Whom does America believe?"  Not being a grammar Nazi, merely pointing out that this journalist doesn't even know how to use the principal tool of his profession.  Is it any wonder that the things he produces w/those tools are rubbish?

Hans-Zandvliet's picture

For America, I don't know: in general U.S. society has profited from the CIA's lethal pathological qualities (maybe until recently)

For the rest of the world surely a decades old cancer.

jeff montanye's picture

i don't see how the cia has turned the u.s. a profit:

the cia led revolt in iran in '54 overthrew mossadegh, put in the shah and led to the ayatollah khomeini's theocratic dictatorship in '80.

the cia encouraged war in vietnam, complete with the assassination of diem and the gulf of tonkin incident, led to the death of over fifty thousand u.s. citizens, many drafted under threat of incarceration, and over a million indochinese in the war's hostilities and nearly two million more in the resulting khmer rouge genocide.  all for less than nothing from the west's standpoint.

the cia's long standing alliance with the mossad has dragged the u.s., its reputation, its treasury, and its people (jfk, rfk, the u.s.s. liberty, the marines in beirut, the hostages in lebanon, the 9-11 victims, rachel corrie, the soldiers that have died in afghanistan, iraq and all the other israel fomented wars since 2001) nearly into an early grave.  no profit do i see.

heuvosYbacon's picture

You have to look at the shareholders if you want to see profits. Stop looking at the working joes.

Check out the Coward John McCain. You think he and his family didn't do well out of the vietnam war? His family have moved from strength to strength on the corpses of those not able to negotiate a deal with their communist enemies when the time came. He is still minting loot from the blood of patriots.

And what about the Bush clan? You think they haven't profited by keeping Iran and Russia out of the global oil market?

The business of war is great for everybody who matters. If you can't see the profits, you are fixated with the lower orders of humanity. You probably think you live in a democracy, and under the rule of law, and other such rabble rousing nonsense.

When you vote "yes" or "no" to the laws under which you live, then you live in a democracy. Then you are emancipated and have a voice as a man. Until then, you live in a republic, and you choose from amongst the chosen. As such, it is not your place to see profits.

Republics never were supposed to be democracies. They replaced theocracies, and they were a great idea, at the time. War for profit is just the noise a republic makes, it is the sound of its engine running.

Since means never justify ends and the US was supposed to be based on the same as well as individual liberty... and the CIA is based on ends justifying means to the point that they've forgotten long ago what the ends actually were; I say no.  The CIA is a liability to freedom and basic human life home and abroad.  They are an enemy of all humanity.  They must be removed, ripped out and destroyed.
