Will it seriously be that difficult to give Ron Paul a full body botox, cut off his frontal lobe, have him grope several women, promise to bomb someone or something, execute a few hundred illegal immigrants, and see him gain 200 extra pounds? I think a lot of people, myself included, were quite excited that Obama came along out of nowhere and started to speak the truth about US involvement in Iraq etc. Also, he looked amazing next to Hillary Clinton, and did not have the media support...I thought maybe this guy is going to confound the status quo by having almost 100% of the black vote. I said at the time, this is the last chance for America....if he is a just another front-man for the status quo then it is over.

If this guy is the GOP's leading candidate, we are doomed to another 4 years of Barack Obama. If we are forced into a 2-party election, we are doomed to yet another 4 years of establishment candidates (i.e. bought and sold for). If the current trend keeps up, Ron Paul will continue to be sidelined in favor of the establishment's chosen few GOP candidates. The US's only hope is a successful third party candidate. I hope that Ron Paul is as cunning as I think he his by staying on as a Republican through these debates. He is building a massive base and getting free airtime (though not much of it - a fact which is actually bringing more attention to his campaign rather than making people ignore him) by remaining nominally in the Republican primary race. I firmly believe that he came into this whole thing with the intention of only airing his views. I don't think he expected to garner the Republican nomination. I believe his end goal was to get free airtime for his views via Republican debates and then switch to an independent party at the last minute. Of course, I still hold some hope that he gets the Republican nomination, but the cynic in me believes he has different motives.

I think you're blowing this a little out of proportion. He appeared to be in a relaxed setting and so he took more time to formulate his answer. The actual substance of what he said later made a lot of sense (agreement aside, I'm just talking coherence).
We know that you (Zerohedge) supports Ron Paul due to his great economic policies, but also the fact that his foreign policy would blow up the world, thus driving gold prices higher.
Also, on a sidenote, the Occupy movement has very little substance (redistribution?) and it seems that the only thing people get out of it is either a disease or loss of dignity/rape, although it has allowed various bloggers to project their own romantic views on the movement given that it doesn't have any clear objectives.
In summary, keep up the good work on the economic front, but shut up with regard to politics.

Cain actually gave an intelligent answer. The questioners were trying to get him to give answers they had preconceived notions about. It was amost like they were not listening, although it was proibably more that they couldn't give a crap what his answer was, rather they wanted to trap him into a gotcha answer.
