Media Silent As Christian Extremists Slaughter Muslims In Central Africa

Hundreds of civilians are seeking refuge inside a mosque in the Central African Republic (CAR)’s border town of Bangassou, Reuters reports.

What may be surprising to the American public is that these civilians are trying to escape ongoing attacks committed by Christian militias that killed at least 30 civilians over the weekend, according to U.N. officials and aid workers.

According to Reuters, the weekend attacks in Bangassou, located on the Congolese border, have involved hundreds of fighters with heavy weaponry. The fighting is aimed at the Muslim populations and signals that the conflict currently besieging the country is worsening.

“The situation is extremely deplorable and we are doing everything to rapidly retake control of Bangassou,” MINUSCA (the U.N. mission) chief Parfait Onanga-Anyanga told Reuters in an interview.

According to Onanga-Anyanga, many of the fighters are child soldiers who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

The head of the Red Cross in CAR, Antoine Mbao-Bogo, said his staff has counted 115 bodies in Bangassou following the latest fighting.

While these developments may be unheard of in the eyes and ears of much of the American public, the truth is that this conflict has been raging for some time now. According to the Guardian, thousands of Muslims have been killed or displaced in the conflict. For example, the city of Bangui previously had approximately 130,000 Muslim residents; the number of Muslims is now likely less than 1,000.

According to Reuters, the U.N. base in Bangassou has also been targeted.

CAR has been besieged by this violence since 2013, when mostly Muslim Seleka fighters ousted then-President Francois Bozize. Amnesty International has referred to the developments in the country as “ethnic cleansing” since the fighting erupted.

As this conflict rages on, however, don’t expect the corporate media to pay too much attention to it anytime soon — it doesn’t fit the mainstream narrative that only majority Muslim countries deploy groups of extremists that terrorize civilians.

In 2015, the U.N. Development Index rated CAR as having the lowest level of human development. It was ranked dead last. The country is the world’s 12th largest producer of diamonds and is home to a secretive, bloody gold trade and also harbors mineral, uranium, and oil reserves.

Liberation might be just around the corner, though the country’s majority Christian population might exclude it from the U.S. military’s ‘War on Terror’ narrative.

Well anyone who has been following this for the past few years knows the Muslims attacked first. The Christians were nice to them until the minority Muslim population overthrew the government in a coup and subjugated the Christians. Bad idea, the Christians fought back and chased every pork-o-phobic out of town.

Exactly right. I am shocked Zerohedge allows this shit to grace its pages without doing research to see if the writer is full of shit.

As usual partial story.  Looks like conflicts between Muslim and Christians has been going on for a long time. To quote wiki "There has also been ethno-religious fighting between the Muslim and Christian communities. Further there have been concerns of Islamists setting up a base in the country, including Boko Haram who are already present in neighbouring Cameroon."

Glad to see Christians fighting back.

Just a side note: Funny how the term “ethnic cleansing” is seemingly defined differently with each passing day. A simple fact most refuse to face is that religion isn’t ethnicity. We have a worldwide epidemic. Adults everywhere are increasingly taking on a big, ugly collective childlike acceptance of almost all misinformation they’re fed (the problem is very real). I usually feel like I’m the only person who clearly sees how veraciously adults crave foolishness while they cast aside any manner of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, or insight. …It’s really saddening.

frontierland's picture

Some words have been detached from their original meaning to suit the narrative.

"Religion isn’t Ethnicity"...  Unless you're talking about Jews.  Funny that.

Your masters are a "special case" - in this as in all things.

Or amusing.

Simply a matter of perception. Reality doesn't care about moral judgements and  emotional reponses.

It just keeps rolling along.

Drawing an equivalence between Christianity and Islam?  Make you a $1,000 bet.  Let's count up the worldwide total of Islamic attacks (including between different Islamic sects) for the next week and then count up the total number of Christian attacks over the last CENTURY.  Islam will win hands down, guaranteed.

Bonus round:. Count the number of Islamic sermons over the next week that call for killing, and compare that to the number of similar sermons preached in Christian churches.

Christianity has some drawbacks, notably related to nominal Christians whose words and actions directly contradict the New Testament.  But since the Reformation non-Christians are much safer in Christendom than non-Muslims are in Dar-al-Islam.  Don't believe it?  Wear a crucifix around your neck and (particularly as a female) drive in to the Kabaa in Mecca and--assuming as a non-Muslim you get by the religious police--step out and shout "Allah sucks!" In Arabic.

You don't have to do the second half of the experiment because you are now dead, probably after multiple gang rapes, whether you are male or female.

shovelhead's picture

You sure about that Reformation business?

Seems to me I recall a few bumpy spots in the road back then.

aardvarkk's picture

I am pretty sure of what I wrote...less sure of what you read.  I am well aware that there were major issues with the church before and during the Reformation (Inquisition, etc) which is why I specified SINCE the Reformation.  Islam, sadly, has no analogous event in its history, though it is badly in need of such a thing.  Though it is roughly now the age Christianity was when it began the Reformation, so maybe the current shitstorm is a sign of the beginning of that.  One can hope.  But with Islam not having a real analog to the New Testament and their entire leadership united in their insistence on the Quran as the precise and literal word of Allah, that hope is tenuous at best.

Which means that organized militias aside, time spent at the range is perhaps not wasted for any non-Muslims who ever come into regular contact with them.  Just in case.

mabuhay1's picture

So what?  Where is the problem?  Not enough Christians being slaughtered for you in this small conflict between tribal groups and borderline Christians against Muslims?  This is a very poor example, but considering the situation, where Muslims are massacring non-Muslims across the Globe on a daily basis, it was bound to happen that somewhere in this large planet there would be a little push-back against the Muslim fanatics.

Lots of commenters having trouble with cognitive dissonance. There is a way to clear it.

az_patriot's picture

"Christian" extremists?  Nonsense.  Unlike Islam, Christianity doesn't call for Christians to kill anyone, unless you totally twist and misinterpret the Old Testament.  Self-defense against Islamic radicals?  Probably fine.

shovelhead's picture

Wouldn't Christians have to be misinterpreting the New Testament because, well, not to put too fine a point on it, that actually defines what and who a Christian is?

Crusades ?

Islamic blowback.
Been goin' on for THOUSANDS of years.

Never going to end nicely when sinners take the reins. Fuck the war pigs, in god's name.

Let's see now, one country in Africa has a Christian militia that kills 30 Muslims. The entire Middle East and most of Africa has Muslim militias and legitimate states that slaughter Christians. Sure, that sounds comparable. Idiot

Hooray, Fake News comes to Africa! Did anyone notice that the fighting started "when mostly Muslim Seleka fighters ousted then-President Francois Bozize"? So, then, why are these "ongoing attacks" rather than counterattacks?

pippi68's picture

In March 2013, President Bozizé (a Christian) was overthrown in the Central African Republic Civil War by a mostly-Muslim rebel coalition known as Séléka. The leader of the Séléka, Michel Djotodia, then became the first Muslim president of the country.[8] With the disbanding of the army by Djotodia, many army members joined the group, boosting their numbers and helping train them.[3]

So.... they are really trying to take their homeland back it seems. Sweden may decide to do the same when they can no longer put up with the rampant crime and abuse. The militia was formed to protect the mostly Christian people from the violent crimes commited by the mostly Muslim invaders. Once their leader was overthrown they refused to disband.

So still fits the violent Muslim invaders narrative.

Imagine if the Spanish had relented under social justice warrior pressure.

Europe would have fallen to Islam a thousand years earlier.

Make no mistake about it, Islam is an invention of the very same 'masters' of the mystery religions, mystery babylon, the luciferian dogma which was espoused by Albert Pike, Aleister Crowley and the founders of Masonic America.

To acclaim Islam is a peacefull 'religion' is to ignore its history. To be naive and imagine that ALL that call themselves 'Christian' are in fact ambassadors of Christ is a second error. The moral relivatist age we live in has muddied the water, but make no mistake about it that water is only a piece of a raging river. Truth is not a democracy.

If it is in the name of Christianity, Christ would not have die on the Cross. The bottomline is power and money, religion is just a useful tool.
