Catastrophic Damage On Caribbean Islands As Seen From Space

Tyler Durden's picture

As the following "before and after" photos taken from the French Keraunos satellite show, the catastrophic damage on Barbuda can be seen from space with the entire island stripped of tropical foliage and left brown.

And here is a similar photo from space showing the mostly destroyed island of St. Marten

Next, a video of what Hurricane Jose looked like when the Intl. Space Station flew over it at 10:10am EDT this morning, and then over Hurricane Irma 90 minutes later.

Below is a clip showing the aftermath from Irma on the British Virgin Islands:

Then some aerial images of the massive traffic jam on the Florida Turnpike as people attempt to flee the Hurricane:

Finally, a photo showing all three concurrent hurricanes above the Atlantic as of this moment.

Record-Setting Hurricanes; Record-Setting Wildfires; Record temperatures; ya think it might be global warming?

So, why is the global rise in temperatures so worrisome?

For one thing, as temperatures rise good farmland will become desert (e.g., dust-bowl conditions will probably return to the American Midwest).

Another major problem is sea-level rise.

Have a look at

The U.S. Geological Survey people claim that;

The Greenland ice sheet melting will raise sea-level 6.55 meters (21.5 feet),
the West Antarctica ice sheet melting will raise sea-level 8.06 meters (26.4 feet),
the East Antarctica ice sheet melting will raise sea-level 64.8 meters (212.6 feet),
and all other ice melting will raise sea-level 0.91 meters (3 feet).

For a grand total of about 80 meters (263 feet).

So, what does an 80 meter (263 feet) rise in sea-level mean. Have a look at the following map of the world after an 80 meter rise. It means that over one billion people will have to be resettled to higher ground and that much of the most productive agricultural land will be under water. Fortunately, at current rates, the Greenland ice sheet will take over a thousand years to melt and the Antarctica ice sheet, much longer. However, the greater the temperature rise the faster the ice sheets will melt, bringing the problem much closer. Remember, the huge ice sheet that recently covered much of North America, almost completely melted in only 15,000 years (today, only the Greenland ice sheet, and some other small patches of it, remain). Since then (15,000 years ago), sea-levels have risen about 125 meters (410 feet), only 80 meters to go.

The ice sheets have been continuously melting for thousands of years. What is left of them today, is still melting, and will continue to melt. Human caused global warning will cause this remnant to melt significantly faster. This is a big, big, problem.

For HUGE detailed maps of the "World after the Melt" go to:

Global temperatures are increasing. And by quite a lot each year.

2016 is the hottest year on record for global temperatures.

This is 0.0380 degrees centigrade hotter than the previous record year which was 2015.

0.0380 is a large increase in just one year.

2015 was the hottest year (at that time) for global temperatures.

This was 0.1601 degrees hotter than the previous record year which was 2014.

0.1601 is an absolutely huge increase in just one year (at this rate temperatures would increase by 16 degrees in a century).

2014 was the hottest year (at that time) for global temperatures.

This was 0.0402 degrees hotter than the previous record year which was 2010.

The conspiracy to hide global warming data.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is given tax money to make global temperature records available to the public. However, certain people at NOAA continually sabotage this aspect of NOAA's mandate. For example, these people have (deliberately) sabotaged the web-page that delivers the temperature records.

Look for yourself:

Go to the page: scroll down to the The Global Anomalies and Index Data section and click the download button and see what happens. Well, you get the message:

"Not Found. The requested URL /monitoring-references/faq/anomalies-download was not found on this server."

I guess that the 2017 data must be truly horrible if they have to hide it away.

It turns out that this seems to be the case; NASA reports that:

July 2017 had the hottest average land temperatures on record.

The new July 2017 record was +1.20 degrees centigrade above the 20th century average (of the July data). The previous record average land temperature for July was just last year. It was +1.10 degrees above the 20th century average.

Did the media bother to tell you about this? No!

What about Dvaraka??? Now underwater.

How does anthropogenic global warming work with the city cited above and others like it?

Cultures lie teaching that all times are the same and the world is static.

To climate change I say NO SHIT. The climate has always been changing long before man and long after. News flash man is not the the beginning and end of the Cosmos.

And please stop pasting the same FUCKING SPAM in articles on ZH. It's fucking bullshit.

Fucking retard. Compare the amount of CO2 supposedly emitted into the atmosphere by human activity for a year to the amount of CO2 released by a single volcanic eruption, and get back to us after you learn that there are some 45 active volcanoes in the world at the moment.

And, for the record, CO2 is not a pollutant; it's necessary to sustain life on the planet, dumbshit.

I believe the appropriate term is climate change...not global warming. The climate is always changing. Always has been and always will be. Stop thing that humans have power over this planet. As you can see via the vids and pictures presented, nature can easily overpower humans. Should we clean up our act? Yeah...but don't drone on about global warming that's just stupidity wrapped in fear mongering. Now go find a solution outside of carbon credits and hybrid cars and stop preaching.

If it were me, I'd be heading Northbound in the Southbound lanes.  Why sit in that backlog?  At some point, there just ain't no rules.

Why don't they open up some or all the lanes on the other side so that everyone can get out more quickly or would that make too much sense?

Actually no.

Life is a completely random set of events you are forced to adapt to yet, there is something in man that tries to make order out of chaos.

Hurricanes don't care or feelz for you. Just like a rattlesnake doesn't so watch out for rattlesnakes & hurricanes as you move through your life.

And asteroids ;-)

1) rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
2) nobody gets out alive

Had a climate change "debate" with my wife. Proved my point.

"Why is all this happening?"

"Well, wifey, this shit has happened since the dawn of recorded fuckin time. Man should not build cities on former swamps in Texas or Peninsulas in the Gulf of Mehico. Why? Because they tend to be below sea level and get properly fucked in a Tropical Storm or Horrorcaine(TM). This isn't happening more, there are just more dumbasses and ways to record the stupidity."

I'd say eventual death is a pretty constant in life, well until you actually do die then it's a constant in death.

"order out of chaos" i believe that is the exact mantra of the Illuminati and their entire NWO gameplan

swmnguy's picture

Well, it does give us something to do.  If we weren't compelled to try to make sense of things that don't make sense, we wouldn't do much of anything ever.

Jeffersonian Liberal's picture

Mostly true.

But amid massive amounts and degrees of chaos, there is surprising order and stability.

We are on a ball app. 8K miles in diameter, 23K miles in circumference. We are spinning at app. 1000 mph. Our orbit around the sun is between 93 and 95 million miles, which we complete in one year, which means we are hurling through space between 200,000 and 300,000 mph.

While the earth is thus spinning and orbiting, it tilts on its axis such that, when the northern hemisphere tilts toward the sun, it has summer and the southern hemisphere has winter. When it tilts back, the seasons change.

This mere tilting results in a change of temperature anywhere from 60 to 115 degrees, depending on the location. Those who perpetuate the AGW fraud are screaming about app. a 1 degree Celsius change in temperature that they claim is global. Even if this were demonstrably provable (from complete and thorough temperature measurement which is impossible because of our lack of a saturation of all lands, atmospheres, and ocean measuring devices and a lack of a historic baseline to compare to), that change could be completely natural (either from solar activity and/or emerging from the little ice age). Don't forget, the medieval warm period was far warmer than what we are experiencing today (based upon 'their' measurements and claims), and that was long before the industrial revolution and Man's alleged contribution of the pollutants that 'they' claim cause global warming.

The tilting of the axis and change of seasons 'swirls' our winds and atmospheric moisture and precipitation making each year an unpredictable surprise of where the hot spots and cool spots will be, where the droughts and floods will be. Yet most areas remain within a fairly predictable range of temperature and moisture and much so that we have 'industrialized' our food production and delivery system to mitigate our basic food supply from swaying from one extreme to another.

So, yes, there is a lot of chaos in the cosmos, in the galaxy, on this planet (if you want to look for it and focus on that).

But there is a miraculous degree of order and stability, too.

Evacuation 101: ALL interstate traffic lanes are diverted to flow away from the Hurricane.

Proofreder's picture

Saw much the same after the eclipse totality tourists fled North,  but totally missed the effect of toll booths suddenly widening the freeway from two or three lanes to 6, 8, 10 lanes wide.

And all those lanes then merge back into two or three and that is absolutely stupid.  Especially if no tolls are being collected - a mad dash to improve positioning ensues.

There are two most effecient speeds on a freeway - 45mph for longer hauls between exits, and 20mph near exits and entrances to allow for spacing for entrants.

Of course there are always some who must travel near 85 and believe 6 feet between bumpers is adequate.  Always amazed when a tailgating pack zooms by near 100mph.

Thinking of those forced to spend the hurricane in their cars, out of gas, water, and hope.

Mazzy's picture

"Thinking of those forced to spend the hurricane in their cars, out of gas, water, and hope."

I'm not.  Really it all could've been prevented with just a tiny bit of planning and preparedness.

freeway throughput 102:

A 4 land freeway should be able to accomodate 100 cars per/minute traveling at freeway speeds (i'm just guessing at a number)

Once your throughput drops to 75 cars per/minutes you MUST STOP CARS FROM GETTING ONTO THE FREEWAY!!!   We do NO ONE any favors when the vehicle throughput drops to ZERO!!!

Why do we never learn this lesson?
