The Market is Lurching Closer and Closer to a Single Day Flash Crash

Phoenix Capital Research's picture

Whoever is rigging the market is getting increasingly desperate.

The daily VIX slams are getting more and more ridiculous. It’s getting to the point that the VIX is getting slammed 5%-6% every single day at 9:50AM  just to pin the S&P 500 (they’re not even trying to get a gain anymore).

Here’s the VIX.

Here’s the S&P 500’s last nine closes. The index is LITERALLY not being allowed to move. It’s now gyrating a point or two per day.

This level of extreme fixing indicates we’re much closer to the end of this rig than the beginning. The reality is that Central Banks can manipulate some asset classes all the time, but they CANNOT manipulate every asset class at the same time.

Eventually something is going to “break.” Whether it's Oil, the German DAX, or some other item, we're going to see the markets call the fixer's bluff. When this happens, whoever is fixing the S&P 500 will have to let it go.

When they do we're looking at a single day collapse similar to what happened in May 2010.

You've been warned.

NEVER.

As long as you morons keep living and breathing for the bankers' fiat dollar and cryptocurrencies,

NEVER.

The bankers will just print or create more fiat and buy bonds and stocks with it.  They can buy the entire stock market.

Who's gonna stop them?

What you gonna do about it?

Thought so.

YOU are the problem because YOU are what sustains the banker.

The banker is just a symptom.  YOU are the disease.

The skepticism of the posters here may be a firm indicator that you are correct Phoenix C.

*Yawn* I bought 8 rolls of mercury dimes this morning. Feel pretty good. Can't see waiting for a stock market crash. I will take what I have.

Bear case has been dead for over 8 years.  You prolly cost your subscribers serious coin.  Graham, maybe you should try selling a newsletter going long?

PS. Gimme a heads up if you do, if your long record is as good as your short record, I'm getting out the pool.  Kinda like Gartman, man that cat makes.me.money!

I intend to reach that wonderous level of transient disasociativeness tonight.

Perhaps today, therefore, may be the next flash crash?

But hey what do I know?

Kaleb's picture

The next flash crash could happen any moment from events, as yet, undefined or identified.  It has happened and could again.

But....

The next crash is most likely going to happen precisely when some very powerful and evil people decide and after they are perfectly positioned to transfer the maximum amount of your wealth/freedom from your account/life to their account/control.

It'll be bloody, brutal, and painful unless God intervenes.

And She won't.

Remember when the market crashed in 2008?  Remember Paulson darned near pulled his gun out in front of Congress when he was demanding $600 billion just to save the bankers asses?  This time around the debt structure is 3 times as bad and the bailout from the gov't won't be coming.  This time around it will crash because the bankers finally lost control.  And this time around the debt problems are so much worse than in 1929 that it's not even calculable.  I'm not making any prediction by pointing out those things... those are just the facts.

Isn't the REAL question:
"Is the average, uninformed, uncaring, doofus citizen on the dole... going to blink, or change his/her daily habits when this 'thing' happens?"

A. Boaty's picture

The next flash crash will have the same long term effect as the last one, i.e., zero.

Albertarocks's picture

The next crash won't be a flash.  It'll crash and stay there.  People are delusional if they think the bankers can print enough money to bail out the derivatives bombs out there, or the bond markets, let alone the stock markets.  Nope, once she breaks the bankers have lost control completely.  Having said that, it's not going to crash until they lose that control... which they inevitably will

When? ... that's the only question.

Considering this has been going on for at least 4 years, it could continue for several more.

The reality is that Central Banks can manipulate some asset classes all the time, but they CANNOT manipulate every asset class at the same time.

How much you want to bet on that?

Your right, Maybe not today, next week, or even next year, but the "market" and fiat will crash and burn one day and all the nay sayers will only need to be wrong for ONE DAY.

Give her as much torment and grief
as the glory and luxury she gave herself.
In her heart she boasts,
    ‘I sit enthroned as queen.
I am not a widow;[c]
    I will never mourn.’
Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her
