United Nations Issues Rare "Early Warning" - Signals Potential Civil Conflict In America

Tyler Durden's picture

A United Nations Committee tasked with combating racism on a global scale has issued an ultra rare "early warning" for the United States citing "alarming racism" trends.

As StockBoardAsset.com notes, this rare signal often preludes the potential for civil conflict.

In the past 10-years, the early warning has been issued in Burundi, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Kyrgyzstan and Nigeria.

The United Nations Committee on the Eliminations of Racial Discrimination has called on high-level politicians and public officials of the United States to condemn “racist hate speech and crimes in Charlottesville and through the country”.

Anastasia Crickley, Chairperson of UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) said:

We are alarmed by the racist demonstrations, with overtly racist slogans, chants and salutes by white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and the Ku Klux Klan, promoting white supremacy and inciting racial discrimination and hatred

As per UN News Centre:

In a decision issued under its ‘early warning and urgent action’ procedure, the Committee, which monitors implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, stated “there should be no place in the world for racist white supremacist ideas or any similar ideologies that reject the core human rights principles of human dignity and equality.”

In addition to the criminal investigation of the individual who ploughed his car into a crowd of peaceful protestors killing a woman, the UN experts asked the US authorities to undertake concrete measures “to address the root causes of the proliferation of such racist manifestations.”

Let’s take a moment to gain another perspective from Los Angeles Times writer Jesse Walker asks in an Op-EdAre we headed for a second civil war?

Not inconceivable? That’s a low bar. It’s certainly possible to imagine America returning to the violence of the 1960s and ’70s, and beneath the overwrought language, that’s what some - though not all - of these civil war prophets seem to have in mind. But a near-future war with two clear sides and Gettysburg-sized casualty counts is about as likely as a war with the moon.

These “new civil war” stories frequently take a bait-and-switch approach. They invoke the violence at demonstrations like the rally in Charlottesville, Va., last weekend, where a man reportedly sympathetic to Nazism drove his car into a crowd of counter-protesters, killing a woman. In the same breath, they discuss the broad divisions separating “red” America from “blue” America. If you flip quickly between small violent clashes and big political disagreements, those big disagreements will look bloodier.

Conclusion

It’s clear that the United States is being purposely divided. The United Nations is clearly playing into the hype of issuing an early warning that has only been issued for third world countries in the past 10-years. In our opinion, the continued division in America will only be achieved through more events such as Charlottesville that will polarize the sheep into the streets for slaughtering.

*  *  *

Finally we note that The United Nations dropped this little beauty in their progonstication...

CERD also called on the Government to ensure that the rights to freedom of expression, association and peaceful assembly are not exercised with the aim of destroying or denying the rights and freedoms of others, and also asked it to provide the necessary guarantees so that such rights are not misused to promote racist hate speech and racist crimes.

In other words - speech should be free... as long as it does not hurt my feelings.

Charles Hugh Smith's article a day or two ago really explains the root of our 'racism' problem. We do have a cultural divide, but it's not insurmountable. The elites have been using 'divide and conquer' for thousands of years. It works because it's a force that comes from the outside, from the elites, but seems as thought it comes from the inside, from the population.

If racial and ethnic harmony increased the wealth and power of the elites, does anyone think we would have these problems throughout history? Divide and conquer is a cheap and effective tool to make people fight for their own economic enslavement because they think they are fighting for a cause. The only thing they are really fighting for is the right to lick a rich man's boot. Just take a look at Steve Mnuchin's wife and think about it.

The cultural divide is rooted in history, but that history has been deepened and expanded by the elites in order to continue to divide and conquer. We had and still have the ability to lessen the divide thru common purpose. This is what Steve Bannon draws upon from Strauss & Howe's "4th Turning."

Economic populism is what the elites have always been afraid of. They are all too happy to replace it with 'social-populism' that aligns according to identity. This is why the Democratic Party is pushing for statues to come down. The GOP is the partner of the Democratic Party in all this. Don't think for a second that you have friends in Washington outside of select individuals.

Mathew McConaughey's "Free State of Jones" was about this very thing. The elites in the South and in the North use race and identity to keep us from building a saner country. When McConaughey's movie came out, Liberals in the New York Times accused the movie of being racist because it didn't portray blacks as victims in the manner that the Liberals want and need. The movie showed the irrationality of race as an organizing criteria when the real criteria was and still is economic. You don't have to give up your hate of Liberals by looking at things this way. I won't.

Watch the TV game show "Family Feud." It's almost always a black family against a white family, and the contestants and audience is almost always pure Red State. These contestants, black and white are excellent people. They are not hateful of each other because of race. Notice how they shake each other's hand at the beginning? Notice how they are happy for the opponent if the opponent is the winner? Nobody in their right mind can look at these people and say that they are the cause of the racial divide in America.

Building common ground is a process. It won't happen by sitting down and it definitely won't happen by kneeling and licking a rich man's boot.

Hopefully a new 'common sense' will one day take over, and Liberal and Conservative will be seen for what they are - costumes.

Anastasia Crickley is president of the UN Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD), the treaty body which monitors implementation of the ICERD. She was the first chairperson of the Fundamental Rights Agency and a chair of its predecessor, the European Monitoring Centre on Racism. She was a member of the Advisory Committee for the Council of Europe's Framework Convention for the protection of National Minorities and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chair-in-office on discrimination. She has been involved all her life in supporting and leading civil society efforts for a more just and equal world where human rights are upheld, and particularly the rights of women. She was a founder member of the European Network against Racism, has been active in supporting Traveller and Roma rights in Ireland, and elsewhere, and is chairperson of Pavee Point National Traveller and Roma Centre Ireland. Building on previous work with Irish emigrants she is a founder of the Migrants Rights Centre Ireland and of Global Migration Policy Associates. She is also the current chair of Community Work Ireland, the national association for promoting community development, and Vice-President of the International Association for Community Development. She believes that the Forum provides a key opportunity to articulate, discuss and get support for the fundamental rights. Without such support, creating a Europe where the human rights of all are acknowledged and realised, will not be possible. Never has this commitment been more important. As those who seek to deny rights get publicity our voices must be heard and our determination to deal with the complexities of creating an equal Europe and world must find practical steps in that direction.

You fucked up Europe already. Stay the fuck out of the USA. It's none of your goddamn business.

I belive the whites are cleverer than blacks, I also believe the Chinese are cleverer than whites.

So does that make me a white supremacist or maybe just a bit yellow?

You know what. I believe what I believe, and you can believe what you like.

The US is a basket case. Its politics is very similar to the mess in a lot of the world's poorest countries, where people from different groups can't get on.

The MSM likes to show stories of people who come to the US and say how different it is from the places they left, and how grateful they are for the opportunity. That's really wonderful for them. What the MSM doesn't say is how similar the US is to a lot of these countries. Instead, the MSM dumps on countries that have better health and education standards, better infrastructure, more stable government, more elected women politicians, better environmental standards, etc.

The numbers are grim. Educational and health standards put the US outside the top 40. Wasn't so long ago that only two countries in the world didn't back rights for children. The US. And Somalia. Somalia, folks. And that's because Somalia didn't have a government that could talk about the issue. Well done, Umrika.

When a country spends $600b+ on a permanent war machine; has interfered in 81 elections in other countries since 1945; spends more than 15% of GDP on a health industry and is full of fat, sick and poor people who can't afford care; still hasn't had truth or reconciliation over its genocidal and racist history; when slavery was replaced by Jim Crow and mass incarceration that South Africa used to model Apartheid; when its so-called capitalist market is actually a gigantic rigged heist; and when decent white people like everyone else get shafted by a corporate-feudal-algo machine and think black people are the problem; we ALL have a problem.

People around the world love the idea of America, love aspects of its culture, and like American people. Except for the large and growing number of people who've been on the wrong end of its drone attacks, and financial and economic squeeze. America still thinks it's No. 1 when it's actually No. 47 or, in the case of children's rights, No. 194. No suprise then that the world is quietly divesting itself of the dollar. Its use as a reserve has declined from 70% to 60% in the last 15 years. As this number slips further, watch the US' grip on the rest of the world continue to shrink.

Reality bites, and the faster people understand this, the quicker people can get over it and start to focus on fixing the mess. That won't happen with the racist, misogynistic, ignorant, paranoid ranting to be found in Zero Hedge comments.

The United States based their growth economy on the use of the cheapest labor - first slavery until 1865, then uneducated immigrants until the mid-1950s, Mexican Until now, the Chinese since the 80s and more widely Asian. All this is catching up with them. They are not yet out of segregation, they close the door to untrained immigrants, they return the mexicians to their homes, they are in economic war with China and they say no to the free trade agreement with the pacific countries . There is only one civil war to see the disunited states collapse. Trump is in the process of preparing them.

Slavery was/is a human reality.

Subsaharan Africa continues to use slaves on a wide scale.

Muslims own 90%+ of today's definitive slaves.

Look it up.

Despite America's horrible reputation BILLIONS dream of coming here.

Wonder why that is?

And who pays for this "disturbing " news....

According to the U.N.:

The USA contributes the most to the UN regular budget with 22%.

The Jew controlled media has an agenda, it ignores the huge amount of black on white crime that happens, but always plays up the rare white on black crimes. Black panthers and other Soros funded groups like BLM can say kill whites, Hispanic groups like La Raza say kill whites and take over, etc... But a white guy who is against that is a KKK racist. And of course the Jew controlled groups like the ACLU, SPLC, etc... also have agendas. They are always talking about white racists this and that, but never about what other groups are doing and saying. After 8 years of Obongo and demonizing whites for everything, whites are sick of it. And the JEW CONTROLLED media blames everything on them. The first problem to tackle when address the race problems in the USA? Go after the Jews behind everything!

hutnela's picture

I guess the UN should stop watching CNN. I think across the country people see more racism presented to them on the news than in real life. Since Trump started campaigning I have not met 1 white supremacist. Also I have very little white in my heritage... Most people think I'm Mexican but I'm Romani and native american mostly... But I was raised by white foster parents...

For a war you need two sides  (or more). One side is clear; tech and IT companies in California. The other side consists of energy companies  (are with Trump and want none of this CO2 bs). The dems and the reps seem to be both against Trump. Who else is on Trump's side? And I don't mean citizens, people don't count.

Keynes knew First World War reparations imposed on Germany would end badly.

The economically squeezed population eventually turned to the Nazis for a solution.

The West is creating that tinderbox of an economically squeezed population with stagnating wages, a rising cost of living, soaring house prices, off-shoring, job insecurity, austerity, etc .....

We are pushing things in a very dangerous direction.

In Greece we saw:

Harsh austerity + mass immigration + severe recession + mass youth unemployment = Golden Dawn

The same conditions are being set up in Italy and Spain.

There are lessons to be learnt from history.

Now you know why they want to import all these 3rd world "refugees" into the USA.

For the future war, those are the future soldiers.

The MSM will stir them up just like they're stirring the black folk up now.

They're doing it now with the Muslims and Mexis they already have here.

Pretty easy to see it coming when you think about it.
