FaceBerg Diverges From Founder Age
A $27 handle... that is all. Just two brief (billionaire-list-demoting) weeks ago, Mark Zuckerberg passed 28 years old, any guesses where the FB stock price will be when he passes 29?
FB Option-Land
Open-Interest was over 5 to 4 biased to Puts at last night's close and today's volume is over 6 to 5 biased to Puts - with the June $30 Calls most active (against the June $30 Puts yesterday). 365k lots yesterday compares with 170k lots so far today.

5 bucks.
This will be a penny stock long before it gets taken over by Yahoo.
I'll buy that for a dollar! Remember the movie "Running Man"?
Priceless literally
Only thing funnier than an old grey haired dude posing with porn stars (Clinton) is FB longs getting blowtorched.
LOL.
I see it at a Aushwitz equivalent of a silver tooth = $6 Shalom everyone!
$6.66
Nothing funny about losing ones capital, Any trader worth his salt has felt the heat of that "blowtorch"
What a bunch....
Wasn't that Robocop?
You ZH guys keep insisting on facts as if they matter. You are hereby sentenced to three years at a cultural sensitivity center to watch Dancing With The Stars and American Idol reruns. fnord
I think it's funny that people keep giving price targets, when it's obvious there's not only no discovery process, but the standard of measure is made of Silly Putty. if the circus wants to promote FB to the center ring, well then, it will happen, regardless of what the mass of carbon-based entities desire.
Any estimates of valuations in dollars only hold true for the shortest of time spans.
Yeah, I think it was (Robocop)!
Yup!!
wasn't that robocop?
actually it was robocop..
I was thinking the same thing.
But then I realized I would probably be overpaying.
Maybe a nickel.
It was Robocop
FaceTitanic should initiate a Dividend Yield of 4% to rope in some institutional buying, otherwise Falling Brick will go to $5 for a market cap of $10b similar to LNKD.
LNKD is trading somewhere close to 700 times earnings. It's due to tank any minute, but somehow manages to hang out around $100 a share.
They just want to be the RIMM version of FB...wait,
Stock will go through a series of ups and downs as each revenue generation idea is rolled out, only to be followed by large groups of users heading for the exits.
Stock eventually drifts to $5 and Zuck & Co. take it private with an initial bid around $9 and a deal somewhere around $12. Maybe not within a year, but this is my prediction.
That's about a $5 billion buyback for an initial $16 billion feed. Less fees and other ancillaries that probably a 250% ROI.
Who said Social Media doesn't make money?
FB = Future Bankruptcy
FaceBook = FacePlant (for investors who bought it at IPO)
Faceberg == Iceberg
With an ICEBERG, you can see the 10% that's visible, and 90% is hidden under the water.
With FACEBERG, there is NOTHING under the water and the 10% above is melting quick.
Time for a Blockbuster Hit: Titanic Hits the Faceberg
In related news, the DNC announced a significant reduction in political ads this year. DNC head dip-shit Debbie Whatshername Schultz put all of the campaign war chest into FB on opening day. The queen of no-brains, says, "it seemed like such a no-brainer" ...
I can dream still, eh?
But seriously, that is the FB bright spot. It must have been mostly lefties who got zuckered. Who else falls so completely for hope and hype?
Cheap Fu*kerberg is in Italy on his honeymoon. He had a 36 euro meal with his doggy wife and the cheap bastard did not leave a tip.
He later tried to get money out of an ATM machine and could not figure out why it did not work. Evil little C*A puppet.
$20 puts please.
chapter 7?
Hello Morgan, say hello to a lawsuit or 10,000.....
Too big to allow to fail?
It's MUCH WORSE than that, Decay dood.
This thing is cratering and by the time the 90 day safe harbor period ends and the insiders can cash out, we AND CALIFORNIA'S BUDGET, could be looking at numbers south of $10.
FYI California is leaning heavily on tax revs from these doods selling for billions of cap gains. If it doesn't come, the legislature will be in suicide territory.
Does that come before or after August expiration on Aug 17th? When did they bring this pig public again?
If it doesn't come, the legislature will be in suicide territory.
It's hyperbolic statements like that that lead to disappointment!
$6 for the win.
At the current rate of decay (~ -$1/day), FB will be -$323
[Cramer]You'd be crazy not to buy at this price[/Cramer]
Wait you mean a Facebook phone isnt a good idea? Or buying a browser company(Opera)? Or charging people to post? Who woulda thunk it.
I was wondering how long Opera would make it before getting wined and dined by the CIA.
So... who owns Lynx, I wonder?
Only idiots and morons bought that pig, can't wait for it to level hovering just over $20 and then the next big news of a major breach taking personal info from millions will tank it to $10 overnight.
Decoupling.
Could go to $100........then again could go to $0.
That sure is taking a firm stand! Are you an analyst for Goldman Sachs?
$19 by Jan 2013 and by 2014 it will be in single figures
I bid three.
cents
what a mutt stock. i dont know much but i remeber drinking beer with my buddies in 1999 still in high school and laughing at the idiots clamoring for "dot com" stocks.... de ja vu??
Don#t you know that FacePlant has the potential to be another MySpace one day!
Fubaark!
TPTB are going to actually let the "market" play this one out? Why do I get the feeling I am being set up? More puts please. I believe some former "bond vigilantes" are finding a new place to channel their aggression. How long until "selling" is illegal?
Wow, looks like I wasted money on FB121222P00025000.O, I absolutely did not expect it to be allowed to tank anywhere near this fast.
It is hard to believe there isn't a concerted effort to prop this thing up. Am I playing the wrong game?
$13 and change? (both headed for six feet under eventually)
I bet he's (Zuckerberg) thinking of hiding in that hoodie now!
"My stock is so Zucked up!"
Cramer should issue a public apology, then admit he is hiding Corzine in his basement this entire time.
DtR
where's Margin Stanley?
Working with the next Suckerherd
The only way FB could generate any real revenue is to totally destroy it with advertising which will put people off and drive them away, or sell all of it's information.
This bitch is going to $5 bucks.
I totally agree...and I used this Iphone tool called Wisdom Tree to do analytics on the average FaceBook user...and the bulk of the users are between the ages of 12-25 - the group that has no money!
And no jobs! Not even McJobs!
and not a lot of attention span when the next toy comes along.
I'm a 1%er on FB and have never clicked on an ad, prob now use FB mobile over 50% of the time where there are no ads. I'm sure younger people are on FB mobile more than that.
In fact in my lifetime, I've probably never clicked on more than a handful of ads online, ever.
But I think I'll start clicking on obama ads like crazy, to ding them a few bucks.
Maybe I should start a click sweatshop, how much would companies pay me to click on competitors ads? haha.
I'm waiting for the story to come out someday (on ZH, of course) how they've been using Farmville clicks to feed ad clicks behind the scenes. All they have to do is to find a way to mask the traffic, and Poof! revenue appears.
Zucks plan is for the shares to bottom out at the 3 month lock-up right after the Winklevoss brothers sell. It's all part of a plan.
Big run next week, Cramer hates it at 27, but he will love it at 35, then hate it again at 4.
Yea, execute my trade at 28....off to buy a new PC tomorrow, will get faceless tonight
:-)
Considering how he treated his old partners and whom his bankers were (and how they have acted), I'm surprised the sheeple expected anything else. You deal with dishonest people, you get dishonest deals.
Depends only on what number QE we're on at the time.
"You don't even know what the thing is yet." - Sean Parker, The Social Network
And investors still don't.
Facebook is going to $5 this year and $3 next year. It won't be a bargain till it hits $1.50.
Sounds about right ...
Sounds like the next myspace.
I knew this IPO was doomed when my broker sent me a message asking me if I wanted to participate in the FB IPO. That has never ever happened to me before.
I had a Nigerian banker inform me that I had inherited 278,000,000 Facebook shares, but to be released, they will need a $2500 release authorization fee. Good deal?
So Obama is claiming he's Nigerian now?
Yep. Just pick up a copy of his latest NYT must-read, "Dreams of my Mugu"
I think I would take 278,000,000 FB shares for $2500- not all Nigerians are scammers - I think there are a few who are honest. This one sounds fairly valued -actually a pretty good deal.
32 handle on JPM--things are getting interesting, very interesting.
Call me when their stock price drops below Ag spot.
Ohhhh Bernankeeeeee !!!!
I predict that Facebook will be BK and extinct when Zukerberg hits 29.
It's gone down every single day since they issued it so at it's current trajectory it will be worth around 62 cents by next year...but if the market decides to value it at it's true worth before then that number could be way too high.
I can't decide who's more pathetic...The suckers who bought Facebook stock or the losers who waste their entire day on that stupid website.
You mean "Fuckbook"?
28 is the majic number. It's the Facebook stock price, Zuckerbergs age, and the IQ of anyone who bought Facebook stock.
I figure either Google, AAPL or Microsoft will tender an offer on its way to 10
keep figuring. but these are established companys with earnings and they can mount the same type of thing in no time. and besides, it's a fad. people are sick of all this stuff. facebook is the first fall out.
i nominate "faceberg" the ZH coined-phrase of the year...
which gives me a brilliant idea: let's do an end of the year awards thingy...you know, best-of/worst-of...that kind of shit. facebook users can vote, and then their votes can be overturned if they prove to be the aggregate opinion of imbeciles...whatever, believe in this popularity contest bullshit if you will, Tyler, however it's structured, it would be rather cool.
i nominate janus best poster of the new millenium!
your vote does not matter,
janus
I completely agree - FaceBerg is beyond priceless.
I prefer FACERIP
12 bucks, Maybe???
.29
One CME-Carrington event in the next year and FaceTanic goes to a one handle, and the next day to the pan-handle: Hoodie-to-hoodie in one generation, in one year.
I thought they had planned to roll out even MORE stock, which I'm guessing would make any existing stock even more worthless. Well, given something with no value can become even "more" worthless - only in the world of TBTF, right?
Been following this here on ZH for entertainment. The funniest bit so far had to be the "hiccup" at Nasqaq that accidentally tipped off the massive sell by the TBTF HFT algos, before they could finish fleecing the retail mob. Oopsies.
So can Morgan Stanley now discontinue the remaining "roll out" of the worthless stock, or what's up? You'd think that, if people knew the date when MORE of this crap stock was being dumped on the market, they'd "short" it for that date?
Are you sure they are planning on diluting the shares? You sure it wouldn't just be sales of existing shares they kept, rather than selling all of them on day 1? Of course, at this point any large sale would lower the price, unless the algos can be tricked into bidding them up.
at the insider lock up date will be lots of fun! haha. Zuck will have to sell millions more shares to pay his tax bill
I knew it was going to be a flop when my two teenage sons deleted their FB accounts. Somehow they think it's supported by a spy agency and sells their info to the highest bidder!
Geez, kids these days....
Oh, and I bid 2 cents as Facerock bottom...
I'm surprised there is still a market for it actually. Who is buying?
My ultimate contrarian indicator, my mom, validated the sell signal on FB. She called me out of the blue a couple days after FB when public. There were several missed calls too that she did not leave a message. She said "Do you think I should buy some shares of Facebook?.....Ah, Also, I would like to buy some Berkshire Hatheway, too."
She has a 100% do the opposite track record. Pure gold (or lead).
Next time I will post her findings immediately on ZH. Maybe Tyler can do you a guest post for me! What do you say TD?
BTW, we have a confirmed sell on Berkshire!
Market news 5/30/13 - Verizon down $0.33 today as its subsidiary FaceBook continues to lose market share amid plummeting ad revenue. Verizon purchased FaceBook in late November of 2012 at $6.50/share after a huge company scandal in which executives were found to be short 3.5 times the companies NASDAQ float.

faceplant? faceberg? you're killing me t-man...
" I'm 29 years old - living in a van - down by the river " Zuck you, motherzucker. That's where it is at. Paper poo poo, this is a stinker that's gonna be a sinker. No float for this turd stock. Bye bye.
Cramer is now saying they (Morgan Stanley) "played the public like chumps". He would know, he does it every day to the drooling morons that watch his show.
the drooling morons are every trading floor i can think of in manhattan where i guess they keep praying somebody will follow his advice.
DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE!!!!!!!!!!
Nope its going up. Retail is here to the rescue and their trader group led by none other than investor sage Howard Lindzon over at Stocktwits says so!
5/30/12 1:00PM

Pulling the trigger on a little $FB stock under 5000 shares. also sellling the July 25 puts right here as me @ppearlman get our facebook on.I can't wait for it to go to the price I paid to see the movie.
Sounds like the makin's of the mother of all short squeezes. I'm guessing these players are as naked as a baby's bum. With everybody on one side of the ship making the easy (apparently) bets, here comes the face ripper.
zuck has lost $5 billion in net worth since the ipo... and i get pissed when i lose 20 bux...
This stock will match Mark's age but only in cents!
i gradutated HS in 1977 and a bunch of classmates and I have been using facebook as a common meeting place to plan our 35th reunion which will be this July. that is why I go to facebook. to talk to old friends. i honestly could not even tell you who advertises on facebook. when i look to buy something online i search for the product. i don't go to facebook to see if i can buy it through one of their advertisers. while this is a very simplistic description i think it hits on why facebook is worth zero. i would never use it to purchase something. don't give a crap who advertises with them. i would not look to support them, not out of spite, but because it is not my MO when it comes to buying online or anywhere else. you can't change an old fart's MO.
Like Nero Zuckerberg watches the world burn in Italy. Wonder what it feels like to lose 5 billion.
Is it just me or does theglobe.com come to mind to anybody else except for the opposite. No IPO pop (they learned their lesson from that crap). Now they over price the IPO's for no POP so the insiders and owners can sell off and you have to wait to get in. Still shady. Stay far far away from any IPO. No wonder why the USA has such a low amount of IPO's. I personally don't feel like getting in on something that is going to lose 50 percent so the insiders can profit off of me.
FB will hit $100- a new dotcom era is coming. Obama and Ben have saved the planet. A new golden age is about to begin. Gays will soon be able to marry-the age of Aqueeryass is upon us. Ron Paul was wrong -the alarmists were wrong. Bomb Iran -nuke the Russians and China- Ben can and will print us to prosperity. Goldman Sachs truly is doing God's work- everyone relax. Everything is going to be all right. BTFD.
just BTFD and STFU
$0.29 is my guess.
Zuckie screwed up. You do the IPO in conjunction with the movie, not over a year later.
Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein said that the financial industry was doing "God's Work." He never said what God they working for, though.
