Nikki Haley: "Something Serious Has To Happen... Enough Is Enough"

Tyler Durden's picture

While we are confident that both Trump and Kim would be delighted to just keep trading insults at each other for the indefinite future, even as North Korea launches the occasional ballistic missile, that time may be over. Speaking at the UN, the US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on Tuesday that North Korea’s launch of a missile over Japan was “absolutely unacceptable and irresponsible” and that the Security Council now needed to take serious action.

“No country should have missiles flying over them like those 130 million people in Japan. It’s unacceptable,” Haley told reporters. North Korea has “violated every single U.N. Security Council resolution that we’ve had and so I think something serious has to happen,” she added, quoted by Reuters.

Saying “enough is enough,” Haley said she hoped China and Russia would continue to work with the rest of the U.N. Security Council when it meets on Tuesday afternoon to discuss what more can be done about North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.

Of course, even if Russia and China do side with the rest of the Security Council as they did during the recent sanctions vote, it is unclear just what additional economic punishments and "harsh language" the UN can impose on the Kim regime to prevent him from doing what he has been merrily doing so far, oblivious of the consequences.

If you would quit knocking girls up, the need for gunshots at weddings would  stop

Wasn't my wedding and it wasn't shotguns, old skool muzzle loaders.

Given that we are enduring the flood of the century in America's 4th largest city, I say we postpone the "war thing" with North Korea for at least a couple of years.

It (North Korea) will still be there. So will we (America).

TBT or not TBT's picture

You don't think we had weather while we were simultaneously fighting the Japanese Empire and the Nazis?    How about didn't the Korean War of Vietnam War?   Katrina came and went during a war.   Whatever.

HardAssets's picture

You qualify to be a neo-con American general or admiral.

You do know that China said they would not allow a pre-emptive strike on the N. Koreans to take out the regime , don't you ?

radio man's picture

The longer we sit silent and confused, the easier target we become for many a player. Time to bloody the fatboy's face.

Honey-Badger's picture

Lil Kim knows that one shot, one attack against Japan, Guam, SK or the US and he is toast.

Why would he knowingly commit suicide?

radio man's picture

Because his jerbil size balls reside in China! A well placed face punch will get China's mind right too.

radio man's picture

Again, he believes China has his back. Screw that! China fears the sight of their own blood. They will allow Kim to pass quietly into history.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

Thats the most damned fool thing I've read this month.  You go first, Colonel keyboard.

radio man's picture

Are you trying to hurt my feelings? "Note to self"- Logic and feelings don't relate.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

You are a newbie here, probably a young teenage or twenty something kid. It disgusts me that ignorant keyboard cowboys sit behind your little computers and talk about war like its some kind of fucking video game.  Its not. I wish to god more of you had to serve. To actually feel your own goddamn heartbeat palpitate when you hear the whizz of a bullet pass by your fucking skull because if you heard it, you know you are still alive. I'd like to see more of you shit your pants when see the deadly, bloody, realities of war instead of making ignorant ass flippant remarks about something you know nothing about.  Keep pushing our government to do something stupid, you will get your wish. I can guarantee you of this one thing:  If we do have another war, your little candy-ass WILL serve. A draft will be the ONLY option. Because the next war, our all volunteer forces will be woefully inadequate. That means everybodys going to be invited to the party.

Give Me Some Truth's picture

From what i've read, north Korea always responds to large-scale American military exercises off its coast and borders with a few "missile tests." We provoke them. They provoke us. I think this is the "same old same old." We didn't go to war with them in the past over such theatrics, I don't know why we would HAVE to go to war with them now.

man from glad's picture

Not condoning it, but Trump is going to hit NK next year sometime. I firmly believe the decision is already made. Everything he now says is based at normalizing / rationalizing the decision across the globe.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

Not gonna happen.  Note: He's not that smart.

KnightsofNee's picture

He is not in charge.

Fixed it for ya.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

Thanks, and I hope you're wrong.

man from glad's picture

He isn't that smart. But he has the temperment to do it. it is all that matters. I hope you are right.

tradingdaze's picture

Of course. Wait until the NK blows up part of the USA.

Great strategy.

PS They also have poison gas.

Xredsx's picture

Have they ever retrieved anyone of these fired missiles and released photographic evidence to the public? Just wondering.

TBT or not TBT's picture

NK publishes them.   Radars track them.  Satellites detect their plume and track it.    The  two NK satellites they launched using ICBM class boosters are easily tracked and pass over us regularly.   Ocean's though, are a bitch to find missile detritus in.

Xredsx's picture

The US Navy would do all it can to retrieve them missiles and you know this to be true, it is what they do. And not long before the deepstate lost Syria. The msm used to tell us that all footage from N.Korea was fake and that everything the N.Koreans use to say was nothing less than propaganda..

TBT or not TBT's picture

Right and NASA collects all the satellites too.   Did you notice the Navy bonking into giant freighters lately?

Xredsx's picture

Did you notice that US politicians have lied about all their wars since 9/11 to gain public support? Why do you believe its different this time?

any_mouse's picture

Still might not be evidence. CIA could have ((Hollywood))) whip something up on a sound stage.

Nikki could hold up a shard at the UN and claim it was a piece of a DPRK missile illegally fired over Japan.

Perhaps there is a (((landlord))), with a landmark building(s) heavily insured against attack by missile somewhere, who would be willing to help the cause.

"Nikki Haley: "Something Serious Has To Happen... Enough Is Enough""

Yes indeed Nikki something serious needs to happen... Like your "bindi" ass being thrown from the top of the Freedom Tower in Manhattan in celebration for your crimes against humanity!!!

Let's make it an early Anniversary for all the harm that's already been done by Washinton D.C.!!!

Any volunteers?...

Last of the Middle Class's picture

If China is making the missle parts attack them. Sanction the hell out of them and bring jobs back to the US. Let all of our BLM, ANTIFA brothers deal the reality of a J-O-B.  That would be intersting.

Give Me Some Truth's picture

Re: That would be interesting

Your proposal might create some more manufacturing jobs in America. But it would also create several million corpses in America. So there's a trade-off.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

Stupid dickhead, if we attack China, your "job" will be the last thing you are worried about.  So many apes on this site.

jtmo3's picture

So, the million dollar question is, what do you do about it? Sanctions are worthless. China isn't going to stand by if NK hasn't really bombed someone. The list goes on. So what does anyone do at this point? I think little Kim does whatever the hell he wants short of actually bombing someone. It's a stalemate.

radio man's picture

Bullshit! No stalemate, for that's the establishment's narrative. Why? The establishment created this mess appeasing the Norks from Clinton, Bush 41&43 to Obama. Don't buy the defeatist progressive narrative. They created this mess and expect us to wollow in it. Launch Now!

TheNuclearGenie's picture

She is correct. WE cannot have this lunatic in charge of this corrupt and rogue regime anymore. I would advocate a limited nuclear war to solve the situation, just like Henry Kissinger did already in 1958. Wake up people! Tomorrow will soon be too late.

TabakLover's picture

Ok tough guy. Why don't you fly to Seoul and give us an on-the-ground report of how that goes down? Hmmmmm, no? Yeah, I thought not. Easy do be a tough guy putting other people's asses on-the-line.

TheNuclearGenie's picture

STFU. Enough words have been said already. Better to end this now before this madman gets a big pile of nukes that he can fire at will everywhere. Do you want the whole fucking world to blow up and end because we are unable to act? There need not be many casualties. The NK army is outdated and will probably last 2 days against a full force attack from USA + NATO.

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

Tabak, what we need here is a military draft.  This generation of dumb fucks in USSA didn't learn from Korean war, Vietnam or Iraq.  I could teach a few of the stupid with a good viewing of Platoon, Full metal jacket, or Hamburger Hill, but only a few can really put themselves in that situation and enjoy the full spectrum of horror by imagining themselves in that position.  Most will have to learn the hard way. As they say, some learn by watching, some learn by reading, and some have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Standard Disclaimer: At least South Korea brought us K-POP. what has North Korea done lately?

ReturnOfDaMac's picture

I can't tell, which leader are you talking about ?

Give Me Some Truth's picture

Okay, Nuclear Genie is on record that North Korea is going to start a nuclear war with the world's greatest nuclear super power ... as soon as tomorrow.

And: We better start said nuclear war first. Got it.

Something does need to happen Nikki, you and your boss need to STFU..

VIS MAIOR's picture

The US Air Force dropped over 32,000 tons of napalm during the Korean War of the early 1950s. A decade later, US President John F. Kennedy authorised the use of napalm in the war against Vietnam, in which dioxin was also employed – one of the most lethal carcinogens. Vietnamese continue to die today because of these past crimes, which are simply not discussed in mainstream dialogue.

The US was also in the lead when it came to biological warfare – Cuba being the primary victim here. Cuban crops were targeted for contamination as were its sugar exports, the country’s lifeline.

In the early 1970s the CIA introduced African swine flu into Cuba, deliberately targeting pork production, a staple of the Cuban diet. The nation’s entire pig population had to be put down. In 1981 a potent strain of dengue fever was planted into Cuba by the US. Almost 275,000 people were infected with the disease, causing 158 deaths, mostly children.

The devastating air strikes Western-led forces have unleashed on civilians across the world also seems to be a long-held principal. During the latter stages of World War II, the Allies deliberately fire-bombed German and Japanese cities and towns to inflict maximum casualties among civilians (major war crimes) – far outweighing the deaths inflicted by the Luftwaffe for instance. The worst was left till last when two atoms bombs were dropped on Japanese cities, causing tens of thousands of civilian deaths.
