Apple Decouples From Stock Market Gravity
For the first time since the end of January (and for only the 4th day this year) AAPL is trading higher with the S&P trading down... the S&P has surged after each previous event, will it this time or has it lost its QE mojo?

even 'better' I'd shorted Silver at $30.50 a short while ago and within minutes it took off like a scalded cat

What sense does holding a $500 stock make at all? Hoping to gain $5 or $10? This kind of crap never made any sense at all to me.
As far as whether the full retard equities follow Apple up next, I doubt it myself. QE is off and Bernank is reverse repo'ing? It may take the hockey helmeted equity markets a bit of time for reality to sink in, but I suspect 'BTFD markets cant go down' BS is over and we're headed into a new phase. Bull money must be looking very delicious right now, all fatted up and calmly chewing their cudd, to the cash starved central banking machine.
Lots of money (and many investors) chasing too few quality equities. AAPL is perceived to be unstoppable... so when the perception is pierced, what happens to AAPL?

It was up $7 today! It keeps proving the "it can't go higher" crowd wrong for the past $300. And how are you going to bash a $500 no div. stock and love a $1700 no div. commodity at the same time?
I agree with the premise to own gold and that apple is a bubble but that doesn't mean the "market " will play along.
Who's saying it can't go higher? The only question is, is tomorrow the day when there are no bigger fools available to buy AAPL?
You'll wake up some morning and APPL will be down $50 or more. And "poof... it's gone". The smart money left the building weeks ago leaving retail to hold the bag.

Prediction: Apple drops for the same reasons it dropped in the 90s: being too greedy to outsource its software. Gates already proved quantity wins over quality -- why would that change now?
