Deconstructing Gingrich

Tyler Durden's picture

This is neither here nor there, but is, for all intents and purposes, the best take down of the utter and complete hypocrisy that now reigns supreme in the GOP primary process. Thank you Jon Stewart for doing the thinking that so many other Americans seem utterly incapable of any longer.

Court media only allows the jesters to speak off-script, and only to a point. It is beneficial to them becasue on one hand it appears as though contrarian views are present, and at the same time these view are shown to be invalid because it's just comedy. The conditioning is just breathtaking to me.

Is there anything historically similar in Indian culture(s)?

So the takeaway here is, the South Carolina electorate finds the liberal media more despicable than Newt Gingrich?

That sounds like quite a sensible reaction, when you set it up like that. This is coming from a conservative libertarian that doesn't like Newt Gingrich at all.

The fact that Jon Stewart can't see how important an insight this is, just goes to show that he is part of the problem, and not part of the solution.

The funny thing is, for a liberal media tool, Jon Stewart is actually quite likable and once in a while quite resonable. And yet he spends too much time listening to his audience's applause, instead of listening to the message that the South Carolina electorate sent. Which is that the liberal media is absolutely awful and utterly without merit.

When a presidential primary election has nothing to do with the candidates, and is instead an indictment of the media, you know that this country has some SERIOUS problems.

"Liberal Media", blah blah blah. I thought Fox was the #1 news channel in America? i thought every major news outlet was owned lock stock and barrel by massive international congolomorates? There's nothing liberal about American media unless you consider your typical S&P 100 company to be "liberal".

Gingritch is getting his month as the "anti-Romney" in the spotlight, nothing more or less. God knows why romney was picked to be the GOP condidate since he doesn't fit any of the criteria, but none of the other candidates are even sane, much less electable. Ron paul hasn't a chance of surviving the GOP party leaders.

You can believe what you like, but apparently, South Carolina republicans believe that the liberal media is in fact despicable. I can assure you that there are tens of millions of people from places that you've probably never visited (like South Carolina) that are really, really fed up with liberal media bias. Fox News is successful not because they are "fair and balanced" (they're not, for the most part, aside from a few notable on-air personalities), but because they successfully positioned themselves against the awful, horrible, liberal media. Which is accurately recognized as being, in fact, despicable, by a huge chunk of the US population.

Agree about why Fox is successful. But they have pulled some crap that is equally despicable to whatever the Lib Media has been doing for years and years. Fox only seems less despicable because they haven't been at it as long. The hell with all of them.

Monday's NBC debate was full of good stuff provided as the 3 set up men reinforecd the brilliance of Ron Paul. It was as if the clowns would battle and dribble over idiotic deas that, left unchallanged, might seem resonable. But when Ron Paul was able to beg for air time, he'd simply use common sense making the others look like toast.

I especially enjoyed how Paul received an ovation (in a debate with rules limiting such) after Frothy, Slick and Slimey were ranting about the need to war with the weakling Cuba. Mr. Paul simply stated that Americans are ready for relations, making money, letting the markets work. The crowd applauded more so than any other point I saw in the night. People are sick of the idiodome of war first relations later. Espeically from a hackle of bumbling idiots who act like Cuba is ever or has ever been a threat. Funny how easy it is to forget where Guantanamo is located.

My "favorite" part of the debate was not 10 minutes after Newt went on one of his history-lesson/name-dropping diatribes, he suddenly morphed into Humble Newt and began talking about how he was so honored to be up on the stage and that the American people would consider him as POTUS.

In a list of all-time hypocrites, Newt is easily #1

Did you even watch the debate?  Wasn't Ron Paul's explanation clear enough?  How can people continue to not understand??

Shutting down the empire doesn't mean shutting down the military.  It means bringing them home instead.  Instead of being in the military and spending your entire time overseas, you'd spend it in South Carolina or at worst a border state.  Plus, imagine how much more we could pay our military if we didn't have the war costs?  Imagine how much more money we'd have for education and housing and...and...

Why is the concept so hard to understand?  The fucking programming for pro-empire disgusts me.

Barry can't get enough Hebe dick.  The zionists call him "Bukkake Barry."

Scooped off the street by his pederast Hebe Guardian, George S., Young Barry was sent to the best schools ill-gotten gains could buy. Guided by crafty evil zionists, young Barry came to believe he was of jewish origin in Ethiopia. Later, he joined the IDF and then the Mossad, who created a phony muslim "cover" for the now gangling, marxist youth. Smuggled into America, he posed as a Black Nationalist, all the time gathering Intel for the Mossad. Although gay, he faked a marriage and rented 2 kids from a fellow zionist in Central Casting. Aided by the Mossad-CIA, he began to build another cover as a "community organizer."

"Und now, my young ward," said George one day, "it iss time for you to enter pol-e-tics. Ve haff plans for you.... come, I shall explain our plan to Rule Ze Vorld......."

I pretty much agree 100% with your thesis...

Part A of the plan is as you describe...

Part B of the plan is to then, somehow, "spin" the negative effects of "whoever's WATCH it goes down on"... Needless to say, nobody wants it to go down on their watch, but I think Obama has proved himself that he will whore himself out to be the lawn boy on this one for a couple of more rides on Air Force One & a fully tricked out limo... I think his wife loves to order $1,000 bottles of champagne to go with the large bucket & curly fries as well... It's a habit that's hard to break & is worth saving at all costs...

& anyway... "Spin" isn't as hard as it used to be in a society where people have the attention spans of gnats (combined with IQ's that are probably lower)...

If Newt and Mitt beat each other to Hell maybe Ron can quietly chip away at the caucus states and bring in enough delegates to get his momentum going and come on strong at the end and steal the thing. I'm staying positive. If the thing drags on and people wake up and finally say No to Newt. No to Mitt that they are just both too hideous then Ron Paul could squeak in. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. The alternatives are just too unapealing to me. I personaly don't understand how a human being would vote for Newt or Mitt flaunting his Bain Cash and grinning. You'd have to have some sort of personal defect to want either of the two as your leader.

We can hope.

I can't imagine how either Romney or Gingrich could possibly make it through:  A career politician-lobbyist pretneding to be a Washington outsider while also trying to remake his image as an avuncular historian whose serial philandering is no big deal and will never happen again because he's found religion and a happy homelife (even as Callista keeps an eagle eye on him to make sure that he's never alone with another woman) vs:

A multimillionaire who paid 13.9% in income taxes with accounts in the Cayman Islands at a time when people have profound distrust of bankers, hedge fund managers, the top 1%, anyone with offshore accounts and (thanks to Obama, Pelosi & Reid -- themselves all very wealthy) the very successful because they don't believe those people could possibly understand the problems of ordinary Americans.  And they're probably right.

Santorum is a non-issue.

Ron Paul is the only person in the race that I have any belief actually would do something about the explosion of government spending.  His position on bringing the troops home rather than empire building throughout the world makes perfect sense to me.

If not Ron Paul, it'll be another term for Obama.

Watch the money pour into Gingriches coffers as a result of this... Look at it this way, on a income of 50 million taxed at 15%,  a 5% increase in taxes equals 2.5 million per annum or 10 million over a 4 year term.... throwing a couple of million at Gingrichs Super-Pac would give you one hell of a return on your investment...even if Newt doesn't win... Great Guy Santorum, 16 years and so many bills named after him due to his leadership, so popular in his home state he could not get re-elected as an incumbent. Voted for no child left behind and medicare part D and numerous earmarked bills, yea he's a real independent leader that thinks for himself. Go Rick

control of women's wombs is very godly - it's not about "teh babeees" - or there would be more attention paid to child poverty, currently running at about 20%, and obviously will continue to rise - it's about control.

I would find that hilarious, if it wasn't so goddamn stomach-turning that the best three men our country can put forth are Obama and these two assholes.  Really?  Is that how far our nation has fallen?  Morally and mentally bankrupt, to the very fucking core.

What's even worse?  I watched a segment on the local news and they had a reporter out interviewing people on the streets about what they are looking for in a candidate.  Every response was some variation on  "Integrity" and "Someone who follows through on his words".  And it's not only my local news, it's the same everywhere.  But, if that is really an accurate snapshot of the public opinion, Ron Paul should be leading Romney by a 98% margin.  But he isn't.  So are people lying about what they want in a candidate?  Or are they too stupid to see through these phony bastards?  Both, maybe.  Or maybe they don't even count the fucking votes.  Nothing would surpise me at this point.

Newt and Mitt should never have even made it this far, they should have been laughed off the stage months ago and their candidacies written off as bad political jokes. Flipper and the two dollar man whore, yet here they are slugging it out for the nomination...if this doesn't prove the paradigm beyond any reasonable doubt to people than nothing ever will.

and who neutered that moderator, he had the opportunity to crush Newt yet he just waved at it as it passed by, sorry but the hard stare down just wasn't that intimidating. maybe that was the set-up from the start Newt knew it was coming and they had already rehearsed the script. I would love to see Alex Jones moderate the next debate, sure it would be a bloodbath, but it would be very entertaining watching Mittens and the man whore squirm on the stage.

Gingrich, (a polyp on the DC colon of corruption) as a former lobbyist for Freddie Mac maintains he's an 'outsider', serially cheats in a despicable fashion on ill spouses as he promotes the sanctity of family and claims such accusations by the media are despicable and those journalists in the MSM don't counter this obvious hogwash by pointing out the inherent hypocrisy?

Shouldn't Vince McMahon be moderating these debates?

Wait, I get it...their business is actually hypocrisy suppression...Keep the sheeple asleep so that they may be pliant recipients for all the other pharma drug products they push during the commercial breaks.

If the medium is the message, then the MSM message is you are a laughable zombie.  No wonder TPTB embrace eugenics.  It's a test.

At this point I think I might change my vote from Ron Paul to Obama.

I believe America must go through full economic collapse before any substantial change for the better can be made.  The existing government and financial system must fall completely to the ground before it can be replaced by something better.

As long as that has to happen, we might as well get on with it, not keep trying to put it off.

I believe Obama will bring America to full collapse faster than Ron Paul would, so it would make sense to vote for Obama.

... and let's hope America's (numerous) enemies around the world don't take advantage of America's collapse to finish America off once and for all.

But it's a risk we have to take.

You would think the republicans could dig up some better facemen than Romney, Santorum and Newt.  The only guy up there that has not had his beak wet in the corruption trough is Ron Paul.  It seems like these other three guys have a real hatred for the Iranian people and Muslims in general.  I know there are some Muslims out there who would love to kill some more infidels but from my experience with them while growing up and through business, the ones I know want to provide for their families, have a home, maybe catch a soccer match etc.  There are major cultural differences to be sure but they are not all Wahabis.  Being a conservative I can not bring myself this election to hold my nose and vote for anyone but Ron Paul, even if I have to write him in.

These dopes think Ron Paul is weak on defense , but we would actually be stronger without our troops and bases spread over the globe.  Its not like you can't send a bomber or cruise missiles anywhere in the world in under 24 hours anyways, kind of like a virtual base.  Maybe I am turning into a pussy or something, but man I am sick of non-stop conflicts, seeing our guys getting maimed and killed in these wars.  When I got my first real job out of graduate school I worked for two Vietnam vets and they had a different view of conflict and I have to say it was a real education to hear some of their stories.  A friend of mine was killed in Iraq protecting UN diplomats, what a waste, he was worth 1000 times more than them.  Maybe these candidates should sit for a couple of days with the returning vets and get educated on the human costs of conflict.

Maybe Rand Paul next time, but the Paul name will have the press out yelling wingnut. Mostly likely it is just hopeless and we will see a complete collapse.

I'v said it before, and I will say it again: Ron Paul is the ONLY republican candidate that can draw away enough independant and democrap voters to win the White House for the GOP. Period. Mitt or Newt will guarantee an Obama second term. Get ready for four more years of the kenyan pretender. Phukk it, I am voting RP win or lose. If you want to influence policy, start donating to your alderman's campaign (or mayor if you're in a small town).  Whatever money you were planning on spending goes a lot farther with the local guys than at the national level.  Keep this in mind for voting too.  Local elections are often sparsely attended, so one vote goes a lot farther than at a state or national level.
