The Republic Has Fallen: The Deep State's Plot To Take Over America Has Succeeded

Tyler Durden's picture

Submitted by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

No doubt about it.

The coup d’etat has been successful.

The Deep State - a.k.a. the police state, a.k.a. the military industrial complex - has taken over.

The American system of representative government has been overthrown by a profit-driven, militaristic corporate state bent on total control and global domination through the imposition of martial law here at home and by fomenting wars abroad.

When in doubt, follow the money trail.

It always points the way.

Every successive president starting with Franklin D. Roosevelt has been bought—lock, stock and barrel—and made to dance to the tune of the Deep State.

Enter Donald Trump, the candidate who swore to drain the swamp in Washington DC.

Instead of putting an end to the corruption, however, Trump has paved the way for lobbyists, corporations, the military industrial complex, and the Deep State to feast on the carcass of the dying American republic.

Just recently, for instance, Trump agreed to sell Saudi Arabia more than $110 billion in military weapons.

Meanwhile, Trump—purportedly in an effort to balance the budget in 10 years—wants to slash government funding for programs for the poor, ranging from health care and food stamps to student loans and disability payments.

The military doesn’t have to worry about tightening its belt, however. No, the military’s budget—with its trillion dollar wars, its $125 billion in administrative waste, and its contractor-driven price gouging that hits the American taxpayer where it hurts the most—will continue to grow, thanks to Trump.

This is how you keep the Deep State in power.

The rich will get richer, the poor will get poorer, the military will get more militaristic, America’s endless wars will get more endless, and the prospect of peace will grow ever dimmer.

As for the terrorists, they will keep on being played for pawns as long as Saudi Arabia remains their breeding ground and America remains the source of their weapons, training and know-how.

Follow the money.  It always points the way.

As Bertram Gross noted in Friendly Fascism: The New Face of Power in America, evil now wears a friendlier face than ever before in American history.”

Writing in 1980, Gross predicted a future in which he saw:

…a new despotism creeping slowly across America. Faceless oligarchs sit at command posts of a corporate-government complex that has been slowly evolving over many decades. In efforts to enlarge their own powers and privileges, they are willing to have others suffer the intended or unintended consequences of their institutional or personal greed. For Americans, these consequences include chronic inflation, recurring recession, open and hidden unemployment, the poisoning of air, water, soil and bodies, and, more important, the subversion of our constitution. More broadly, consequences include widespread intervention in international politics through economic manipulation, covert action, or military invasion...

We’ve been losing our freedoms so incrementally for so long—sold to us in the name of national security and global peace, maintained by way of martial law disguised as law and order, and enforced by a standing army of militarized police and a political elite determined to maintain their powers at all costs—that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly when it all started going downhill, but we’re certainly on that downward trajectory now, and things are moving fast.

The “government of the people, by the people, for the people” has perished.

It will not be revived or restored without a true revolution of values and a people’s rebellion the likes of which we may not see for a very long time.

America is a profitable business interest for a very select few, and war—wars waged abroad against shadowy enemies and wars waged at home against the American people—has become the Deep State’s primary means of income.

After all, war is big business.

In order to maintain a profit margin, one would either have to find new enemies abroad or focus on fighting a war at home, against the American people, and that’s exactly what we’re dealing with today.

  • Local police transformed into a standing army in the American homeland through millions of dollars’ worth of grants to local police agencies for military weapons, vehicles, training and assistance.
  • The citizenry taught to fear and distrust each other and to welcome the trappings of the police state.

Had the government tried to ram such a state of affairs down our throats suddenly, it might have had a rebellion on its hands. Instead, the American people have been given the boiling frog treatment, immersed in water that slowly is heated up—degree by degree—so that they’ve fail to notice that they’re being trapped and cooked and killed.

“We the people” are in hot water now.

As I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, the Constitution doesn’t stand a chance against a federalized, globalized standing army protected by legislative, judicial and executive branches that are all on the same side, no matter what political views they subscribe to: suffice it to say, they are not on our side or the side of freedom.

From Clinton to Bush, then Obama and now Trump, it’s as if we’ve been caught in a time loop, forced to re-live the same thing over and over again: the same assaults on our freedoms, the same disregard for the rule of law, the same subservience to the Deep State, and the same corrupt, self-serving government that exists only to amass power, enrich its shareholders and ensure its continued domination.

The republic has fallen to fascism with a smile.

Elections will not save us.

Learn the treacherous lessons of 2008 and 2016:  presidential elections have made a mockery of our constitutional system of government, suggesting that our votes can make a difference when, in fact, they merely serve to maintain the status quo.

Don’t delay.

Start now—in your own communities, in your schools, at your city council meetings, in newspaper editorials, at protests—by pushing back against laws that are unjust, police departments that overreach, politicians that don’t listen to their constituents, and a system of government that grows more tyrannical by the day.

If you wait until 2020 to rescue our republic from the clutches of the Deep State, it will be too late.

Please.  The WIC* is over THREE TIMES the size of the MIC.  The Deep State is the WIC.  Try cutting any of their free shit.

(Yeah, yeah... down vote away.  Buit it is a fact that the WIC is over three times the size of the MIC.)

All wars are paid for with inflation. The Vietnam war led to the inflation of the '70s, which cut our real earnings in half. Iraq/Afghanistan did the same thing in the 2000's. Another halving of our standard of living (offset by debt this time, not spouses working).

When there is so much noise by stooges that won't name the Jew saying it's the MIC, it's pretty obvious that it's actually the people attacking the MIC that are causing the real problems.

You will never hear anyone criticizing the Welfare and FSA. You will never hear these same people criticize Israel or the Jews. The Jews hate anyone that will defend themselves against their tyranny. You will never see them support the US Military, or any White man military.

You are evil for defending yourselves White man, and if you don't believe it, they will use our control of your government to convince you that you're evil and too militaristic. How dare you take up arms and defend yourselves White man.

That's the message I get from these fuckers everytime I hear them complain about the "MIC".

11/22/63   JFK was a coup.

NidStyles's picture

Nope, that was a reset because he dared to get off track. The coup happened in 1913. Without a single shot fired in defense of the nation.

Everything since then has been nothing more than a consolidation of their political power. A removal of the White man's ability to defend himself.

1913 was the big one -- a structural coup.

Yes -- JFK really antagonized the deep state.

Opening lines of communication with Castro and Kruschev ,  Executive Order 11110, intent to wind down Vietnam, Secret Society speech.

He was dead a couple of months after the Executive Order.

They never made that mistake again -- anyone else who got in was controlled or else.

Unfortunately, Executive Order 11110 as an attack on the Fed is a poorly researched myth.  I learned this very recently from the Man himeself, G. Edward Griffen, author of The Creature from Jekyll Island.    Worth the listen.

In the '70s & '80s lots of journalists, analysts and other smart people wrote or talked about the danger of corporations becoming global monopolies, overtaking governements and becoming a fascist capitalist oligarchy - nobody listened to them and accused them of being socialists or communists. Now you got it, maybe it is just the time to start listening to the smart people instead of visceral instincts or guiding after story books written by fishermen and sheppards two thousand years ago.

NidStyles's picture

Fascism is a nationalist philosophy, has nothing to do with corporations or oligarchy. In fact the right of a corporation becomes subservient to the government and the state, not the other way around.

Corporations fall in line with Marxist ideology. No one person owns the means of production within a corporation.

You people need to learn how to think.

Luc X. Ifer's picture

You are a plain idiot who obviously never read history. Read the origin of term 'fascism' dumbass. And for your information both capitalist and communist oligarchic aristocracy belong to the fascism family.

that has gotten to be very close to true in the u.s. and the world today.  not all jews are on the side of the likud mossad zionists working out of israel, new york, washington dc and london and the likud/mossad have many, many goy allies.  but their multigenerational plot to control the western governments, particularly the u.s., has been quite successful.

but nothing lasts forever.  they have pushed a series of policies with diminishing public support and increasing public awareness of their evil doings.  they have spent the gold, mounted a series of false flags, the mother of which, 9-11, is increasingly unraveling, and started and lost a half dozen wars.  their actions have pushed onto china and russia an independence from the west and an alliance with each other (iran too).  this makes a difference even if the zionists are still lodged in power.

currently they have been forced into the open in their war with trump.  this itself is unusual as they prefer to make war by way of deception (jfk lone gunman, nixon uncovered campaign crimes, 9-11 arab terrorists).  their certain thing, hillary clinton, appears to have badly fucked up and her hit on seth rich is coming to the surface through the fbi's failure to investigate it (how can that be justified?) and the ancillary refusal to allow the fbi to examine the dnc servers supposedly hacked by the russians. the awan brothers conundrum (why are their congressional victims protecting the awan brothers already apparently guilty of information handling crimes?) may play into this as well.

we have an opportunity here to drive a wedge into the loosening keystones of the deep state.  there just is no way that the fbi's handling of the "russian hacking" case passes the smell test.  either act, refusal to investigate or acceptance of "rebuff" from examining the dnc servers is clear grounds, on these facts alone, to fire the top three echelons of the fbi's current management and whoever did/didn't do the cited acts.  we cannot let this pass; they are caught in a logical fallacy that doesn't depend on physical evidence which can be falsified and argued over endlessly.

we cannot let them escape this time.

SofaPapa's picture

One false dichotomy that plagues us to this day is the "state versus corporate fatcats" myth.

It amazes me that anyone still believes government has interests separate from those of the corporate elite.  They are the same damned thing.  These are the same people.  THAT is the problem.  The government will not save us from the evil capitalists, because they are the exact same people.

It's also why any revolution seeking to "take over the government to make it just" will lead us right back where we are.

I want to see there be NO federal government.  Imagine a world where the US ceases to exist.  There are only the 50 (or however many end up coming out of the chaos that would surely be required to get to this point) individual states.  I'm fine with the same thing happening in Russia and China, too, with each of them being split up, but the fact is that they are not my problem; they are the concern of the people who live there.

This is the "imagine" that I have.  Not one world, but many many small worlds, each figuring out their own way, much more directly in contact with the people who comprise their populations.

A guy can dream.

While it certainly CORRECT that major milestones were passed in 1913, when the Federal Reserve Board became backed by income tax, when one "follows the money," one should follow money to the deep history of money being measurement backed by murder.

The article above was another example of superficially correct analysis, relying upon using the term "freedom" as a magical word. Most people who like to use the notion of "freedom" as a sort of transcendental poetry are not interested in reconciling their notions regarding "freedom" with the principle of the conservation of energy. Since human beings can NOT create energy out of nothing, nor send energy to nothing, their "freedom" is limited to the degree to which it is not possible to obtain perfect measurements, because of the ways that all subtractions of parts from the whole are necessarily relative.

As soon as human beings are perceived and defined as separated from their environment and each other, then they necessarily live as reproducing gangs of robbers. The ONLY ways in which that is not correct are those ways in which the original subtractions were never absolute, from which follows that the related robberies, by taking energy across the boundaries of human beings defined as finite creatures, is never finished, since human beings actually live as toroidal vortices engaged in entropic pumping of environmental energy flows, which partake of participating in the apparently endless conservation of energy and momentum, and the related preservation of information.

When one follows money back in history one discovers the ways that paper money frauds were backed by gunpowder weapons, which systems were derived from previous systems whereby metal money was backed by swords. Further back, and one discovers that human beings necessarily kill to live, because they must eat other organisms. Therefore, money, as measurement backed by murder, was the result of a long evolution and historical development of human beings into their currently dominate Globalized Neolithic Civilization, where globalized electronic monkey money frauds are backed by the threat of force from apes with atomic bombs. The money systems were always backed by the murder systems, while the money systems paid for those murder systems in return. The rise of the political power of the deep state shadow government was related to the basic background of how and why artificial selection systems developed from natural selection systems.

The political problems which now exist have become trillions of times worse than ever before in human history, due to the combined, overlapping effects of prodigious progress in physical science enabling technologies to become trillions of times more capable and powerful, which were then channeled through social pyramid systems based on being able to back up lies with violence, to become the currently dominate systems whereby public governments enforce frauds by private banks, and the big corporations that grew up around those big banks. Deep state shadow governments have been able to control their apparent "opposition" to the degree to which there is no genuine opposition, but only those groups which continue to rely upon impossible ideals as their bogus "solutions" to the situations which arise due to money necessarily being measurement backed by murder. It was always that case that Globalized Neolithic Civilization was based on integrated systems of legalized lies, backed by legalized violence. The only differences are due to progress in physical science enabling human nature to express itself in ways which have become many orders of magnitude greater than ever before.

In my view, the only ways that Western Civilization might survive is for it to continue to go through series of intellectual scientific revolutions and profound paradigms shifts, which are applied through political science. There is practically nothing like that in the series of articles from John Whitehead. Rather, after superficially correct analysis he then collapses back to bogus "solutions" based on old-fashioned notions regarding "freedom" which do not attempt to reconcile the idea of "freedom" with natural laws.

There is no freedom without a force.

There was no previous time when that was not the case. There was never a time when there was some magical "Republic" which was still not based on the fundamental facts that the ONLY relationships between natural laws and human laws are the abilities to back up lies with violence. The ONLY things which actually exist are the dynamic equilibria between different systems of more or less organized lies operating robberies. ONLY that which actually exists can actually evolve.

John Whitehead is typically not interested in changing his paradigms through which he perceives political problems by taking for granted the use of DUALITIES, false fundamental dichotomies and the related impossible ideals. However, the prodigious progress in physical science is making it become more and more theoretically imperative for political science to start using more UNITARY MECHANISMS in order to better understand human beings and Civilization as manifestations of general energy systems.

Using more UNITARY MECHANISMS results in not merely recognizing that governments have become the biggest forms of organized crime, dominated by the best organized gangsters, which have become the international bankers, but moreover, going beyond that to recognize how and why human language necessarily is based upon relative DUALITIES, which have been promoted as absolute DUALITIES by those who became the biggest and best organized gangs of robbers, namely the banksters who are achieving symbolic robberies through governments enforcing frauds.

All of the various expressions of false fundamental dichotomies, and the related bogus "solutions" based on impossible ideals, tend to indulge in various DUALITIES, such as "freedom versus tyranny" etc. ... However, everything that is done in those ways is "barking up the wrong tree," because doing so is not based on attempting to use better UNITARY MECHANISMS, such as consistent with attempting to better understand human beings and Civilization as manifestations of general energy systems.

There are essential deep dilemmas that arise from doing so, which are due to the ways that natural selection pressures drove the development of artificial selection systems to become most socially successful by becoming as dishonest as possible. Hence, the history of successful warfare based on deceits and treacheries, which became the foundation for successful finance based on enforcing frauds. Moreover, the history of progress in science and technology has enabled those enforced frauds to become about exponentially more fraudulent.

The overall consequences are that Globalized Neolithic Civilization is based on the excessively successful applications of the methods of organized crime through the political processes to result in Civilization manifesting as runaway criminal insanities, within which the USA became the most important component, as the America Dollar became the global reserve currency, backed by the American Military (including covert operations by groups like the CIA, etc. ...)

The laws of nature are not going to stop working, and so, nothing that depends upon the laws of nature are going to stop working. However, that also necessarily includes the ways that the laws of nature drove the laws of man to become as dishonest as possible, while those laws of man are currently endeavouring to become exponentially more dishonest, as enforcing frauds which become exponentially more fraudulent.

For sure, 1913 was a very significant milestone year in the history of money being measurement backed by murder, when the American Dollar was captured by the international bankers, which frauds of making "money" out of nothing as debts were enforced by Americans having to pay their taxes using that fiat money. However, in my opinion, there is currently no publicly significant genuine opposition, namely one which would propose and promote better murder systems to back up better money systems, (as only possible through profound paradigm shifts in the ways that the combined death and debt controls are perceived), but rather the only publicly significant "opposition" is controlled by the ways that they still think and communicate by using languages and philosophical presumptions which continue taking for granted their various old-fashioned DUALITIES.

When human beings live as toroidal vortices engaged in entropic pumping of environmental energy flows, that basically is human beings live by killing and eating other organisms. It was within that context that some human beings developed their abilities to kill other human beings. It was those murder systems that controlled everything else Civilization ended up doing, especially including the ways that the murder systems backed up the money systems. Civilization necessarily operates according to the principles and methods of organized crime. That is not possible to stop. It would only be marginally possible to do that in better ways, that were based upon greater uses of information enabling higher consciousness.

For fear of the Jews, even the Birchers’ The New American white washes history.

Steve Byas, writing yesterday in his article Despite Differences, Netanyahu Welcomes Trump to Israel, completely falsified the Jewish takeover of Palestine by omitting that when the Jewish state was established in Palestine, approximately 700,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes.

Reversing the role of the aggressor (Israel) with that of the victim (the Palestinians), Byas wrote : “Israel was restored as a nation in 1948, which provoked an immediate invasion by some of its Arab neighbors. Israel defeated the Arab armies then, and again in the Six-Day War of 1967, at which time they annexed East Jerusalem.”

In "Expulsion of the Palestinians," the Institute for Palestine Studies reports that around 80 percent of the Arab inhabitants of what became Israel left or were expelled from their homes.

The Jewish population of Palestine in 1933 was 175,006.

War is good. It is the only thing that advanced the human race to where it is today. I am not saying that despots, criminals, or the actions of perverts are good, but rather that the warrior class is essential to advance humankind. Snowflakes and cupcakes are not. So while unwarranted aggression and acts of violence for violence sake are to be deterred, responding to agression in its many forms is essential for the survival and advancement of the species. By all means work to clear out the influence of the financiaers and industrialists if they do not aid the war effort, but rather try to create it. But don't be misled into believeing that pacifism is the solution. Pacifism is the propoganda of the totalitarian statist left and is sold to the gullible as a panancea for the weak.

SofaPapa's picture

Interesting argument, though I don't see the "how" in your comment.  How does "responding to agression in its many forms" lead to advancement of the species?

I am not knee-jerk anti-war as a concept.  I view war less as a tool or a thought-out rational endeavor, and more as an instinct.  Humans, like all animals, have aggressive tendencies built into our DNA, some individuals more than others.  I don't encourage war, and basically I disagree with your conclusion, but I agree with Kurt Vonnegut, who was quoting someone else: trying to stop war is like trying to stop glaciers flowing downhill.

The trouble is that the world has changed in such a way that the logic of war combined with human technological advancement has now created a situation where continued warfare will eventually and inevitably lead to a species-extinction event.  War with swords and shields killed some portion of people and the rest of the species continued moving on.  War on a nuclear battlefield will kill everyone.  That is obviously counterproductive.  Sadly, just because it is counterproductive does not mean it won't happen.  Humans are not remotely as rational as we'd like to believe.  To connect the dots firmly, a species-extinction event is no longer the "advancement of the species".

So while I don't dismiss your premise that warfare has been the motivator for a lot of human technological advancement, with much of that advancement spilling over into other areas leading to a better quality of living, we have crossed the rubicon now to the point that such logic is no longer productive.  The risks are too high.  Either we learn to find a different motivator for our advancement, or we wipe ourselves out entirely.

The jury is still very much out as to which path we will follow.
