Trump Impeachment Now Even Odds At Bookies

Tyler Durden's picture

Ladbrokes are offering bettors 'even' odds that president-elect Donald Trump will leave office via impeachment or resignation by the end of his first term...

Interestingly, they are also offering 5/1 odds that Obama is still the sitting President on February 1st 2017.

However, PaddyPower appears to have 'jumped the shark' with its Trump proposition bets.

From 4/1 odds of being impeached in the first 6 months to 500/1 odds that Trump will paint the entire White House gold, there is something for everyone here...

>tfw American so you can't make cucked Euros any poorer than they already are while simultaneously getting enough capital to make your own little corner of America great again.

Maybe its because their economy is even more finance-based than America (or hell, New York as a standalone) but the British sure do seem to love 'having a punt'.

Let us be honest. This time we did not have good choices electing a new US president:

  • Hillary was a very arrogant, stupid, extremely greedy, low-life, far-left extremist socialist. She was not giving a shit about the USA or its people
  • Trump was a very arrogant, extremely greedy, psychopathic buffoon with an extremely limited aattention span. Trump does not understand the meaning of National Interests. Having serious megalomania and very limited vision, Trump assumes that he will be capable of subjugating the entire world with his gigantic negotiation skills. However failing to achieve much or anything, Trump will fall into a violent depression becoming outright dangerous to everybody leading to his removal from the office.

We have some real rocket scientists posting on ZH these days... Let's start with a simple question...  Impeachment proceedings against the POTUS start where? The answer is in Congress... Next question, who controls the Congress? Now you are catching on...

LOL!  Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing.  Do people really think that the Republican congress will impeach Trump?  Morons.

justin423's picture

Uh, pence is predictable, trump is not.
Conviction by the Senate would do wonders for the Republican agenda.

Kina's picture

If the GOP were to go to and vote on an impeachment it would be total suicide for the party. They would be decimated, be History.

Come mid-terms and next Presidntial elections - the GOP would get slaughetered in a back lash...and having only just got back into power, with a nation wide state advantage, to then toss it away on a whim?????

I think even the butt-hurt section of the GOP are smart enough to realise that not supporting Trump is suicide.

  • Trump's personal support is why the GOP did so well in HOR and Senate, and why they have a Republican President.
opport.knocks's picture

They might if:
a) Trump does a major screw up
b) they get their patsy/puppet in as VP.

Like trading Agnew for Ford under Nixon.

I believe the correct expression is: SHOO IN, not FOOTWARE IN. English defrosted.

Fuck you. Get yours. Leave us alone.

These were the same Irish potato heads  that were paying out Hillary bets two weeks before the election because it was a foregone conclusion that she would win.

"what were the odds trump wins vs killary?"

I got 5:1 at the Greek (https://www.thegreek.com/sportsbook). easiest money I EVER made!

No political odds up right now.

fx's picture

Well I would offer that 50:50, too, to any fool willing to pay such a ridiculous price. Even odds for resignation/impeachment? Are you kidding me? Trump will either be assassinated by the liberal-snowflake-nwo-warmongers and their willing tools in the intelligence community or he will finish his first term and likely get a second one.

DeadFred's picture

If they added assassination into the mix then even odds would have been reasonable. Suicide by two shots to the head should be included in that category IMHO

PhilofOz's picture
Coral's odds are nothing short of theft! Odds for what Trump will first talk about at his inauguration speech has a percentage of over 270%. In other words to back all options to win $100 will cost you over $270. Fisrt state visit odds are not a lot better at 180% with well over a hundred countries not even included in the betting.
MalteseFalcon's picture

These betting sites have been consistently wrong on Brexit and Trump.

The market for these bets is so small that any asshole with a moderate size bet can swing the action and get an anti-Trump headline.

Get ready for 8 full years of Trump and one thoroughly drained swamp.

bobsmith5's picture

Get ready for 8 full years of draining the septic tank and cesspool completely for a thorough cleaning.  But, if he allows the ritual satanic sacrifice of any more children, their torture, and enslavement by these demonic creatures that are in there, nothing will ever change.

When I was a kid people called me an odd child.

I vowed to spend the rest of my life getting even!

StychoKiller's picture

Are these the same Jackwagons that had the odds of Hillary winning at 5:1?

Raffie's picture

Grab Hillary by the ankles and swing her like a bat beating George Soros to death with her.

That would be one sweet beat for sure.

Creative_Destruct's picture

Hard to get a grip on those THIIIIICK canckles. Easier to swing her by the hair and bash Soros with the canks.

Oldwood's picture

We can bet that if they fail to prevent Trump from taking office they will NEVER stop trying to impeach him, and they will use the preponderance of FAKE evidence as proof. It will be shown that a CONSENSUS of "reliable mainstream media sources" believe that Trump is unfit and illegitimate as president...All the PROOF they need.

BarkingCat's picture

I don't think they want to open that Pandora's box.

Really thinking about setting up an account on there...

Thoughts? Anybody use it?

BlindMonkey's picture

I would try with the sure bets first.  Whatever the odds, he isn't going to say "bigly" at the inauguration speech.

AViewFromDublin's picture

"Bigly"

Didn't the robot in Buck Rogers use to say that?

SgtShaftoe's picture

"bigly bigly bigly, But Buck, why does everyone wear such silly clothes in the future?"

Hahahhahahahaha..thanks for thr laugh :)

I do Croseus..its okay for soccer bets, horse racing and novelty bets if thats your thing. They have a thing called 'Cash Card Plus' which works in much the same way as a Visa or Mastercard in that you can directly withdraw your winnings from an ATM machine with this card immediately or shop online.

Handy because you don't have to wait 3-5 days for it to go into your account if you make a withdrawal the standard way.

I am not sure if this facility is available to the US market though...I'm assuming you are American.

PS - I was very close to sticking a €1,000 on Trump at 9/2 last September :(

Croesus's picture

@ Dublin:

Thank you for the information! I just saw the post below mine, saying no Americans allowed, but I'll check it out anyway.

AViewFromDublin's picture

You're very welcome Croseus.

So they do not ask for your address to set up an account?  I wonder if MC and VISA have Paddy's blocked on U.S. accounts?
