"Astonishing And Disturbing" Email Exposes Mueller Deputy As Anti-Trumper

Tyler Durden's picture

The rumblings that Special Counsel Mueller's Russia investigation is perilously compromised by political bias are about to grow a whole lot louder.

Just a couple of days after it was revealed that FBI veteran, Peter Strzok, was removed from Mueller's team due to the discovery of anti-Trump text messages exchanged with a colleague (whom he happened to be having an extra-marital affair with), and hours after the WSJ editorial board called for Mueller to step down for being "too conflicted", Judicial Watch has released emails obtained via FOIA that reveal another agent and a Mueller deputy, Andrew Weissmann, praising former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates' efforts to defy a direct order from President Trump on the enforcement of his travel ban executive order.

"I am so proud. And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects."

Andrew Weissmann

The email from Weissmann came exactly 1 hour after Yates was relieved of her duties with the Department of Justice by President Trump for refusing to enforce his travel ban executive order.  Here was our summary of the firing and the White House's official statement on Yates' dismissal:

That "mutiny" did not last long. At 9:16pm on Monday, President Trump announced the firing of the acting attorney general, Sally Yates, who defied him just three hours earlier on his migrant-travel ban urging the DOJ not to follow his executive order, saying she "has betrayed the Department of Justice."

Statement on the Appointment of Dana Boente as Acting Attorney General

The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.

It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.

Tonight, President Trump relieved Ms. Yates of her duties and subsequently named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as Acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is finally confirmed by the Senate, where he is being wrongly held up by Democrat senators for strictly political reasons.

"I am honored to serve President Trump in this role until Senator Sessions is confirmed. I will defend and enforce the laws of our country to ensure that our people and our nation are protected," said Dana Boente, Acting Attorney General.

Meanwhile, as we pointed out last summer (see: Does Mueller's Team's Democratic Bias Confirm Gingrich's "Time To Rethink" Warning?), Weissmann, to our complete 'shock', donated more than $4,000 to Obama's presidential campaign in 2008 and $2,000 to the DNC in 2006.  Of course, Weissmann was not alone in putting his hard-earned money behind Democratic candidates...as Heavy noted, there seems to be a pretty consistent theme to which party Mueller's agents seem to prefer...

Jeannie Rhee: donated $5,400 to Hillary Clinton in 2015 and 2016, according to FEC records. The records show she gave $2,500 each to Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund 2012 in 2011

Andrew Goldstein: According to Fox News, “Goldstein contributed a combined $3,300 to Obama’s campaigns in 2008 and 2012”

Greg Andres: FEC records show that Andres has donated at least $2,700 to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)

James Quarles: Donated thousands of dollars to the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. He has also donated money recently to other Democrats, including Friends of Chuck Schumer and two other Democrats. He has a lengthy donation history dating back years. He did donate to two Republicans over the years, however.

Elizabeth Prelogar: A former law clerk to Justics Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagen, gave $250 to Hillary Clinton in 2016, according to FEC records. She also gave $500 total to Obama for America and the Obama Victory Fund 2012.

Brandon Van Grack: gave small amounts to ActBlue, an effort to raise money for Democrats, and to a Democratic candidate for Congress in 2012. In 2008, he gave about $286 to Barack Obama.

Rush Atkinson: donated $200 to Clinton’s campaign in 2016.

Kyle Freeny: In 2012, Freeny gave $300 to Obama. In 2008, Freeny also gave $250 to Obama, FEC records show.

Finally, we leave you with Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton's assessment of this latest revelation:

“This is an astonishing and disturbing find. Andrew Weisman, a key prosecutor on Robert Mueller’s team, praised Obama DOJ holdover Sally Yates after she lawlessly thwarted President Trump.  How much more evidence do we need that the Mueller operation has been irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump partisans? Shut it down.”

The supreme court does not agree with Andrew Weissman and Sally Yates, and ruled on the constitutionality of the Trump travel ban with a 7-2 vote.

It seems now that Flynn had to go through the motions of the plea deal, and remove himself from harm's way, before the rollout of the counteroffensive could begin.  Flynn has little value for Mueller now as a hostage.  Manafort and Gates have to endure the heat being turned up on them, while at the same time Mueller and his team are starting to look like victims of a flesh eating virus.

Strzok had a mistress, so he was blackmail-able.

Normally, marital infidelity would disqualify somebody from getting a high level security clearance, so certainly it should disqualify somebody from sitting on an investigation with ostensibly top level national security concerns (i.e. determining whether a foreign state interfered with our election.)

If Mueller genuinely believed there was any possibility at all of Russian interference, what steps did he take to ensure Strzok wasn't being blackmailed?

If none, and Strzok was nevertheless retained on the investigation, it suggests either: (a) Mueller is himself colluding with Russians, or (b) Mueller understands this investigation to actually just be a piece of empty political theater, without any genuine national security implications.

If you're ever under investigation don't expect the police the courts, the prosecution to be on your side. They are not. I know that is a difficult concept for the average fractional IQ Trump voting snowflake moron to grasp, but just get over it. now back to the sound of Trumptards crying. They sound so much like libtards crying over Hillary's failure to steal the election.

Time for the Great Orange Don, Master of Distraction:

A few bus bombings and the media will bury Mueller.

Careful Herr Mueller, the impeachment train is going way too fast for some of these curves in the tracks that are the deep state "truths" leaking out.

Mueller politically biased?......

Hillary commits crimes, that all can see, and gets a free Mueller pass.......

Then Trump just gets elected president with an "R" by his name, which in the marxocrat world is considered high crimes and misdemeaners, and must be prosecuted with an all Hillary appointed prosecution team.......

Its only fair........

Mueller is out of bounds and into the weeds and clearly on a witch hunt. It is clear that collusion or obstruction is not on Mueller's mission because they do not exist. He is after impeachment by investigating President Trumps prior business transactions and family. This should be off limits. Jeff Sessions did not recuse himself from preventing this witch hunt and with Mueller and Rosenstein compromised with their cover up in the Uranium One criminal corruption, he needs to bring a halt to this political witch hunt. Jeff Sessions needs to step up and fire Mueller, McCabe, and Rosenstein. Sessions needs to hire a independent Special Prosecutor with subpoena power to investigate the phony Russian dossier, Unmasking, Uranium One, Hillary email, Clinton money laundering Foundation, Mueller, Comey, McCabe, Rosenstein, FBI, Holder, Lynch, Schultz, and Obama. Chris Christy would be a good and qualified man for the job.
