This so awesome. I contacted my broker last night and asked him to buy me 300 shares. When he asked what my maximum bid price is, I literally said "anything - just get me my shares". This is history in the making, and I am going to tell my grandkids this story when they’re inheriting my stock at multiples of the current price.

MDB !!!

I'm fucking wetting myself with you. Glad you're back

Truly a wild event with the HFT quote parade underway -- something to tell the grandkids alright.

"Markets were totally manipulated by random phantom price action, back in my day, kid"

Aziz's picture

I think this is the first time I've ever seen an MDB comment with more green than red. Black swan event.

WonderDawg's picture

People are starting to catch on the MDB's sarcasm. Which is perfect this morning.

MDB is a gifted polemicist. I debated him awhile back, on mirc, during one of those open nights that ZH used to have. I think it was him. He carried on a rhetorically pitch-perfect Ben Bernanke logical-reply series that was hilarious. I finally gave up, laughing at such a skilled, on-the-fly impersonation. Later I wondered if he's a poster child for Wall Street's problem of too much clever intelligence applied to financial engineering, but the markets are connected to everything so it makes sense to have some with a wide facility for topical coverage and rhetorical flair.

MDB missed Wall Street flogging over-priced junk (their only speciality) in the 2000.com era

...which makes him about 9 years old

Whoa Dammit's picture

MDB was blind, but now he can see...Applies equally well to other FaceBook buyers.

Thanks, MDB!  I can always count on you for a good laugh.

I know ... it's great isn't it?  I wish they would give it more coverage on CNBC.  10:56 ... 4 minutes 'til uphoria ...

Facebook is worth more than Greece, Portugal, Spain and Italy combined.  And it is worth every penny and drachma.

I love FB, Skynet and Warren Buffet.  I am taking Munger's advice and sewing gold coins into my kimono.

LMAO...fucking priceless MBD!!  You are the KING of trolls!

PS.  Don't you think they should make it part of the DOW and S&P right now?

How could anyone downvote this?  I laughed out loud!

MrBoompi's picture

Too fucking funny! Chances are you're a seller!! And if this turd of a company is still around in 20 years the only reason it will trading at multiples of today's price is because our dollar will be worth 5% of what it is today.

daccord's picture

or because its government funded and key tool in strip mining customer data. Oh wait...

AlaricBalth's picture

300Shares??? MDB, you are really breaking the bank with that trade. You crack me up every time!!!

"anything - just get me my shares"

Ah, hahahahahahah. My face is hurting. HAHAHA!

I have the same philosophy when it comes to purchasing physical gold and silver.

fatcat's picture

Your grandkids are going to be all, "300 shares of facebook? That is SOOO last generation.  Stop trying to be cool gramps"

WonderDawg's picture

No doubt. Facebook is rapidly losing the cool factor with the 12-25 year olds.

Don't know whether I should vote this up or down...

Yeah, just like the Asian markets earlier this morning ... no need, to worry - just buy, buy, buy everybody!

Oh no, a new generation of dotcom bagholders is being created.

If so, then the combination of that plus the housing market plus the job market would be enough to trigger the worst depression this country has seen in over 100 years. Personal equity would be crippled across the country.

_ConanTheLibertarian_'s picture

I'm afraid the second great depression is already in progress and it will get far worse.

FUCK Facebook and more importantly FUCK Bernanke.

I believe that is the only way I would buy shares of this shit.  Chances are dividends will be paid out Zynga dollars.

It's a trick/trap, TPBT are only looking to unload fiat!  And when you get it you WON'T be able to get rid of it, you'll be charged to hold on to it (and like in the song Hotel California, you can check in but you can never leave).
