Did Elon Musk just confirm that the moon landings were faked?

Mother should I trust the government?
-Pink Floyd, Mother

Elon Musk just announced that SpaceX abandons propulsive landing plans for Red Dragon mission to Mars.

In my opinion, we should not be surprised.

NASA supposedly used propulsive landing for the Apollo missions to the moon...in 1969.

I ask you to please click the following hyperlinks to read three articles, carefully, watch one 3-1/3 minute video, closely, and then draw your own conclusions about the Apollo Moon landings that we are told occured nearly 50 years ago.

First, an article from RT, today:

SpaceX abandons propulsive landing plans for Red Dragon mission to Mars

“The reason we decided not to pursue that heavily is that it would have taken a tremendous amount of effort to qualify that for safety for crew transport,” Musk said. “That’s why we are not pursuing it. It could be something that we bring back later, but it doesn’t seem like the right way to apply resources right now.”

Musk added that he did not think that propulsive landing was the best approach.

https://www.rt.com/usa/397023-musk-dragon-mars-propulsive/

Second, my article from ZeroHedge, last year, 2016:

I like velcro and used to drink Tang, but about the moon, was NASA really full of horseshit?

" My premise is that President Kennedy wasn't an aerospace engineer, he was a politician faced with the Russians and their satellites scaring the shit out of his constituency.  He called our shot, but we couldn't make it.  So they lied."

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-03-03/i-velcro-and-used-drink-tang-wa...

Third, an article from Physics Professor, Dr. Oleg Oleynik, in 2012, and updated in 2017*:

A Stereoscopic method of verifying Apollo lunar surface images

"Thus, based on the above examples, this study concludes that the Apollo 15 photographic record does NOT depict real lunarscapes with distant backgrounds located more than a kilometre away from the camera."

"These pictures were, without doubt, taken in a studio set – up to 300 metres in size. A complex panorama mimicking the lunarscape shows degrees of movement, such as horizontal and vertical changes to give an impression of imaginary distance to the objects and perspective."

Fourth, a youtube video of the Apollo 11 astronaut press conference upon returning from the moon, July 20,1969*:

Apollo 11 Television Press Conference

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RcKLAo62Ro

* Hat tip to Cognitive Dissonance

Do these three guys, who supposedly just came back from the moon with two of them landing and returning, look and sound like they just came back from the moon?

And here is the full hour and half press conference. Listen to the actual words and sentence structure as well as the body language, which is screaming out-loud disingenuous...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RcKLAo62Ro

What do you think, now?

Horseman got a second chance at this article?!   He must give GREAT head.   fargin asshat.  I really wish the Tylers would quit taking his money to post such garbage.   These are the same luddites that will try to prove to you that Noah's flood really did happen in 40 days.   They'll show you how the Grand Canyon was carved.  The same sort of 'critical thinking' is applied.

LET US JUST FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES say he's correct.  He's not.  He's a blow hard wanna be with a somewhat large hat and no cattle.  The space race and especially Kennedy's challenge to the moon gave us a huge portion of the technology we have, today.   Growing up in Clear Lake, I had the internet in the mid frigg'n 80s.   Though, we called them bulletin boards, back then.   It was just a few years ago that we sent a rocket up there to blast a frozen ass crater to just see if it had any water in it.  We have officially left the solar system with voyager.  We have been to and taken photos and 'scanned' a good chunk of the solar system.  We built a space plane that was later taken over by the military to keep humans living in orbit for....ohhhhh, I dunno how many years now.  Hell, I have my own asteroid named after me, not that I know if I have any mineral rights are not.  We have recently replaced the SOHO sats with new ones that keep an eye on the sun in case of any solar flares.  We are about to launch a probe into the corona of the sun.  flew by Mercury, recently.  And in 1962, Mariner 2, after a Soviet attempt, orbited Venus... 7 years before the moon.  ON AND ON....     so, let us just give this asshole a 'what if'.  What if it was the most lucrative, quick paced and far reaching hoax ever concieved.  Remember, in 1917 we barely flew planes and in 1817 we sailed boats.   It wasn't a hoax, .....headless... no irony lost there...  It gave you the ability to post your BS on here and to trade stocks with lasers.  I think these dicks just need to put their bibles down and admit the galaxy isn't flat.  Is our fairly recent trip to Enceladus and finding out that that far out it's a warm water planet from the friction by being torn between Jupiter and the Sun just some Arthur C Clarke fiction... the same guy that gave us the communication satellite?

A good thing for hedgless horseman to do would be keep his ass down in the dessert of south Texas.  Keep his braggadocio to those that fear god.

PrivetHedge's picture

You are over-reacting and over-compensating.

What's your horse in this race?

Is that you Buzz?

Quit lying and whining.

matermaker's picture

I was born and raised at nasa.. i worked for space shuttle earth observations at lockheed as a high school student when the oil fires were burning in the first gulf war.   I find this kind of dumbassed bantor personally offensive.   Telling me that EVERY one I knew or grew up with, looked up to, etc.. was at best a liar.          dipshit should get out of the dessert more.

PrivetHedge's picture

Few of your co-workers would have either known or suspected.

BTW the truth does not respect your emotions, it just is. What I find personally offensive is that you come out with unfounded emotional statements like yours with no discussion, investigation and a complete ignorance of the gaping holes in the NASA story.

wafm's picture

just coz you were stupid enuf to believe al that garbage don't make it true. apollo was a fake , fact.

matermaker's picture

alas, let the people that want to say the world is flat, do so.  1962 both Russia and the US went to Venus... but hey?  that's all bullshit.... give us our bibles.   can we keep our Iphones?

PrivetHedge's picture

Stop trolling into a different subject: This is about the faked Apollo missions.

Go look like an idiot in some other forum or stick to the subject, faith boy.

matermaker's picture

I do hope that luddite, fanatical looser learns a lesson here.. though... or spends more money for a thrid round... whatever.. horseman is an idiot.

And  we're still being forced to pay $5,000,000,000 a year to

the Right Stuff for the Space Shuttle program that has now

been OVER FOR SIX YEARS, so those in the SS program can

sit at their desks until they get 30-and-out pensions for life.

matermaker's picture

bitch, you wouldn't even have velcro, otherwise.  wouildn't have the internet  blah blah...  the military has followed NASA for the last 50 years.  pensions at 30?    you obviously don't know how the government system works...  look up the GS program.  Not many retire at GS15-17... and if they do, it ain't at 30.

Utopia Planitia's picture

So now you want to tell me that Musky (Smell) is the authority on NASA moon landings?  Really?  Please don't put your Tesla on AutoPileUp the next time you go for a drive.

RenaissanceMan's picture

Somebody with a very high power Telescope should be able to photograph the area of the moon where the landings occurred.  I am not able to do this, otherwise I would determine the exact location on the moon and use a computer guided Telescope.  Since NASA said that there is no gravity or wind on the moon, logic would dictate that landing marks, rover tracks, footprints and the American flag could still be viewed, as they were when the landings occurred.  This would settle the debate once and for all.

There has got to be a rogue Astronomer at some observatory that would take this simple challenge and prove whether or not there were moon landings.  Granted, it would require a powerful Telescope, however, they exist and whomever has one can put this baby to bed.  Real time optics could also settle the Flat Earth debate as well.  At age 53 now, I have arrived at this conclusion: There are extremes at both ends of every conspiracy, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.  There is also a very robust dis-information industry in place.

At some point, we're all going to figure out what the fuck is going on.  And when we find the truth, we can put foot to ass.  In the meantime, the few are awake but the many are asleep.

PrivetHedge's picture

"I would determine the exact location on the moon"

You know how they find those?

They look in the rough area and then home in on the bright spot they selected for that site (to 'prove' their miniscule reflectors were there).

It's all self supporting.

matermaker's picture

Dude... we flew a rocket up there just a years ago... well, actually an orbiter with a missile.  We wanted to se if we could find evidence of water in one of the deep craters.   If you hadn't noticed, we also were just flying by Pluto and taking pics.      Where have you dumbasses been the last 40 years?   WE couldn't possibly have gone to the moon a few decades ago,, but now we are leaving the solar system with voyager.

malcolmevans's picture

Problem is if they were to now take a picture of the landing site would anyone believe it wasn't also a fake?

PrivetHedge's picture

Someone we trust would have to take the photos.

That counts out NASA and any government agency.

Not really sure who's left.

Haitian Snackout's picture

Yes, a good point, but there is so much overwhelming evidence against it would only be a drop in the bucket. Perhaps a dune buggy tire that maintains perfect pressure From +250F to -240F would be a good start. Too bad about all that lost secret technology.

RenaissanceMan's picture

Mal...you make a good point.  I had in mind something like a live YouTube deal with several private operators collaborating.  I would think that any issues of integrity would be solved by redundancy.

red1chief's picture

From the evidence I have seen, it appears men did land on the moon. However, much of the footage after the landing was probably faked for dramatic effect.

napper's picture

impossible.

there has been no evidence of manned lunar landing, only evidence of hoax.

btw, google "van Allen radiation belts"

LikeyMikey's picture

What does the Van Allen Radiation Belts have to do with whether the Lunar Landing is a hoax or not?

PrivetHedge's picture

Because you get fried when you leave Low Earth Orbit.

Like standing next to the Chernobyl 'elephant's foot' for a minute or two...

They are in the very high radiation region for over 11 hours (according to NASA's own logs) and then the next 2-3 days spent in the high radiation of unprotected space, getting pinged by cosmic rayes, x rays and neutron radiation.

matermaker's picture

you do realize that humans have been living in upper orbit for decades?   this is what is wrong with you people.

PrivetHedge's picture

Thunderbirds wasn't real either.

Or Space 1999.

Or UFO.

Sorry.

hedgeless_horseman's picture

humans have been living in upper orbit for decades

Link, please, or should we just trust you?

FYI, the ISS is in (very) Low Earth Orbit.

Low Earth Orbit (LEO) is commonly accepted as between 124 and 1,240 miles above the Earth’s surface. Spacecraft in LEO make one complete revolution of the Earth in about 90 minutes (the “orbital period”). The International Space Station (ISS) orbits between 198.6 and 215.5 miles above the Earth’s surface.

https://www.spacefoundation.org/programs/public-policy-and-government-af...

matermaker's picture

absolutely nothing.  anytime you are outside of the protective sheild of the Earth's electromagnetic field, you are looking at radiation.  One solar flare can get you just like a hurricane.  Any electronics are more in danger than a person is.  You've got to shield your stuff for that.  It's like carrington event duck hunter up there.   Musk is just a moron that has been allowed to haul the luggage up to the ISS.

Conscious Reviver's picture

Astronauts in low Earth orbit approx. 250 miles up experience sight damage due to cosmic radiation.

" astronauts aboard Skylab, the Shuttle, Mir, and the International Space Station have all reported seeing these flashes. No need to call Agents Mulder and Scully of The X Files, though: what the astronauts are experiencing is space radiation zipping through their eyes like subatomic bullets. When a "bullet" strikes the retina, it triggers a false signal that the brain interprets as a flash of light."

https://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2004/22oct_cataracts

The intense radiation of the Van Allen Belt starts at 600 miles and continues to 10,000 miles up. The Moon is around 250,000 miles up. So these low-Earth-orbit asrtonauts in the NASA study are having eye problems due to radiation after travelling from Earth only .1% of the distance to the Moon and never even getting into the Van Allen Belts.

No one gets off this rock alive. Have fun with your Mars adventure, Mellon.

matermaker's picture

sure... that's why astronaughts that are up there for damn near three years aren't blind when they get home....   you boys are spouting bullshit.

PrivetHedge's picture

Very low earth orbit is just not the same as the radiation environment encounterd by those rad hardened astronauts and their rad hardened gear back in the impossible engineering feat times og 1969

Oildriller's picture

I personally have a lot more confidence & trust in Wernher von Braun and his team than this ENRON on steroids promoter Musk.

Setarcos's picture

Yes and von Braun said it was impossible.  The clincher for me is that it was impossible to carry enough fuel.  A rough rule of thumb is that with Lunar gravity at 1/6th, a rocket 1/6 of the Apollo launch would have been needed to lift off of the Moon, let alone decelerating to land and never mind the the claimed docking manoevres to rejoin the command module, then accelerate to escape velocity from Lunar orbit ... heck I am not one of those who thinks that the ISS is fake, so I am mindful of the difficulties of docking with that + that only quite recently have space suits allowed extended work on the exterior, therefore another reason to dismiss "men on the Moon" nearly half a century ago.

PrivetHedge's picture

Actually Von Braun did a 1957 film (youtube) showing how they needed a space station first to assemble the craft to make it possible.

This is before they discovered how radioactive it was...

LikeyMikey's picture

What type and amount of fuel would have needed to be carried?

matermaker's picture

The Saturn V is a five stage rocket, hence the name.   Almost the entirety of the weight is in the capsule.   Since the Apollo missions we have discovered how to sling shot around celestial bodies.   Did you ever happen to look to see if a few orbits were made before returning to Earth?   Until you become a rocket scientist, don't try to act like one.  I used to serve Jim Lovell and Red Addair at a very small 'coffee shop' in Nassau Bay.  That's why Apollo 13 was dark, almost out of O2 on the dark side of the moon..  and thus the Pink Floyd song.   The only way they had enough energy to get back home was to sling shot around it.  When voyager hit saturn all those years, ago.   Dad brought home posters.  The orbiter went around and around using the gravity to spin it up like a top.  shot that fucker out ... well fast.   hence why it just left the solar system.   By the way... we first orbited Venus in 1962 with Mariner 2.   If you're going to call one bullshit, call it all bullshit and throw your Iphone in the toilet.

PrivetHedge's picture

No, it's a 3 stage rocket, it does however have 5 F-1 engines at the bottom capable of a total 5 million pounds thrust.

PrivetHedge's picture

The 7.5 million pounds thrust (50% above engine rating) is bunk.

The reason is the tubular combustion chamber can't go above 50 ATM pressure as the tube walls are too thin.

The F-1 was always only capable of 1 million, never 1.5 million. It also had a very dirty inefiicient burn which is why in the videos you see much of the fuel burning some way back from the rocket in the open air: not doing a lot for thrust either.

That's why they dumped the F-1 ASAP, it was no capable of it's claimed performance so before too many people worked it out it was dropped like a hot coal.

I suppose you skeptics think this is a cgi image created by Walt Disney. LOL!

PrivetHedge's picture

That image has been photoshopped, an older version of that image appears in a reuters article and it hasn't been done so well, turn up the brightness and you can make out the earth picture was composited in as a rectangular picture.

https://s14.postimg.org/usk7ywgw1/lm_earth_bright.jpg

I.e. your precious picture is a fake. The earth should look a lot bigger anyway, it's 4x the diameter of the moon.

Most the the early NASA ones are, recently they've been tidying them up to hide the obvious errors - like they did in the version of picture you linked to.

Anteater's picture

Wasn't Owsley cranking out window-pane acid for the Right Stuff in 1969?

I think Kubrick and Leary collaborated on the Apollo omissions CGI work.

I'm sure they 'went to the moon', that's pure ballistics, but have doubts

they landed on the moon, in a lander that was never tested beforehand,

and was immediately retired and never used or demonstrated afterward.

We can see the Great Red Spot on Jupiter for a few $B, but not a Buggy?

Weren't the Chinese astronauts told to avoid any Apollo-area flyovers?

Prolly it has to wait until the last of the Apollos die, to not threaten their

pensions for life. You know how the Pentagon works, 1,000 Generals and

1,000 Admirals and all that Blue Team medals and retirements schtuff.

Did Elon Musk just confirm that the 9/11 attacks were insider CIA-Mossad?

Don't buildings collapse into their own footprint, when you drop the roof?

Didn't a highrise just burn fiercely for days without collapsing? Poor WTC7,

guess it really wasn't the 'most secure and fortified building in NYC', and

the Command Center for City, State and Federal agencies. Just fell down!

Isn't the maypole fun? We dance around and around it and get so dizzzzy!!

This is ZeroHedge..where dummies aren't allowed..

If a white man or asian can't figure the landings were faked.you should not be voting..Women were given the voe in 1917..and Tribe has owned our ass since..

Some commenters here cite a PhD or smash credentials of a Bart Sibrel.  Most people fell for Apollo landings in the 70s and the PhD of today were included in that bunch..but now they know but cant tell the dumb downed masses.  They'd lose there position at University..their wife would throw them out of the house for losing tenured position..they'd never see their kids..Do you get it?

If it were faked..what is weakest part..that a layman might be able to understand with high school physics?

WOmen were permitted to vote with the original US Constitution ratification through property rights.  The Dumbocrats took that right away when they were in power.  Then they got BACK the right to vote so get your shit straight before you think you know what you are talking about and cast a vote!

Fuck the lunar landing truth/fiction.  There has been NOTHING written here that would conclusively prove the question either way but your comments about voting is beyond ignorant!

GreatUncle's picture

Very interesting as our technical abilitiy to detect errors / differences in images that a far distance object by slight movement moves more than it should and now gets detected.

Ty HH enjoyed the article.

Dougs Decks's picture

Well,,, I gotta give it to you HH,,,, You have really stuck your nads out there for them to swing at this time,,, I can tell by the way you phrased both articles, that you aren't saying we never did,,, You are wondering, as I am,,, After many hours of reading and watching a bunch of videos, I put it in percentages,,, I'm 75-80 % guessing that man never walked on the moon,,, Still have that 20-25% that says maybe,,, My worry is the "Van&Halen Belts,,, If these guys could get through them, then, Maybe,,, I think Eddie and David Lee might have been too much,,, I know Eddie Nd Alex,,, Either way as said before, it really doesn't matter,,, I do know 100% that anything .GOV states is to be taken with a pound of salt,,,

Dougs Decks's picture

PS:: I hope Marfa went well,,, Maybe I can make it next year,,,

Father ¢hristmas's picture

Of course we didn't go to the moon.  What're you, fucking stupid?

Your fucking economy's fake, your wars are fake, your stawk market is fake, your constitution is fake, for Chrissakes the troops have backwards flags on the arms of their uniforms.

This stupid fucking gubmint can't even provide health care, yet they're tossing guys on the moon in 19fucking69?

These bozos are still having trouble navigating the Van Allen Belt in 2017, fuck outta here, man.

This is why I say plebes deserve to die.  They deserve to starve, and to cry, and to suffer, and to slave away at jobs their whole lives and have their retirements and homes and vehicles and health insurance and faggoty pensions snatched the fuck away from them.

This is like showing your buddy video of his fiancée having an affair and laughing with the guy about how she's just with him for the munney, and he turns around the next day talking about how soon they're gonna start a family after the wedding.

Shit, the damn constitution states that only the gubmint can issue munney, and we let the Fed issue munney anyway.  But of course, we went to the moon.  Fuckers would never lie about that.

Templar X's picture

If the moon landings were faked, how do you explain this?

What Neil & Buzz Left on the Moon

"The most famous thing Neil Armstrong left on the moon 35 years ago (now 48 years ago) is a footprint, a boot-shaped depression in the gray moondust. Millions of people have seen pictures of it, and one day, years from now, lunar tourists will flock to the Sea of Tranquility to see it in person.

Will anyone notice, 100 feet away, something else Armstrong left behind? Ringed by footprints, sitting in the moondust, lies a 2-foot wide panel studded with 100 mirrors pointing at Earth: the "lunar laser ranging retroreflector array." Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong put it there on July 21, 1969, about an hour before the end of their final moonwalk. Thirty-five years later, it's the only Apollo science experiment still running.

University of Maryland physics professor Carroll Alley was the project's principal investigator during the Apollo years, and he follows its progress today. "Using these mirrors," explains Alley, "we can 'ping' the moon with laser pulses and measure the Earth-moon distance very precisely. This is a wonderful way to learn about the moon's orbit and to test theories of gravity."

Here's how it works: A laser pulse shoots out of a telescope on Earth, crosses the Earth-moon divide, and hits the array. Because the mirrors are "corner-cube reflectors," they send the pulse straight back where it came from. "It's like hitting a ball into the corner of a squash court," explains Alley. Back on Earth, telescopes intercept the returning pulse--"usually just a single photon," he marvels.

The round-trip travel time pinpoints the moon's distance with staggering precision: better than a few centimeters out of 385,000 km, typically..."
