America Under Attack: Pictures Of Assault On US Consulate In Libya

Tyler Durden's picture

It has been a long time since US territory abroad, i.e., a US embassy, was openly attacked. It has been even longer, or about 33 years, since a US ambassador was last killed in the line of duty in 1979 Afghanistan. Both happened last night. Below, courtesy of Reuters, are pictures of the event.

Really?

Looks to me like the ambassador was beaten to death, no gunshot or knife wounds on either of the photos i saw, just lots of bruising.

Edit:

The US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, has died from smoke inhalation in an attack on the US consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, the country's interior ministry and security sources have said.

If you're referring to the photos from the link that easterner posted, it looked like smoke residue to me, not bruising.  If he had been beaten to death, there would have been a huge amount of swelling and I didn't see that.

Well now!  Isn't the timing of this oh so convenient.  The Israelis have been trying to get the US into a war with Iran for quite some.  I've been waiting for them to do something late in an election year to force a president's hand and this is apparently it, a geopolitical sucker punch.  You see, this is not about Syria, it's all about Iran:

The Great Game: Regime Change in Syria  (September 6, 2012)

http://www.oftwominds.com/blogsept12/great-game9-12.html

And here's how they incited this:

What We Know About the Movie That Sent Egyptians Storming the U.S. Embassy

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/global/2012/09/what-we-know-about-movie-s...

"It's not completely clear which film sparked the protest (an early CNN report cited a Dutch movie) but most reports attribute the outrage to a film promoted by U.S. pastor Terry Jones, that guy who inflamed Muslims around the world in 2010 by threatening to burn a Koran, and produced by Israeli-American real-estate developer Sam Bacile, who said he financed it with $5 million from 100 Jewish donors."

So, you can either allow yourself to be played like a violin and be an armchair general screaming for war like an idiot or you can realize you are being manipulated

Unfortunately, what you and I think most likely won't matter because this will probably be played to the hilt by the Republicans if Obama doesn't respond militarily in some way and Obama might think that if he doesn't respond in that way the majority idiots of this nation won't reelect him.  Of course, I'm neither an Obama nor a Mittens supporter as I don't vote for corporate shill A or B, but I hate seeing a nation of ignorant sheep being manipulated so easily, not that I didn't expect it.

Edit: And here it is!

Republicans Race to Criticize Obama in Wake of Attacks on U.S.

http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2012/09/republicans-race-critici...

Hey, it's bad enough that we elect people who profess to believe the following:

"the inventor of the laws of physics and programmer of the DNA code decided to enter the uterus of a Jewish virgin, got himself born, then deliberately had himself tortured and executed because he couldn’t think of a better way to forgive the theft of an apple, committed at the instigation of a talking snake. As creator of the majestically expanding universe, he not only understands relativistic gravity and quantum mechanics but actually designed them. Yet what he really cares about is “sin,” abortion, how often you go to church, and whether gay people should marry."

Now, we'll have either a war or a prez who belives in that along with some additional nuttiness sprinkled on top which is brought in from more modern times instead of from the bronze age when they thought the world was flat and that the sun revolved around the Earth.  Oh boy, we are having fun now!  Time for some popcorn!

The Vatican news agency confirmed that in Tripoli alone, at least 40 civilians died as a result of the initial bombing campaign. According to the Libyan Health office, the airstrikes killed 1,108 civilians and wounded 4,500 by July 13. It is now believed that more then 3000 civilians including many children were killed in the so called "Liberation" of Libya. It is also believed that an additional 8000+ civilians were wounded, many with serious dismembering injuries. Can you believe that there are people out there that actually think this is funny?

The fact is that we tend to provocate action. We will send in one cruise missile or drone strike on completely innocent people and then after the first strike, when people are looking for survivors and treating the wounded we hit it with a second strike in the exact same place so that the people who are left get angry with us.

My guess is that pretty much everyone around the world would like nothing better than the evil western governments, the evil banking cartel and whomever is their master to just leave them alone. But those evil people do not seem to be able to do that. They are doing their best to create enemies around the world ... and to goad them into what would be evil acts.

Personally, I believe that the grass-roots level evil is losing because almost the entire planet will not play along with evil's game. They know to fight evil with evil is evil.

"Collateral damage" is bullshit euphemism for "dead innocents."

The thousands of people who died in the original 9/11 attacks are "collateral damage" too, if the attackers were trying to destroy the US power regime.

Looks like it worked.  Eleven years later, and I'd say it completely destroyed the US government.  There's no sign of recovery, and no one really wants to hear about it anymore.

Free choice to be good or evil is within all of us. We are not inherently evil. Each of us has the power to choose ... and in my view, must choose. And, yes, it does appear that evil has control of the planet and it is a slippery slope to fight evil with their own tactics... it is most likely evil.

Let me add...

The overthrow of Khadaffi (who was starting to work more with the west) was premeditated to supposedly stop a "future percieved massacre" that never occured...

Witness Syria - and the silence of Barack Hussein Obama, as another established government gets destabilized and massacres do indeed occur.

Witness Egypt - years of USA money and efforts and a stable government thrown into chaos.

Witness the "Mob Rule" that Brack Hussein Obama considers to be democracy....

Wake up people - If we had a million people descend on Washington tommorrow and demand this muslim step down - would he state that the people have spoken? If Putin and the Chinese would state that the people have spoken - would Barack Hussein Obama give in to the "Mob Rule" and step down.

Chicago polotics my ass.. this is anarchy...

May be odd, but at least we are consistent. Destabilizing and destroying prosperous, successful foreign countries is a cornerstone of our foreign policy. Neocon Michael Leddeen called it "creative destruction." In order to create a new world order as they envision it you must tear down and destroy so that from the ashes, a new society can be reborn. Another very smart and successful man-Joseph Stalin   -said it another way  -"If you want to make an omellette, sometime you have to break a few eggs." Stalin broke about 40 million eggs  -his own people. No wonder France and England were so eager to declare war on Germany when Hitler invaded to liberate the German Gdansk and overlook Stlain's invastion of Poland from the east and subsequent execution of 13,000 Polish Officers at Katyn Forest- You always want to ally with a guy who plays to win. Stalin played to win  -a real winner  -just the kind of leader that we want to side with   -and who the Trotskyite Noecons now seek to emulate so much.

Save me the "I should move" speech im one of the most patriotic people around, as far as im concerned if you support the US gov't you are a terrorist and you're the worthless POS that needs to pack their shit and get the fuck out. A  Baghdad-born Israeli rabbi, who in the past has likened Palestinians to snakes and described non-Jews as “born only to serve us,” has called for prayers for Iran’s destruction.

The Global Research article published September 9, 2012, says Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, a former Israeli chief rabbi and the spiritual leader of the ultra-Orthodox Shas Party and a key member of Netanyahu’s governing coalition, was quoted as saying by Israeli media on Sunday, “[When] we ask God to ‘bring an end to our enemies’, we should be thinking about Iran, those evil ones who threaten Israel. May the Lord destroy them.”

GR reports: “Yosef issued his call in a sermon late on Saturday in which he said Iran should be included in a traditional Jewish New Year blessing next month over food in which God is asked to strike down Israel’s enemies.”

From Speogel Online

local police said were "presumably of Arab heritage."

Berlin officials and members of the city's Jewish community have expressed outrage after a 53-year-old rabbi was attacked in Berlin Tuesday evening as he was walking down the street with his six-year-old daughter.

The rabbi, who was wearing a yarmulke at the time, was reportedly approached by a young man who asked if he was Jewish. He then was beaten by the young man and three other accomplices, who local police said were "presumably of Arab heritage." The attackers also reportedly threatened to kill the rabbi's daughter. The rabbi suffered head injuries and was treated at a hospital for a broken cheekbone.

Blame and kill the Jews...? Have you counted the dead in Israel's push for WWIII? Add up the millions of dead from the USA, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Palestine, Pakistan, Lebanon... And then add up the handful of dead Israelis. Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi is trying to negotiate peace in the Middle East. Israel is negotiating war.

Palestinians are described by the Israelis (and the Americans) as terrorists because they oppose actions of the Israeli state. The Israelis are not described as terrorists because their actions are state actions; no explanation here as to why the Israelis do not allow the Palestinans to bcome a state. IOW, killing with US and Israeli gunships is defensive military action but when non-state "militarists" attack back, those are terrorists actions.

Daniel Bernard, France’s former ambassador to Britain, was overheard telling guests at a cocktail party in 2001, the world’s problems are all the fault of "that shitty little country, Israel." Why, he wondered, "should the world be in danger of World War III because of those people.”

There are three aggressive forces at work in the Middle East:

There’s the American Empire with its CIA probes and paid toadies acting as national leaders and with the most advanced military the world has ever seen.

Two, there’s the no-compromise, death-before-dishonor sworn enemy of infidels, the nation of Islam.

Three, there is the ever suspicious, ever treacherous, ever expansionist, use-every-friend-as-a- weapon, Israel.

To appraise the three, the Zionist modus operandi is to use every despicable lie in its characterization of the one enemy it cannot co-op, Islam

Painting Islam with these extremes as you do with a few anecdotal instances, and using them against a large historic organization like the Muslin Brotherhood is Zionist technique. The Zionists take an incident, make it extreme and repeat it over and over. They are fanatics. And it is the Zionist line that you are carrying; it is the voice of Sean Hannity, the voice of the American neo-cons that have erected an enemy each time to get millions killed, as they did in Iraq, to justify their claims, their positions, their terrorism. It’s propaganda to inflame and justify killing en masse as the Israelis move relentlessly toward ME territorial and resource expansion.

The Islamic people are in earnest; they will not compromise with the Jews. As for der Spiegel, it is an irredeemable clone of Time Magazine.

Winston Churchill's warning about Islam:

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

The Empire’s newest warriors, the United States Marine pilots flying at 1500 feet out of reach of ME air defenses that they have neutralized with high tech electronic equipment, sort of reminds one of the young British officer Winston Churchill of the 21st Lancers in 1898 on horseback, attacking and firing his pistol into the faces of the North African Arabs running  forward on foot and armed only with their swords.

Wrote the brave young Winston:  “ I rode up to the individuals firing my pistol in their faces and killing several – three for certain – two doubtful – one very doubtful.”

Kinda gives new meaning to the phrase: “Home of the Brave.”

To the philosophy of why don’t we all just get along, Winston Churchill’s frank appraisal seems to fit here.

“And it may well be that this same astounding race may at the present time be in the actual process of producing another system of morals and philosophy, as malevolent as Christianity was benevolent, which, if not arrested would shatter irretrievably all that Christianity has rendered possible. It would almost seem as if the gospel of Christ and the gospel of Antichrist were destined to originate among the same people; and that this mystic and mysterious race had been chosen for the supreme manifestations, both of the divine and the diabolical.”

Wonder what ol' Winston was trying to say?

He reminds me with the "hydrophobia in a dog" thing, though: anybody know where I can get a copy of that "Moderate Koran" that the "moderate Muslims" follow and live by? Seems like every last one of the copies of the Koran I can find mandates all manner of murder and mayhem. I just know there's got to be a "moderate" version out there somewhere. Otherwise, how'd we get all these "moderate Muslims" that I hear so much about?

It’s a long search and I’ve been searching for the "moderate" version of the Talmud. And by that, I don’t mean a whitewashed version sold in Costco.

Is this the product of rational minds?

"If we kill a gentile who has has violated one of the Seven Commandments… there is nothing wrong with the murder... There is justification for killing [non-Jewish] babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately..." -- Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira

Sanhedrin 57a . When a Jew murders a gentile ("Cuthean"), there will be no death penalty. What a Jew steals from a gentile he may keep.

Baba Kamma 37b. The gentiles are outside the protection of the law and God has "exposed their money to Israel."

As for the Torah, a "pantheon of Israel's top fundamentalist [Talmudic] Rabbis flaunted their political power during an ad hoc congress they convened at Jerusalem's Ramada Renaissance hotel. Before an audience of 250 supporters including the far-right Israeli Knesset member Michael Ben-Ari, the rabbis declared in the name of the Holy Torah that they would not submit to any attempt by the government to regulate their political activities -- even and especially if those activities included inciting terrorist attacks against non-Jews.  -- Max Blumenthal article

1) Obama needs to step down and admit that Arab Spring is a sham. The true purpose is to install Al-Qaida friendly regimens.

2) Install Qaddafi's son as the one true leader of Libya with Josh Bolton as his true messenger

3) Turn over Libya to a Papal possession.

All these games being played by our Gov have nothing to do with the American people... we have no real idea of the what and why of them...  corruption is so rampant in our leadership that the real objectives of any action are never clear, but are most likely based on corporate profit or oil.  We have had two dunces... Bush and Obammy.  Mitt looks like he wants to blow up everybody... so things will remain interesting as our corrupt politicians continue to destroy our nation.

Yep, on 9/11/01 we were attacked by  Al-Qeada, a group we funded, armed, and unleashed upon the world... and American's died.

On 9/11/12 our embassy was attacked in a country that was overthrown with the help of Al-Qeada, who we funded, armed, and unleashed upon Libya.... and Americans died.

Gee, I guess we didn't learn our lesson the first time.

Why exactly do we have DHS, TSA, etc? Why exactly do we have these wars? Why exactly do we have our rights taken away through multiple bills, and even yesterday Obama renewed the emergency act that was put in place a couple of days after 9/11?   Again, all from the Al-Qeada creation that came from ourselves, and a creation we still fund, arm, and unleash.

What's worse is we had all the info we needed to stop 9/11, but didn't.  We never needed to give up a single right... again to stop a terrorist attack by a group we armed, funded, and trained.

So many parallels, so many mistakes, and yet they keep on coming.  If we are asked to never forget 9/11, I guess the first thing we have to do is actually know what not to forget.  We sure in the hell don't know anything, as everything we've done has been based off lies, and absolutely retarded.

...and right now the Libya tactic (which was also used in the Yugoslavia republics) is being used in Syria today.

The U.S. military machine, financed by a Niagara of fiat currency manipulated and created and controlled by the owners of the NY Federal Reserve Bank receives and spends 48 percent of all the military money spent in the world. It is carrier groups, attack helicopters with drones, bombers, incredible laser and night vision technology, CIA support, and the most highly trained force of soldiers the world has ever seen.

It is a massive bulldozer operation burning villages, slaughtering men, women and children by the hundreds of thousands in…guess what?...foreign countries. These countries are important to the Empire – oil, geography, enemies of Israel, et cetera, and that’s the reason we are there.

Big surprise. The countries and their peoples don’t like it. When they fight back, AIPAC says, KILL THEM ALL!  KILL THEM ALL! KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. THAT WILL FIX THEM. THAT WILL TEACH THEM TO TRY AND GO AGAINST THE EMPIRE!

Interesting quote from the US embassy in Cairo (pre burn)

"The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims - as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions," the statement began.

We know the whitehouse didn't clear this statement because our Muslim President wouldn't have compared Islam to all other religions, that act alone is offensive to Muslims.

Our whithouse statement to the Muslims would be "crickets", to the Americans: "blame Bush".

This is merely a way into Libya to have more Zionist troops on the ground. When Israel goes after Egypt (Euphrates to the Nile bitchez), the Zionist NATO will pinch in from the West. I don't believe a bunch of people can storm a US embassy unless they were incited then allowed to.

...and once again we have idiot sheep, even right here on ZH, who fall right in line with the "evil, savage towelhead blah, blah, blah" groupthink.

who knows who the fuck these people were, this happened in Libya, were you there?

a bunch of Pakistani cricket fans (who didn't understand and could not read english) got paid to hold up sings espousing there unyielding hatred for America, which fox news ran on their website only to find out later on they didn't know what the sings said but they were told it had something to do sports.

or how about all those Palestinians dancing and celebrating in the streets on 9/11, only to find later on it was admitted that the footage was from years before the attacks.

or the brown people with turbans cheering and standing around that van as the towers fell, only to find out years later, that they were jews with mossad connections.

or that live video showing protesters crowding green square in Libya right before NATO bombed the shit out of Tripoli, only to find the BBC admitted the feed was, in fact, from India, not Libya.

or the one where a tearful, young girl testified that she had witnessed Saddam Husein's soldiers throwing babies out of incubators and into the streets of Kuwait, only to find the girl was the daughter of a Kuwaiti ambassador and later admitted she never witnessed any such event.

or the much hyped "mass rape" campaign launched by Qaddafi's army (remember he was feeding them viagra) that turned out such a media created contrivance that the UN itself was forced to admit that there was zero evidence to suggest that such atrocities ever really happened.

I could go on and on for volumes about how our media and PTB's blatantly manipulate, lie and socially engineer the American sheeple into such conditioned automatic Pavlovian responses to news such as this.

It's just sad to see some people, even those who read ZH, still haven't quite caught on yet or been able to brake the conditioning...

One thing about you people is that you can always articulate 10 lies at a time. Most of the rest of us can't do that but you can and I bet you can do it consistently because that's how they taught you to do it.

Or is it that your brain is so cluttered with the crap that comes from government and their media friends that you can't make a rational decision and parse information properly anymore. Have to agree w/Blunder here. Of course, there's always the possibility that the official cause of death is a lie, or that bullets or other wounds, which some descriptions say he had, caused him to be unable to escape from wherever he inhaled the smoke. There's also always the possibility that the smoke just got to him before the other wounds caused him to die.

It's too early to know exactly WTF happened, and a lot of folks may be jumping the gun here irresponsibly (or not), but the film may have deliberately been used as a provocation, to stir the hornets' nest.

acrabbe I may be down arrowed to oblivion, but you appeared to be blind as well here.  Is the us government corrupt?  Yes   Does freedom exist in the USA?   NO!  Is the nation of Israel favored by God?  NO!

We would probably agree on many things if we were able to sit down and have a civil conversation, but you appear to be one of those that is of the mind set that takes sides:  example:  if Jews are evil then Muslims are not. The US Government is evil, therefore anyone who opposes them is not. etc

I guess there are some peace loving Muslims in the world as there may be some peace loving Jews in the world, but unfortunately they don't control the countries that are theocracies, the radical ones do.

So that you know I am not coming from a zionist stance, you should know that I detest the foreign interventionist policy of the country that I live in(USA).   I understand the sinister work of our intelligence agencies, but to claim that radical islam is a creation of the west is far fetched.  Are they used and manipulated by western intelligence?  Answer: yes, but they act very much on their own as well.

So before you spread the politically correct propaganda here that muslims are peace loving freedom loving people  study more read more about history and the rise of islam and please don't read into my remarks and think that because I hold this opinion that it means I'm supporter of zionism, because I am not.

Read about the plight of the Coptics in Egypt here:   http://www.raymondibrahim.com/10855/under-threat-the-worsening-plight-of-egypt-coptic

I must also add here that in fact, the west, which you so claim created the muslim boogey man, actually has turned a blind eye to the plight of the coptic christians in egypt, they give a wink wink wink and a nod, persecute and discriminate against those coptics all you want as long as you accept our military aid and remain our ally.

The same as they do with Israel and the plight of the palistinians.

Nope. Radical groups were initially funded by the USSR via Nasser in Egypt, and further back, Nazi's funded the Mufti in Jerusalem pre-WWII. Egypt in the early 50s was a second world country, like Brazil today. Now, it is a third world shithole primarily due to Arab extremism and cleptocratic regimes being propped up by corrupt foreign governments. You can thank Nasser for that. This is also what led to the USA, Egypt's biggest supporter under Eisenhower, to move away from them to support the House of Saud (and fund Wahabism, the fruits of which we are seeing today in all manor of extremists - thank you Ike).

Wow, acrabbe, wow! And thanks!

Isn’t it time that people start looking at people as people and not cannon fodder or fire bombs or drone attacks or collateral damage? How ironic that many in the pro-life movement draw a line on Muslim life, rather it be babies, women or Palestinian businessmen.

In 1918, R.V.C. Bodley, author of Wind in the Sahara, The Messenger, and 14 other volumes, turned his back on the world and went to live with the Arabs in the Sahara, the Garden of Allah, after four years of slaughter on the Western Front, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia.

Here is the lesson he learned that settled his war-torn life…

Said Bodley: “I had believed we were fighting to save civilization.  At the Paris Peace Conference, I saw selfish politicians laying the groundwork for the Second World War—each country grabbing all it could for itself, creating antagonisms, and reviving the intrigues of secret diplomacy.

“I was sick of war, sick of the army, sick of society. For the first time in my career, I spent sleepless nights, worrying about what I should do with my life. Lloyd George urged me to go in for politics. I was considering taking his advice when a strange thing happened, a strange thing that shaped and determined my life…  It all came from a conversation that lasted less than two hundred seconds—a conversation with ‘Ted’ Lawrence, ‘Lawrence of Arabia,’ the most colorful and romantic figure produced by the First World War. He had lived in the desert with the Arabs and he advised me to do the same things. At first, it sounded fantastic…

“The seven years I spent with the Arabs convince me that the neurotics, the insane, the drunks of America and Europe are the product of the hurried and harassed lives we live in our so-called civilization.

"As long as I lived in the Sahara, I had no worries, I found there, in the Garden of Allah, the serene contentment and physical well-being that so many of us are seeking with tenseness and despair.

"Many people scoff at fatalism. Maybe they are right. Who knows? But all of us must be able to see how our fates are often determined for us. For example, if I had not spoken to Lawrence of Arabia at three minutes past noon on a hot August day in 1919, all the years that have elapsed since then would have been completely different. Looking back over my life, I can see how it has been shaped and molded time and again by events far beyond my control. The Arabs call it mektoub, kismet—the will of Allah. Call it anything you wished. It does strange things to you… that philosophy has done more to settle my nerves than a thousand sedatives could have achieved.”

Says Bodley, that does not mean that in the face of disaster the Arabs sit down and do nothing.. it means they accept the inevitable and immediately after a storm, a calamity, remain calm and after assessing the damage and the positive, spring into productive action. Mektoub!” … “It is written.”

This 9/11/2012 event in Libya was allowed to happen, as was the 9/11/2001 event.

I venture a guess that most ZH readers have not been to many embassies, nor consulates.  I have been to too many and the US embassies and consulates are the most heavily guarded.

For example, in Bern, Switzerland, the street where the US embassy is located is blocked to auto traffic at both ends, where  four sand bagged machine gun emplacements watch every person walking down the street.  In Geneva, the US compound next to the UN has bomb proof barriers on the entrance driveway. Within the buildings, a visitor is enclosed in bombproof glass enclosures, where he can state his business.

By contrast, one can walk in to the Chinese or Russian embassies without ever being aware of security and, if you know your way around walk directly to the office you need.

If such tight security is provided in Switzerland, how could it be any lighter in North Africa, except by design, for the day?

Security at US embassies and consulates is not provided by US Marines, as is commonly thought.  The Marines are busy being rotated through war zones, so private contractors are used, as were used at Logan airport on 9/11/2001.

I surmise that a message was meant to be sent and things got a bit out of control... qui bono?

Been out of the curcuit for awhile but prior to 2001 the only US embassy in the world that did not have US marines stationed was Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was a deliberate decision by the US diplomatic service to keep a low profile and Cambodian nationals were employed. At the time it was stressed to me by the then press attache Cambodia was unique - what happened since? As for a message being sent I can only surmise the greatest benificery to this action was Assad. Mission accomplished.

Theese days are not those days.  Last week, for example, I had an appointment with US consul in Lyon, France, who by the way is known throughout Lyon as the ugly American.  Unlike all other countries' consulates in town, which are well designated with flags and seals, the US consulate is in an unmarked building, with a small sign that says "APP" which I have learned means American Presence Post.

To get into the building, one must have a prior appointment and arrive at an exact time to be escorted upstairs by an armed guard.  At any other consulate in town, one can walk in at almost any time and conduct one's business. The guard is a personable young man and tries to keep the unpleasantness to a minimum.  I have had brief conversations with the guard and at one time questioned his accented English and French, because neither was spoken with an American accent.  He explained to me that he was Israeli, as were all the other security people.

Out of curiosity when at the US consulate in Geneva, I asked the security people where they were from... answer, Israel.

Why would the US wish to maintain a low profile in Cambodia?  Could it have anything to do with the genocidal carpet bombing by the US airforce, from which the Cambodian people continue to lose limbs because of the illegal cluster bombs?

It makes me wonder what the US is doing in Lyon that it needs to keep a low profile.

While the msm is spinning this into a romney thing, I think even many of the sheeple find this as deeply disturbing as I do, and over the coming weeks it we will run through multiple layers of lies from the administration and see all the ways they were clueless and mishandled this and the events leading up to it. What ingrates those arab string savages are--after all obama has done for them.

One notable historical milestone nobody has mentioned yet--today is the day that hilary lost the 2016 presidential election. Her apologies to the muslims over the movie will forever define her. She threw her tantrum and threatened to resign as secstate unless obama gave her her little military intervention in libya. And look at all the dividents it yielded.

Notice how nobody in the administration had any interest in speaking up for the american tradition of free speech. They also are hypocrites as they never once complained when tv shows and movies blaspheme against christian beliefs.
