Audi Says Murderous Cravings Of Some Chinese Employees Do Not Necessarily Reflect Company Views

Tyler Durden's picture

Just two days ago we tweeted the rather stunning 'slogan' that a happy-smiley joy-joy bunch of Audi-China staff 'celebrated' at their dealership. The somewhat subtle translation of the banner: "We will kill every single Japanese person, even if it means deaths for our own; even poverty will not deter us from reclaiming the Diaoyu Islands" has now been addressed by Audi management:

  • *AUDI CHINA JV SAYS ANTI-JAPAN BANNER INCIDENT AN ISOLATED CASE
  • *AUDI CHINA JV ASKED DEALERSHIP TO REMOVE BANNER, LU SAYS'
  • *AUDI CHINA JV URGES `REASONABLE' EXPRESSION OF PATRIOTISM

Our tweet:

The stunning image (they do seem oddly amused by it all):

The clip explaining it:

This is just too sweet. Audi says "Bad China", they flush an important market forever. Audi says "Bad Japan", they flush an important forever. Audi says "We're just good neutral Germans", they flush *both* markets: nobody likes a pussy who can't pick a side. Hey Fritz, remember when your CFO came to you and said "China! I think what's happened to the US auto industry is nothing short of criminal.  I find it impossible to have so many engineers be so stupid and incompetent. I understand they have made rather large strides in quality/design but they should have never dropped to the lows they did. That was very irresponsible and inexcusable.

That being said, I am not a fan of German cars at all. I find them to be overpriced, extremely costly to maintain, their rock hard suspensions suck eggs and the fact that they usually require premium fuel is another surcharge that simply makes me bypass them completely. I realize that some will maintain the illusion that they need a hard suspension for handling while doing 3 mph on the 405 but .... I suppose that is a matter of opinion.

I have looked to Lexus and the Hyundai Genesis with great success. They offer much more for less money and I like their overall philosophy and approach.

And...in the mean time I have a 1999 Ford with 165,000 miles on it and TOTAL repairs to date are 958.43.  Americans don't know how good they have it right here at home.

As for the Chinese, the day is near when the banner will have USA on it not Japan.  You know that to be true.

Best. 'American' wishing to establish a monopoly on use of words and only them are able to call Indians.

This also helps to provide a temporal framework.

Europeans doing god's work? First, they were probably Indo Europeans.

And second, the land grabbing, that was so essential to the making of the US american middle class, was performed by 'americans'
And guess what? Those 'americans' refered to the people they robbed the land from as Indians.

Every 'american' wannabee around the world has to learn from the mecca of 'americanism' on Earth, the US.
And the US showed that, to build an 'american' society, you need Indians to sponsor you in your 'american' project of truth, justice and freedom.

Those 'american' Chinese have to find their Indians. Wont be the same as the ones US americans used. Those ones are a scarcity today, they have been drained out.

Ah, another exhibition of 'americanism' spreading.

When it comes to 'americans' around the world, their population is spilt in two:

-they are those who live in a post theft 'american' economy. Their ancestors and themselves have so much robbed that they are less with less and less to rob, a pressing issue with the natural obsession to thiefs: legitimate their loot. Theft must be banned because, well, theft would mean thieving from the post theft economy 'americans' as they own it all.

-they are those who live in a pre theft 'american' economy. They are agitated by the same feelings as the 'american' ancestors of the post theft stage.
For them, from an 'american' point of view, the world situation is around 1770.
Their burgeoning 'american' middle class know they have to rob around to build itself the 'american' way.

It is doubtless that most of the chinese in the pic are 'american'.

Noticeably, you have not heard that much all the 'american' chinese organizations (like the human rights defenders) who generally whine around and have the ears of 'americans' abroad.
Simply because they support the motion. They wont tell and if forced to take position, will call for moderation etc

But in the end, their 'american' nature will prevail.

'Americanism' is spreading but the differential in situations mean the future is no longer 'americans' against so called barbaric, non human, sub human people.

It will be 'americans' vs 'americans'.

Yep, that is right. The definition of 'americanism' comes from 'americans'. Was done before anyone here was born.

Big bully? How? 'Americans' would like to play bully, it is part of their nature, but it is hard for them on the Internet.

Nope, here, 'americans' play another of their usual cards: duplicity.

It is quite funny to read them asking for a definition of 'americanism'. As expected, by the way. I underlined this point a lot of times when they came up to censor the use of the word US citizenism.

I wrote many times that no matter the use of the word, 'americans' will not be able to face it and will have to kick the can.
At first, they claimed it was because of the use of US citizenism. Now when facing their own terming, they would want the word to mean something else than what 'americans' mean it.

'Americans' can simply not put up with the reality of 'americanism' and they will always keep bitching on any detail in order to side track.

Bear with it.

Moronic thing to fight over, and the Chinese aren't the most dignified people around. Mainlander Chinese are some of the most abrasive and rude people on Earth due to their super dog eat dog structure out there.

All that being in my head, the Japanese government brought all this about by doing that dick move they recently did with these disputed islands. The Japanese also tend to have a strange denial or under estimation of how butt-hurt the Chinese still are over the invasion of their homeland, which wasn't even more than 70+ish years ago, which is barely anytime passed at all. Reading the history books about past wars and their ramifications tends to continue on for a few hundred years.

With the Chinese media machine egging on past aggrievances and amplifying Japan's actions, well, it will lead to conflict. I think they really want conflict.

Unfortunately the Chinese do not understand how much damage they do, to themselves and their future prospects, every time they act in the way they are apparently prone to act.  Many years ago I read several books about the era of the Mao fans and their little red books and 'cultural revolution' happenings.  It was an extraordinarily viscous, violent, unjust and arbitrary time, and I had ascribed this almost unbelievable mass-craziness to the excesses of hardline communist ideology, isolation from the rest of the world by culture and language, and to extreme brain-washing regarding reactions to mere claims of people being a 'counter-revolutionary' this or that.

But more and more I now suspect it's actually the character of the Chinese cultural mentality in general, and not some passing mania due ideology.  They rather seem more prone to being entrained by radical and very stupid gushes of jingoism.  The State knows this and simply directs its' blast where the state wants it, as a tool of policy.

The term "the ugly American", is also being surpassed by an oriental equivalent.

The words, stupid and fucking come to mind. But hyperbole is nothing new to the Chinese, or indeed any place with poor and uneducated people in large numbers.

Audi/VW have been in China for over 30 yrs now. They were already a part of the Chinese landscape when I first went there 20yrs ago so nobody is ever going to attack VW/Audi dealerships. Just as Ford is deemed British by most people in the UK, Audi/VW is ubiquitous in China. They won't ever get attacked. It's really odd, because the cars most coveted by the Chinese yuppies were the big 4x4 imports from Japan when I was there.

No doubt the "Yakusa" is busy planning to burn down a Chinese kindergarten in Tokyo in retaliation for the implied slight, and so on until we get a nice ember smouldering for a full inferno. Another really odd thing about the Diaoyo/Senkaku business is the timing. The Japanese would NEVER have been so blatant over the years on this issue because it would have been like shooting themselves in the foot as far as their investments and exports to China was concerned. So why now? My guess is, just like every other fucker in government, they've been listening to Krugman and smoking his war pipe.
