Chuck Norris, Who Cuts Through A Hot Knife With Butter, Refuses To "Stand On The Sidelines For Socialism"

While the Clint Eastwood clip was a solid 8 out of 10 on the weirdness chart, it took the man who, as everyone knows, scares all charts away, and who singlehandedly burst the dot-com bubble, to put things in perspective to the evangelical crowd. Because, while Waldo may be hiding from Norris, Norris will no longer hide from what he terms "socialism or something much worse."



Full Transcript:

We are here to talk about a growing concern we all share. If we look to history, our great country and freedom are under attack. We're at a tipping point and, quite possibly, our country as we know it may be lost forever if we don't change the course in which our country is headed.


With our country at a crossroads, Chuck and I have asked ourselves what we can be doing to help support this great country we're blessed to live in and how we can encourage our like-minded American brothers and sisters to unite and let their voices be heard," she said. "It is estimated that in the 2008 election, 30 million evangelical Christians stayed home on voting day and Obama won the election by 10 million votes.


We know you love your family and your freedom as much as Gena and I do, and it is because of that we can no longer sit quietly or stand on the sidelines and watch our country go the way of socialism or something much worse.


As Edmund Burke said, 'All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men and women do nothing.'


Our great president, Ronald Reagan said, 'Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same.


President Reagan went on to say that 'You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.


Please stand with us, let's unite for God and country. And may God continue to bless the United States of America. See you at the polls.

It might seem weird to you but Chuck Norris is a Christian and has the rational belief that there is a relation between morality and good government.  Perhaps that idea seems wrong to you but you certainly can't justify your opinion whereas the Christian idea that laws are founded in the nature of God and revealed in terms of the Ten Commandments is a solid foundation for ethics.  Obama knows NOTHING of ethics, of course, and does as he pleases in order to acheive the end he and the other closet fascists so earnestly desire - the subjugation of the human race.

I dunno, it seems some of Jesus' parables can be read from a capitalist's viewpoint.  A few come to mind: 

Parable of the talents (i.e. put your capital be it money or talents to work or they will be taken away)

Workers in the vineyard (i.e. the master can pay the workers whatever is agreed to unequally)

Barren fig tree (the barren tree is a bad investment which would be rid of and not kept around to multiply)

Sower of the seeds (Could be seen from a venture capitalist point of view, most seeds won't make it but the few that do will multiply)

Mustard Seed (could be seen how something can grow an idea into a giant)

Wise and Foolish Builders (could be seen that wise investors make good choices and are protected while the fools have their house washed away)

Anyways, I'm sure others could be given a capitalist spin.

What do you believe?  Chrisitans believe in a power outside of us (whether you believe in it or mock it), it provides a framework of ethical guidelines, that all are familiar with.  For those that don't believe in God, why do you fret over the banksters stealing from you, and the government taking all they can for the 1%.  After all if there is no firm compass, what ever is right in their eyes is fine.  You have no moral authority to judge someone else (no objective basis), their opinion may differ from yours.

Some use the majority determines what is right argument for the above, and that is our compass and I simply say, move to an Islamic country, or to America 150 years ago as a black man, see if the majority has it right.


If the world truly tries to follow God's 10 commandments or Jesus's two, no doubt the world would be a much better place.  Not argueable.



For me, I'll do my best, and when I fail, I'll seek forgiveness.  This is not my final destination.  If I am wrong, I wated two hours a week at church, gave away some money foolishly, some people mocked my beliefs and I lived a pretty decent life.  If I am right, and you are wrong, you are screwed.

God is almost certainly a libertarian! He refused kings for Israel until they whined so much he gave them one. Then he told them exactly what would happen when you gave someone that much power, even someone HE picked. It's never been the same, since.

Powerful states tend to do one of two things with God/gods, they ban them, a.k.a. communist countries or they become gods, Roman emperors, pharaohs, divinely appointed kings, etc. In the case of socialist/communist countries the comrade in chief becomes god, like Mao, Stalin and Castro. Statues, pictures and studying their little red books is universal. Religion is okay as long as the State and it's leader is worshipped. Anyone notice the ridiculous things the N. Korean athletes said about their emperor, er, leader?

So, evangelical christians and many others tend to be viscerally opposed to a large powerful state. There are many exceptions but that is the norm.

I know many Tea Party activists and leaders in two states. They are pretty good on what they are against but not so good on what they are for or what they believe. I DO believe they have libertarian leanings but not particularly well versed in it. They are an amalgamation of various groups from the very religious to the very libertarian.

The other thing is that the "Tea Party" label is co-opted in different forms and variations by many not in the center of the Tea Party.

And then Bush went on to appoint his cousin on the Walker side to be the chief enforcement officer at Treasury, and next appointed Robert Mueller III to be the chief of DOJ's criminal division, so Bush was covered at both ends when that BCCI investigation crept closer to the White House, which together they manage to circumvent and kill.

Today, Robert Mueller III is the FBI director and still the grandnewphew of Richard Bissell, while Mueller's wife is the granddaughter of Gen. Cabell --- that would be the two of the top three CIA types President Kennedy fired before he was assassinated. (The third being Allen Dulles.)

There have been only two major presidential elections since 1932 that did not conform to this Punch and Judy arrangement. One was in 1964, when Goldwater was able to get the Republican nomination, and the Eastern Republican Establishment literally walked out of the convention, and then spent the rest of the summer torpedoing Goldwater's campaign. The other exception, which was only a partial exception, was Reagan's election in 1980. His new Chief of Staff was James Baker III. Baker, then as now, was one of the chief advisors to George H. W. Bush. The Reagan administration was run by Bush's men, with only a few exceptions, for all eight years. Then Bush replaced him.

Correct, I don't believe "TPTB" chose GHWB as Reagan's running mate. 

"TPTB" is one of those terms people often invoke when they want to shift any possible blame or responsibility away from the OBVIOUS AND VISIBLE sources of a decision or action.  The only way you can say "TPTB" picked Bush as a running mate is by PRETENDING the Republican party apparatus at the time was  secretly running the show.

But in '79/'80, the Republican party was still a shambles.  WHOEVER "TPTB" were at that time, they did not give a flying fuck about the Republican VP candidate.

I'm not sure why you keep calling me naive, but I don't think it's strengthening your argument.

Reagan had a bit of a credibility problem with the conservatives of the era.  Former Democrat, governor of the most liberal state in the union, and not much of a career record demonstrating his qualifications to be President.  He made good speeches and knew how to hit his mark, but the folks who paid attention to matters of record were a bit suspicious of the guy.  He NEEDED someone like Bush on the ticket--war hero, chief spook, long-term politician.

Now it may well be that he could've chosen a puppy, because by the time of the election, it was an "anyone but Carter" situation for a lot of folks.  But you have to plan for such things.

TPTB = The council on foreign relations.  They control who is the canditate for Team A and Team B.  

The winning of the Republican nomination by Regan came to a surprise to TPTB.  Regean was going to choose Ford as his running mate.  However, Cronkite (some have speculated the MSM, and Cronkite et al, are run by TPTB) had an interview with Ford within 24 hours of the convention, Cronkite asked Ford if he was part of a "Co-Presidency".  By doing so, Conkite purposefully pissed in the regean's punch bowl since Regean could not choose Ford fore it undermine his role. As a result He was served up Bush as the "only" candidate even though he publically disagreed with Regeans platmform (voodo econ, pro abortion, etc).  TPTB forced Regean to pick Bush otherwise they would torpedo the campaign (ala Goldwater) and give the election to the properly vetted Carter.

Yes, 'the full faith and credit' of paper fiat is getting thinner every day, but when will the thin ice break?  Expect dips, jumps, QE, distant defaults, fake recoveries, perhaps a false flag event. The US fiat will not dissappear first, but rather the EURO.  When the EURO tanks the US will for a month or three look strong (falsly). Then  buy tradeable assets such as metals.
