Farage On Greek Chaos: "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet"

Tyler Durden's picture

Outspoken and oracular MEP Nigel Farage bombards his fellow unelected officials with 'you can't handle the truth' comments as he points out the total contradiction that is the European Parliament's (and 'Puppet Papademos') view of how things are going in their democracy relative to the reality of a TROIKA-ordered coup forced on the man in the street. Greece is being driven further and further into chaos and as he implores his peers: "If they don't get the Drachma back, you will be responsible for something truly truly horrible!".

As a counter-move, Karolos Papoulias has forfeited his salary ~ E400,000. Yes, that's more than the US president's.

I can see that being popular, and if enough of the 'disgraced' MPs (43+ earlier resignations) voluntarily halved their salaries, it could be enough to placate the average Greek citizen. I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned this, but #1 priority should be a country-wide audit & tax amnesty (i.e. file properly, cough up, we won't prosecute) starting from the top down. Walks of shame, contrite apologies, pledges against corruption, the whole nine yards. Start revoking citizenship for those who don't, and start breaking the horrible five family mafia-style power arrangement that's present.

Oh, and claw back some of those $50 million bribes.

This, of course, will never happen. But it's about the only way to salvage the country at this point.

Or, you do it the other way, and call in the military & have a nice little civil war. The former is civilised, and has some dignity about it (for all taking part); the latter is how most humans childishly act.

Did anyone watch the fine MEPs as Farage spoke ? The way fat Cohn-Bendit ignored him - you can seev the fat "Danny The Red" leader of the '68ers in Paris there with his fine concern for the people on the streets of Athens; but now he is Danny The Green and Co-Chair of The Spinelli Group - the hardcore Euro-Elite named in honour of the Italian Communist Spinelli

Get this shit. I just went on line to check my checking account balance. I got paid today, well I noticed that I only had .67 cents available. I called in to see what's the deal and they said they had put a hold on my account because I am 10 days late with my mortgage. I only keep a minimal amount in there to cover bills. The rest I keep in a safe at home or buy gold. If it wasn't for the fact that I am forced to direct deposit I wouldn't keep anything with them fuckers.

However, this merely left Hitler with the problem of what to do about the German economy. The fact that the guy was a ruthless madman hell-bent on world domination turned out to be useful here. What he wanted was a stronger German military, and he wasn’t about to allow procedural scruples or financial orthodoxy stand in his way. Of course Germany couldn’t produce more tanks than Germany had the ability to make, but the point was that real resource constraints — not “financial markets” or “confidence” — was the limiting factor. Hitler, like Roosevelt, undertook what amounted to a two-stage monetary expansion before Europe slipped into total war. FDR’s first move was to devalue the dollar relative to gold. Hitler’s parallel move was devised by the very clever Hjalmar Schacht who (as you can read in hisNuremberg Trials indictment) essentially introduced a parallel currency called “Mefo bills” by setting up a government-backed shell company that issued scrip. FDR’s second move was to have people panic that Hitler was going to conquer them and shift their gold to the USA. Hitler’s second move, by contrast, was to conquer Austria and the modern-day Czech Republic and take their gold.

Last year, The Telegraph reported that 5,000 soldiers were deployed to give police protection for the Davos World Economic Forum (WEF) 2011 event in Switzerland. The WEF, composed of bankers, politicians and multinational corporatists, for nearly forty years has been the hub of the globalist strategies for world government put into motion.

As its globalist agenda plays out into reality, the WEF’s Global Risks 2012 report expresses concern for the “seeds of Dystopia” it has sewn. Dystopia is the ancient Greeks' “idea of a society in a repressive and controlled state, often under the guise of being utopian, as characterized in books like Brave New World, Nineteen Eighty-FourThe Hunger Games. …”*   In short, Dystopia is the police state, the anti-Utopia of humans abusing humans.

The globalist experiment’s fallout of massive youth unemployment and debt-ridden governments facing indigent aging populations has WEF managing director Lee Howell expressing frustration over the groundswell of social unrest: “It needs immediate political attention. Otherwise the political rhetoric that responds to this social disease will involve nationalism, protectionism and rolling back the globalization process.”

I just watched and listened for the second time - and every damn thing he said is TRUTH. So what do we get on this list? Side trip on the US civil war, and eventually, someone pointing out the is backed by Nazi sympathizers.

Yep - there you go. The ultimate bullshit internet what passes for intelligent discourse - when all else fails, dredge up the "Nazi" word.

Holy shit! Farage is bombastic and opionated and a politican, anti-Euro. Does not mean he cannot zero in on truth. The Troika is absolutely crushing Greece, probably, at this point, in order to force them to default, while appearing to help them. Just finished reading "When money Dies", and long-drawn out kick-the-can is nothing new in European/UK dealings, with summit after summit being standard fare re Germany and Austrian troubles in the early 1920's.

Farage is just saying out front the obvious - Greece is fucking doomed. Anybody that can add and subtract can figure that one out - there is no way - no way - all this bs can work out and Greece can emerge into the sun of prosperity after paying off its current debts over the next generation of unemployed bodies. I mean, does ANYBODY believe this so-called bailout is going to 'help' Greece? Anybody? Every fucking suit in the room that Farage spoke in knows it is about (1) preventing a 'credit event'/avoiding CDS trigger and (2) giving time and cover for the banks still holding piles of Greek toxic debt to get out from under.

Basically, I don't give a shit who has backed or is backing the guy, or what his personal motivations are:

He Is Speaking Truth - Obvious, bare-ass, the emporer has no clothes truth. There is NO way Greece can 'pay off' this debt with the austerity measures pushing Greece from recession into depression. There is no way, and all the suits pushing for this next bailout providing Greece gives up every shred of self-determination know it. Farage is just standing up and pointing this out - loudly, bombastically, and emphatically calling this spade what it is - a shovel to bury Greece.

So screw all you guys trying to minimize or blunt what he is saying by trying to tie him to Nazis or bankers or other bad guys. Truth is truth, and pretty damn rare amoung the Eurocrats.

So this is where he came to hide
When he ran from you
In a private detective overcoat
Dirty dead man's shoes
The pretty things of Knightsbridge
Lying for a minister of state
Is a far cry from the nod and wink
Here at traitor's gate

'Cause the high heel he used to be has been ground down
And he, listens for the footsteps that would follow him around

( chorus )
To murder my love is a crime
But will you still love
A man out of time ?

There's a tuppeny hapenny millionaire
looking for a fourpenny one
With a tight grip on the short hairs
Of the public imagination

For his private wife and kids somehow
Real life becomes a rumour
Days of dutch courage
Just three French letters and a German sense of humour

He's got a mind like a sewer and a heart like a fridge
He stands to be insulted and he pays for the privilege

(chorus)

The biggest wheels of industry
Retire sharp and short
And the after dinner overtures
Are nothing but an after thought
Somebody's creeping in the kitchen
There's a reputation to be made
Whose nerves are always on a knife's edge
Who's up late polishin' the blade

Love is always scarpering or cowering or fawning
You drink yourself insensitive and hate yourself in the morning

shitpiles = ..
"sycophant 1530s (in L. form sycophanta), "informer, talebearer, slanderer," from L. sycophanta, from Gk. sykophantes, originally "one who shows the fig," from sykon "fig" + phanein "to show." "Showing the fig" was a vulgar gesture made by sticking the thumb between two fingers, a display which vaguely resembles a fig, itself symbolic of a cunt (sykon also meant "vulva"). The story goes that prominent politicians in ancient Greece held aloof from such inflammatory gestures, but privately urged their followers to taunt their opponents. The sense of "mean, servile flatterer" is first recorded in English 1570s.sycophancy 1620s, from L. sycophantia, from Gk. sykophantia, from sykophantes (see sycophant).fig early 13c., from O.Fr. figue (12c.), from O.Prov. figa, from V.L. *fica, from L. ficus "fig tree, fig," from a pre-I.E. Mediterranean language, possibly Semitic (cf. Phoenician pagh "half-ripe fig"). Earlier borrowed directly into O.E. from Latin as fic. A reborrowing of a word that had been taken directly from Latin as O.E. fic. The insulting sense of the word in Shakespeare, etc. (A fig for ...) is 1570s, in part from fig as "small, valueless thing," but also from Greek and Italian use of their versions of the word as slang for "cunt," apparently because of how a ripe fig looks when split open [Rawson, Weekley]. Giving the fig (Fr. faire la figue, Sp. dar la higa) was an indecent gesture of ancient provenance, made by putting the thumb between two fingers or into the mouth, with the intended effect of the modern gesture of "flipping the bird" (see bird (3)). See sycophant. Use of fig leaf in figurative sense of "flimsy disguise" (1550s) is from Gen. iii.7.

"You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet"

Interesting when the camera pans around hardly anyone else seems interested.

Because they're not interested.  They want Greece staying in the EU for the same reasons they want their nation staying in the EU, so they can keep borrowing money from the ECB.

The ECB is just another fat money-printing Fed sow pig with each EU government sucking on their own reserved teat.  (WB7 might enjoy doing something with that mental image.)

They're gonna trash the Euro down to nothing just like our Fed is trashing the US dollar down to nothing.

Anyone have answers...  When the Greasies default on March 20th, they will miss a 12-13 billion Euro payment on some of their bonds.  Any of you know who exactly holds the specific bonds that won't receive the interest payment?  Greasie has what, 300+ billion in bonds?  What portion of the 300+ billion in bonds won't get any interest paid on 20 March?

Keep it real!

“We believe a Greek payment default could be a greater shock to the system than Lehman’s failure, immediately causing global economies to contract and markets to decline,” the hedge fund said in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by Bloomberg News. The euro is “structurally flawed and will likely eventually unravel,” it said.

Paulson & Co., the $23 billion hedge fund whose founder John Paulson is seeking to recover from record losses last year, said Greece may default by the end of March, triggering the breakup of the euro.

Nigel Farage on a King World News Interview:

“I can also tell you this, Eric, and I haven’t told this to anybody yet, you’re the first, but last week a former distinguished Greek Ambassador came to see me.  He was one of the guys who, back in the 70s and 80s, negotiated Greece’s entry into what was the European Community Common Market.

He told me that he and his friends, who live in the big detached houses on the outskirts of Athens, they are all going out and buying Kalashnikovs (rifles).  He said, ‘We are doing that because we think those of us that have assets and property, at some point soon, are going to need to defend our properties.’

This is absolutely terrifying.  And in the face of all of this, the Greek government, because there aren’t enough Greek politicians with courage, voted for this bailout package and for yet more massive deflationary cuts.

Frankly, I’ve hinted before when I’ve spoken to you, I think if this route is pursued, we are heading for a revolution.”

Interesting.  Don't know if it's true or not, but I guess you've been warned.
