Politicians Are Now Making Plans In Case The Public Turns Against Them Violently

As protests continue to break out all around the nation over President Donald Trump’s desire to scrap Obamacare, Politico reported Tuesday that many politicians are beginning to worry about their own personal safety — to the point where some are having private sessions to discuss the matter.

Citing sources who were in the room, Politico writes:

“House Republicans during a closed-door meeting Tuesday discussed how to protect themselves and their staffs from protesters storming town halls and offices in opposition to repealing Obamacare.”

Some of the suggestions, the news outlet reports, include “having a physical exit strategy at town halls, or a backdoor at congressional offices to slip out of, in case demonstrations turn violent; having local police monitor town halls; replacing any glass office-door entrances with heavy doors and deadbolts; and setting up intercoms to ensure those entering congressional offices are there for appointments, not to cause chaos.”

While protests are popping up all over, the Republicans’ private session was no doubt prompted by events that happened over the weekend. While speaking before a raucous crowd in Roseville, California, Representative Tom McClintock had to be escorted from the stage and away from the event by local police officers.

McClintock, who held town hall meetings during the politically volatile days of both the Tea Party and Occupy movements, told The Hill he’s never seen anything like it:

“This was something very different. After an hour, the incident commander for the Roseville Police Department advised us the situation was deteriorating and felt it necessary to get me out of the venue. That’s never happened before.”

This sentiment appeared to be echoed at Tuesday’s closed-door session. Commenting on the meeting, Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker of North Carolina stated:

“The message was: One, be careful for security purposes. Watch your back. And two, be receptive. Honor the First Amendment, engage, be friendly, be nice. Because it is toxic out there right now. Even some of the guys who have been around here a lot longer than I have, have never seen it to this level.”

Sources told Politico that the potential for violence is serious enough, in fact, that the House sergeant-at-arms has asked congressional offices to report any threat. That office is also passing out manuals on best practices to keep staffers safe.

Ironically, the backlash over the possible repeal of Obamacare that Republicans are facing now is similar to the backlash faced by Democrats years back as they were trying to force Obamacare into law.

“It’s not that you run from protesters,” Representative David Reichert of Washington said during an interview after the meeting, “but if someone presents some sort of physical threat or are espousing a verbal threat that could lead to a physical threat, if you feel that you’re in danger and your staff is in danger, call 911 and leave and go out the back door.”

In other words…run. Call the cops and run.

In Case The Public Turns Against Them Violently.

In case...it's inevitable!
There are people being paid to make it happen.

These fuckers should worry.  You can run but you can't hide mutherfuckers!

I'm sorry but I really don't understand how anybody could be against the repeal of Obamacare? Except, of course, paid Soros "protestors" and those who are getting free healthcare on the backs of hard-working middle-class Americans who are getting screwed by ever higher premiums and higher deductibles. Such is the way of Socialism. At this point in time, America really has to decide what it wants to be?

greenskeeper carl's picture

I know. The majority of the country was aginat this, every single poll that I saw said so. Despite howls of opposition, and a whole bunch of protests, it was crammed up our asses on a straight party line vote, again, against the will of a clear majority. Despite a majority of people being against it, and a whole bunch of protests, not one person was attacked over it. No property was damaged, and the marches held not only remained civil, they largely cleaned up after themselves. The only instance of alleged misconduct by the anti obama care protestors was the allegation by complete piece of shit Congressman Elijah Cummings that people were yelling "nigger" at him and other black congresscritters, which, despite dozens of cameras recording, not one picked it up.

Now, we have the other side. Despite losing, big time, they think they have the right to impose their minority opinion on the entire country. Most of them probably don't work, don't pay taxes, and ride in the cart while never having helped pull it. And they are willing to assualt and harm those who pay for the very things they demnad. They need to be dealt with, harshly.

Having a C130 gunship circle a few times with a few Apache helicopters for support will make any rowdy crowd think twice.

Simple solution.

First label violent “protestors” as what they really are… TERRORISTS.

And dead Papa Dick Daley had an easy to implement action plan for violent protestors (TERRORISTS) in 1968.

“Shoot to kill”.

Easy solution is to give Soros a nail gun

When their was protests during Obama and the tea party it was just as bad and they know it.  It's really bad for them because it's more than just black people but other races and whites who are protesting and they aren't use to that.

The useful idiots seem to be doing their job; although somewhat haphazardly...

The crazys need to organize better; & on top of that, Soros & son's need to stick their necks out just a little bit farther financing this crap; to the point where the politicians believe that the Soros constitute a direct threat to their lives & livleyhoods; which would be instrumental in their removal from the U.S./ imprisonment, & a confiscation of their assets located in the U.S.
Of course extradition to Russia would work well, also.

I'm sure Mr. Putin would just love to have Soros & Son's as houseguests!

Try reading.  When Shakespeare said "kill all the lawyers" it was an illustration of what little grasp the speaker had of how society functioned.  Nice work.

In the context of Obamacare, and lawyer John Roberts' ruling that Obamacare was a lawful tax of the King... it is a contextually correct use of the quote.

One must separate the words and perspectives of the character and the author.  Furthermore, in both cases- the lawyers enable the sovereign to do as he pleases.  Dick the Butcher was correct in his assertion of how society functioned.

It's not "the public" ... it is soros funded thugs and Democrat fanatics who should have been locked up after the first riot. Since the police fail to protect the people and arrest them, they simply travel from city to city in the soros busses and riot and beat people up.

Start arresting them and this will end. It's a pretty simple solution.

Reap what you've sown elite bitchez.

And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone
Dragged down by the stone.

When Trump voters like myself get into the game....it will be no game.  Game Over....  Bring it you snowflake fucks....you will NEVER yell in my face.

Note to self...order another couple cans of bear mace...(9 oz....35 feet...Shocking Blast for 5 seconds...will take out a crowd..)

Always remember...if you get pulled over with this...or accidentally have it on your person...you were intending to be in bear country and forgot you had it...

LetThemEatRand's picture

Trump voters like myself can't help but notice that this is all a distraction because the fucking Republican controlled Congress (and Trump) are already punting Obamacare repeal to the end of this year or beginning of next, which probably means never.   We have a Republican in the White House, a Republican Senate, and a Republican House, all of whom promised an end to Obamacare.  Sure some Republican swamp members don't like Trump, but almost all of them said they want to end Obamacare at the first opportunity.  Well, here it is.  But they can't do it, because why?  We've been had.

All zh'ers should take a moment to write President trump and express your thoughts. I persoanlly write him every week since he has been elected thanking him for his work rebuilding our nation. Here is the wh contact page...take a second and write him...I am sure he or whomever reads his stuff will see he has support out here despite the left wing nuts in California and Seattle. I have always gotten an informative response.

Here is the wh contact web site:

If you do not speak up, you may wake up one morning and find Soros' boot on your throat.

LetThemEatRand's picture

You personally write to Trump every week at a .gov email address, thanking him for his work rebuilding the nation, because otherwise Soros will put his boot on your/my throat.

Cult of personality.

We're fucked.

Thanks for the link to the wh. I usually only write my local officials but I'll write to The Boss also. Why not, verdad. I am sure he gets an earfull of shit from the Hillary crooks. Plus, I hate a boot on my throat.

I also like the Bear Spray link. Much better then the wussy pepper spray where it just makes the 6'4" 285 lbs 'gentle giant' attacker madder.

SWRichmond's picture

Products advertised as bear mace are actually allowed to have less pepper content than products advertised for use on humans.

Citxmech's picture

Dogs and bears are much more sensitive, hence less active ingredient needed.  The point isn't to permanently injure the animal.

As far as human belligerents, some of that Pepper/CS combo shit the cops use seems to work pretty good.  If it's good enough for the Seattle PD it should be good enough for anyone, right?

detached.amusement's picture

as such, that spray just makes the 9'4" 875lbs bear madder, too

Let's not throw in the towel yet Rand.....

It's been two weeks.

Anyone who thought the leftoid douchebags would give up and roll over is naive.

I expected the crying to continue.

You HAVE to remember; Soetero"Care" is NOT healthcare; it's an insurance mandate, and there are some POWERFUL lobbying, lobbyists and corporations behind all the ACA effluvium.

It cannot be simply swiped away like a fly at a picnic.

Trump is moving at light speed, but we now know one blocking move the left will employ; the cunts on the 9th circuit, and don't think for one minute this group of cock-smokers in robes was chosen at random.

This is one of the arrows in the Soros/David Brock-cock-block kick Trump's ass playbook.

TRUMP needs to double down and go after these statist pricks, IMO.

I wouldn't trust that house where niggers and commies lived for nothing.

Soetero HAD the MSM at his back/had the NWO pricks calling the shots.

Trump doesn't. Moreover, another Soros tried to true tactic is the 24/7 constant bombardment of propaganda foisted on the stupids out there.

What needs to be done here is pressure needs to be brought to bear on every mother-fucking "Republican" congress office holder by the Trump supporters. They collectively need to fucking man up.

PLUS - Trump supporters MUST face off/square off with these cunt leftoids at town halls, and tit-for-tat email/call/fax/smoke signal these aforementioned Congress dwellers.

It may take a 2018 electoral douching. If the incumbents can't get it done, then THEY need to get Cankled.

THAT is one of the messages need to be stamped into their brains. PLUS - the companies that lobby/support them also need to be boycotted/outed.

This is war.

LetThemEatRand's picture

Keep holding on to hope if you want, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's a train.

greenskeeper carl's picture

LTER, The reason you get nothing out of congress is because they were never planning on winning. They don't like to be in charge, and didn't really think they'd have both houses of congress and the WH. They thought that by this time they'd be busy folding like a lawn chair to whatever killery wanted to do domestically while applauding whatever war she was starting internationally. They have to pretend to want to repeal it, because thats what gets their base all fired up, but they don't actually want to upset the apple cart or piss off their donors. They are far to happy with the status quo to actually upset it.

Trump is disappointing me with this too. obamacare hasn't been in effect THAT long. Fucking repeal it, have it go back to where it was before. Not that 'before O-care' was ideal, but it at least shows they are serious. Of course, if they WERE serious, they could always just start enforcing the anti trust laws that say you can;t sell the same thing to different people for different prices, but thats probably asking too much. Even if trump can't get congress to cooperate, he can atl east try to push them.

847328_3527's picture

SowetoCare is a tax on the middle class to support the no-pays and the insurance companies. I had a bad feeling about this law from the start esp since all fed employees were excluded. THAT tells you right there it's fishy.

It has lived up to its rep of being a disaster despite the main stream media praising the law and Soweeto to the sky. They need to immediately repeal the provision forcing Americans to buy unaffordable health insurance otherwise face some sort of tax penalty.

That is totally fucked imo.

@LethemeatRand.......I do feel that the Obamacare issue is way too big.  I think about it all the time?  How do you do it?  How can it be profitable?  It has to be profitable to insurance companies...  I have ZERO clue on how the Insurance thing can be handled..  I see why they are punting it down the road.  Do I like it....NO...  Do I blame them...no.  That is the one thing they need to roll out right.  If it is done right...Conservatives will be in office for the rest of our lives.  They do it wrong....OMG.

LetThemEatRand's picture

It is unbelievably simple.   Repeal the Affordable Care Act.  It could be done tomorrow.   All of this BS about the law being "massive" is just that -- BS.  The law did not exist before Obama took office. We had health insurance and healthcare before Obamacare.  Yeah it sucked, but it sucked less.  Repeal the Affordable Care Act.  All if favor?  Aye (majority).  All opposed.  Nay (minority).  Done.

At least we have an executive order to end crime, so we've got that going for us.

The Gun Is Good's picture

Yeah, Trump could at least strike down enforcement of the tax penalty immediately with an EO, effective retroactively for 2016. That would eliminate the most unjust feature of the unConstitutional law.... What's the fucking hold-up here?
