NASA Confirms Falling Sea Levels For Two Years Amidst Media Blackout

Tyler Durden's picture

Authored by Mac Slavo via,

Most media outlets cannot be bothered to report something that dramatically deflates their narrative. So it goes without saying that when NASA confirmed that ocean levels have actually been falling for the past few years, the media would be more than silent.

As the global warming narrative quickly unravels, and leftists scramble to throw accusations at those who dare question the false data, the media brushes facts under the rug. Amidst revelations of scientific fraud, data alteration and faked “hockey stick” data models, the fake news media remains suspiciously silent over the fact that NASA now confirms ocean levels have been falling for nearly two years.

On a NASA page intended to spread climate alarmism (, NASA’s own data reveal that worldwide ocean levels have been falling for nearly two years, dropping from a variation of roughly 87.5mm to below 85mm.

This data clearly contradicts the false narrative of rapid, never-ending rising ocean levels that flood continents and drown cities. The narrative is climate alarmists key element of the climate change fear mongering fiction that’s used to scare gullible youth into making Al Gore rich.

Global warming alarmists might say this is only a “pause” in the rising ocean levels, and that the long-term trend is clearly in the direction of rising oceans. However, these people wildly exaggerate the degree of ocean level increases to the point of absurdity and have been caught red-handed completely fabricating data to continue scaring the public into supporting a non-issue.

Even in a worse case scenario, sea levels will rise only about a foot over the next 100 years. That amount is far short of what climate alarmists would need to create an apocalyptic event based solely on the weather.  Looking at current events right now, we’d say that Armageddon would more likely be created by a world war or a global economic collapse.

Even a warmer planet would be more hospitable to plants. But again, warmth as a benefit for plant life is not something climate alarmists want to hear. They need their backsides patted by the same lies.

ROFL, that's priceless.

The trend in that chart is CLEARLY from bottom left to top right. I'm not a global warming supporter, or even believer for that matter. But I sure as hell wouldn't draw any conclusion from that chart other than the trend is still VERY MUCH in place!

It's comical how both sides of this narrative continue to try and skew things.

And it's been that way since the end of the last Ice Age, about 10,000 years ago.

Look aside from any arguments about the reality of climate change this article is pretty lame taken on its own terms. We all know that in complex systems changes in a given direction may be steady and consistent over time, while during small time intervals there can be a lot of erratic movements.

This is normal in large systems such as the economy. For example on any given day of the month retail sales may be up or down. But one looks at the trend line at the end of the month, quarter and year to get a true sense of the system direction. It would be foolish to declare economic recovery simple becuase retail sales had a large jump on a single day. Likewise it would be equally foolish to declare a recession if sales dropped on a single day.

Sea level change occurs in an enormous system. This system can only be measured on a scale of decades and centuries. It seems very clear from the evidence provided in this article that the TREND LINE is significantly positive since at least 1995. A two year erratic movement does not invalidate the thesis that sea levels are rising. IF by 2020 this fallback is maintained then the argument will begin to have credibility. However, based on the evidence provided there is no good reason to doubt the trend line of rising sea levels. That's not alarmism, its simply science. But at the current rate of increase there is no pressing need to run for the inflatable duck just yet.

I did. One of my Chem professors(atmospheric chemistry) said if we don't do something within 10 years we are finished. He said, like a car speeding towards a brick wall, and everyone in the car is argueing about who gets the front seat. That was in 95. It's a bunch of bullshit. This particular prof was a PhD in chemistry. These people don't know what you think they know.

Father ¢hristmas's picture

Do you really think that, with a carbon tax and worldwide cap on fossil fuels fully implemented, the climate science prophets of doom would have hesitated to use this data, and completely ignored the long term trend?

Do you think they would not have propagandized this two year drop to advocate for a redoubling of carbon taxes along with a tax on homeowners with trees in their yards, and a yearly breathing tax, with a gubmint agency backed by the Hague that spends one week a year monitoring citizen's breathing patterns to better assess their fair share of their contributions to climate change?

Father ¢hristmas's picture

Sea lvls dropped?  Well, that is because Vice President Gore warned us in time to slightly reduce our carbon footprint.

That is why Vice President Gore purchased oceanfront property when he did.  His Professor Xavier-like telepathic connection with the entire universe gave him unique foresight into this very moment.

And now, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will be able to munch on organic kelp as they listen to Yanni during their daily beach house basketweaving/meditation sessions during the summer solstice-

Anyone actually believe this chart? Of course they'll pad it a little,,, they've wizened up a little,,, more credibility.

With the government lying about everything from economy to fertility rates why would this be any different?

No wonder they get away with so much shit,,, put it on a chart and it's gospel.

In a nutshell, the whole premise of GW is horse hockey. When governments tell me we're going to experience severe climate change and the only answer is tax it?  Or put tubes up a cows ass? Or we have to go nuclear for power,,, then build them beside oceans or on fault lines?

Fukushima is about to dump tons of radiated water into the pacific because they have no clue how to handle the problem. They cannot find the core. They don't know what they're going to do if they do find it.  This could affect the entire food chain, yet we're not told anything because we might panic.  Nooooo, it's because they know we'll string them up!

This entire GW/Climate carbon is bad narrative stinks to high heaven.

What I don't understand is, seeing as how the libtards and big oil men eat sushi off the same underaged hookers together at  the same symposiums and conventions, why are they not hysterically discussing this amongst themselves?

Why the fuck are they constantly pushing this shit on people who can barely afford to eat meat moar than three days a week?  We don't own any oil conglomerates, or automobile factories.

And if they think turning the tide of public opinion will touch the hearts of CEO's and get them to adopt some of these libtard policies, think again.

I have been actively organizing a union of millennial men with the express purpose of lobbying fat cat CEO's to pay us to sit at home doing drugs, eating pizza and root beer floats, and whacking off to xvideos all day, and man I'll tell you, those executives have hearts of stone.

JimJinNJ's picture

an odd chart to me--but don't know shit about it.  but Dr. Roy Spencer does:

When I read that, I (like everyone else) assumed that corrections to the satellite sea level data since 1993 have now led to a revised trend toward faster (not slower) sea level rise. Right?

During the satellite era (since 1993), the trend in sea level rise was revised downward, by almost 10%, from 3.28 mm/year to about 3.0 mm/year. (For those concerned about Miami going underwater, these numbers equate to a little more than one inch every 10 years). This result was published back in April in Geophysical Research Letters, and the new Nature study looks at the wiggles in the revised data since 1993 and makes ominous pronouncements about sea level rise “acceleration”.

I’m calling “fake science news” on the Nature reporter who covered the story. The headline was technically correct…but misleading. (I can also make up technically correct headlines: “Scientists Agree: Sea Levels are Rising, We are All Going to Die”)

Anthropogenic Global Warming is a massive fraud.

When wondering about anything going on the world one should always ask, "Cui Bono?", that is, who benefits? After asking that question one should follow the money.

Americans spend $400 BILLION every year for electricity. Prior to the AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) fraud, coal-fired power plants generated 60% of American electricity and natural gas 10%. As of today, coal provides only 31% and natural gas 34%. Natural gas is primarily owned by the major integrated oil & gas corporations.

Water vapor comprises 10,000 parts per million to 40,000 ppm of the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide makes up less than 400 ppm. A greenhouse works by preventing convection cooling with the outside atmosphere. How then could CO2 possibly be a "greenhouse gas" especially in such a low concentration versus water vapor?

The work of Dr. David Evans in Australia is important. He has produced a model based on the principals of the black box network used in electrical engineering. His work shows that there is a notch-delay function in the Earth's climate. His work also shows that CO2 probably has little to no effect on the Earth's climate.

The Vostok ice cores shows that Earth’s temperature begins increasing many centuries before CO2 concentration increases. When Earth’s temperature begins falling it takes many centuries before CO2 begins falling. This data shows that CO2 has little to no effect on climate.

The AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) fraud is a very lucrative business for the major integrated oil & gas corporations and the banks involved in carbon credit trading. The AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming) fraud is similar to the Ozone Hole fraud that was blamed on chlorofluorocarbons but really caused by Antarctica’s volcanic Mount Erberus.

There's no question that since 1850 the global temperature has warmed by almost 1C.

OMG, that's 167 years, during which there were several decades of cooling.

In another 100 years it may be almost 2C!

So what, the increase is just barley discernible, the human caused component is not even measurable.

Climate science is a very young science, filled with very inexperienced rent seeking climate scientists.

You don't have to be a climate scientist to interpret a graph such as this one: US Monthly Temps 1890-2012.

Geoengineering, Real and Imagined

August 15, 2015

Humans have been geoengineering since the dawn of agriculture. Plows turn living soil into lifeless dirt while releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This process is properly termed geoengineering, and it has clear implications for climate change.

We continue to geoengineer every time we fire up an internal-combustion engine. Or turn on the lights powered by a coal-fired power plant. Or put a plow into a cornfield. Or … well, you get the idea.

Geoengineering is real, and it has been going on since civilization began. For much of that time, humans have been ignorant about the consequences. Even the compound word is relatively new to the English language.

On the other hand, the type of geoengineering proposed by the nut-jobs well-intentioned, easily misled folks promulgating mythical chemtrails is imaginary. This approach has been discredited thoroughly in the scientific community — notable critiques based on reason can be found here, and here — but the conspiracy freaks continue to pound the drum of their collective imagination, rabidly avoiding the evidence in a manner reminiscent of the deniers of abrupt climate change. I’ve no doubt they’ll shy away from reading the evidence presented in this short essay because it is contrary to their favorite faith-based junk science.

“Look up in the sky,” they proclaim, as if condensation trails provide convincing evidence of members of the Dreaded New World Order spraying toxic chemicals into the atmosphere. Operating in an evidence-free zone, chemtrailers offer excellent examples of confirmation bias, even when the “confirmation” is illusory. For a seriously scientific explanation, the likes of which chemtrailers are not interested, read this article.

In a move surprising only to the true believers in the chemtrail myth, the only journal article supporting the notion was retracted shortly after its publication. Check it out here. On the other hand, a paper published in an August 2016 issue of Environmental Research Lettersfurther debunks the notion of a chemtrail conspiracy.

I don’t know which is worse: the chemtrail conspiracy crowd or the larger group that believes voting for the lesser of myriad evil candidates will lead to solutions for myriad insoluble predicaments. If you are contemplating The Donald, Jeb, Hillary, Bernie, or anybody else willing to take on the task of working for the big banks while allegedly promoting democratic ideals, your faith in a flawed system is unsupported by evidence (which, now that I think about it, is why it’s called faith).

Instead of voting for a substantive difference in this irredeemably corrupt system, one may as well go on the speaking circuit to profess the ills of the invisible, motive-challenged Illuminati trying to kill us. If they are trying to kill people, then they are failing miserably: The human population grows by more than 200,000 people each day. If anybody in a position of influence wants to kill people, war has worked stunningly well throughout human history. And the clueless followers who vote for the clueless “leaders” fall for war every time (conquest works, too, and is the tool of choice in America’s toolkit). The string of patriotism is easy to pull, and the groundless citizenry is yanked along for the ride of lies.

Initially, the chemtrail crowd claimed they — whomever “they” are — are trying to kill us by spraying toxic chemicals from airplanes. More recently, probably because of the abject and obvious stupidity of their former argument, the chemtrailers claim they — presumably the same mysterious “they” — are trying to keep us alive by blocking incoming solar radiation (skies are becoming brighter over time, probably because high-altitude ice particles from aircraft contrails scatter the incoming sunlight).

Actually, the arguments are so varied and ludicrous I can’t keep up with the latest excuse to blame others. HAARP is sometimes brought into the fray, apparently to double down on the conspiratorial “other” expressed with the use of the word “they.” And therein lies the heart of the issue.

Blaming others obviates responsibility. If the bad guys are spraying, regardless of their intent, then it’s not our my fault. Liberated from blame, we need not change a thing about how we live. If “they” are manipulating the weather and climate, we can keep living in the city and depending upon the services rendered therein. We can continue to promote the omnicide of civilization, sucking at the teat of empire. Why would we not?

We claim to be self-reliant. But take away the Nanny State and I doubt we’ll see many citizens taking care of themselves, much less each other. As a society, we traded in Edward Abbey’s anarchism-inspired version of the American Dream for a few extra dollars a long time ago. We continue to vote for patriarchy at our own expense (albeit with the attendant, unacknowledged privileges).

Yeah; I thought the oceans looked a little light. But, if we dropped California into the Pacific the levels might bounce back. What's more important?
