Dump-'em, Pump-'em, Dump-'em - The New Normal 'buy-and-hold' model is stable this week. Equity market continued to follow the same path day-in and day-out this week as the distance between the 50DMA and Monday's morning gap becomes smaller and smaller.

ES BTFD, STFR...

and longer-term...

Is there a such thing as investment grade any longer? Or is it just a matter of how close you are to the money printers?

Why did we spike today?  It makes absolutely no sense.  JPM is dying, but consumer sentiment is up?  Huh?

That makes it easier.  Then the HFT algo can walk the prices up and down at will.

It makes perfect sense when you understand they let this news out on a Thursday instead of Friday  after close for some reason. Everybody and their sister is looking for that black swan event. Ben and his magic printer will make sure that doesn't happen,  not in way that you or I can profit from  anyway, only those people  on the inside.

Slaughterer,

Apparently the recent past (when the poll was conducted) is more important than the present.

Somebody correct this report.  It is the 100 exponential DMA we are bouncing off of everyday, not the 50DMA.

I'd guess the NY Fed doesn't mined if stocks need to re-correlate to context. They just don't want anyone trying to profit from it.. so slice and dice and churn until all the bears retreat back to the sidelines then gap lower inline.

What I find interesting is that when a stock goes parabolic that they keep it there for 5 days to make sure that margin calls are completed.  After that the stock falls like a rock, with no support.

Could someone explain this gem quoted from Bloomberg and perhaps show me how can I leave Narnia?

"Consumer confidence rose in May to the highest level in four years, led by gains among upper-income Americans that may contribute to a pickup in spending on expensive items like furniture and appliances."

HFT ain't good for me. CDS's gonna make some messes. TBTF gonna fall off a cliff. Wall Street is dead meat. Banks so bold layin' dead and cold. Gonna be prepper people, and the rest of the Sheeple. God bless this mess. I'm a poet, and didn't know it.

Go long on ammo. Food. Firewood. Seeds. Tools. Fitness. Knowledge. Friends who think the same way. Invest in a new way of thinking. It will pay out a really good dividend. Oh, and invest in rope for yesterday's movers and shakers who got us here.

No one to buy the Streets shares, so they needed to pump stocks to try and create a short squeeze to find buyers.

The market is in neat "meat grinder"/distribution mode. If retail gets involved they get ground up. One day soon, we'll have a 2% day, DOWN. You have to be NUTS to get involved in this market.

Sorta nuts.

Need a little mental illness to be able to grin while stacking shit off the falling metals prices.

However I have a feeling sunrise on Monday next, everything's going to go straight up while the Markets continue to hemorrhage and grind paper to pulp.
