Today in Greece - A man pours a flammable liquid on his body to set himself on fire outside a Piraeus bank branch in Thessaloniki in northern Greece September 16, 2011. The 55-year old man had entered the bank and asked for a renegotiation of his overdue loan payments on his home and business, according to police, which he could not pay, but was refused by the bank (Reuters).

I don't understand either and I find this kind of behavior very frightening. I find it tragic for him, his family, and his community. These kinds of actions challenge my beliefs about what being human is - or means. I don't want to believe that life is that worthless - his life, my life, anybody's life.

Miraflores is a very good zone to stay in, the shopping is pretty good , and it's pretty safe. They have their "modern (clean) Mercado Indio" there as well.

Ever wonder why a "return" can be used against you in a court of law? It's becauase it was signed voluntarily. How can it be that a person living in the US can be forced to be a witness against himself? If one is forced, then the evidence is inadmissible, therefore it is a voluntary action.
If no funds are ever collected prior to the need to file, why file? Let the IRS send a bill. Why do we bill ourselves? Ridiculous system. I've never seen a preemptive IRS bill. They're always in response to a person relinquishing their 5th amendment right against self incrimination.

I am financially independent. I have a large garden, water supply, chickens, bees and supplement with fish when the weather's kind.
