"Astonishing And Disturbing" Email Exposes Mueller Deputy As Anti-Trumper

Tyler Durden's picture

The rumblings that Special Counsel Mueller's Russia investigation is perilously compromised by political bias are about to grow a whole lot louder.

Just a couple of days after it was revealed that FBI veteran, Peter Strzok, was removed from Mueller's team due to the discovery of anti-Trump text messages exchanged with a colleague (whom he happened to be having an extra-marital affair with), and hours after the WSJ editorial board called for Mueller to step down for being "too conflicted", Judicial Watch has released emails obtained via FOIA that reveal another agent and a Mueller deputy, Andrew Weissmann, praising former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates' efforts to defy a direct order from President Trump on the enforcement of his travel ban executive order.

"I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects."

Andrew Weissmann

The email from Weissmann came exactly 1 hour after Yates was relieved of her duties with the Department of Justice by President Trump for refusing to enforce his travel ban executive order.  Here was our summary of the firing and the White House's official statement on Yates' dismissal:

That "mutiny" did not last long. At 9:16pm on Monday, President Trump announced the firing of the acting attorney general, Sally Yates, who defied him just three hours earlier on his migrant-travel ban urging the DOJ not to follow his executive order, saying she "has betrayed the Department of Justice."

Statement on the Appointment of Dana Boente as Acting Attorney General

The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.

It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.

Tonight, President Trump relieved Ms. Yates of her duties and subsequently named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as Acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is finally confirmed by the Senate, where he is being wrongly held up by Democrat senators for strictly political reasons.

"I am honored to serve President Trump in this role until Senator Sessions is confirmed. I will defend and enforce the laws of our country to ensure that our people and our nation are protected," said Dana Boente, Acting Attorney General.

Meanwhile, as we pointed out last summer (see: Does Mueller's Team's Democratic Bias Confirm Gingrich's "Time To Rethink" Warning?), Weissmann, to our complete 'shock', donated more than $4,000 to Obama's presidential campaign in 2008 and $2,000 to the DNC in 2006.  Of course, Weissmann was not alone in putting his hard-earned money behind Democratic candidates...as Heavy noted, there seems to be a pretty consistent theme to which party Mueller's agents seem to prefer...

Jeannie Rhee: donated $5,400 to Hillary Clinton in 2015 and 2016, according to FEC records. The records show she gave $2,500 each to Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund 2012 in 2011

Andrew Goldstein: According to Fox News, “Goldstein contributed a combined $3,300 to Obama’s campaigns in 2008 and 2012”

Greg Andres: FEC records show that Andres has donated at least $2,700 to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)

James Quarles: Donated thousands of dollars to the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. He has also donated money recently to other Democrats, including Friends of Chuck Schumer and two other Democrats. He has a lengthy donation history dating back years. He did donate to two Republicans over the years, however.

Elizabeth Prelogar: A former law clerk to Justics Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagen, gave $250 to Hillary Clinton in 2016, according to FEC records. She also gave $500 total to Obama for America and the Obama Victory Fund 2012.

Brandon Van Grack: gave small amounts to ActBlue, an effort to raise money for Democrats, and to a Democratic candidate for Congress in 2012. In 2008, he gave about $286 to Barack Obama.

Rush Atkinson: donated $200 to Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

Kyle Freeny: In 2012, Freeny gave $300 to Obama. In 2008, Freeny also gave $250 to Obama, FEC records show.

Finally, we leave you with Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton's assessment of this latest revelation:

“This is an astonishing and disturbing find. Andrew Weisman, a key prosecutor on Robert Mueller’s team, praised Obama DOJ holdover Sally Yates after she lawlessly thwarted President Trump.  How much more evidence do we need that the Mueller operation has been irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump partisans? Shut it down.”

Don't worry Mueller is certainly, defintely, maybe impartial.

FBI is infested with Clintons minions that Bush Jr kept in place, same or probaby worse with the DOJ, Bush Jr. Didn't clean house one bit (because they are one in the same) and neither did Obama. The DOJ was expanded big time during Clinton. The DOJ is loaded to the gills with Clinton people that go all the way back to Bill. Look at their donations and then look at the date the started working there. All about 20 years in and Senior level.

The Swamp is infested by Bill Clintons DOJ and FBI people, they are all senior level now.  Why do you think that Trump gave the lower level more autonomy a few months back.

There are only two kinds: Anti-Trump and Pro-Trump. Both are not qualified to investigate.

LOL.  Somebody designed a weasel-chucker that can get one up to 30k feet.

This shit needs to end.  Firing Mueller will cause a firestorm.  But if Mueller finds that Trump violated some arcane securities law 20 years ago and goes after him, that could cause a lead-storm.  The people who supported Trump throughout the election have real issues that need to be addressed, and eliminating Trump is an outright statement that these people do not matter to the establishment.  They'll burn the establishment to the ground when push comes to shove.

chestergimli's picture

Let the firestorm come. Enough of this piddling around.

If this is true it's a big deal. But... "There has been a reported falling out" ain't exactly concrete evidence.

I do like the picture of Comey standing in the cornfield... where they built the alien base full of black goo and nanodrones.

From the Gateway Pundit:

A READER WHO IS A FORMER PROSECUTOR AND JUDGE EMAILS:

Did the prosecution tell Flynn’s lawyer that their main witness against him was removed for bias? Since Strzok led the interview and his testimony would be needed to establish untruthfulness, he is a critical witness not just a prosecutor. If not disclosed, would this not be a Giglio violation? This is the kind of misconduct that can get a case dismissed and a lawyer disbarred. It is a Constitutional violation. This has bothered me since I heard about it.

The minimum requirement to be found guilty of mishandling of States Secrets is Gross Negligence. It’s why Criminals at Large Comey, Muellar &
Strzok changed the language in their report.

An earlier draft included tougher language describing Clinton as “grossly negligent.” Comey then used a softer tone, saying Clinton was “extremely careless” in her use of private emails. According to federal law, “gross negligence” in handling the nation’s intelligence is a felony.

“If the government puts into your hand for safe keeping [the] state’s secrets and you failed to keep them safe by intentionally exposing them or grossly negligently exposing them, you can be prosecuted,” Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano said during an interview with FOX Business’ Stuart Varney.

this isn't quite what the meaning of is is, but it is pretty close.  hillary clinton's misdeeds are as the grass on the prairie; she needs several free ranging grand juries, at least one, maybe two, dedicated solely to the murders she is accused of.  no statute of limitations, no ambiguity about whether the crime is reprehensible.

get her.

This is ridiculous!
Why doesn’t Trump simply start firing hundreds of Obama-Clinton people and get it over in a couple weeks?

How much evidence against Hitlary and the Clinton Crime Family did Mueller and the FBI destroy?

I think Trump is going for the Grand Slam rather than a solo home run.

i think you may be right.  he comes from entertainment, in part, and knows how to work an audience.  don't want them to get too far behind or ahead of you.  there is still much education to be done and this long, slow back and forth with mueller, whether professional wrestling or actually fighting for his office, possibly his freedom and fortune (from a strong position, with truth mostly on his side), should be shearing some eye wool off of a serious number of sheeple.

Grumbleduke's picture

don't hold your breath.

Public schools still are producing enough idiots for the slaughter. Hellywood and the msm still rake in millions with stupid shit.

Most sheeple see headlines, and make a Homer - "booooring". They don't bother to dig into something that "booooring". It's easier to be outraged at ball players who take a knee...

nice work.  again.

and once more, i am so glad this is mueller.

he keeps poking at the swamp creatures with that deadly sharp stick he was given, maybe one of them will hiss back at him something like "you weren't so straight and narrow after those wtc workers had to splash themselves onto the sidewalks."

Andrew Weissmann.

Now here is the one of the biggest pieces of shit to EVER pass himself off as an officer of the court, you will probably never find another (prosecutor or otherwise) as morally bankrupt and ethically incompetent.

I mean, getting overturned 9-0 before the Supreme Court really takes a Herculean effort in spreading dog poo all over himself thats for damned sure...LMAO!!!

RumpleShitzkin's picture

And there’s that Jew thing too.
Total coincidence. Always.

Yeah, I was just telling Mrs.N about that and I got the blank stare of...

"Just WTF are you talking about?"

...thrown across the table at me...lol...its definitely getting pretty hard to ignore all the leftwing jooos getting popped, outed and thrown out of the marbled DC synagogue, so just to extend the jooo conspiracy a little bit further and create some "real chaos"...maybe its the rightwing jooos that are behind it!

They're sneaky like that ya know ;-)

Keyser's picture

I'm sure the 10,000 people fired from Arthur Anderson hold no judge against Weissman for his tactics and methods... Yeah, right, if you beieve that then I've a got a nice bridge for sale, cheap...

I finally have her convinced of America not needing to provide the European Union of Socialist States with military protection as they are all big bois & girlz now...lol...its always been baby steps regarding global affairs and its interlocking parts, she's more interested in the domestic side...as we all are or should be I suppose.

One thing about diplomats, they always like to over complicate matters, it keeps them in a job ;-)

Morally bankrupt for sure, and with that statement, absolutely trying to get into yates panties.

Okienomics's picture

Strong words, but I think the deep state is expecting grumbling and no more.  You really think they're wrong and there will be more then just bitching and moaning?

El Vaquero's picture

If you want to go through the ZH archives, there are plenty of indicators that we haven't been this politically divided since, oh, about the late 1850s.  I know I'm pissed about the trajectory of the country, and I'm not worried about losing my house, car, etc...  The GINI index has been climbing since the late '60s and we have insurmountable debt problems.  Basically, a lot of people have been promised a lot of shit that they're not going to get.

jeff montanye's picture

in some ways the political division, as you describe, absolutely baffles me.  the most egregiious sins of the obama/clinton (shall we say) administration are congruent with those of the bush administration: cover up 9-11, protect the mossad and the sayanim; never prosecute the banksters that ran the greatest control fraud in history and backed the truck up to the u.s. treasury and shoveled it in with a front end loader; started and lost multiple wars for the likud/ mossad zionists as per the yinon plan with a little extemporizing to take advantage of events and the passage of time.

so the democrats can hate the deep state in the personification of bush/cheney/rumsfeld and the republicans can hate it for obama, clinton, nuland and holder.

why can't we be friends?  or at least friends of convenience.

Grumbleduke's picture

some people are immune to facts. They're racist, didn't you get the memo?

Everybody's rooting for their "team", whilst getting fucked.

El Vaquero's picture

It was inevetable with a two party system and multiculturalism.  While Obama doubled down on Bush Jr's policies in many instances, the rhetoric was vastly different. The politicians and parties have traditionally fought over who gets what cut of the lobbyist benefits.  They did that by appealing to divides in a population that often cannot tell the difference between a fact and an opinion, much less sniff out propaganda. Somehow, Obamabombs are more cute and cuddly than Bushbombs, I guess.

Seems that '95 film "Die Hard with a Vengeance" was them projecting their future crime...  (Re: "backed the truck up"...)
