An Alleged Muslim Spy Ring - Is This Why Rex Tillerson Cleaned House?

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by Duan via Free Market Shooter blog,

Shortly after Trump took office, and before Rex Tillerson was even confirmed as Secretary of State, a slew of State Department officials were removed from their positions (or were forced to resign) as part of an effort to “clean house” at the State Department.  The whole affair was haphazardly covered by the media, especially by Jeff Bezos’s blog, which insinuated that the departures were “an ongoing mass exodus of senior Foreign Service officers who don’t want to stick around for the Trump era.”

Further analysis revealed that the officials were actually removed from their positions shortly after Tillerson visited the State Department office in Foggy Bottom prior to his confirmation:

“Any implication that that these four people quit is wrong,” one senior State Department official said. “These people are loyal to the secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to dis the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house.”

And, just a few weeks after the fact, it appears we know why Tillerson was so quick to purge existing staffers: he just didn’t trust them.  It also appears his mistrust was more than justified.

On January 29th, United States Special Forces executed an operation inside Yemen, against al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), with the aim of gathering intelligence and killing leaders of the group.  The raid was planned under the Obama administration, but the decision to execute the raid was “punted” to Trump, using the pretext of waiting for a “low loom” (moonless) night to execute the raid with maximum secrecy:

While the operation had been proposed, it was never green-lighted. Kahl said Obama felt going the mission would mark a “significant escalation” in Yemen and should be left to the next administration to decide.

“Obama … believed this represented a significant escalation of U.S. involvement in Yemen, and therefore … thought the next administration should take a careful look and run a careful process,” he told the WSJ.

In addition, defense officials expected the Trump administration to be more willing to approve dangerous missions, something that was almost certainly known by any remaining personnel who stayed on after Obama left office:

While seemingly indicative of a more aggressive stance by Trump, one official described the raid and new proposal as an outgrowth of earlier Obama-era operations that have pushed al-Qaida militants from their sanctuaries into areas and provided more opportunities for U.S. strikes.

“We expect an easier approval cycle [for operations] under this administration,” another defense official said.

Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens

Though the Trump administration attempted to push the raid as a success, at very best, the mission was anything but, resulting in the death of Navy SEAL William “Ryan” Owens, as well as injuries to three other servicemen. While the commandos did everything necessary to maintain the element of surprise, it appears as though AQAP adversaries on the ground had advance warning of the attack:

“Initial reports are always wrong, but it doesn’t appear to be a failure of planning or intelligence,” said the former special forces officer.

Almost immediately, the raiding force on the ground took intense fire, according to the briefing paper and a senior military official. Occupants of the targeted house and its compound, along with their guard force, moved to a separate cluster of houses nearby where families, including women and children, were staying. Armed women fired on the U.S. and Emirati forces.

“There were a lot of female combatants who were part of this,” said Navy Capt. Jeff Davis, the Pentagon’s chief spokesman, on Monday. “We saw during this operation, as it was taking place, that female fighters ran to pre-established positions — as though they had trained to be ready, and trained to be combatants — and engaged with us.”

While most know about the Yemen raid, most do not know about the dismissal of the three Aman brothers, Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan.  On February 2nd, they were abruptly removed from their positions of managing information technology for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.  Though they were initially suspected merely of stealing equipment, a connection with the previously-hacked computers of Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) revealed something far more sinister:

Three members of the intelligence panel and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs were among the dozens of members who employed the suspects on a shared basis. The two committees deal with many of the nation’s most sensitive issues and documents, including those related to the war on terrorism.

As Mad World News reported, the Aman brothers were hired by the Obama administration, and access to top secret information regarding military operationsThe committees they allegedly worked for had access to “the most sensitive and secretive government intelligence, including covert anti-terrorism activity… including the Yemen operation”:

The House Oversight Committee

The brothers were assigned access to three members of the intelligence panel and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs along with dozens of congressmen who employed the suspects on a shared basis.  This gave them direct access to our military secrets, like missions carried out by Navy SEAL Team Six.

They retained their jobs after Obama left, which is not unheard of since their positions were not seen as political appointments.  However, they were fired by Trump’s administration within hours after Navy SEAL William Ryan Owens was killed in Yemen during the top secret raid on Al-Qaeda operatives.

So, in case you’ve gotten lost, here’s a recap of the timeline of events:

  • Jan 20 – Trump takes office, and DoD officials are expecting him to be more willing to approve dangerous missions
  • Jan 26 – Rex Tillerson visits State Department headquarters prior to his confirmation, and either terminates or forces the resignation of many existing State Department personnel
  • Jan 29 – The botched Yemen raid is executed, resulting in the death of Navy SEAL Owens
  • Feb 1 – Rex Tillerson is confirmed by President Trump as Secretary of State
  • Feb 2 – The Awan brothers are terminated on suspicion that they accessed congressional computers without permission

As Mad World News previously stated,

“…it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.  The firing of the Awan brothers is linked to the Yemen raid where al-Qaeda knew we were coming, and it tragically ended with Navy SEAL Owens being killed in action.”

The mainstream media seemed far more interested in obfuscating the details regarding the Tillerson terminations than they were in covering what could be one of the most dangerous intelligence leaks in years, of which there has been but a peep out of any major news outlet.  Captain Joseph R. John (Navy-Ret.) has stated that he believes the Muslim Brotherhood “fifth column” has “infiltrated U.S. Government,” and if he is correct, the Awan brothers could very well be a part of this infiltration.

Yet, there as been but a peep of information about the Awan brothers from nearly all major news outlets.  Are they in jail?  What are they accused of?  Does the Trump administration suspect them of leaking details about military operations to terrorist organizations?  And most importantly, if so, did these three men directly or indirectly contribute to the death of Owens during the Yemen raid?

One thing is for certain – as Politico seemed to take delight in stating, “Trying to nail down who the leakers are is like trying to count the cockroaches under the couch.”  However, it seems most of the “leaks” are coming from Obama holdovers.  Which makes Tillerson’s “cleaning house” look like not just the correct move, it leaves you wondering if he did enough cleaning house.

Just don’t expect to hear that from the mainstream media anytime soon.

This is only one power in Washington, and it is all about Zionism.

I believe 9/11 was possibly the culmination of some sort of coup within the US gov. Not a coup perpetrated by an outside group on an inside group, but within the governemnt.

America is now all bout Israel, and all this Muslims crap is a distraction (you have to be stupid to think Muslims are a threat as we destroy one Middle East nation after another...And what does America get for all this treasure and human life???????????????? NOTHING!). I believe most terrorists attacks are false flag events, meant to further/justify the war on the Middle East.

This is a great article about Isreal and it's control over Washington, or at least it's foreign policy: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/46431.htm

Truly mystifying.....How can one little country command such a presence in the affairs of the most powerful country on earth?  It is said that they are our best allies and friends - but history shows that that is essentially a one-way street, and indeed at times America has been directly attacked by this country and was too fearful to retaliate - why?

And why do the American national elections seem to revolve around Israel?

Why do American politicians have to make speeches in front of AIPAC?

Why is it that a national politician can not expect to get elected without Jewish money behind him/her, and why can't they hold office if they say or do something against Jews or Israel?  If they say something against France or the French, there are few repercussions.  Or Britain or the British.  Or Saudi Arabia or the Saudis.  Or Iraq or the Iraqis.  Or Iran or the Iranians.  Or Russia or Russians.  But Israel or the Jews - they better not or their political careers might well will be over.  Why is this?

And why does this little country Israel command the stature for its prime minister to address joint sessions of Congress?

And why does America foreign policy emphasise Israel so heavily - why is the American government SO concerned about its relationship to that little country?

Indeed, why are there so many Zionists and Israeli dual citizens in American government when they only represent less than 2% of the overall population?

Why is Goldman Sachs Bank essentially permitted to run the US Treasury Department?

And why is the head of the Fed nearly always a Jew now?

Why are Zionists or dual citizen Israelis permitted to chair or be present on Congressional oversight committees, esp in foreign policy, banking, intelligence and military oversight committees?

Why do Americans seem to be so blind to all this?

Socratic Dog's picture

That's a lot of questions.  Imagine the outcry if you replaced "jew/zio" with "muzzie".  But the jews get a free pass.  Always.

Indeed, why are we so blind to it?  Could it be something to do with the fact that the MSM, where most still go to get their world view moulded, is almost entirely owned by the same group?

Hmmm, since they inherited that operation from Obama they should have cancelled it or at least postpone it. He did a lot to sabotage the transition.

During the Obama administration, Muslim Brotherhood and even Al Qaeda folks vistited the WH. For sure there are moles (of various colours).

nevertheless's picture

Clark says he then remembered a 1991 meeting he had with Paul Wolfowitz. In 2001 Wolfowitz was Deputy Secretary of Defense, and in 1991 he was Under Secretary of Defense of Policy, the number three position at the Pentagon.

Wolfowitz is a pro-Israel neoconservative who an associate has called “over the top when it comes to Israel.”

Clark describes going to Wolfowitz’s office in March of 1991. Clark said to Wolfowitz, “You must be pretty happy with the performance of the troops in Desert Storm.” Clark says Wolfowitz replied, “Not really, because the truth is we should have gotten rid of Saddam Hussein, and we didn’t.”

Wolfowitz declared the U.S. had an opportunity to clean up “Syria, Iran, Iraq, before the next super power came on to challenge us.”

Clark says he was shocked at Wolfowitz’s proposal that the military should initiate wars and change governments, and that Wolfowitz believed that the U.S. should invade countries whose governments it disliked. “My mind was spinning.”

Clark says Scooter Libby was at that meeting. Libby is another pro-Israel neoconservative. In 2001 He was Vice President Cheney’s chief of staff, and worked closely with the Office of Special Plans, which manufactured anti-Iraq talking points.

“This country was taken over by a group of people with a policy coup,” Clark said in his 2007 lecture. “Wolfowitz, Rumsfield, Cheney, and you could name a half dozen other collaborators from the Project for a New American Century. They wanted us to destabilize the Middle East, turn it upside down, make it under our control.”

(The Project for a New American Century was a think tank that operated from 1997-2006, and was replaced by the Foreign Policy Initiative.)

Clark continued: “Did they ever tell you this? Was there a national dialogue on this? Did Senators and Congressmen stand up and denounce this plan? Was there a full-fledged American debate on it? Absolutely not. And there still isn’t.”

Clark noted that Iran and Syria know about the plan. “All you have to do is read the Weekly Standard and listen to Bill Kristol, and he blabbermouths it all over the world – Richard Perle is the same way. They could hardly wait to finish Iraq so they could move into Syria.”

Clark says that Americans did not vote George Bush into office to do this. Bush, Clark pointed out, had campaigned on “a humble foreign policy, no ‘peace keeping,’ no ‘nation building.’”

Others have described this group, their responsibility for pushing the invasion of Iraq, and their pro-Israel motivation.

Neoconservatives, Israel, and Iraq

A 2003 article in Ha’aretz, one of Israel’s main newspapers, reported bluntly: “The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history.” (Ha’aretz often highlights the Jewish affiliation of important players due to its role as a top newspaper of the self-declared “Jewish State.”)

It gave what it termed “a partial list” of these neoconservatives: U.S. government officials Richard Perle, Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, and Eliot Abrams, and journalists William Kristol and Charles Krauthammer. The article described them as “mutual friends who cultivate one another.”

The article included an interview with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, who was quoted as saying:

“It’s the war the neoconservatives wanted. It’s the war the neoconservatives marketed. Those people had an idea to sell when September 11 came, and they sold it. Oh boy, did they sell it. So this is not a war that the masses demanded. This is a war of an elite.”

The article continued:

“Friedman laughs: ‘I could give you the names of 25 people (all of whom are at this moment within a five-block radius of this office) who, if you had exiled them to a desert island a year and a half ago, the Iraq war would not have happened.’”

Another Ha’aretz article described how some of these individuals, high American officials, gave Israeli leaders tips on how to manage American actions and influence US Congressmen, concluding: “Perle, Feith, and their fellow strategists are walking a fine line between their loyalty to American governments and Israeli interests.”

Ha’aretz reported that the goal was far more than just an invasion of Iraq: “at a deeper level it is a greater war, for the shaping of a new Middle East.” The article said that the war “was being fought to consolidate a new world order.”

“The Iraq war is really the beginning of a gigantic historical experiment…”

We’re now seeing the tragic and violent result of that regime-change experiment.

American author, peace activist, and former CIA analyst Kathleen Christison discussed the neoconservatives who promoted war against Iraq in a 2002 article. She wrote: “Although much has been written about the neo-cons who dot the Bush administration, their ties to Israel have generally been treated very gingerly.”

The Bush administration, she wrote, was “peppered with people who have long records of activism on behalf of Israel in the United States, of policy advocacy in Israel, and of promoting an agenda for Israel often at odds with existing U.S. policy.”

“These people,” she wrote, “who can fairly be called Israeli loyalists, are now at all levels of government, from desk officers at the Defense Department to the deputy secretary level at both State and Defense, as well as on the National Security Council staff and in the vice president’s office.”

Author Stephen Green wrote a meticulously researched 2004 expose describing how some of these individuals, including Perle and Wolfowitz, had been investigated through the years by U.S. intelligence agencies for security “lapses” benefiting Israel.

Yet, despite a pattern of highly questionable actions suggestive of treason, they continued to procure top security clearances for themselves and cronies. The neocon agenda also became influential in Britain.

THAT makes sense. That fits the evidence. And you didn't even say all Jews are evil spawn of Satan. I'm impressed. No wild ranting, just sound reporting.

Victor999's picture

The Freemasons (created and led by Jews) have a long history of charitable works and most of their membership are fine people, but their upper leadership are satanist scum amassing huge power from infiltrating government and industry positions and working towards Jewish goals of global dominance.  The Jews are much the same - most being very nice, bright people with families and honest goals in life, but their upper echelon leadership are satanist scum whose goal is to rule the world, collect all its wealth, and keep the Gentiles where they belong - servants of the Jew.

Getting fucking tired of always having to treat these people (Jews/Neocons) 'gingerly'.  They have ruined the US and most of the civilised world.  And they will continue to do so until they are either stopped or they win the world.  Me?  I'm in favour of stopping them!

Wow. So much anit-Israel sentiment here tonight. Makes me wonder if this is a honey pot to trap them. lol.

Grandad Grumps's picture

It would not be a honey pot, per se. However, I have long suspected that ZH is allowed to exist for the purpose of identifying people who might pose a future issue for those in power. It would be naive to assume there is not someone watching and at least partially managing ZH. This is not the same web site it was when it was started and who knows what its original purpose truly was. ZH used to be almost 100% market related and now it is mostly political. People just don't care about the markets like they used to, since they are all frauds.

Commenters are seemingly allowed to consistently make anti-zionist and maybe anti-Israeli comments, but too much use of the word "jew" or identification as someone as "jewish" gets one banned from ZH... which is really ironic, if you think about the entomology of each of the words and who they really refer to.

There is "truth". There are lies. And then there are truths and lies that masquerade as the other. It seems that a lot of what is said about the Israelis and zionists appears to be true. It is nearly impossible to envision how 9/11 could have been pulled off without it being run by the zionist faction of the Bush administration. One must ask then, why would everyone, in the know, cooperate with the murder of 3000 American people? Fear? Corruption? Ideology? Satanic bloodlust? Ignorance? I don't know.

FlowerofLife's picture

Grandad, I frequently like your analysis.

ZeroHedge plays a number of roles and, perhaps, serves several masters, in addition to making a living for its owners and contributors. I’ve noted the change in emphasis over the first few years also, but the world and readers’ interests have changed considerably over that time. Looking back, I’d say there was a planned progression, kind of like Brandan Smith's work.

Some of the writers have extraordinary investigative-journalist and analytical skills. I worked in a compliance-related Wall St. job for a number of years, and know “privileged” information when I see it. No one’s being told to trade on this information anymore; maybe that’s a good, self-protective thing.

I also know good analysis when I see it, which is very much in evidence here. Analysts like the ones here can earn high salaries. I doubt that the ads, most of which get Adblocked, are covering them.

I wouldn’t say ZH is “allowed” to exist, I’d say it's underwritten. It’s a venue for certain ideas and/or provides a heads up on what’s to come. I suspect whomever is paying their bills are the same people who pay Snowden’s.

Wow! Are you clowns suckers or what! It's on the internet, so it MUST be real!

The story is pure 100% bullshit, written by some bozo who has absolutely no clue how the Oversight Committees work, how JSOC or SAC (not that SAC, the other one) operations are carried out, who has access to material and intel, who is informed (or not) beforehand, etc. Ops of this nature do not go down the way this Fake News article claims, but since it seemed nefarious and could get you people on the boil, you get suckered in. I wonder why "Duan" of "Free Market Shooter Blog" didn't use Moe, Larry and Curly, or maybe Manny, Moe and Jack, the Pep Boys? That would have been more believable.

Trump was advised not to do the raid, because there was no current intel regarding expected resistance. Raids like this are not carried out unless timely HUMINT or SIGINT gives a clearer picture of target site at that moment. The intel on this target site was not recent. Over a dinner with Kushner and Bannon---without having read the final op sec reports and latest intel, and without heading back to the West Wing and the Situation Room to monitor the operation, Trump ordered the go-ahead. He was anxious to test out his new powers, which include ordering the killing of human beings. Trump wanted one in the "Win" column, and he wanted to be able to say to his staff, "I'm like a god now, with the power of life and death".

If you want to find a guilty party, the guy's name is Trump.

But all of you will get fooled time and time again...because you WANT to, and because you have the analytical ability of three year olds.
