U.N. Official Admits Global Warming Agenda Is Really About Destroying Capitalism

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Martin Armstrong via ArmstrongEconomics.com,

A shocking statement was made by a United Nations official Christiana Figueres at a news conference in Brussels.

Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism. She said very casually:

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”

She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake:

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

I was invited to a major political dinner in Washington with the former Chairman of Temple University since I advised the University with respect to its portfolio. We were seated at one of those round tables with ten people. Because we were invited from a university, they placed us with the heads of the various environmental groups. They assumed they were in friendly company and began speaking freely. Dick Fox, my friend, began to lead them on to get the truth behind their movement. Lo and behold, they too admitted it was not about the environment, but to reduce population growth. Dick then asked them, “Whose grandchild are we trying to prevent from being born? Your’s or mine?

All of these movements seem to have a hidden agenda that the press helps to misrepresent all the time. One must wonder, at what point will the press realize they are destroying their own future?

Investors.com reminds Figueres that the only economic model in the last 150 years that has ever worked at all is capitalism. The evidence is prima facie: From a feudal order that lasted a thousand years, produced zero growth and kept workdays long and lifespans short, the countries that have embraced free-market capitalism have enjoyed a system in which output has increased 70-fold, work days have been halved and lifespans doubled.

Looks like the mental illness aganda is getting the best of president Bannon.

SelfGov's picture

Oh and if climate change is false can anybody explain to me why a furnace loses most of its power to heat the air when there aren't any greenhouse gasses mixed in it?

IVLIANVS AVGVSTVS's picture

Climate change is real but not from man's constribution to it with CO2.

SelfGov's picture

Well a furnace in an atmosphere of nitrogen and a tiny amount of CO2 is far far more efficient than in an atmosphere of nitrogen alone.

Yeah bring the downvotes but they're all meaningless unless somebody can provide an explanation for these facts. :)

otschelnik's picture

Your furnace is not going to heat at all without oxygen, cupcake.  That's a fact.  Burning is an oxidation process whereby carbon is converted to carbon dioxide and energy is released.  CO2 and nitrogen constitute about 80% of our atmosphere but heat comes from "oxidation."

otschelnik's picture

That's called entropy and its one of the 3 laws of thermodynamics, and has nothing to do with climate change.

SelfGov's picture

That shows that you clearly have no idea what climate change is or why it would happen. :)

Changing CO2 concentration changes the specific heat of the atmosphere. So does changing the concentrations of H20 and Methane.

If you cannot see the link between the climate and the furnace example I gave then you have no standing to have an opinion on climate change. Not one that should be taken seriously anyway.

SelfGov's picture

Just need to comment on this again. This is literally as stupid as saying, "Yeah I get all my water for free. I pay a water bill though but I don't think they have anything to do with one another."

Falconsixone's picture

I work hard to add things to your water and no one thanks me so why would I pay them to spray me like a bug? Fuck'em! Get a clue Mr.SelfGov I dont need them and they dont need me or you. FACT: THEY WANT YOU DEAD. Your a threat to their power and they're smarter then you so eat up and go get a drink of water. selfgov lol

SelfGov's picture

So you're what it looks like when somebody uses words to express emotions instead of ideas.

Falconsixone's picture

Is that an emotions or idea?

IVLIANVS AVGVSTVS's picture

It is a great story but it is already a few years old.

For a minute there I thought you were going to have somebody with credibility like Karen Hudes. ROFL

I hate to tell you sweatie, but your WRONG, very WRONG

Global Warming is all about Global Governance. It is a Layer of Governance ABOVE a countries Government, including the USA

Giving them total control over any decision that a Coutries Government wants to do.

This is part of the New World Order

HenryHall's picture

The world is warming. Simple scientific fact. It's a slow process that will eventually reach a tipping point.

The warming may or may not be human caused, it has warmed at times previously in pre-human history.

It might be that the industrial revolution caused warming that saved us all from being killed in a new Ice Age!

We just don't know. And it doesn't really matter whether it is human caused or not.

What really matters is whether the warming can be human fixed or not. And all the available evidence suggests that it cannot. So we shouldn't be trying to.

So what we should be doing is accepting warming and sea level rise as inevitable and start coping with it. Like building aquaducts from Montana now (and Canada later) to California.

baldknobber's picture

Why would the sea levels rise?

VinceFostersGhost's picture

Yeah.....when is the sea gonna rise.....cause it hasn't yet.

I heard we only had 500 days left......but that was a long time ago.

HenryHall's picture

>> Why would the sea levels rise?

Structural (mechanical) failure of WAIS - the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, much of which is grounded (not floating) but nonetheless below sea level.

When it fails it will add about 5 meters to sea level.

This is to be contrasted with sea level rise due to melting - which is centuries away.

Griffin's picture

As the ocean temperatures rise the water expands, and since 70 percent of the planet is covered with water, we are talking about a immense body of water.

Rising ocean temperatures will also affect ocean currents, changing weather systems.

The oceans absorb the vast majority of all co2 in the atmosphere, and as the ocean temperatures rise, the oceans will absorb less co2 and rising co2 levels will have a warming effect on the climate.

Unlikely. It royally screws up HF ham radio.

Wrong sir.  The warming certainly has a significant human component.  It may not be the only component.  We work as scientists and, believe me, there are more doubters amongst us than the media you read will have you believe.  And despite that, many of the doubters agree that the data plausibly demonstrates both correlation and substantial causation.

PoasterToaster's picture
PoasterToaster (not verified) NordikAvenger Feb 3, 2017 9:57 AM

The data doesn't support any such thing.  That's why they created models to massage it into the shape they like.  It's all bullshit, and it's all bad for you.

HenryHall's picture

>> Wrong sir.  The warming certainly has a significant human component.

I'm not saying it doesn't have a significant human component.

I am saying it does not matter one way or the other as to whether is has a significant human component or not.

withglee's picture

We work as scientists and, believe me, there are more doubters amongst us than the media you read will have you believe.

That being the case, why did they have to resort to the tactics revealed in the "emails"? I read them and it reinforced my opinion of you "so-called" scientists. I went to college with these so-called scientists as fellow students, graduate assistants, professors, and tenured PhDs.

It became obvious to me ... your so-called scientists came for a sample that couldn't get jobs when they got their bachelor's degree ... so went for a masters ... same thing ... then the PhD ... same thing. Less than 1% of these so-called scientists ever create anything original and profound. Evidence abounds of the incestuousness of their papers. One thing poor stupid George W got right ... it's about footnotes.

When I read those emails I saw focused attacks on Steve McIntyre. I've informally followed him ever since as a sanity check. Thanks emails.

See Climate Audit ... his website.

Global warming is like WTC7. It is a litmus test revealing the stupid and the criminal among us. Simple polls prove 94+% of the population are clueless dupes!

it has warmed at times previously in pre-human history.

And it has "cooled". What are you, a diode?

Moe Howard's picture

No, let California go dry.

Nunyadambizness's picture

Dude, read some science.  The globe has been COOLING since 1998.  Also, please tell me:  How many ICE AGES have there been on this planet?  Hmm?  Is it reasonable to think that there would be WARMING PERIODS in between them?  ALSO:  Please tell me why the Medieval Warming Period is not talked about among these global "scientists"??  Maybe because it destroys their "hypotheses" about AGW?  They were growing grapes and making wine in England of all places!!  Look it up.

Pretty lame spin, But what do you expect from Martin? Tyler, your transition to a trump property is going poorly - really sad to see the ongoing whoring of your readers. Is there no business news to cover nowcthat you've decided it's all trumponomics all the time? What happened to the rigged markets?

Rigged markets proven and prosecuted.  Time to move on to supporting Trump 24-7 against people like you and your stupid pro-slavery agenda.

Nice icon.  What planet are you on?  Is this the wisdom you have chosen to beam down to us Earthlings?  Do you have more Hillarys or more Trumps on you planet?  Please, tell us everything.  We will probably like you.

has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism. She said very casually:

Ah ... if that were only true. Capitalism and communism are the two greatest cons in the last four or five generations. They are the same thing ... like the Harlem Globe Trotters and the Washington Generals ... regardless of the outcome Abe Saperstein "always" won.

It's not clear who the Abe Saperstein is in the Communism/Capitalism ploy ... but globalization "is" the end game ... and has been the keeper of capitalism/communism throughout our recent world history. The best way to find the knob turners are "follow the money and power".

That goes straight to the banks ... and to Rothschilds who control all but a couple of the world's central banks ... central banks which are totally unnecessary and counter productive when a "proper" MOE process is employed.

Banks create governments. Banks overthrow (replace)governments when govrnments try to take the reins themselves. Democracy is a cruel joke that obviously can't ever work when more than 50 people are involved.

Environmental activists are just tools ... the stupidest tools imaginable. So are the so-called liberals/progressives ... and so are the so-called conservatives ... and so are "all" religions.

It seems to be the only thing that contrasts the human animal from the "higher" animals ... self delusion.

Get a clue!

mary mary's picture

I am the other type of environmentalist.  Not the "activist".  The type who plants trees in his yard, puts LED light bulbs in his lamps, insulates, etc.  It's fun.

withglee's picture

I am the other type of environmentalist.  Not the "activist".

I am too ... but have gone a little farther. I have been totally off grid for 13 years now ... really as a game rather than necessity. It's a very very comfortable and healthy and secure and reliable life. I only have 3 solar panels and 10 golf cart batteries ... 300W full sine wave inverter. I almost never need my generator except to power tools. I use less than 1KWH daily ... less than $0.20. Use it for charging phone and computer and powering electronic musical instruments ... really for things that don't have a better non-electrical alternative. Environmentalists care nothing about environment. They are a political attack vector ... and most don't even know that.

mary mary's picture

Kudos.  I can't do it yet because of family politics.  But, little by little....  Yes, it's fun.

Christiana Figueres

In 2014 the UN's climate chief witch Christiana Figueres said

Fortunately, there is a real, tangible and credible momentum for change

In 2016 when she's gunning for UN Secretary General (probably because can't get a real Job) said:

Change is needed to rebuild public faith in the UN as a credible institution,

and will require a new way of working and bolder leadership.

Your Honor, I rest my case.

silverer's picture

The US has a birth control model. It subsidizes welfare recipients to have lots of kids, while the working, productive, taxpaying sector cuts back when times are tough. This system encourages do nothings and uneducated people to fill the planet up with more do nothing uneducated people, and the cycle continues. Do you want birth control, Christiana? Maybe you should encourage the US to drop welfare completely, and go BACK to capitalism. Can't afford a kid? Don't have one. That's nature's method (essentially capitalism in its purest form) of birth control.

mary mary's picture

Right!  To control population, simply stop paying people to pump out babies.  Duh!

That's why, again, as President, I will give Welfare Crooks exactly one year after my inauguration to pump out (welfare) babies to get money from taxpayers so they won't have to work for a living.  But any baby born on day 366 or later gets nothing, and his parents get nothing for pumping him out.  No "earned income allowance", no form-1040 exemption, no Social Security Welfare, no subsidized housing, no food stamps, no Medicaid, no free school lunches: nothing!

I will give Immigrants zero (0) days.  Taxpayers give you nothing.  Our ancestors all had to compete; you have to compete.  The USA is a Competition Nation, not a Welfare Nation.

My fellow taxpayers, just watch how fast the birth rates drop!  And, as a direct result, watch how fast Big Welfare spending drops.  Trillions and trillions and trillions.  You're welcome, taxpayers.

Of course, I know the Judeocatholics who have the plum "welfare agency" jobs are going to scream.  They are Welfare Crooks too.  Let them scream for their Satan to give them more taxpayer money so that they don't have to get real jobs and compete.  I won't give them that money.  And I know who they are screaming for.

Overdrawn's picture

It's true that only those on welfare can afford large familes. Unfortunately, most of these type of parents do not produce good, hard working citizens, instead the majority of such children go on to live a life of poverty and/or crime, which does not help society.  Why would the Governments of the world encourage uneducated mass reproduction while penalising adults who could provide a decent home for a child to flourish in?  Why is depopulation aimed at white people?

mary mary's picture

I think because the percentage of protestants is higher among white people, and protestants tend to be less "macho", more responsible.  Blacks seem caught in a poverty loop.  Their leaders/preachers seem unwilling to stand up and tell their flocks to be more responsible.  In general, if the Oligarchs can teach the males to be selfishly "macho", and can dangle paychecks in front of the females who have to feed and change and burp the resulting babies, then the Oligarchs can keep the birthrate up.

Plus, the Oligarchs try to outlaw everything which would allow the females to avoid pregnancy.  The Roman Catholic Church in particular does that.

My hope is that Trump stops the Welfare Gravy Train dead in its tracks.

PitBullsRule's picture

Too slow, we can't wait a lifetime to lower the population, because we'll all be dead.  Best way to reduce the population, is a big juicy war.  If you want to save the world, we need a war.

M4570D0N's picture

this is from 2 years ago, and it was just as dumb back then.

mary mary's picture

I'm still all for reducing population.  Long list of reasons.  But, basically, I think the worst imaginable crime is to take the most beautiful planet in the solar system and extinct half of its species.  The "holocaust" is a spoiled baby's tantrum compared to extincting an entire species, and we have already extincted thousands, and are still on a binge to extinct most of the rest, in our mad sociopathic rush to serve our "vanity" (which we disguise as "the economy" and "growth" and "development").

"Thou shalt have no other gods before ME" means "thou shalt not set thyself up in vanity to be a god".  Yet the graven image is right there, a huge bull statue, in the middle of Wall Street, home of our government, printer of our "sovereign" money.  Wall Street, land of the proud, home of the satanists.  Still worshipping themrselves.  Always worshipping themselves.  And, lastly, since we let this continue, since we let the Satanists continue to destroy God's green-and-blue planet, none of us will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Also in the developing world.

Bangladesh has a fertility rate of 2.22, which means they're on track for population stability.
