Did LME 'Flash Crash' Forewarn NFP Debacle
Long before the magnificent NFP headline data mesmerized USD buyers and flushed commodities down the pan, Copper at the LME saw a 'Flash Crash' and was forced to cancel all trades for the 646amET timestamp. Considering the post-'flash' action, it seems yet again a flash crash gives us a glimpse of reality.
The orange oval shows the flash crash event and then shortly afterwards the red oval shows the market's reaction to the NFP print.

Flash Crash Bitchez!
Remember when Zero Hedge commentary used to have some insightful opinions instead of the big race to see who can post the quickest irrelevant and trivial vomit the fastest?
In the words of Harry Carey, "Wha happund?"
May I present a "very bold plan" that ZH actually keeps a cumulative +/- arrow for posters and then just ranks comments automatically not by time stamp but by the most constructive posters first? Wall Street Oasis does something like this with being able to throw "monkey shit" at brain dead posters, but ranking the commentors (off of net of + - instead of just biggest plus. Tyler is a smart guy he could even time average the nets over the last 30 days to make it more sporting.
Either that or bring back the math problem post verification system to filter out a few more of the idiots.
Pretty please?
I feel like I am looking at a drudge report posted commentary section these days...
^^^Thank God somebody finally said it...
Remember when people didn't respond to the first post with OT nonsense so they could be at the top of the commentaries?
this place is full of redditors anyway. at least we'll feel at home.
the problem is that they can always start a new profile I'd imagine. Bitchez
(can't believe somebody finds that funny)
Plus, any post with the word 'bitches' in it should automatically drop to the bottom of the list.
Of course I chose the least trolled article to post it on. At the risk of the boobirds coming out I may have to strategically repost it sometime.
That was just Congress closing out their positions
OT: I seem to remember MF stock start to wobble and stress just as the silver market cracked in a big way as though correlated in some way but I'm probably wrong about it.
L-Oil-L! My little bet in SCO is paying off.
Around 7 am, the Canadian jobs report came out and it was down 19k versus up 20k expected. The Canadian jobs report has been a good indicator of the US jobs report that comes out later in the morning. The timing is close but still may not explain the flash crash.
Maybe it was a Canadian leak. There has been discussion around the fact that Canadian numbers are perhaps too widely distributed during the embargo period.
This week is one for the record books, this level of manipulation is quite simply incredible ... And for what ? of course to save the year for those long all the rubbish out there...As soon as '11 is over, watch out below...
probably just JPM plugging in some more Halos to match is increased ownership stake that it just bought form MF Global
Advance notice of margin increases? Will have to wait till after markets close tonight.
This is the kind of event I expect to occur in Silver and Gold, perhaps overnight so the demons can jump on board before the metals rocket ship heads to the moon. Maybe they can tie it to killing Osama "again" as they did on Sunday evening 5/1/11!?
Leaked to JPM. Bitches
