What Do Credit Markets (And Insiders) Know About Goldman That Stock Investors Don't?

Tyler Durden's picture

Goldman Sachs stock price is up over 40% since the election of Donald Trump...

Surpassing its record highs from October 2007...

And as that share prices has soared, insiders have been dumping their holdings...

However, Goldman's credit risk has hardly budged during this melt-up period of insider-selling...

Goldman's earnings expectations have risen during this period, but the decoupling is still remarkable...

So we ask - what do Goldman credit traders (and insider sellers) know that stock investors don't?

The last time Goldman stock was here, credit risk was 65bps lower.

It's just a tool to jack up the Dow, otherwise it's all meaningless bullshit

What goes up, also comes down. How quickly they forget.

Not necessarily in our lifetime though - Have you seen the Dow jones chart dating back to the 70's?

Now that all those GS alumni in DC have direct control over the levers at 33 Liberty...which stock do you think they're going to pump?

The president should make a Potemkin steel plant (that he claims responsibility for due to his magical deal making abilities) and do a photoshoot there ASAP.  Optically Winning Bigly!

It's all BS.. Just another pump and dump.... wait for it, not everyone is in the boat yet....soon, very soon...

You should look up the Comptroller of the Currency's report on Derivatives, almost at the end.  GS is leveraged like nobody else's business!  Makes DB look tame in comparison (not amount, just leverage).

180 is dangerously close to 200.

If Trump purges some Goldman on board their strangle hold on Government is broken.

Beware Goldman 'cults.'

When you are a potential top credit whose credit is hedged with lesser credit backed CDS your risk equals lesser credits backing your credit.
