"Emergency" Anti-War Protests Hit Across America - "Hands Off Syria"

Tyler Durden's picture

No matter the years of intervention by the Obama administration, and calls for airstrikes by Hillary Clinton, America's leftist 'community organizers' are out en masse nationwide today protesting President Trump's actions in Syria - presumably they find Assad's decision to drop chemical weapons on his people doubtful too...?

Hundreds of protesters gathered in cities across the US to speak out against President Donald Trump’s missile strikes on a Syrian airbase. Despite the demonstrations being mostly peaceful, RT reports there were arrests.

“Emergency” protests were held Friday in at least a dozen US cities. They were largely organized on social media by the Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition, which called the US assertion that the Syrian government carried out attacks on its own people “unsubstantiated” and demanded an independent investigation.

New York City

In downtown Manhattan, protesters gathered at Trump Tower and Union Square. Footage shared on Twitter shows one protester being arrested, following police warnings against blocking traffic and sidewalks. There were multiple unconfirmed reports of multiple arrests.

Los Angeles

Six people were arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, after protesters against the Syria strike clashed with counter-demonstrators, according to WFOX. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reportedly confirmed three arrested for inciting a riot, while three others were handcuffed for battery on a law enforcement officer.

The difference? Russia is stationed in Syria.

BIG difference. Not that what Obie did was okay. It was NOT.

With Russia in Syria, it's Mutually Assured Destruction.

Obama started the shit show in Syria.

He destroyed Libya.

These people don't give a shit about people in the middle east. Not one bit.

I don't agree with Trump on this but these people have zero credibility.

Fuck Trump and fuck these commie idiots.

NidStyles's picture

Bush started this shit in Syria, not Obama. Obama dropped the ball by funding the "moderates" and supporting the terrorists.

We never should have invaded Iraq, but Israel lobbies everyone with free money they print out of thin air.

Do it for the children MIC.

/sarc in case it's not obvious.

People are just tired of endless wars. Trump's attack is that last straw for these protesters; some don't want more refugees entering when Trump decides tomorrow to bomb Syrian homes.

monk27's picture

With this last action Trump managed the performance to piss off both sides: not only the usual suspects from the left but also his own base, the people who actually got him elected. A high price to pay to make Ivanka & Jared happy...

Creepy_Azz_Crackaah's picture

I like it that they are up front with their GIMMIE FREE SHIT instead of spending military money in Syria demand.  They are still BIG Central Planning fans.

New World Chaos's picture

This whole thing is centrally panned.  Identical signs, especially yellow signs, are a Soros trademark.  Trump is stupid if he thinks he can give the puppetmasters what they want and get them to like him.  And Trump isn't stupid.  I smell a rat.

Surprised no "Islam is a religion of peace" and "Welcome refugees" and "Hillary never would have done this".  Is there such a thing as too much cognitive dissonance?

a Smudge by any other name's picture

Yup. This response was planned, canned, sitting on a shelf. They really have done a good job networking on the ground. From top to base all they need is 48 hours to mobilize. Insta-grassroots.

The Brown Barkie killed more then a million moslims over there. Where's the outrage.

Drag Mr Khan back on stage....if Hitlery is done with him.

And cut the entitlements and the child tax credit NOW!

ReZn8r's picture

this is the very same pricks that bitched and moaned when President Trump did NOT bomb Syria right after the chemical attack(which was false to begin with).

Nothing will satisfy these commie bastards. All they want to do is bitch about anything and everything as long as it is DJT.

I am beginning to hate these bastards.

YES - The core of this event is that he has lost both sides - Syria is a post script

The vast majority of Americans have neither heard or heard of, Eisenhower's Farewell Address (when he warned the country about the MIC.)

Pathetic, but true...

Silly snowflakes protesting. Trump made the right move here

The orange-faced POS behaves the same way the war-criminals Bushes, Clinton, and Obama do. However, after all, mentally unstable Trump is a real threat to America and the humanity at large.

In the nuclear weapons age, a mentally-deranged US President is totally unacceptable to American people and must be impeached ASAP.

Normalcy Bias's picture

Obama and Hillary Clinton are somehow safer flavors of psychopath?

After Ike allowed the Dulles Bros to wreak havoc abroad for American corporate and energy interests.

After Operation Paperclip and the establishment of a corporate-state partnership.

Ike was not your friendly grandpa who served his country in war time then returned to a peaceful life.

Check out details of his military history. Someone wanted him in the military. He almost bailed on an Army career after West Point. Someone interceded and got the Army to approve him. Old football knee injury was a medical issue. Stateside during WW1. Served abroad only in the Philippines during 1935 as MacArthur's aide.

Minor postings here and there, even served as commander of a buffalo soldier unit, but disliked it and wanted to be elsewhere. (Hmm, disliked being integrated into a black unit, but enforced desegregation in Little Rock and signed the 1957 Civil Rights Act. Good for thee, but not for me.) Again, someone intercedes for Ike and he is transferred to yet another politically connected posting.

Sort of a spooky career.

Then there's that little propaganda filmed Ike had made by a Hollywood Jew producer about "death camps" that became the Holocaust and the cause célèbre for creation of an Ashkenazi Zionist state in Palestine.

Eisenhower was MIC deep state.

As all US Presidents have been, since the Lincoln presidency was bought and paid for by corporate interests. You know the POTUS that suspended habeas corpus, instituted a military draft, divided the nation in a bloody war, destroyed half of the nation, to enforce Federal will on the States.

Eisenhower is just another tool who warns of the danger of the system he served willingly as he retires.

Normalcy Bias's picture

Perhaps what little 'conscience' he had finally got to him.

It would've been far easier for him to keep his mouth shut rather than risking his and his family's security, no?

TheReplacement's picture

By the time he reached his moral high ground it was too late as the media was captive.  The message was not received.

Oh regional Indian's picture

Your normalcy bias is showing....

I liked the way the homo's tried to ride the coattails of the protesters, but nobody in the crowd gave notice.

I guess they hadn't been getting enough attention since The Faggot In Chief left for pedophile island.

beemasters's picture

If the protests aren't shown on the MSM, Trump wouldn't know they are happening.
Those people in DC are out of touch.

Our Problem is not with “Liberals”

"And to further clarify, we have helpfully pointed out that many of the most virulent self-hating Whites are actually not White at all. Not only will you find them in the byline of the most odious journalism, but also they populate the comment boards of the internet and Twitter with their invective. When you find irascible anti-White prose, you often find a name linked to the Old Testament. We denote these unpleasant fellows with parentheses, which calls to mind an amusing echo sound effect innovated on the Daily Shoah podcast. This is not meant to convey any ill-will whatsoever; we are merely helping the reader to “consider the source,” if you will.
And yet our mainstream Republican brethren persist in viewing society in the lame, worn-out liberal/conservative paradigm. It’s time to move on."

Check the timeline.

Before Syria Obama fucked up Egypt but their military stepped in and kicked the Muslim Brotherhood out.

Wrong. Bush and his neocon buddies started the shit show in Syria and Obummer just continued it, just like Trump is doing.

There's a ton of causes for the unrest in the ME, but we certainly shouldn't forget the role of the US Fed in exporting food inflation across the region.  When a man can't feed his family, the odds are pretty good he'll take to the streets.

TheReplacement's picture

Wrong, it all started with the Balfour Declaration.  The Lusitania sailed with munitions on board despite multiple warnings to the passengers and the government from the German Embassy.  Some Prezzie approved shipping munitions on that passenger ship.  Some Prezzie ignored the German's warnings that they knew the Lusitania had become a ship of war.

Who was Colonel House?

Normalcy Bias's picture

It's almost as though they're paying these known hardcore Communist groups to protest in order to poison the image of those who oppose Trump's retarded missile attack (as well as any further escalation).

beemasters's picture

"I don't agree with Trump on this but these people have zero credibility."

And condemning these protesters gives you credibility??? Are you doing your part?

GUS100CORRINA's picture

BarkingCat ... I agree with you perspective on the protestors.

I would rather PRAY for the President and the nation because the PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL/CONSERVATIVE divide has never been so wide.

You left out Ukraine, Honduras, Egypt, etc......

"These people don't give a shit about people in the middle east. Not one bit.

I kinda agree with you here.  But there are people who are protesting this warmongering for ethical reasons:

Wish I could make it.

As long as they are helping us Nationalists carry water, I don't care.

There are far more of them in these cities than of us.

This is a zionist war...remember, zionism exists ONLY by Murder and THEFT

What the zionists want:

#1 Millions of dead muslims

#2 destruction of anyone who they can't easily defeat, primarily iran

#3 control all of the region's water and energy resources followed by control of all lands

BullyBearish's picture

What the zionists are willing to spend to get what they want:

#1 Millions of Christians

#2 trillions of dollars

#3 the integrity and reputation of the best country in the world

Oh regional Indian's picture

I'm sorry, agree with both your posts except that best country in the world shite. If you carry on with the american exceptionalism story, nothing can/will change. America/Americans are no better/worse than the rest of the world. Never have been, never will be. Just like us.

In fact, last 100 years, when america (the establishment that is) trained their guns outwards (1917), many would say worst country in the world. Satan's kingdom. Jewish puppet state. Mass murderer extraordinaire....

keeping it real...

Hypocrites they may be, but we have common ground with them. we should use them as others

are using them. The enemy of my enemy is my friend , and Trump is our enemy now.

GatorMcClusky's picture

They are wind-up toy protesters who do what they're told (or paid) to do. Trump could have french kissed Assad and they'd still protest.

Canary Paint's picture

I don't know what their activities were during Obama's time, so I can't speak to that. I can say that I was watching a couple of different live feeds during Trump's inauguration, and amongst the protest crowd gathered around their own stage, I saw 5 speakers (I was ironing my clothes, nothing like live coverage during a contentious time to make that this activity less boring) and 4 of them ripped on Obama and Clinton specifically mentioning foreign policy as their beef. Of course, I didn't watch the rest of the speakers nor the ones before, so it may not have been representative. By the way, they were all old.

I suspect these peace protesters are more along the lines of the real thing with some bored trouble makers or COINTELPRO types hitching a ride. Why? Because the one trick pony type liberals, in other words all those who see identity politics as being the central issue in all issues, all those who don't see the irony in sipping lattes while puking out comments underneath internet news articles about saving children in Syria, don't really care about this strike on Syria. For them, since Assad has been painted in the not gay enough, not inclusive enough, not enlightened-Western enough category, that means it is okay to "not give him a pass" via dropping bombs on him.

I am pretty sure this type of liberal is NOT going to enlist anytime soon in order to put their life where their mouths are

GUS100CORRINA's picture

Skateboarder ...

I agree with you completely.

What in the HELL is wrong with these poeple? Where were they for the last 16+ years when the Middle East was being laid waste by the west. PROGRESSIVE LIBERALS need to get a life like protest against the killing of the unborn which numbers in the 10's of millions.

These same hypocrites (female and male) would have no problem KILLING an innocent child in the womb, but yet they are out there in public and have no IDEA what they are protesting against!!
