It's Official - Trump Sets New Record For Cabinet 'No' Votes

Tyler Durden's picture

During his first 100 days in office, President Trump broke numerous records. As Statista's Niall McCarthy notes, in addition to having the lowest approval ratings of any U.S. president this early into his first term, Trump's Cabinet has also received the most 'no' votes in history.

You will find more statistics at Statista

According to the Washington Post, Trump has taken considerably longer than any of his predecessors to fill his cabinet, due to significantly higher opposition in the Senate.

He did finally complete that task with the Senate approving Alexander Acosta's appointment as labor secretary late last week. Votes on Trump's major department heads have led to a combined 437 "no" votes, more than Obama's cabinet had after two full terms (406). George W. Bush's cabinet only collected 157 'no' votes during his time in the White House while Bill Clinton only had 18. The Washington Post said that eight of Tump's Cabinet members have actually gotten more nays than any other previous nominees for their positions.

You could take the same chart and demonstrate how to divide a country in order to enslave it.

On the other hand, when Trump's Cabinet picks unloaded all their investments, tax free, they saved more in taxes than any other Cabinet since George Bush was President.

Well said. This level of angst seems by design to me as well.

Angst nutured for over 7 decades.

Grandad Grumps's picture

Don't the ethically challenged retards in Congress realize that Trump is one of them now?

RightEdge's picture

Except for Obama, the no votes are HEAVILY skewed against Republican cabinet nominees. That says more about the Dem party and their need for self righteous grandstanding than anything else.

LetThemEatRand's picture

If you think one of the parties is the problem and not the other, you are the problem.

RightEdge's picture

They both a problem, but one is more problematic than the other.

LetThemEatRand's picture

That would be exactly what 90+ percent of the country thinks, which is why this problem persists.

Sooo... the Graft & Corruption... through Funding of Politicians in DC... through Lobbyist... through Campaign Contributions... that is slanted to one side...?

- So, you see Graft as only applying to Left wing Banks in TBTF?
- So, you see Graft as only existing below the top class or top caste people... and if so... only to one particular political party in the main?

Hm... How much did G.W. B benefit from the radicals? And how much did Hillary benefit from the radicals? Kinda a wash. Oh, I get it you don't know the Carlyle Group. Or KBR. Or Halliburton. Or Main Engineering. Well... you can't know about the School of the Americas. Nor the Chicago Boys. Nor Leo Strauss of the Chicago University, School of Economics, Ford Foundation.

ah... I'm all mixed up

Yes.  The left is vastly more corrupt than the right. And they corrupt more than the right.
By many light years.  Why?  Because the left own the judges and the media which helps hide and excellerate their corruption.  While the right is held to standards that cause its members to drop out of the game at mere accusations.

Most public veiws of the right, from childhood to adulthood, are crafted upon information manipulated and then delivered by the left.  The fact the right wins any seats in government at all, with the odds it has against them, is a testimony to how corrupt people realize the democratic party is by the time they become adults.

Trump must be doing something right if the elites don't like his picks.

It is called Politics.

You don't get to see real news or real truth... what you see always in Posturing:

- Cable
- TV Programing
- Radion Programing
- US Congressional Postures
- Twisted Economics, JOBs, GDP, Inflation, Cost of Living, Wealth, Middle Class Wealth, ...
- While they ignore the wealth extraction... Middle Class Wage Losses/Compensation Losses, Flow of Money to the 1% in the USA... Destruction of Compensation and Investments... Bailouts of Pensions

That's why I've been saying for years...

the focus of the People is misguided; it must be on a thoroughly corrupt and defunct Congress.

ETA:  but I see the commentariat has gone mainstream and devolved into playing vacuous (and enabling) politics.
What a shame.

but that is just me. Teethvillage

Well, it's not exactly secret. The entire construct is illegal in black letter law. So what's to fucking find? It's already in the NY Times archives for fuck's sake!

Gee... with the mainstream media lying about him non-stop since the campaign was underway, what do you expect polls taken by leftist entities would say?

I remember a great poll they did...

"There is an 85% chance that, this time tomorrow, Hillary Clinton will be President!" Hey Libs: Your polls are lying to you AGAIN.

The Anti-White, recognizing far too late that calling White People "Racist" isn't effective any longer, attempts to use sarcasim and ironic memetics like the Alt-Right deploys against Anti-Whites...

Though, it really comes off as bitter, forced and clumsy.

There is a name for this chart, it is the "Assclowns in the Senate Index"

frontierland's picture

You could say the trend is towards polarization.

As the Democratic Party, more and more, becomes the party of and representing Anti-White Non-White's, this trend will only increase.

I say, keep exposing the irreconcilable differences... Racial/Ethnic, Cultural/Social and Political.

There's no going back, the sooner we break, the sooner we can get on with it.

It will be Pro-White Land (White & Normal, formerly called America) and Anti-White Land (the MultiKult)

With Roosevelt we had an "emperor for life" - fucking rich commie prick had to add some justices to stuff the SCOTUS with "his own kind" so he could get his "reforms" (I think he called it the "New Deal or something). Fcuk me - I have outlived my patience...
