Is There A Coup Attempt Underway In America?

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by Mike Krieger via Liberty Blitzkrieg blog,

Personally, I’m horrified by the fact that Goldman Sachs goons are in total control of the Trump administration’s economic policy. I’m also horrified that our new President’s first overseas trip will be to the terrorist state of Saudi Arabia, a autocratic, brutal monarchy with undeniable ties to 9/11. I’m likewise disgusted by Attorney General Jefferson Sessions’ oppressive and uncivilized relaunch of the misguided and disastrous “war on drugs.” Finally, I’m very troubled by the fact Mike Flynn attempted to disrupt a military operation using Syrian Kurds to rout ISIS in Raqqa because Turkey didn’t like it, given he was working as a paid agent of Turkey months earlier and never disclosed it.

There are a plethora of things to be deeply concerned about when it comes to Trump, yet the coup attempt against him being launched by elements of the deep state, corporate media and Hillary dead-ender Democrats is more concerning still. It’s obvious what’s happening right now is not a sincere attempt to hold a President accountable, or fight him on policy or personnel choices. Rather, this all seems to be a very deliberate and premeditated attempt to remove him from office.

What’s so troubling about what I just wrote is not so much that I think it, but that it’s becoming accepted truth by a growing number of mainstream Americans. For example, can you believe CNBC actually published a post with the following title?

Here are a few excerpts from the piece:

There is, indeed, a bombshell of a story coming out of the news that President Donald Trump revealed sensitive information during his White House meeting with Russian officials last week. But it’s not that President Trump committed any crime. The really alarming news is that the duly-elected President of the United States appears to be the target of a political coup.

First, let’s be clear: President Trump has been sloppy, arrogant, and just plain misguided plenty of times during his short tenure in office — including the way he handled the firing of FBI Director James Comey and the hiring and firing of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn. And if he did unnecessarily compromise the source of the sensitive information he shared with the Russians, shame on him.

But a president cannot be removed from office for arrogance and sloppiness…

Here’s the kicker: None of this is actually working where it counts. Again, we have not one piece of evidence of any impeachable act. And it’s not even truly working in the polls. President Trump’s approval ratings may be lower than any modern president this early in his tenure, but they’re still higher than they were throughout the election. If anything, these constant attacks coming from this obviously angry and potentially illegal place are only strengthening the resolve of Trump’s base of supporters. They elected a guy they believed was truly the enemy of the established political class. And right on cue, the established political class is stopping at nothing to prove them right.

For all the things President Trump has said that have dragged down the level of our American political discourse, this sustained takedown effort is worse. And it’s not clear how this is going to end. Unlike President Trump, the leakers remain anonymous and thus unaccountable. They can presumably go on forever.

And President Trump doesn’t seem like he’s going to stop fighting back or irritating and threatening his political opponents.

But don’t fool yourself into thinking this is OK or even tolerable. The bottom line is that we have some very powerful people in Washington who really don’t like how democracy played out this time around and what they do to attack it next isn’t going to be any better than what they’re doing now.

Luckily the American people remain wisely circumspect about all of this. President Trump’s polls aside, the voters are still giving him a decent shot to govern. And unaccountable people in Washington shouldn’t be trying to make that decision for us.

Once again, I want to remind you the above was published at CNBC. Sure it’s a vapid Wall Street oligarch-worshipping rag, but it’s still pretty mainstream.

Moreover, it’s not just CNBC writers and obscure bloggers such as myself who are coming to these sorts of conclusions.

For example, listen closely to what Dennis Kucinich had to say on the topic in a recent interview.

I agree with Dennis completely, and another troubling aspect of all this is that the hysteria incessantly being driven by the corporate press in its attempt to destroy Trump is distracting attention away from genuine scandals. For example, yesterday’s McClatchy story on Mike Flynn’s undisclosed work as a agent of Turkey, and how that may have influenced his foreign policy recommendations appears to be a very real and extremely concerning scandal. Yet it gets buried in the hyperbole and hysteria, and millions of people end up tuning everything out.

The road we’re headed down is unhealthy, counterproductive and extremely dangerous. As is typically the case, you can thank the corporate press.

Considering the Deep State lost a little power when Trump was elected - however not much as Trump has been toeing the line when it comes to the banking needs of Goldman Sachs and the war machine - it isn't so much a coup but more of a reinstatement of power.  Obviously Trump is not who we wanted him to be, but he is also only comprimsed and not the puppet Clinton is.  He is willing to acquiescence his policies yet he does not cave.  So it is that the State wants to retain full control, rather than them having a coup, for they have never lost power, they just gave a little up.

trump imo is the continuation of the ron paul movement.  anti repug/dim sentiment showed explosive growth over last decade...all the way to the white house.  so what if trump is a chump.  need to focus on continuing the overthrow....to whatever it takes

Soul Glow's picture

He can't be compared to Ron Paul.  No way.  Has Trump ever said he wants to end the Fed?  Nope.  Has he said the standard of money should be gold?  Nope.  Has he said we need to stop meddling in wars?  Nope.

In fact he has hired Goldman bankers to run his Treasury, he has said he likes Yellen, he says "strong dollar" one week and "weak dollar" the next never saying the dollar is a currupt economic instrument, and he is about to sell $300 billion of weapons to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who are possibly the greatest terrorists in the world.

Trump is no Dr Paul.

Try 1. USSA 2. Israel 3. No one else really matters.

Exactly....and what most cannot admit is that this last election was manipulative theater.  Do they really think that the so called "Deep State" did not see the growing discontent?  So why would they not use that discontent to their advantage?

If HRC would have been elected, their manipulation of the election would have been so obvious that any moron would conclude that the election was a fraud.  The people would have never stood for it.......riots and perhaps civil war?

This way, the divisive theater can continue and cognitive dissonance of the voters will allow them to continue in the direction they want to go (even further that if HRC had won)....as the people will refuse to admit they have been played for fools in hope that a great leader will save them.

It's time to fire some folks.

Trump hires are almost all being let go, maybe 90% are going to be out on thier ass. It's a purge and a coup.

null's picture

Perhaps.
Although, statistically speaking almost none of what is reported is actually true.

He builds teams and executes at opportune times. He has no need to muddle-through anything with an imperfect staff. He does not need to return any usual favors that a politician would, sigh, need to.

The D.C. Establishment wants noting to do with the Middle Class who elected Trump.

They want to destroy the outsider, and maintain the Elites and the Welfare Class; it has enriched them since the 60's at least - while decimating the Middle Class.

Not to mention Jekyll Island and the establishment of the FED, the ever increasing Military Industrial Complex that Eisenhower warned us about, the unhinging from the Gold Standard in '72, and the "financialization" (read:  debt doomsday machine) of the "markets".

have to root out the parasites.  and voting booths/court houses are occupied territory.  solution cannot include them

So what was your first clue, accusing a genuine patriot (that would be Mike Flynn if you've EVER READ his words or noticed his actions) of conspiring with Russians to "overthrow democracy" or the constant braying, non-factual based innuendo of the Alinskyite press?

Trump removal would be cause for war.

I think Trump had no idea just how big of a monster he was coming up against.  Or just how entrenched their power is.  Like Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.  The fuckers are ruthless and he ought to be dumping pedogate info everywhere he can.  Not quietly cleaning up the mess like it appears he is trying to do.

I think you underestimate him. This kinda slipped under the radar, even though it was announced in a room full of media fucktards on March 13 2017 -

EXECUTIVE ORDER

- - - - - - -

COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR REORGANIZING THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH

Section 1.  Purpose.  This order is intended to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the executive branch by directing the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (Director) to propose a plan to reorganize governmental functions and eliminate unnecessary agencies (as defined in section 551(1) of title 5, United States Code), components of agencies, and agency programs.

N.B. All the Intelligence agencies are in the Executive Branch. This EO allows him to completely dissolve and restructure any or all of them.

Mike Flynn, who pocketed money from Turkey to prevent our Kurdish allies from fighting ISIS.

Mighty fine patriot that one.

nmewn's picture

By intent or neglect, you have omitted something important, he blocked a US military operation in Raqqa that would have benefited the Kurds and by inference suggest he is on the side of ISIS.

As a student of military history and a general he is/was paid by many people (including Russians) who wished to hear his thoughts & opinions...

PRIEST: Then relations got put on hold because of Ukraine?

FLYNN: Not really. People say because of [Russia’s invasion of] Ukraine [but] at the same time we’re dealing with Russia on Iranian nuclear weapons. So when people go, “Ukraine and Russia is bad,” but at the same time we’re sitting down with Russia on giving the lead state sponsor of terror a pathway to a nuclear bomb and $150 million.

PRIEST: You saw the relationship with Russia as potentially good for the U.S.?

FLYNN: No. No. I saw the relation with Russia as necessary to the U.S., for the interests of the U.S. We worked very closely with them on the Sochi Olympics. We were working closely with them on the Iranian nuclear deal. We beat Hitler because of our relationship with the Russians, so anybody that looks on it as anything but a relationship that’s required for mutual supporting interests, including ISIS, … that’s really where I’m at with Russia. We have a problem with radical Islamism and I actually think that we could work together with them against this enemy. They have a worse problem than we do.

PRIEST: Tell me about the RT [state-run Russian Television] relationship?

FLYNN: I was asked by my speaker’s bureau, LAI. I do public speaking. It was in Russia. It was a paid speaking opportunity. I get paid so much. The speaker’s bureau got paid so much, based on our contract.

PRIEST: Can you tell me how much you got for that?

FLYNN: No.

PRIEST: No? Because you don’t want to get your fees out there?

FLYNN: Yeah, I don’t.

...does that sound like someone "in the pocket" of Russia or ISIS or Turkey to you?

I'm pretty amazed by the flat out lies that are blaring over MSM on the stupid box 24/7.  I do not own a TV (15 years and counting) but if I go to a friends house or the local watering hole where the "nooz" is on... I'm speechless.  They do not even try to hide it anymore.  It looks like some group psychosis or something, it's creepy.  I'd encourage ZH's to just walk away from the TV for three months as an experiment.  It will detox your mind.

BeerMe's picture

Yeah it is weird.  But maybe I'm the weird one not having cable and not paying attention to news media.  Maybe because I realize the personalities are reading a script?  Why do some peaple hold talking heads to more than an entertainment standard?  If said media personalities were smart they wouldn't be reading the news.  I really can't stand the news because it is bullshit.  Same with most television shows.

mc888's picture

It is creepy. It's ALMOST as creepy as the Windows 10 TV commercials showing how their product will indoctrinate and raise your children.

YourAverageJoe's picture

What I mostly watch on TV is old reruns from days gone by, and my favorite is Leave it to Beaver, where everyone is responsible, respectful, and white, and the Presidents were Eisenhower and Kennedy.

The news today  just pisses me off.

>But a president cannot be removed from office for arrogance and sloppiness…

Sure he can.  He can be removed for no reason at all.  If Congress says he's committed high crimes and misdemeanors, then buh-bye.  Just as he can be left in place when he's a useless twit who chases interns and gets hit by flying objects thrown by his wife.  Or fails to pass a budget for his entire tenure.

But what gets me, and what I think gets a lot of people, is that the attempt to remove Trump is all garbage.  If he's going to be removed on suspicion of witchcraft, what does that say about everyone else in the country?

coast1's picture

From what I learned, is even if they want to impeach Trump it will take years to do it....Thanks to previous presidents who signed laws etc to not be able to remove a president...And either Trump won and fooled them, or he was part of this all, but if he wasnt part of this all, he can use past laws which will take years to impeach trump.

Let me fix that headline for us all ok?   lets get rid of the question mark first, then....

"There is a coup attempt underway in America".....no question mark needed....

quax's picture

It's by design, and called seperation of powers.

bytebank's picture

It is a coup. MSM is leading the charge. CNN is 100% negative news on Trump. Not one good story, not one. Same with MSNBC. Fox ratings are tanking, if they leave him it is game over.

Republicans in Congress hate him as well. On top of that Trump changed his views on the wars, NAFTA, Russia and is now bleeding supporters. Bringing in Ivanka and her hubby has not helped either. President Pence any time soon? They will bring him down as well.
