Before you make your holiday donations consider this

The American Red Cross, The United Way and UNICEF have all taken on the same characteristics as a government bureaucracy; a small group of insiders feeding at the trough, with little left over to carry out their original mandates.

Kyle Bass is the best, truest interview ever on CNBC

Wed, 12/14/2011 - 11:39 | 1978769 Dr. Richard Head
Dr. Richard Head's picture

I live his verbal ticks.  When he starts his sentence with "SO" it makes me think he is reallysaying, "Look you cheerleader for speculators, there are the fucking numbers.  Get it through your head.  I am not giving you a character judgement, just giving you the facts.  Wrap it around your head please."

Kind of like when Ron Paul says "WELL" at the beginning of his sentences or when he finishes one with "BELIEVE ME".

I will be incorporating these Truth Ticks when I am putting a verbal hammer down.

It has become trendy in some circles to start an explanation with "So". I've noticed in several interviews lately. I have to admit, and I'm not gay, it's kind of sexy when Bass does it.

Obama's key word is "Look". When he starts a sentence with "Look" you know a lie is forthcoming.

We are experiencing the ramifications of the same lesson that seemingly happens every generation-  prestigous intellectuals announce that they have figured out how to trump the business cycle, but it will require massive government intervention, a 'group effort, if you will.  This has happened over and over again throughout American history.  And the outcome is virtually always the same- a huge hangover, and decades of stagnation and chaos until some refurbished theory becomes the new cult de jour.

Bernanke is a poltical animal. He understands that the Fed us currently being viewed as a wealth creator for the upper 10%.He doesn't want the Fed to be "the issue" of 2012.

It is an election year. He will not get involved in another QE until the S&P falls to around 900-950. That target happens when the EU start breaking apart.

Also the major difference between what is going to happen in Europe in 2012 versus what happened in the USA in 2008, is going to be the violence that accompanies this crash. What will catch people completely off guard is that the citizens of the EU take to the streets quickly, in great numbers and violently.

There were no molotov cocktails tossed in 2008. There will be in 2012.

I agree with your sentiment and evaluation, lizzie, but it’s a fact that Bernanke already is involved in on-going QE, albeit clandestinely. For a political animal, he appears to be on the run.  As Jim Willie put it (with Mises chart): The US Federal Reserve has fooled a lot of people into believing that the grand monetary pump and debt monetization project has been put on hold. The only thing that changed was their talking publicly about it. The money press has been working to the limit, never stopped.

I also take issue that the bottom rung on the high 10% income ladder (2009 earnings $112,124+), is coming out ahead in this Fed heist; I think those people are paying big time.

A surge in the price of stocks that often occurs in the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. There are numerous explanations for the Santa Claus Rally phenomenon, including tax considerations, happiness around Wall Street, people investing their Christmas bonuses and the fact that the pessimists are usually on vacation this week.

Santa Nanke is stealing from savers; his Wall Street Thi-elves, led by Blankfein the Gold-headed rein-man, robbing the investors.

“Now Dudley! Now, Corzine! now Dimon and Ruben! On Summers! on Romer, on Pickerell and Greenberg! To the vaults in the Treasury, out the Congressional Hall! Now, dash away!! Dash away! Dash away All!”

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the bags, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard them exclaim, ‘ere they drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, we had a good-night!"

Bears cancel Xmas.

SP500 daily chart resumes choppy downtrend. Opposite for USDX.

My long term indicators have continued to warn of USD strength and EURO weakness and these signals have increased since 2009. The overdue dollar rally should be substantial.
