WATCH: Photographer Explains How 60 Minutes Made Steve Bannon Look Like “Bleary Eyed Drunk”

After Steve Bannon’s widely viewed interview with Charlie Rose on 60 Minutes Sunday night, professional photographer Peter Duke uploaded a video to YouTube explaining how CBS may have used color adjustments to make the former Trump advisor ‘look bad’ in the interview.

In the video’s description, Duke writes “It seems like 60 minutes would like you to listen less and look more at Steve Bannon. By subtly tweaking the color of the video, they make him look like a bleary-eyed drunk. I show you how they did it.”

Duke goes on to explain how CBS adjusted shots of Bannon to make his eyes and lips red by increasing saturation levels. One clue that photographic trickery was afoot is the difference in color between Bannon’s orange blinds when comparing shots of Charlie Rose and Bannon. Rose’s shots were noticeably ‘cooler,’ to make the host’s make-up more subtle.

CBS Responds

In response to Duke’s video, a representative for CBS curtly told decider.com “It’s nonsense.”

Duke, in response to CBS’s ‘Nonsense’ comment, told Gateway Pundit’s Josh Caplan that “All professional video production uses color correction in the editorial process. Minor tweaks can be done in all digital video editing tools, but the majors use Avid Media Composer or Davinci Resolve to add the final finish to the work.

In addition to my experience as a photographer and technologist, I spent 5 years of my career working as creative director at a post-house that produced marketing videos, electronic press kits, for every major studio in Hollywood.”

gosh, I wonder what this photographer could do with Wasserman-Schulz.

you need to a sustained Cat 5 just to tease the hair a bit; a miracle would not be enough.

Expat's picture

LOL.  Try to find a picture where Bannon does not look like a bleary-eyed drunk.  If CBS fiddled with the shot of Bannon, it didn't have to fiddle much.

shovelhead's picture

Ha!  As if you guys ever answer a question or provide rational commentary.

Haha. I'm sure the irony will escape you.

Expat's picture

yep, it has, but I think the problem is more likely to be on your end.  Care to elaborate?

Posa's picture

Bannon's defense of the American System was highly unusual... Only Lyndon Larouche and his old associates talk about the American System of Lincoln, Clay, carey etc... One of these guys, David Goldman, has been bragging about giving Bannon a Plan of Action just before he left the WH.

That was refreshing. A lot of the rest was unfocused ... while Bannon is right about a Protective Tariff trade relations wth China should be negotiated and a tariff phased in... Bannon is too eager top start a pointless trade war.

I saw this a few months ago.  Freaked me TFO.  Pelosi and her endless gaffes would be the perfect test subject for this in the political realm.  And then, as you said, it only gets worse from there.

J Jason Djfmam's picture

Photography in general makes Bannon look like a bleary-eyed drunk.

Posa's picture

Correct. It's no conspiracy in this case...  Bannon always looks like he crawled out of the Bowery ...

UmbilicalMosqueSweeper's picture

Steve Bannon = + 100; CFR/MSM cuck, Rose = -1000.

Megan Kelly did the same thing to Alex Jones with the camera angles tried to make he look sinister. That backfired however and Alex has way more viewers then Megan.

Thank goodness Americans are waking up to the pervasive Fake News and propganda.

I am prretty sure it is the same way they make a turd look like a turd or an iPhone.

No Escape's picture

fuck bannon and trump

Mustafa Kemal's picture

No Escape, what did you think of Bannon's interview?

I was impressed. Im now reaching out to my lefty friends to find out what they thought. Waiting.

Answer: "Nonsense"

Translation: "Yes, we did it"

slicktroutman's picture

Kind of like "the Russians did it", liberal leftist bullshit is everywhere. But did we expect anything different from 60 minutes?

Escapeclaws's picture

I have never liked that manwoman Charlie Rose.

LA_Goldbug's picture

My eyes were drawn to these details yesterday while watching the video. It was quite overdone. The extreme closeups showing his facial hair and makeup in hindsight did make him look like a drunk :-)

Charlie Rose on the other hand looks like a rose cheeked clown attempting to hide his true age.

CFR propaganda department at its best.

DEMIZEN's picture

fuck you charlie rose and fuck every minute I spent watching you on tv.

The globalists (which includes their cheerleaders like CBS and 60 Minutes) are terrified of Steve Bannon. They are truly scared that he might run or worse, enable someone else to run successfully, just like he did Donald Trump. They know he knows how to do it and he has a following that is growing day by day.

prymythirdeye's picture

Bannon's a Wall Street scumfuck that is definitely IN THE CLUB.  Bannon made a shit ton of money and in return is now playing a part.  He's an actor, no more, no less.  So what he's got views that seem different than the establishment.  Is he talking about ending the Fed? Is he talking about all wars being banker wars?  Is he exposing Wall Street for the criminal racket that it is?  You fuckers love a hero, but there are no heroes, period.

DarthVaderMentor's picture

Bannon's certainly not a hero. Bannon is a reluctant leader, the best kind. Bannon is just a smart average Joe who's fed up with the globalist elitist thinking in this country that's going to destroy us just like the elites destroyed Rome. He's no longer a drone attached to the collective borg and now savors his freedom.

He may need gym time and he may even be a drunk though I doubt it because he went straight to the best spokesperson the enemy has that would take him and easily logically outmaneuvered and out reasoned him. He absolutely destroyed Charlie Rose and tore his logic apart limb by limb. That takes a clear mind. His responses were quick, to the point, full of vigor and straight to the heart of the matter. He's not a babbling leftist cuckold like Rose, that's for sure. The difference BETWEEN THE DEVIANT ROSE AND THE STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, CLEAR THINKING SITTING UPRIGHT BANNON WAS VISIBLE, DESPITE THE ATTEMPT TO MAKE HIM LOOK TERRIBLE BY PLACING HIM IN A BAD LIGHT.

On the other hand, Bannon is real danger to the elites because he was one himself. The most dangerous enemy is one who was in your ranks of darkness and has seen the light.

messystateofaffairs's picture

Bannon will be plan B for those who can't stomach swamp stink any longer. Hope he runs, we've seen the monkey in action, it's the organ grinders turn.

Anteater's picture

So are you saying Bannon is NOT a bleary-eyed drunk?!

Everyone knows he's a bleary-eyed drunk, who seriously

needs some gym time. Andrew Breitbart was a bleary-

eyed drunk, and look what happened to him. Work out!

Has Bannon ever gotten any legislation passed? All he's

done is make Trump look like the lying Bozo he truly is.

Bannon needs a 12-step program, or he'll be Rodham II.

He'll start going goo-goo gah-gah when balloons drop.

Steve, boy. You're out. Jared won, you lost. Get over it!

Did Che give interviews with Charlie Rose? No, he went

off with the common people and lived with them in

their resistance to Deep State. Did Castro hang around

in the office of Batista and pretend to be his advisor?

No, he went off with the common people and lived with

them in their resistance to Deep State. Did Mao hang

out with the Emperor and pretend to speak for him?

No, he went off with the common people and lived with

them in their resistance to Deep State.  If Steve wants

to be a god-damn Populist, he has to lay off the sauce,

and get with the people of Houston or South Florida,

and maybe in 2018, he can lead a national insurgency.

I don't think he has it in him, but there's still 12-step.

shovelhead's picture

Haha. Lefties hold up some sterling examples for "the common people" to follow.

All noted for their tolerance for diversity.

Hata Mari's picture

Is Steve still hanging around the office of the President? No, he went off with the common people and lived with them in their resistance to Deep State.

The Alarmist's picture

If he's not a pedophile like the rest of the professional political and pundit class, he can hit as much sauce as he wants and still be OK with most of TX and FL.

DarthVaderMentor's picture

You are scared of Bannon, aren't you anteater? You know he knows how to destroy the globalist elitist collective borg and then the drones like you won't know what to do next.

gaoptimize's picture

He has hired a personal trainer and is rebooting his biome.  Look for a 20lbs lighter and more energetic Bannon in the coming months.

DEMIZEN's picture

breitbart was assasinated.

totenkopf88's picture

Have you ever met anybody from Houston or S FL? I'd rather hang out with my goldfish.

Trader200K's picture

So what is the point of an "interview" with the hostiles anyway?

Nobody watching Rose is going to change their minds.

STEVE, you know we need a National Freedom Party. People are ready to flock to it.

Lead man, lead. Don't waste time with the rest. Crush the Precinct Process coast to coast.

T

DarthVaderMentor's picture

The point of the interview was to tell the enemy: "I'm here and I'm coming for you!"

sarz's picture

How is Bannon going to lead a National Freedom Party? He won't ever talk about who you have to get free from. Even while addressing a seminar at the Vatican some years ago, he kept affirming his commitment to something he calls Judeo-Christian civilization. And he's never let up. It's like announcing, "Behold, the Lord has arisen, and he's stewing for eternity in boiling shit!"

slicktroutman's picture

I think his most interesting comment was something along the line "....after we won the election.....we had to staff the government......" suggesting they were not prepared to do so, or, like minded talent didn't exist to fill the cabinet and other positions. If that's the case the Deep State is much more formidable than they estimated. I like Bannon and what he says and stands for.

DarthVaderMentor's picture

He's pragmatic, shows off and admits his faults, and corrects himself. All the right characteristics of a good leader. He absolutely intellectually stunned Charlie Rose.

gregga777's picture

The point of the interview is to continue moving people away from their reliance on the Anglo-Zionist FAKE NEWS Media.

truthseeker47's picture

Considering Rose's attacks and interruptions, I thought Bannon did a much better job in the interview than I expected.  I have more respect for Bannon now, he tells the truth.

Juggernaut x2's picture

Charlie knows who signs his check.

scraping_by's picture

CBS pays a lot better than PBS, for sure. Selling the snob factor at a pretty good price.

peippe's picture

I was paying attention to Bannon's words & Rose's brow-beating holier-than-thou citation of

a bishop of a church with lots of problems. Decision: Bannon 29, Rose & CBS 0    tko.

DollarMenu's picture

No, it's Charlie Rose who's the drunk.

No amount of fiddling with the image can help Rose.

SixIsNinE's picture

Charlie has never been the same since he had that miracle heart surgery in 2006 (and apparently had some follow up work early this year)

he was about one of the very few people i used to try to listen to in the 1990s for "news"
