Trump, Ryan Warn Of "Bloodbath" If GOP Fails To Pass Healthcare Bill

Tyler Durden's picture

Speaker Paul Ryan on Sunday said he agrees with President Trump that 2018 will be a "bloodbath" for Republicans if Congress does not pass legislation repealing and replacing ObamaCare.

“I do believe that if we don't keep our word to the people who sent us here, yeah,” Ryan told CBS News’s “Face the Nation,” when asked if he agreed with Trump’s reported comments about the 2018 midterm elections.

According to a CNN report last week, Trump told Republican House members in a meeting that 2018 would be a “bloodbath” if they fail to pass healthcare legislation.

As The Hill reports, Ryan, who used a PowerPoint presentation to defend the House proposals last week, said during the CBS interview that members of Congress are “breaking your word” if they don’t keep campaign promises.

“Look. The most important thing for a person like myself who runs for office and tells the people we're asking to hire us, ‘This is what I'll do if I get elected.’ And then if you don't do that, you're breaking your word,” he said.

So it appears simple - GOP needs to pass the bill (whether they have seen it or not) to save the party from problems in next year's elections.

Not so fast!

As Axios reports, Tom Cotton warned House Republicans on Sunday that the House Republican Obamacare replacement bill can't pass the Senate as written - and that they could lose the House in next year's elections if they vote for it.

"I'm afraid that if they vote for this bill, they're going to put the House majority at risk next year," Cotton said on ABC's "This Week."

He warned that it would have "adverse consequences for millions of Americans" and wouldn't lower costs: "Do not walk the plank and vote for a bill that cannot pass the Senate and then have to face the consequences of that vote."

The bottom line then is that on the one hand, there'll be a bloodbath if they do NOT pass the bill according to Ryan's Trumpcare plan; but on the other hand, senators like Cotton warn GOP will lose the majority if they DO pass it.

Leave it to me to boil everything down to fraud yet again.

The whole entire dialog is fraud. Agencies such as FDA, EPA, CDC, operate on fraudulent mission statements. The AMA operates on a fraudulent mission statement. Congress operates on a fraudulent mission statement.

Does it seem reasonable that Joe Manchin is the only guy with a daughter sporting a fake degree is CEO of Mylan/Epipen fame? Congress is loaded with this.

The other side of the argument is turn it all over to the "market". This awesome free market we're pining for like it's something out of an old black and white capitalism movie is also a fraud.

We've got big monopoly companies competing against each other to gouge the ass off everybody the moast using the agencies above for enforcement.

Increasing costs x massive fraud x gov enforcement x fake market x reduced wages = bloodbath. And it should.

so all these RINO scum passed literally dozens of bills to repeal o-fuckyou-care over and over again for the better part of the last 7 years full-well knowing o-Traitor would never sign off on any of their bills, of course.

And now that they have been given the final piece needed (the presidency) and full control of the House and Senate specifically because the American people want o-fuckyou-care completely repealed (not replaced), Trump is standing there with the mandate from the people after being overwhelmingly elected for promising to repeal the fucking thing, and all of a sudden the RINO scum are having all kinds of "issues" with coming up with a plan???

See, the thing is those RINO fucks never wanted to repeal the bill.  They wanted anyone but Trump, remember?  They all wanted Hitlery more than they wanted Trump...just so they could get more and more years of the same old corrupt, treasonous, bullshit in D.C.

Any talk or votes of repealing it was all an act for probably 95% of those assholes.  They want it just as it is and they're just as bad as their treasonous countrerparts.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the RINO's are willing to sacrifice some (R) Senators and a bunch of RINO scumbag Congress critters in the 2018 and 2020 elections just so they can narrow the majority overall or outright lose it in the Senate just so they can take away their own full control from Trump until they can figure out a way to beat him in 2020 or severely hamper him with a loss of full control if he ends up winning again and is around until 2024.

The main thing is that we have to understand that these fucks never ever wanted to repeal o-fuckyou-care in the first place.  Ever.  Nearly every one of those assholes wanted it in the first place.  They're fighting and arguing over it initially was all an act put on for the sheepl to give the appearance of fighting the good fight, but just not having enough votes.  Keep the sheeple interested in trying to vote more RINO's into office, but the head RINO's along w/ all their scumbag co-conspirators on the Left never figured in a million years that Hitlery wouldn't win this year.  And if she didn't win it would at least be to another treasonous scumbag like Jeb, Rubio, etc. etc.

But NONE of them considered ever having to put up or shut up about seriously repealing the law if Trump actually ended up winning.

Now they're doing everything they can on BOTH fake sides of the aisle to hamper Trump every way they can possibly think of.  And they won't stop fucking him and the rest of us over until he's gone.  It's not repeal and replace.  It's delay, block, lie, obfuscate, and undermine at all costs.

That's the CONgress critter plan until Trump is gone.

crossroaddemon's picture

All true to an extent... but I'm gonna throw in a reality that you're maybe missing. I live in the rural midwest; I'm surrounded by the sort of downwardly mobile white people who voted fo Trump. Now, they THINK they want the ACA repealed. Truth is most of 'em have no idea what a straight repeal would mean. These people, fuck, better than half of them are on some kind of state medical assistance which means these are the people which are actually BETTER OFF under the ACA. You wanna watch tthem turn on Trump in a heartbeat? Pass a bill that leaves them with no health insurance at all.

Manthong's picture

Well, with $6,000.00 deductibles at least everyone they are continuing to exploit will bleed out.

Billy the Poet's picture

Please provide documentation showing that fifty percent of midwesterners are "on some kind of state medical assistance "

You wanna watch tthem turn on Trump in a heartbeat? Pass a bill that leaves them with no health insurance at all.

By choice I didn't have medical insurance at all until I was over thirty. Now young folks are forced to buy it even though they don't want it.

crossroaddemon's picture

I didn't necessarily say all midwesterners... but in my little neck of the woods where the whole damn economy was dependant on a small farm econsystem that will never exist again I'm going to suggest that 50% might actually be a conservative estimate, especially for the ones who have kids. Most of these poor fools voted Trump because they're dumb enough to think that it's possible to bring back the high-paying blue-collar jobs... there really isn't any other reason.

I'm guessing you didn't have kids till you were over 30. Neither did I... but out here people are still procreating young.

Billy the Poet's picture

Please present your survey results or explain your method for reading minds.

crossroaddemon's picture

Now you're just being ridiculous. Every one of Trump's campaign promises really come down to bringing jobs back. I live around people who mostly voted Trump, and I don't hear that much about the ACA. What I hear is trump's gonna kick the mexicans out so they stop taking our jobs... (which is funny because there aren't any around here anyway) or Trump's gonna install tariifs so the factory jobs come back (which is funny cus this was never a big manufacturing area) or something like that. Really, they don't talk about Obamacare that much. It's all jobs.

What they don't get is nobody can help them. Middle America has been hollowed out with no going back. The traditional rural white culture is dying and probably can't be saved. Around here it was all small farms, and in the little towns the merchants mostly catered to farmers. 35 years ago the town of 800 I reside in had three grocery stores. Now there is one and it's small and overpriced... but where there used to be a dozen or so small farmers you now have one guy with big ass machinery renting 2000 acres, or a milking parlor style dairy with 300 cows. How do you go back from that?

Billy the Poet's picture

Now you're just being ridiculous.

Maybe I should starting making assumptions on behalf of millions of individuals whom I've never met so that I can be taken seriously like you.

I voted for Trump. Tell me why I did it.

Pay attention to the office staff in your typical doctor’s office.  You’ve got one doctor a nurse and half a dozen full time office staff with the soul and express purpose of wading through the labyrinth of insurance claims.  Look at their salaries and then you will understand why the doctor charges fifty dollars for each five minute visit and why his staff books those visits one right on top of the other all day long.  The medical industry is a behemoth and most of it is not about health care.

The biggest problem almost all of these shit-for-brains representatives within congress have is the utter lack of situational awareness. We are facing an apocalyptic financial meltdown across the entire globe. The Federal government is tens of trillions in debt and continues to heap on more debt every single day. Our deficits are criminally out of control. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT THE ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS ARE HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS IN THE HOLE, and yet there is no sense of true urgency in confronting these mega problems.

I've said it before, MATH is an all powerful force, and if you don't control it, it will sure as shit will control you. If it takes control, it will force draconian and chaotic changes that will be much more painful to the populous. Most of the stupid fuckers in power refuse to acknowledge the power of math, and additionally, woefully overestimate the remaining time that is left to ACT.

chunga's picture

I personally don't get too excited about the "ism" debate because the terms are obsolete.

It's all about the fraud.

It would be a mistake to condemn freedom because you think it's an ism.

The best protection against fraud is to make your own choices freely and responsibly.

If our choices remain FUBAR'D, we're left with the charade of faux freedoms within the existing "fallacy of composition" that is our broken HC system. Repeal is the only viable step towarads an unfettered market place for health care services. Removal of all the regulations, mandates and taxes will enable creative solutions to emerge. Without REPEAL first, there is no chance of creating a fertile environment in the HC market where the force of common sense based Adaptation can thrive. The obstacles to an Affordable and Sustainable HC solution remain the same, the whores in congress stroking their only real constituency, the Corporate Fascist that are no less rogue as our NSA, CIA, FBI,

The Wizard's picture

If the people want to live in fantsyland, God will provide it for them. The question is, who is telling the truth.

We call fiat “money” debt instruments, Federal Reserve Notes, dollars and money. Doesn’t “money” need to be something of substance on the asset side of the ledger? Isn’t the term dollar defined in the Constitution as so many grains of silver against a 16:1 ratio to gold?  It helps confirm we are living in a delusion; “reality” is a delusion whereby the delusion has become reality. What is true is not necessarily truth. An illusion brought on by deception (illusion + deception) is a delusion. The government and its courts claim that “policy” is the law and policy should be observed as the law. This policy is better known as color of law. And who are the “colored”? It is the sheople who are in a deep slumber, God’s people are lost, in that they don’t know who they are in the history of the Scriptures. The reason God sends the delusion is because we want it, it is our consent to a corrupt world.

Below excerpt from:

THE WAY I SEE IT, it’s all a con game,” Cody Lundin was saying. “What I mean is that Wall Street has always been an illusion. Now it’s an illusion that’s crumbling. Wall Street is like someone who’s having heart trouble. It’s in constant need of resuscitation, but after a while, it just doesn’t work anymore. People think that Bernard Madoff was unique, that he was an illusion, but he’s just an extension of the same illusion, the same con game. This is one of the reasons I don’t like to have any debt. When you have debt, you become part of this illusion, and sometimes you get trapped by it.”

2 Thes 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Flyovers have given the "Grand old Party" an unprecedented advantage of majorities in our respective state capitals and CONgress. The fact that RINO Ryan is pulling a "pelosi" with HC reform should be recognized for what it is, the fallacy of our corrupt broken Two Party system. These whores like Ryan do not represent "we the people"!!! They represent only the Corporate Citizens the Supremes created out of mortar and balance sheets. We all need to pound this piece of shit legislation into the ground. Something to consider at the forthcoming Constitutional Convention...Term Limits, and perhaps a provision to recall a senator or representative that betrays their constituency. We need to encourage all those who supported "Repeal and Replace" to flood their representatives and senators offices with calls and emails!!!  President Trump needs the most compelling reminder of who he represents. If Trump deals with the devil, the people should shove all their MAGA hats down his throat.

No Time for Fishing's picture

You shouldn't. You should take an educated and informed look at what all sides are saying and determine what is correct yourself. On Obamacare Repeal you will find that Cotton is way closer to right than Paul Ryan.

The Republicans must repeal Obamacare and Ryan's bill does not even come close espescially as it leaves all the regulations that have raised the cost of insurance for all like pre-existing, "essential Benefits" keeping your adult children on your family plan. Ryans plan does zero to return individual and group insurance the free market.

Tom Cotton is this hard-eyed young man in a hurry that vaulted from nowhere to Congress and from Congress to Senate in a flash. Even before he was elected to Congress, the establishment newspaperes were raving about how awesome he was.
