"Jail Time!" Trump Slams Snoop Dogg Assassination Video, Mocks MSNBC's Tax Leak

Tyler Durden's picture

After a several day self-imposed silence, Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday morning, slamming both Snoop Dogg's recent controversial music clip and last night's MSNBC leak of his 2005 tax return.

Two days after rapper Snoop Dogg released a music video in which he shoots a "f--king clown" dressed as Trump with a toy gun, an angry Trump tweeted  "Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!"

As reported before, in the video Snoop Dogg says “this is the final call,” before pointing a gun at the head of a cigarette-puffing clown dressed as Trump and pulling the trigger, at which point a “bang” flag shoots out from the music star's gun.

As the Wrap reported yesterday, a representative for the U.S. Secret Service said that the agency, which is responsible for the safety of President Trump, is “aware of” the video “Lavender,” which features Snoop Dogg shooting a clown-faced Trump stand-in with a toy gun. It is unclear whether the agency is investigating or planning to investigate the video, as the Secret Service spokesman said that the agency had no further public comment on the matter at this time.

Others criticized Snoop's "artistic" vision previously: “We’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that, people should really be careful about that kind of thing,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) told TMZ after news of the music video broke. "He should think about that a little bit. If the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you could have a real problem. I think people can disagree on policy, but we’ve got to be very careful about that kind of thing.”

Trump’s attorney, Michael Cohen, also registered his displeasure with the “Lavender” video, telling TMZ, “It’s totally disgraceful, Snoop owes the president an apology. There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president.”

“I’m really shocked at him, because I thought he was better than that. I’m not really sure I understand the artistic value to having somebody dressed up as Trump and firing a weapon at him,” Cohen continued. “In all fairness, it’s not funn

In a second tweet, in response to last night's highly anticlimatic MSNBC prime time event, in which Rachel Maddow publicized Trump's leaked 2005 tax return, and which showed the president making $150 million on which he padi a 25% tax rate, Trump lashed out asking "Does anybody really believe that a reporter, who nobody ever heard of, "went to his mailbox" and found my tax returns? @NBCNews  FAKE NEWS!"

Ironically, Maddow's reveal may have backfired, because as discussed last night it showed that not only Trump made more money in a period in which many speculated he was in financial dire straits, but also paid a generous tax rate higher than that of Barack Obama, Mitt Romney and even Bernie Sanders. As such, because it case the president's tax filings in a favorable light, many immediately suggested that it was Trump himself who delivered the tax return to MSNCB contributor David Cay Johnston.

Poop dog should get castrated or put down by the Secret Service.

And everyone who is involved in that video should get a visit from the Secret Service.

As usual, the Deplorables missed the important information again.  Trump thinks that was about him, but failed to notice that only the white people and women had clown faces painted on them in that video, all the niggers had their normal unpainted faces.  That was a video showing how he hates white people, and how all the niggers are going to kill all the white people.

As usual, Trump thinks everything is about him, and no one else exists in the world.  And like the idiot that he is, he acknowledges "Snoop Dog" and creates a world wide visible street fight with that dumb nigger.  So now we have our president fighting a high school dropout nigger in front of the entire world.

PATHETIC!  You deplorable assholes have really shamed the United States.

There is a different, legal standard between threatening a normal citizen and the President of the United States.  A veiled threat is still a threat.  I honestly don't understand the fascination with pop culture using blacks as entertainers when they seemingly don't seem to be capable (as a group) for much else.  It just seems to be an effort to bring everybody else down to their level.  Sports, music....and that's it.  Congratulations assholes, you've never strayed from your minstral show parameters.

Larry deserves sufficient detention to counteract his message, and adequate legal expenses to all his all his criminal associates and sponsor accomplices to soak up all this free advertising and make examples of them. This and a legion of PIs to dig up and air all their crimes and make the fuzz do their jobs. If this doesn't happen Operation Mayhem is next.

How many young Black men were killed because of rap music videos like this promoting crime and degradation of women. Obama had the chance of the century to change the culture in the Black communities. He gave one speech in 8 years about fathers not being in the home. But then again his own father was more or less absent and had to leave the country after losing his job. The Black community in the USA is 13% of the population and 40-50% of the violent crime good job Snoop you just reinforced the negative image of a whole community.

I truly hope they bring down Trump.

They are not thinking this through. I voted Trump as a last ditch effort to not take up arms. If they sack him, all fucking bets are off. It will be go time, and there will be some reorganization going on. Maybe even some new nations forming, and I'm ok with that outcome.

Its go time now. Light the first match. You'll be famous.

Trump was the last ditch attempt to avoid all that.  You really want to live in a depleted uranium, smoking nuclear fuel rod (fukushima style) radioactive America?  Think Germany January 1946 before you start living your fantasies.

With the NDAA it is possible. Most labels, producers and broadcasters or musicians have not considered the NDAA's ramifications. The innocents standing by are not immune, if they payed attention would have noticed on Jan 1st, 2012 in the NDAA all became fair game.

I have watched that entire video and come to the reasoned conclusion that it is somewhat less than wholesome.

Chill out people say?

I'll chill out when a performer makes a video in which he shoots a brown clown made out to look like Obama and everybody is cool with that.

The thing is, I don't know of a single performer who has any unhinged desire to make a video like SD did toward O. It's seems to be telling that when a leader is elected that you dislike, that the Left can't accept it. We lived with 8 years of O, because he was elected. We didn't like it, but we didn't make videos of our unhinged assasination fantasies.

Something's different now, and I think most can agree that the country we knew is over. We no longer move on and wait for our turn. It's a cold civil war, but we're swimming in a sea of gasoline and there's a drunk over there lighting matches.

I always feared what might happen if O had been assasinated by a lunatic. I get what he meant to millions of Americans even if I despised his presidency, and found him to be an ugly, racist, hypocrite with an obvious hatred for the traditional nation.

But beware - as they say on this date - of what Trump means to millions of Americans. It's not his hair we like, nor his money, or his hot wife, or his New York boorishness. Much of that we can do without. But he's a symbol to us, just like O was a symbol to others. A transitional figure that's giving us hope that our nation will survive after this all settles down, 10 or 20 years down the road. Hope.

The unhinged Left needs to put its collective emotions in check. If some lunatic takes Trump out, there will be no going back.

DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

OR IS OUR AG TOO BUSY CHASING POT CASES AND PHANTOM RUSSIANS?

the French bitch's picture

Really, why isn't Snoop arrested for what he did?  Surely there has to be a law that prohibits making films of sitting presidents being assassinated!

the French bitch's picture

Truly, I think this is going too far and he should be arrested.

Snoop Dog is a valuable asset for the United States war on terror. See, if you catch. Terrorist and he refuse to tell who is working with him or where they plan to strike next, you don't have to waterboard him. Just lock him in a small room and pipe in Loud Snoop Dog rap music. He will talk! He will beg for mercy and tell all!!

God Almighty, have mercy on anybody that voluntarily listens to that garbage.

Yay Snoop!!

I know what will rally critically thinking moderates to our cause and increase the legitimacy of the issues that are addressed here on ZH!

Let's throw around racial slurs and primitive, narrow-minded thinking like it's the 1950's again! That'll show all those snowflakes that we're the good guys.

You know what will really cook your noodles later?

Snoop Dee-O-Double-Gee isn't interested in getting Trump assassinated or starting some race war/Revolution....He only did this to stir up controversy. Controversy sells records and downloads.

Here's the kicker: It's working. ;-)

EDIT:....Not only that, but he is USING YOUR OUTRAGE to propel the hype around his new record/video. Just by talking about it, you guys are unwittingly becoming a virtual PR campaign that puts more dollars in his pockets and reefer in his bong.

Cheers.

the French bitch's picture

Yes, but by the same token that incite-to-violence video can be used to gather in one bunch the likes of Meryl Streep, George Clooney, et al and cast an overarching light on coup promoters.  I assure you they will drop Snoop quicker than you can say, bad publicity.

Once you portray the president being assassinated on MSM you have crossed the line and it needs to be denounced and stopped.

BetterRalph's picture

I hope they DO NOT use the NDAA (or any other laws) in a bad way. I am saying they CAN use them. Ask Rick Santelli. I do not know Snoop's intent, ask him to clarify. I pray the NDAA don't get used and misguided zombies come to their senses soon. One thing Trump did when becoming potus was to turn sharply on a dime. I am going to stay quiet since there's nothing I can do, but my hopes would be that Trump continues with the dime turning saves from disaster vs that old stinky fish pond connected to the old dangerous swamp.

the French bitch's picture

You don't need to use the NDAA.  If I make a film which portrays my assissination of my next door  neighbor, don't you think the police would come knocking at my door in short order?

Donald Trump is president, but he is also a private citizen.

BetterRalph's picture

good point, I am looking at it from a slightly different angle is all. I see things as thresholds. At some point a religion isn't freedom of religion it's a death cult, at some point freedom of speech isn't free speech, it's a call to arms.

This ridiculous witless nignog is trying to accomplish what Charlie Manson failed to do. What a great country this could have been if we hadn't had to babysit the white man's burden.
