Anonymous Hacks Greek Ministry Website, Demands IMF Withdrawal, Threatens It Will Wipe Away All Citizen Debts

Tyler Durden's picture

If there is one war that Greece could not afford to join, that is with the global computer hacking collective known as Anonymous. Yet as of minutes ago, that is precisley what happened, after Anonymous, as part of what it now calls Operation Greece, took down the Greek Ministry of Justice (http://www.ministryofjustice.gr/). While the pretext for the hacking appears to have been an arrest of the wrong people, is seems to have angered Anonymous to the point where they have left an extended message of demands on the Greek website, warning that unless the IMF withdraws from the country and the government resigns, all debts of Greek citizens will be wiped clean.

Translated from the Greek:

     Citizens of Greece

     We are Anonymous.

We watch every day your government abolishes the constitution and institutions of the country.

We see them leading you closer and closer to poverty.

We see them pass laws that deprive you of any right to dignity.

We see them and deliver the country to the IMF and the bankers.

We know about the soup kitchens in schools,

for people who are left jobless and now wait in queues for a plate of food.

We know that your country voted ACTA in your effort to silence and other Greeks.

We know everything ...

The Republic in Greece has died.

He died while a government that has not been elected by the people.

And for this reason that the time for discussion came and went.

Not negotiating anything with any of those who murdered him.

Can you hunt as you like, you can even capture some of us,

When you attempt to silence us ...

But for every one that will capture 3 others will spring up. There are 5 or 10 or 100.

Now the Greeks are all Anonymous.

We are millions against you and the 300 in this war tear gas will not help you.

     Occupying Government of Greece

These days are going to vote for a bill that will be the last nail in the coffin of the Greek.

A bill to return the country to a totalitarian rule.

To bring the country and its people in absolute poverty.

We will not allow another misery to the Greek people.

We demand your resignation immediately, and elections.

We demand not paid a cent to moneylenders 'friends' you.

We demand the immediate withdrawal of the IMF from Greece.

The Justice Department was only a small sample of what we're capable of doing

Even you have not seen the full wrath of Anonymous.

For each article of a bill that would shame the vote,

we will shut the system and deleting an Inland Revenue debts of Greek citizens

Debts which requires them to fascist pay.

Can the demonstrations of the Greeks to their encounter with incredible violence,

anexelekta hitting, but the internet is our field. And I love this war.

We are many and we will be brief.

Citizens of Greece, Anonymous is now fighting on your side ...

Government of Greece, let us wait ...

Chumblez asked:

And how exactly do they propose to do that?

FORMAT C:?

Or maybe more like rm -r *?

They should just pay the money to become an official Associate VP at MERS, like all the robosigners, and then turn loose a perl script to update all mortgages as having been paid in full.

If (or when) Zero Hedge ever gets hacked, my guess is it will more likely be the makers of STUXNET... not Anonymous.

Now go tear some shit up Anonymous, w00t!

Tue, 02/21/2012 - 21:04 | 2182967 Think for yourself
Think for yourself's picture

Of course it's not the same thing, don't be obtuse. Yeah, anonymous is obviously infiltrated by CIA/Mossad, probably was just a bit after Anon itself woke up to its real power during its Church of Scientology operation. Or do you think CIA/Mossad are too stupid to head over an imageboard that doesn't even require a log-in to post? But they're not the makers of it, obviously not. Anonymous was the cesspool of the internet long before any intel agency might have started caring about self-righteous fat nerds arguing whether hentai or furries is the best porn.

Anyways, of course agents can get in there and try to steer the movement. Just like you can. In anonymous all of us are agents. And since every agent is anonymous, there can be no argument from authority unless you let it convince you. So learn about argumentative fallacies, polish up your rhetoric and take your mind into your own fucking hands already!

Edit: If it's not clear with what I said above, trying to identify a concept or action with Anonymous "Oh, Anon did this" or "Anon doesn't believe that" is the first trivial argument from authority to eliminate. Anon is a cesspool of ideas, from philosophers to pedophiles to disempowered fat geeks to superficial jocks to intelligence agents. They don't dictate which ideas you pick out, you do.

not being obtuse thanks, if I were feeling rude, I could make the same comment to you.  I see this as act as nothing more than a PR stunt... theatre designed to manipulate.  who is in control will become apparent soon enough.

Tue, 02/21/2012 - 21:28 | 2183011 Think for yourself
Think for yourself's picture

I was answering to your implications that the makers of stuxnet and of anon are the same. You are confusing medium and agent. Of course the agents behind this stunt might be plants. It's anonymous, by definition, so why would you expect that it's not CIA? It could be them just like it could be bored teenage hungarian hackers trying to earn some reputation for their group from the comfort of their parents' basement.

That you think someone might be in control shows, again that you misinterpret what Anon is. Of course it can be co-opted by any agent. That's what the medium is there for. But it cannot be controlled short of absolute police state, because it is not possible to control anonymous short of being aware of every possible communication between 2 independent beings. Two old ladies meet on a park bench and chat, that's anonymous. A drunk guy tells his war stories to a bored barman, that's anonymous. Two guys take a walk in a forest and have a chat, that's anonymous. Control that.

Edit: By the way, please excuse me if anything I say may be construed as rude. I sincerely affirm that it's not my intention. It's just that I'm already on my second half of wine bottle on an empty stomach.

somehow i doubt this is bored hungarian hackers.   I think you are missing the forest for the trees.   I understand what the term anon means.  I am not referring to that, I am referring to what is essentially a "brand name" at this point, Anonymous, which uses certain symbols, images and sounds...  a brand name that bears all the hallmarks of NWO manipulation.  a rose by any other name...

If one accepts the argument that Scientology is a product of US military intelligence or the CIA mind control operations:

http://concen.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=16790

So, in summary so far, we see that Hubbard had a connection with the L.A. Veterans administration, a hospital where mind experiments were first being conducted. His connections were the disability that he was receiving, and a supposed document from him saying that he was seeking psychiatric help . When Hubbard came up with supposed techniques to remember these past mind experiments, the CIA began showing a great interest in him and his work, whether it was legitimate or not. He was not willing at this time to cooperate with any government agencies on any level. So the CIA continued on with their experimenting, doing horrid things to innocent people, and trying to figure out a way to seize Scientology.

...then it would be logical that they would manipulate it for asset purpose into new media for broader spectrum mind manipulation (i.e. for propaganda purposes: thesis, antithesis...synthesis (the simultaneous occupation of both sides of the battle for Internet identity/freedom and hence significant influence on the final outcome)...but this of course is just idle speculation....

"I am not referring to that, I am referring to what is essentially a "brand name" at this point, Anonymous, which uses certain symbols, images and sounds...  a brand name that bears all the hallmarks of NWO manipulation.  a rose by any other name..."

You have a user name and an avatar.  We are ALL moved by images and sounds/words.  Humans have ALWAYS used symbolism.  Yeah, sure, original symbolism can be hijacked (religions have done it since the beginning of time), but it's illogical to make the statement that BECAUSE it's symbolism that it's been hijacked.

Disinfo is part of TPTB's methods of hanging on to its power.  In the end what matters is ACTION.

The only true way forward lies with that which disassembles power and DOESN'T look to reassemble power outside the level of that of an individual.  If something that calls itself "Anonymous" moves in such a direction then I will agree; if something that calls itself "CIA [or "Homeland Security"] moves in such a direction I will also agree.

The REAL litmus test lies in asking: WWMND? (What Would Mother Nature Do)

I like your thought process. The medium is the message. Too many entrance and exit points to be anything else. A magnifier and a connector and a tool that by design is extremely difficult to control or be any one thing - and that is the message

Not that (just looked) but they might have managed a DNS poisoning. Don't know how that would work against a .GR domain. Again, it would only have to be an inside job and the deed is then easily done. And it's not like there would be a shortage of people over there willing to push the right buttons.

That would be a slick hack, for sure. However I don't see how it could done as a practical matter. The "debt" is all over the place, in banks, in mortgages, in credit card accounts. Now if they could r00t the FinMin servers they could do something symbolic, like nuke some important database, or leave the db intact but just nuke the account info so nothing adds up. It could get real "creative" as we like to say.

Of course the media would have a field day. Anon wiped the debt, just like they said.

It's a circus, afterall. Smoke and mirrors and doors to nowhere, a wild ride on the edge of sanity, and the very next day it's just gone.

This is probably the better play. It would not be too hard for Anon to mount a murmur campaign or flash mob kind of thing, to get a lot of people to jointly repudiate their debt in one huge leap. Meaning, just not pay it. En mass, all at once. If they could activate 10% of the middleclass to pull the debt plug at once it might be enough to nuke the entire system of debt rehypothecation.

And if I can think that far into it then someone else certainly did already.

We shall see.

One of my grandfathers killed 5 men in WWII up close and personal during street battles in France. Near the end of a firefight he shot two soldiers and was shot in the leg by a german officer. His next shot killed the officer and he took the officer's luger, dagger, and badges. Items my father has now.

He always said there were only a few men among boys in the war. Most were too afraid to shoot their gun. My grandfather wanted to come home so he shot his rifle. He never claimed any remorse because he was doing his job, either he killed or he would get killed. He also said the French soldiers were tough as nails but their commanders were pansy weaklings that couldn't manage the simplest tasks. The French soldiers would always talk about killing their own commaders if they saw one for giving up Paris so easily.

War is hell and most soldiers never actually take part. Like the American revolution it is left to a small minority to actually make a difference for all.

My Uncle did special ops in Vietnam and Cambodia.  He was a black beret before there were black berets.  He told my dad one story after he came back one night at a bar.

He was flown close to a village at night, alone, only armed with a dagger, and was told to kill one man and leave.  He did his job, and slit the mans throat while he slept.  He asked my dad if he wanted to hear any more stories.  My dad said no.

Unlike GW Bush who gave Saddam 24 hrs (or whatever it was) to give himself up before the "invasion," only to find out that at the very moment he was blathering this to the teleprompter troops were already on the ground in Iraq warming things up.

Well, OK, in a way I see the point about just "doing it."  I suppose that the idea is to not be like THEM...

Anonymous,

Santa turned out to be a fake. So did The Easter Bunny.

Many grew up to figure out their parents' marriages were fakes too.

I grew up and found out my government was evil and resembled nothing that was discussed in my civics class.

I loved my civics class and so did most of my peers. We were so fucking wholesome, real believers.

But the shroud has been pulled from my vision and now everything is coated in a film of cynicism.

Dripping cynicism.

I sit and watch and hope you are real. I fear you are full of shit.

I'm willing to lead, but only a few will follow. It is not enough.

I watch. I wait.

There is no critical mass, yet. Thunder clouds are forming, an energy is rumbling out there, but...not yet.

If there was a chance that these fuckers could be brought to justice, man...

That believer is inside me still. She weeps. She watches.

There is nothing more cumbersome than false hope, or hope in general.  And that is why you and I and others have come here, and written, and found truth to power.  Who cares about anyone else anymore?  We did what we needed to do.  We are the ones we were looking for.

We are ready, our minds, bodies, and spirits.  Others aren't, and there was nothing we could ever do to help them understand the simple truth that economics is a sham, and finance is a lie, and that humanity has been living a lie for X amount of years.

Now all that is left is time.  Yet what is time?  Time is not just hours and days and weeks and months.  It is the moments we share, in our waking lives and in our sleep.  There is all the time left in the world, and now we get to enjoy it.

Virginia is not asking about Santa here.

Stir our imaginations.

It sucks feeling this helpless.

I am so fucking sad.

Please understand that I say this with immense respect for you: SNAP OUT OF IT, TOOTS!

Of course you're sad. Who wouldn't be? Remember, though, the fuckers that did this to us, our nation, and our world want to keep us sad and resigned to our fate. Fuck that! Many of us have devoted time and resources preparing for what we see coming, and that's a good thing. If you're feeling sad and helpless, though, turn it around into productive anger.

I don't mean redouble your efforts on what you've already been working on. I mean let your evil side get out and exercise. Be bad! Hell, look at your avatar. She looks like she's turned the tables on someone and is saying, "who's the bitch now, fucker?"

Look for weak points in the system that is fucking us over. Make a habit of it, and make a habit of thinking how these can be used to fuck the system. Look for ways to turn the system's strengths into weaknesses.

A perfect example to focus on is the system's utter dependence on technology. The more advanced it is, the more frail it is. The weaknesses will more often than not be found in situations that the designers didn't plan for.

You don't even have to do anything overtly evil right away. You can allow your evil side time to prepare, just like you do with your good side. When the time comes to act, everyone will know it.

Here's just one example to get you started. Tasers. We've all seen abusive use of tasers by the authorities. Some of the fuckers seem to get an orgasmic glee when they can tase someone for no good reason. They'd shit a brick if they tased someone, but their target wasn't affected, and the target would now have the initiative and element of surprise, allowing them an appropriate response.

Tasers shoot two electrodes with attached wires. The electrodes are like little metal darts, and when they hit the target, the target's body completes the electric circuit between the electrodes, with high voltage incapacitating shockage being inflicted. If the circuit is completed by something other than the target's body, no shock is delivered. Get yourself some flexible conductive mesh (perhaps like the stuff that copper scouring pads are made of), sew it into some clothes (allowing for conductive connections between shirts, pants, and anything else), and you've just thrown a low-tech monkey wrench into their high-tech fuckery. It might not be 100 percent effective, but if the electrodes have a better conductive path than the target's body, the target doesn't get shocked.

[ I wonder how many more lists I'm on now. Oh well, fuck it.]

If you're feeling sad, allow yourself to get angry in a creative manner. :)

Be clear sweetheart, I am sad, but that is really different than being whipped. It is okay to be sad. I was really sad today and I think it was a good thing. Until you come out of cynicism, with it's fake above it all and superiority, you don't touch what is really at stake. Sad is not the place to stop. But for me it is really important to touch sad to let it sink in what is important. Maybe you too? I cannot speak for you. All of us process differently. I have cried today (I don't do a lot of it). The crying is about grief. Loss. In this case the loss of innocence and the desire for a wholesome system built on integrity that I could feel proud of being a part of. Hope I don't sound too corny or idealistic. But if anything, my cynicism is dragging me down, every bit as much as hope.

I am, however, also one pissed bitch. Do not be confused. My pissed-off-a-tude is informed by many facets of the emotional spectrum!! It runs deeeeep.

You are, as usual, correct. What has happened to our nation and our world is a loss that we have to get through somehow. Sadness is a normal part of dealing with it.

I was really sad today and I think it was a good thing. Until you come out of cynicism, with it's fake above it all and superiority, you don't touch what is really at stake. Sad is not the place to stop. But for me it is really important to touch sad to let it sink in what is important. Maybe you too?

Yes, me too. A lack of sadness would be a matter of concern.

Hope I don't sound too corny or idealistic. But if anything, my cynicism is dragging me down, every bit as much as hope.

No, if anything, you sound like the kind of person this world needs more of. As for hope and cynicism, I think you've made a startling revelation, at least to me. I've never really thought about it, but hope and cynicism are two sides of the same useless coin of surrender, of giving up, of throwing in the towel.

I am, however, also one pissed bitch. Do not be confused.

Outstanding! Your post had me a little concerned, but I see that my worry was baseless. Thanks.

What is sad is that every day I fight to get my small private corporation's products bought by buyers in almost every major big box retialer. Some times I win a small token order and we are expected to sell at a rate four times higher than the "established brands" ie publicly traded.

Many times I lose and am forced out by a major brand that decided to enter my market with a token offering just to keep me out. Saying we'll give you a two month exclusive on color 2 if you take a few extras we made. The buyer says, "Sorry but I don't have any more dollars for your product this year."

It doesn't even matter if your company has been bought for years if there is no way for the retail directors to make money on stock. They will throw you out to support a garbage product line if the stock is hot.

We need a reset to level the playing field again. If you aren't planning on becoming a billion dollar stock scam, you no longer have a future. Innovation has taken a back seat to unbridled greed. The only market is for a scam.< /p>

I've been wondering for a while now if we need a time-to-live on all corporate charters, so nobody can get too big or too powerful. Give anyone who wants to 20 years (just to grab a number) to make it big. To exploit a resource, to sell into a market, to hold a patent. Then in 20 years, pull the plug. Sell all assets and real estate on the open market, void all contracts to deliver, place all patents in the public domain. Then give the cash net of debt to the shareholders, and walk away.

In other words: to grow and eat and dominate -- until you die.

If corporations want to be people then they can have a time to live, and then they can die.

It would keep money moving. It would keep intellectual property in motion. It would murder monopolistic practices and crony capitalism. It would force shareholders to find and fund new forms of innovation. None of these are bad things.

The wheel turns. We get on at one point and then we get off of it at another point. It's good for living things to be this way, it makes room for another generation who may have other (perhaps better) ideas about how to do things. It allows things to change with changing times by embracing change as a basic principle.

OF course it will never happen. The corporations own the system now. But they are going to die anyway, if only because they are no longer welcome in the world.

Because immortality is for monsters.
