It takes controlled blast furnace 2,500 degree conditions to smelt iron (reduce iron ore to liquid iron).
It takes enormous amounts of air heated to 500 or so degrees blown into the bottom of the furnace where a carefully controlled mixture of iron ore, coke, and limestone "burn" at 2,500 - 2,700 degrees to reduce iron ore to liquid iron.
Further processing is needed in a 2,500 - 3,000 degree steel-making furnace to remove enough carbon and other impurities to make steel. The "open hearth" furnace removes excess carbon and other impurities with additives. "QBOP" and similar furnaces use heated air mixed with pure oxygen blown up through the liquid iron to burn out excess carbon and other impurities.
NO type of traditional fire, regardless of how big it is, gets anywhere near hot enough to smelt iron nor make steel.

How can WTC #7 be a planned demolition without knowing the WTC tower closest that was hit by a plane would actually collapse and a chunk of it (the tower was hit near a corner so a portion leaned outward as it fell) would damage WTC #7, giving the demo of #7 cover? You do know that WTC #7 was damaged, right? I thought the twin towers were 'sploded so they would fall straight down - well, how does a building falling straight down hit #7 (as this one did) to provide cover for its demolition? Or, you think that #7 was set up for demo after the attacks, in just a few hours? If you nutcases would concede that #7 didn't actually "fall strtaight down into its footprint" then you might have a case for a hastily-assembled set of charges. And if you'd let up on the "#1 and #2 fell straight down from controlled demolition' then you could argue that the gash in #7 was somehow planned. Yea, I know all about blast furnaces, and there wasn't anything approaching blast furnance conditions up there.
A blast furnace operates around 2,500 degrees. The highest temp up there was around 500 - 600 degrees tops. That's not even 1/4 of blast furnace temp.
Even children understand that blowing on flames increases temperature. Why throw out common sense to remain married to conspiracy theroy? I never said that there were blast furnace conditions, only that the wind blowing through the burning buildings can raise the temperatures of static fires significantly, acting like a bellows.
There's no reason to believe all parts of the fires, raging through 40,000 s.f floor plates, burned at the same temperature or received fresh air, so some combustion would be inefficient.

Tall buildings weigh a shitload. They do. So if you just throw steel at them they tend to get heavy and collapse on their own. So we have briliant structural engineers, such as yourself, designing buildings with minimum amounts of steel, just enough to support themselves and interior loads (live loads) plus a safety factor of about 50%. That means the building is about 50% overbuilt (any more and it can't be built as tall or else - yep - it collapses under it's own weight, or from the slightest load shift from, say, wind).
Then, we protect steel from heat with fireproofing. All over the world. And even on your home planet of Zork. Now, when just a bit of the structure is compromised by a litle thing like a jet airlibner flying hundreds of miles an hour, you have problems. But, due to sound engineering the building still stands. However, as the fires burn the structure heats up and weakens, and the impact has removed fireproofing from many of the columns. Steel bends and loads become what is known as eccentric, which is bad. So eventually it falls.
Any more retards want to bring up the other towers that burned, did not fall, but neither did an airliner rip their structure asunder and blow off critical fireproofing?

The invasion of Afghanistan was 3 weeks after 9-11. They couldn't even plan a press conference in 3 weeks, let alone an invasion, so everything was "ready to roll" on the day of 9-11. On top of that, a large British naval fleet "happened" to be on exercise in the Mediterranean on 9-11 and continued on to Afghanistan to support the US invasion. Very convenient.
The planning for 9-11 as a showcase event by the shadow government began around 1995 (it could have been earlier, that's as far back as I can trace it). Then, around 1998, Afghanistan was added to the menu due to the Taliban's obstinacy in the profit share "negotiations" with Unocal over the planned oil pipeline across Afghanistan. Shortly thereafter, those negotiations broke down completely and the US started making threats.
In response to those escalating threats, the Taliban ripped up all the opium poppy fields in 2000 (rather than just continuing the ineffective ban on opium production of the previous year). This caused the 2001 opium (and therefore heroin) harvest to fall by 96% ... so a full-on invasion of Afghanistan by the NATO drug cartel became of the utmost urgency to get those poppies back in the ground!!!
One year after the invasion, opium production in Afghanistan had already been brought back to pre-2000 levels and continued to rise to new records in the following years to make up for the loss of production in 2000.
The Iraq-WMD issue arose later due to Sadman Hussein causing difficulties with the petro-dollar, and was just piggy-backed onto the Afghanistan exercise and the pre-planned continuous 'War of Terror' and 'Patriot Act' -- in much the same way that Lincoln piggy-backed the slavery issue onto the Civil War, long after the beginning, in order to boost enlistments when it looked like the North was about to lose.
An event like 9-11 rarely has a single purpose. It starts out with a single purpose, then others are added on as circumstances unfold and more senior individuals come into the "need to know", adding their pet projects into the mix.
