Eurozone To Avoid Any Popular Vote In Treaty Change

Tyler Durden's picture

Why bother with the one true barbarous relic - democracy - when good ole' fascism will suffice. As The Telegraph's Bruno Waterfield reports, "EU to avoid any votes - parliamentary or popular on treaty change - via obscure Lisbon Treaty 'passerelle' clause, Art. 126 (14) via protocol 12. "This decision does not require ratification at national level. This procedure could therefore lead to rapid and significant changes," says confidential Van Rompuy text. Funnily enough, only Britain will have to have a parliamentary vote under the Tories recent Sovereignty Act even though it is eurozone only changes." And that is how a bunch of corrupt kleptocratic incompetent eurocrats usurp all power in a regime now entirely controlled by Goldman Sachs. Unless, of course, the UK once again stops the insurgent takeover of the insolvent continent by the squid.

Of course, the one person the chart above ignores is US ambassador to Germany, Philip Murphy, a 23 year retired partner of... Goldman Sachs.

this is all about colonial jealousy. the eurozone is just jealous of the way things are run in the usa and china and want the same centrally planned economy. it is so much easier nat having to care what the 99% think. now all they have to do is arm their ploce like a paramilitary force starting with a huge order of pepper spray and tasers.

Sorry bitchez, the chances of Cameron sticking up for the interests of the British people and defending the country against the coup d'etat currently being waged by the banksters in mainland Europe are slim and none, and slim as they say, just left town.

He is choosing his weasel words very carefully, allowing himself maximium wriggle room to do a 180 and doublecross later on :

Mr Cameron indicated that he does not expect any treaty change significant enough to require a referendum, suggesting that the issue of whether or not to call one will not arise.

He added: 'I have always said that if there is treaty change in Europe then we will make sure that Britain gets something in order to enhance, protect, defend and promote our national interest in Europe. I think that is absolutely the key...

'If there is treaty change at the level of 27, then Britain has its desires and requests to make sure our relationship with Europe is properly managed.'

Ie., tyranny is now complete! There is no liberty left for Europeans!

And Wall St., as usual, loves it!

Why do the people in Europe tolerate this? I think that in part they have bought the idea that their rulers are some sort of experts and know better, even though the people also are cynical and know their rulers are most interested in the banks. Some may say that things have to get worse for them to wake up. I don't know, as I have also heard that people are more likely to have the energy to revolt if they are not starving.

I am getting increasingly worried about the political preparations on the national level. If you look at German media, there is a pseudo threat of right wing extremists created. Detected out of nowhere, being tied to so called nationalist crimes of the last decade, very much fabricated. Also, national intelligence services seem involved.  Protagonists killed and burried. And massive media campaign on top to guide public opinion. I get the sense, if true or not, there is a political will to shy away people from any extremist wing that would stand up in the case of a political coup by the elite. Masses are thoroughly guided towards newly formed protest parties such as the pirate party, that opposes the current political regime but at its core is weak and no true opposition.

Am I getting paranoid? No, I don't think so. A closer look even increases the doubts and makes it a very opportunistic play for the political and economic elite.

BTW: Just compare the silly freak show in the US, Cain, Bachman. If the public falters on the political alternatives, expect the new regime to step up its activities.

oh and the kicker, it is blamed on the late detection by intelligence services. They are now ordered to increase activities concerning spying on the public and infiltrating any emerging political movement.

Apparently learned nothing from the last century, but what would you expect, if the public is taught third Reich troop movements in school and not the drivers that led from economic disaster to dictatorship and fascism.

Merkel AND Sarkozy are just puppets. Likewise Monti, Cameron etc. There is and always will be greater powers and ideas at work for the eurozone.

Obviously Merkel can't be seen to sell out Germany but this drama is reminiscent of the US debt ceiling power plays and every other orchestrated attempt to use fear and media whitewash to push through methods of delaying the inevitable.

A power grab is under way to secure a fiscal union on the sly. The next stage will be to initiate a political union. Eurobonds and ECB QE would kick the can down the road for years but you're not allowed to fix a problem too quick these days.

You first have to cover every possible angle when it comes to screwing the populace and destroying democracy.
