Arabian Fall Update: Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Morrocco, Tunisia, Sudan And Now Lebanon

Tyler Durden's picture

From the Arabian Spring of hope (although technically protesting soaring food prices, something which is about to happen all over again) to the Arabian Fall of anti-American revulsion in under two years: has to be a blowback record. The latest casualty: the German embassy in Sudan:

  • Protestors now inside German Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan - RTRS
  • Protesters pull down emblem at German embassy in Sudan, raise Islamic flag, Reuters witness says - RTRS
  • Protesters set KFC restaurant on fire in Lebanon over pope's visit, anti-Islam film -RTRS

So: Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Morrocco, Tunisia, Sudan and now Lebanon. Did we miss anyone?

Many thousands in Bahrain would love to protest, but their Saudi and American overlords do not allow such freedom.

Anyone who thinks this is not an orchestrated "kristalnacht" event needs to pay a little closer attention to the man behind the curtain.      Something is driving the extremists to take risks and chances to get closer to their "goal" of having the world believing the same way that they do.     Sad thing is that a lot of moderates are going to miss the opportunity to smack down these nuts before they really get emboldened and start claiming "God is with US!"   (Oh wait, they already do.)

So, just in time for regional unrest that will drive gasoline prices even higher, the fed opens the open-ended floodgates to allow more money to slosh around the system looking for a home. This is awesome. Not only will we get the pop in oil from regional instability, but there's soon going to be even more free money to bid up price. Sweet! Or, is that light sweet crude?

That's true. But my point was that while a variety of factors (including instability, drought, etc.) will raise prices for food and fuel, the fact that the fed has pledged to dump more 1's and 0's into the hands of those looking to make risk free (for them) bets means that on top of naturally occuring price spikes we will have to deal with ass hats bidding up what is already heading up to begin with. Like pouring gasoline on a fire.

Brought to you by YouTube

It is clear it is an intelligence agency gig. It is a totally boring dull stupid movie, no 'Life of Brian' at all.

Clearly bullsh*t that it had a '$5 million' budget or whatever. It looks like it was made by a college student with one of those video-making programmes, and done very badly at that. - The style where you photograph a person in a white room, and then paste then on top of stock footage of the desert, fuzzy lines all around the person's body from the edit-pasting.

No reason for the US to beat itself up over what it's done or not done recently, then. And even less reason for ZH to go on about a "blowback" to US policies in the region.

Four Americans die. But since it is demonstrative of the failings of the Obama foreign policy, it is already down the memory hole of the media, or as it is more commonly know, the Obama campaign.

Forced by events to continue minimal coverage of the continuing violent rioting throughout the Arab world, the media provides this short story not covering that the Obama administration apparently had prior knowledge of the attacks and did nothing. No coverage of why the Obama administration's initial reaction was to justify the riots. No discussion of why Obama chose for the week before the anniversary of 9/11 to avoid his national security briefing in favor of fundraising. No coverage of why before the blood dried, Obama was off fundraising again. No coverage of Obama's lack of knowledge of whether Egypt was an ally or not.

The whole of Arab Islam is a dismal hypocritical joke at present.  They exhibit little sense of proportion or sense of maturity, nor a sense of humour.  They take themselves waaaaay too seriously. So leave themselves open to immature reactions to baiting.  They fall for it every time.  I don't see Muslim countries in South East Asia freaking-out and acting like ferals over such an obvious baiting attempt.  The over-reactive youth-dominated Arab society could learn a few things from them.

And if God is God, and a Prophet really is a Prophet, and a Scripture really is God's word, then what the hell does it matter if someone pisses on it, burns it, or wipes their bum with it?  Would this change any value of what it actually is? Or reduce the veracity of a truthful thing?  Or debase what a real messenger from God had to say?  It's either true or it isn't, and that isn't subject to human opinion, so what the hell does it matter what any human does, or says about anything true?  Why are primarily Arabs so pathologically insecure about what anyone says, or does, with respect to a truth, or a book?

Why would God give a fuck what any human has to say about him?  Or about any slurs imparted?  Would a real god be reduced by that?  He's God, and doesn't need to be 'believed' in by anyone, in order to remain the one true God.  So this isn't about God, it can't be, it can only be about humans acting like deeply insecure retards.  You don't have to choose to be a believer in anything, if you're ready to look at what's true.

It's utterly ridiculous to want, or else to pretend to be able to defend a God!

And why does God need mere 'believers' anyway?  Surely God would be quite happy if you just knew God is, and didn't only believe it.  If you know God, why would you care what anyone ever said about God's validity, or name, persona or doctrinal specifics?

And what sort of drongo God would want a bunch of brainless over-reactive Arab dimwits as 'believers' running around paradise acting like morons, with Jihad this, and death to infidels that?

I'm pretty sure any real God would want none of it, it's just a dumb human invention that morons hijacked to create a steady supply of Arab stupidity with.  The Arabs are just pathologically insecure about their religion, and about any question of the Divinity or the ultimate validity of it.  They seem to have to keep telling themselves that it's true, as though deep-down maybe they suspect it's not?

Anything that's true or real does not need to be defended by mere 'believers'.  Belief doesn't make anything true--being true, makes it true.  And that needs no defending at all.  It is it's own perfect defence.  So anyone calling something that is true, 'false', doesn't alter the nature of it one bit, or it's veracity.  Why can't Arabs see that and get over themselves? And I seriously doubt any true God is going to be made insecure by the feeble opinions or portrayals of any human being or some hapless forgetable 'movie', so what are these absurd Arab 'believers' so bloody afraid of here?

The Arab world has to decide to grow up at some point, because every time they do this they just reinforce every stereo-type of themselves as being a society of insecure retards; stupid is as stupid does.

The Muslims were framed on New Year's Eve 2011 in the planting of a sophisticated bomb in front of a Coptic Church in Alexandria. Then the Muslims were again framed in creating a hit-list on 300 Copts on a web-server in Texas that promises anonymity (it also had a monument of a pyramid on its lawn outside). Now, the Copts were framed in the making of this movie which had the sole purpose of inciting mindless violence in the Muslims.

How can people not realize they're just being played?

People (or the authorities) should 'follow the money' and find out who is really behind this plot to destabilize Egypt (and the whole Middle-East & North-Africa). A 'strategy of tension' perhaps?

the muslim intelihood is the new al ciada. it's amazing how cleverly designed this all is. my family is watching tv yesterday about the 'riots'. they are incapable of even having a conversation when they see this on tv, fire in one frame with 'towel heads'---and trusted msm talking heads in the other frame---framing the story for them.

it is difficult to make sense out of these stories i'll admit. but there are just far too many people out there who are beyond intelligent thought on these issues. fully and utterly captured by the brainwashing machine. college educated mba's----people with 'degrees' plugged into the boob toob sucking down propoganda as quickly as they recieve it. shrugging off all suggestions that the news is biassed primarily in what stories it covers, and then, how it covers those stories.

Rabid zionism in Israel, rabid shia theocracy in Iran, rabid Talibanism in Pak/Aghan, rabid Salafism in Sunni Arab lands, rabid QE-to infinity in first world; the sacred Oil patch is surrounded by the Ring of Malfeasance; like it should be in the fellowship of evil souls.

It is the dirty navel of PAx Americana construct. How can it be so, for the sons of founding fathers of land of enlightenment to have thus metamorphosed?

And we are tied to it, like Prometheus on Mount Caucasus was to his chains; expiatory victim of daily predatory visits from the eagle of liver destructive zeal, sent by Zeus as retribution for his sins. Like the fiat erosion of our common economic wealth of nations going up in dark holy smoke of central bank concoction; the new deadly inflationary medecine for  middle kingdom Hobbits that the dark Vadors of Mordor now prescribe to save their own power.

What a return to neo-feudalista times. Does it herald also the tolling of the tocsin in the villages calling for the resurrection of the new heroes who will humanity deliver from its chains of servitude to new despotism? The new fellowship of the ring of virtuous do-gooders? Action does inevitably lead to reaction.

Where is that torch smouldering; go find even if it be in the caverns of Medusa's grotto.

The despotism of Evil is the source of all good; as vice versa. That is the circle of Dharma and the fruit of KArma.

Maybe if America stopped trying to overthrow/support dictatorships/terrorists all the time this kind of crap wouldn't happen.

Get the fuck out of the middle-east altogether. All embassies, everything. The whole place is a shithole anyways.

Build liquid coal cars, thorium nuclear reactors, wind power, solar power... America can become self sufficient in power easily if it weren't for the corrupt fucktards in Washington DC who want wars, deficits and oil supremacy to continue.

Cut all foreign aid. Israel doesn't like it, they can move to NY and Florida or shut the fuck up. And if anyone in the middle-east (including Israel) kills any American, 10 000 of their citizens will die for every single life. IS IT CLEAR ENOUGH?

I agree with the half about going home, staying home, minding our own business, being more self-sufficient.

But I disagree that would be the end of our troubles with radical Islam. They want Sharia Law. Everyone, everywhere, comprenda? You need to read the Koran, their plan is there in black and white. You must submit to dhimmitude. Are you planning on converting to Islam any time soon?... Then these troubles are not going away. Ever.

What should we do? What can we do? I don't know, I don't pretend to know, but I know I won't genuflect to their god by cohersion or force. That makes me a Kafir, an enemy of Islam and you too if you don't submit.

I call that one intractable problem.

The UN Declaration of Human Rights 1948, was formulated specifically as guidance in the case of such situations arising in future, that could lead to a repeat of WWII.

http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/index.shtml

The whole point of that document was as a "Never Again" plan, to ensure the world did not degenerate into the mistake of World War again.

It's brief, and extremist fundies may reject it's contents entirely, but it's well worth reading as to what it says about the mess we find ourselves in now, and where it's going.

This document is what the UN Security Council is supposed to be about.  It's not supposed to be used to create wars and hatred and geopolitical blowback.  That is the diametric opposite of global security, but this is absolutely what Washington is continually planting and spreading in the world.

The whole process is being undermined by a military industrial estate who's business if crateing war to sell its killing implements. Getting rid of 95% of that industry would be a real good place to start. Today the only major country consistently warning the world about another pending damaging dangerous and stupidly wasteful great arms-race is ... Russia. You can be sure Washington and NATO are chomping at the bit to have a new arms race, in fact, they started it already, and have a big lead.

How do we CURRENTLY deal with the 20% or so of American citizens who want the *Christian* version of Sharia law?

It's easy as pie.  Just tell 'em to go VOTE.

Many who attempt to see Islam as a non-threat and attempt to see Muslims as brothers in life may have a difficult time if they expect equal treatment. With the FBI report of yesterday stating that violence may spill over into the US, common sense dictates caution.

HOWEVER, remember that many Christians and other non-Muslims have fled the middle-East over the past decades to escape the dangers of the mind set in that World.

There is real danger and threat by the core beliefs of many in that area. The Obama attempt to placate the MENA in his trip with the humble approach was met with anger by many here and distain by many there.

We can not “Mr Nice Guy” this. We can not defeat them without unacceptable actions. They concept of false treaties and lies is part of their religion.

Going back to the MENA people that got out because they were in danger by the Muslims. We somehow must take care not to place them in the same danger they escaped from Lebanon or Syria or Egypt. I don’t know how to do it, just take care and know your neighbor.

If they escaped, let it be known and protect them.

"With the FBI report of yesterday stating that violence may spill over into the US, common sense dictates caution."

Commen sense dictates you should not believe a single word from the FBI. It is the job of the FBI to pretend it does important work so it receives more of YOUR money, in reality it is just another superfluous and destructive three-letter federal entity with no reason to exist.

You are channeling MDB.

I prefer Ron Paul's stance, which is live and let live or live and let die depending on your level of naivete/cynicism. If people half-way around the world want to live in a manner others find abhorent ... tough shit. If people nextdoor want to do so, again, tough shit. Not my business until it becomes my business by involving my property, person, or family.

"They concept of false treaties and lies is part of their religion." This is empty slander, as is the rest of your vacuous argument for killing brown people in distant lands.

Good, let them kick out all the white post-colonial but still very much imperial meddling foreign powers. Then these nations may rise or fall of their own merit, free from the influence of our tax-funded soldiers, mercenaries, corporations, diplomats etc. No more blood on my hands, thank you very much.
