First Freedom Watch Cancelled, Now Colbert Suspended?
It appears that slowly but surely the NDAA equivalent for the less than compliant on air mainstream media is picking up steam. First it was Napolitano's Freedom Watch getting cancelled by Fox (ostensibly for his endorsement of Ron Paul but who knows) some days ago, and now Politico reports that that political uber-lampoon Stephen Colbert has been also temporarily "suspended". From Politico: "The late-night comedy program hosted by Stephen Colbert will suspend production for at least two days this week, POLITICO has confirmed. The Colbert Report, the home of relentless parodying of super PACs and the campaign finance system, will not air original episodes on Wednesday or Thursday. "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show will air repeat episodes on Wednesday, February 15 and Thursday, February 16,” Comedy Central Senior VP for Communications Steve Albani told POLITICO. Albani would not comment on the specific reasons for the suspension. It is expected that the suspension of original production will not be indefinite, and that the show will return soon." We can only hope that the ringing endorsement of freedom of speech by CC owner Viacom was not a major reason of the "uncommented" reasons for the suspension. Or lack thereof as the case may be in the US these days.
Below is a defining clip from the now cancelled Freedom Watch.
Incidentally, here is the letter that Andrew Napolitano sent to his fans post cancellation:
Dear Friends--
Many of you are not happy with the cancellation of FreedomWatch, and you have sent emails to my Fox colleagues expressing that unhappiness. In television, shows are cancelled all the time. Two of my former shows have been cancelled, and after each cancellation, Fox has rewarded me with more and better work. This cancellation--along with others that accompanied it--was the result of a business judgment here, and is completely unrelated to the FreedomWatch message. It would make a world of a difference for all of us, if you would KINDLY STOP SENDING EMAILS TO FOX.
I am well. Your values are strong. I will continue to articulate those values here at Fox. But the emails many of you are sending are unfairly interfering with my work and that of my colleagues here. The emails even violate our values because they interfere with the use of private property. I have accepted the cancellation decision with good cheer and a sense of gearing up for the future. You should as well.
As a favor to me, and as I have asked this past weekend, PLEASE STOP SENDING EMAILS TO MY COLLEAGUES AT FOX ABOUT THE CANCELLATION OF FreedomWatch; and please stop NOW.
All the best, apn.

A million huh.. Not one slightly leftist...
Ladies and Gentleman I am pleased to give you MDB's bastard son /daughter, Lost wages / brains.. It was a difficult delivery with much grunting and groaning and an all night session with Howard Zinn and a bit of marx but finally from the hairy portion of MDB's evacuation chute enough stupidity squeezed its way through the cloaca and past the class warfare and voila, LW..

dbl post.
Here here. Colbert is kind of a tired drivelous routine, the "truths" he often uses as basis are rarely objective. Sure he's funny sometimes, but to pretend he is without his own agenda and bias is foolish, he's often complicit with the media matters debauchery and panders often to one demographic.
Ofcourse this is heresay to many on ZH.
'drivelous'? Who are you, the reincarnation of Dr. Suess?
And ZH has many resident hereticalfrankelous, marvelously drivelous spectankulariferous who's, or so I heard it once said.
funny? only to those with NO shred of morality.
Often, great satire is hard to watch and the laughs hurt.
it's not satire to the crowd that is the problem.
He is playuing a double game and knows it.
They laugh because it is not possible to cry after all the horrors the crowd has sanctioned.
I liked Colbert when he did a short sketch on the Daily Show. Since then, I find him tiresome and not funny. I love Jon Stewart, though.
Jon Stewart milks the laffs too much. I liked the guy that was on the Daily Show before Stewart got the job..
When interviewing them J Stewart fawns over his guests like a 13 year old boy on a date with a girl who is out of his league.
JS should thank his lucky stars for the show's writers, because the monologues, bitz, and sketches are worth a chuckle pretty regularly.
You can't be a regular watcher, GoinFawr. He has reamed some statist assholes quite handily. I get the impression sometimes that it's all he can do to keep from jumping over the table and choking a few. Both JS and SC are very quick witted and fast on their feet mentally. It's a hoot to watch them recover from what otherwise would be tough spots. Our politicians should be so talented.
"not a regular watcher"... fair enough; I certainly don't watch the show religiously. I suppose I shouldn't have used the word 'regularly', I should have said something like, "...in my limited experience...".
You're a reasonable racoon, so I'll look for some examples of what you're talking about Rocky. Any specific suggestions?
Just watch. That's all. I usually have a ZH article up on the monitor so when one of the lame-ass skits comes up I just read instead. SC has a segment called "The Word" which I've always found entertaining.
Good point Mercury. Start with the what if sceanarios to determine if the show's worth being on the air or cancellation. This is determined by ratings though, not two day suspensions. Something happened that nobody's willing to speak about. Does anyone know if Colbert is in negotiations over salary? Did Colbert refuse to backdown on a wild bit he was planning to do? Any way about it, it's unlikely we'll here the details. Even if he's being sensored it's again the same as always. Man has to weigh Paycheck vs. saying provocative stuff. Paycheck wins 99%. The 1% that choose provacative end up being Jerry McGuirre or WallStreet protestors. People end up hating you no matter how "right" you are. Sad to say.
Been there - done it. How's this for a line: "Your one of the best things that every happened to this company -- if it wasn't for you shaking things up we never would be increasing our market share by 30% in the channel..." (exit interview)
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report are the two highest rated shows on Comedy Central, in that order.
Pulling the plug, even temporarily, on something that generates that much money is not a decision a TV executive makes lightly.
It will be interesting to see what the motivation behi8nd it was.
We're still here. "and still alive!" more will come...more will watch.
They can take my freedom, but dare these fuckers cancel Colbert and I'm going all rampage up their ass.
And not in a good way - if there is one.
Wonder if Jon Stewart will be next to get the "slap on the wrist suspension"?
He's the executive producer of The Colbert Report but he made no mention of this on his show last night.
If Stephen Colbert does not come out swinging at this, you'll know he has been given the "shut up or walk" ultimatum.
Can't wait to see it. You never know--Ratigan stayed true after his suspension last summer.
kind of... though I admit... I don't watch it every day.
OK. Who are the major advertisers on Comedy Central? Not just Colbert and the Daily Show, every time slot. Time to start voting with your money. Its the only thing the jerks in power understand.
Yes, and that's the place to send emails. The DC /Jew York axis "moderators" (thought police) don't care what you think.
That's a joke right?
The major advertisers are a part of the 'establishment' the Judge was referring to.
What if freedom of speech is no longer protected?
What if the main stream media is an extention of government?
...
What if people started to recognize that?
What if people took the red pill?
Revolution bitchez.
Colbert was easily the finest parody of the corrupt, crony capitalism that we call democracy and freedom, and that we selflessly spread with bombs and depleted uranium throughout the world led by our Noble-prize winner. In the home of the brave and the land of the free, a bit of comedy is seen as a threat to the system. This gets more surreal by the minute.
Yeah, the muslims hate us for our freedoms - including the one to watch comedy shows.
Judge Andrew Napolitano was canned for telling the TRUTH! BOYCOTT ALL FOX PROPAGANDA!
You're not already?
When the Judge was on, it was impossible to boycott. Now it is possible!

This is all right out of the Latin Marxist playbook. Reporting any that embarrasses the government becomes a criminal act.
First they lie to get elected, then take over the institutions to punish and bully anyone or anything that is critical of the government. It is all happening here in America. The next step is Fraudulent elections which will be widespread in 2012 and will go unreported by the usual suspects in the MSM.
You have had elections filled with fraud for at least 60 years. I have been alive to see those.
Before that, well I am not sure , but fraud was not invented in the last 60 years.
All your notions are false , the story you tell is a fable based on a fairytale which via force was propped up for a while.
You take down the "defense" and within 6 months this shithole would collapse.
The gvt is not of free people, it's of cowards and idiots.
The Marxists - errrr - Muslims -errrr- Cubans -- errrr Sandinistas -errrrr- CHavez terror cells are coming with their playbooks in hand.
OOOOOOOOOMY!
This is right out of the US backed 'Latin' corporatist playbook: Reporting any(thing) that embarrasses the US installed military junta or the international companies charged with paying them off becomes a criminal act punishable by torture so heinous that death becomes a sought after reward.
First they extort or bribe all the elected officials, then they take over the institutions and bully/murder anyone or anything that is critical of the companies or their pocketed politicians. It is all happening/has happened here in North and South America. The next stop is rare cancers that are mysteriously contracted by all democratically elected leaders promoting populist policies contrary to corporate interests; suffering which will in all likelihood be vigorously applauded by hypocrites like Gwat as he and his malinformed ilk continue to sophomorically misinterpret or disingenuously misrepresent the works of others a la Ronald Reagan, unwittingly promoting their own useful idiocy as they chase the magic of infinitely expanding rainbows and unicorns on a finite planet.
He stepped over the line when he lampooned the OWS movement.
These clowns need to understand that it is only acceptable to belittle Christians and conservatives.
Why is this comment junked anonymously? Makes sense to me.
How much more America?

King Obama will ask for a third illimited term
any country with a media worth a damn would be
calling for the removal of this lawless-terror-peace-prize winner.
Instead he will be selected again it appears.
That's alll folks, the more corrupt and lawless the higher the polling numbers seem to go.
"First it was Napolitano's Freedom Watch getting cancelled by Fox (ostensibly for his endorsement of Ron Paul but who knows)..."
LOL!
The oligarchs have spent trillions to create the system we have today and, goddammit, they are not going to let a piss ant like Colbert ruin things for them. This just shows the system itself to be more of a mockery than even Colbert himself could point out.
Maybe they will give that doosh "the rear admiral" another hour, or just give bo dietl his own show "moron watch"
what if we're fucked because there is no way to change anything anywhere?
what if anyone who ever tried to change the system was assassinated?
what if its already too late?
Only way we lose is if we all give up. So, don't give up!
Nothing gets attention like a headline ending in a question mark.

<---King George sympathizers
Too late for what?
In a world where 3 billion ++ people live on $1.00 - $2.00 a day, in a world in which 30,000 children die of hunger every single day (600 - 700 kids dies of hunger during an average Seinfeld re-run) and in a world in which over 250 million kids work as slaves Americans have games and circuses all the time and still live as kings, in comparisson to the most of the world.
If the price for a cozy iPhone usage is some 12 y.o. child-slave that works 14 - 16 hours a day for $0.80 and / or if their government would go to some other faraway land and kill another million people so they can "feel safe" in their stupor, they would gladly condone its fascist regime and would not dare to utter a peep, mortally afraid of a change.
This despicable nation of brainwashed cowards would keep paying momentous amounts of money for "defense" (that is occupation, war and murder) so it can enjoy their decades long illusion of living in the home, you know, that "free" and "brave" fairytale and will gladly forfeit any illusion of freedoms they had so they could listen the puppets politicianans telling them - from the altar of a new age, TV - how they, indeed, are, not just free but the freest nation on Earth.
And the best. And the bravest. So now, let us go and destroy and kill in Iran, Pakistan, you name it and be happy - we're here to protect you.
It is not "too late" - this perpetual self-delusional monstrosity of a murdersous country and brainwashed nation has what it wants.
not enough green ups in the world for that bit of truth.
It is useless though as the sheep do not WISH to hear and would rather turn away and go galt or some other fantasy.
A shame, once the country did have a few moral peeps even though not all actions were good at least some tried.
This gvt vaporizes children on a whim of one terrorist every day or so,
Not a peep , not one.
We kill on a whim and assume we will get the one we want eventually.
Payback will be a righteous bitch.
I think from now on I will use go nazi symp instead.
Go ahead , you will not escape.
You guys are just hopelessly moribund and depressing. I see America as the shining light of democracy and freedom for the rest of the world. Just look at all the countries we have helped move from dictatorship to democracy in the last 10 years.
Million Dollar Bonus is that you? Has MDB transformed?
This despicable nation of brainwashed cowards would keep paying momentous amounts of money for "defense
i dont pay shit towards that
but my government does not represent its people anymore
and they spend trillions on it
and just what do you propose to do that will fix it?
ideas?
and be realistic
them thar theys have the best weapons, media, police, attorneys, politicians et al that money can buy
what about you?
3 billion people will bow the fuck down and do what they are told ,or die,got to jail, starve, or what ever happens to be the most cost effective and efficient
they have control of the money, and that means they can buy ,sell, or kill you for free
what do you propose to do about it?
its plenty too late for those with any grasp on reality
Grey Ghost....how Sad your comment is........
but how true!
Bingo! We have our winner, johnQpublic. It is too late. You have three choices: fight, flight or go along. Neither of the first two solves anything, but going along, superficially, that is, until you can make enough dough or connections to get out of dodge or foment change is a variation on the first two that at least buys time.
As a journalist for most of my adult life, I find the present to be the most dangerous time for anyone wishing to express their true feelings in public, and it gets worse with each passing day.
My hope is that the clowns in govt. are so incredibly inept and insufficient that they lose all control, but that still leaves the even worse option of the people controlling them - who are merciless and ruthless - running the whole show with no pretense of "democracy."
Anybody who thinks the upcoming elections in November may provide a change is just not paying attention. It's all for show, just like the rigged stock market.
Good luck to any of you in America (as I am). You're going to need it.
Wow, that Napolitano video clip was great! And on Fox, yet?!
No wonder he got fired. Too bad he seems to still be sniffing around for a new gig with them.
He surely has a whole lot more he could still be saying. And I'd love to hear it.
He interviewed with CNN and Cooper beat him with his purse.
Over at MSNBC, Mika kicked him in the nuts.
He is not going to get air time anywhere but FOX.
He might have a chance with MSNBC (the news channel). They've had Michael Steele and Pat Buchanan as staff commentators and probably gave Ron Paul more air time than anybody. They continue to tolerate Dylan Ratigan. They could use somebody to balance Dim shill Rev Al.
It's a tough one, though. Fox is the easy answer . . . but to kiss ass or not to kiss ass is the question.
Judge Nap probably had a gun to his head when he wrote that email telling people to stop. Can't have people disagreeing, right?
What most people fail to realize is that probably the most erudite broadcaster of our generation, Keith Olbermann, has been gone for two years now and he's NOT replicable.
The nightly news shows offer the hideous choice of Scott Pelley, Brian Williams or Diane Sawyer. Not much of a choice there.
Spending a half hour here is better use of that time.
.
Point taken.
Napoletano was too close to Zero Hedge and general public consumption of zero hedge, as well as freedom of thought, cannot be tolerated by TPTB.
I heard he was going to be the guest of the federal government in the luxurious "Hotel Gitmo". That doesn't sound like there's any hard feelings... heck, TPTB are putting him up in a luxury hotel!
Excellent vid, thanks TD's. Reminds me of the story about the mice governed by the Black and White cats.
More outstanding Napolitano (my favourite), if you like Ron Paul and Ralph Nader...

Hope Mr.Colbert is ok...
I think Janet Napolitono should take Judge Napolitono’s old slot on Fox. (And don’t tell me they’re not related.) Judge Napolitano wasn’t walking the correct walk anymore. The new walk de-jour is the Goose Step, so it’s just as well.I think having a homely, overweight, pants-suited bull-dyke, NAZI, NWO minion hosting her own show would be splendid.
And of course Janet could show some of the video footage every week from her Brown Shirts at the airport. 8o year–old women being strip searched; 4 year olds being molested by pedophiles in government uniforms, valuables being stolen from luggage, Best looking naked body pics from the backscatter x-rays, She could even show private footage of the eugenics criminals laughing about the sterilizing and cancer causing radiation the ‘animals’ are being exposed to.… there’s no end to the entertainment Janet N. could bring to the public.
What to name it? Janet the Bull’s Bull, People are Funny, or Jeopardy?
Judge would look better in a skirt than Janet, that's for sure. And I'm a raving hetrosexual.
I’m afraid you’re right. But Janet might look decent in kilts. And as much as I like the Judge I can’t help but think he played Eddie Munster as a child.

With new technological advances the turnaround time for reptilian replacement clones is becoming quite short. (sarcasm, I promise)
Word on the street is that Freedom Watch is being replaced with "Secure Financial," hosted by Jon Corzine.
His first guests will be Holder and Dimon. They will be disgusting the topic of "how to secure your capital from the ever present terrorists" and rogue elements. They will giggle with glee how they have successfully stopped those dam terrorists from a financial "9-11". A caller will call in, "yeah, I lost some money at MF that I think you have Jamie,"...crackle, crackle...
"looks like we lost that one...
Jamie chuckles, "guess he couldn't pay his phone bill! hahahaha"
the next topic is how they have secured financial transactions and can track every single penny that moves in America.....keeping all you morons, they mean, "people" "safe".

I liked the Judge. In many ways he was a breath of fresh air. But the Judge is flawed, deeply so. He was excellent in exposing the dangers from the Left and from the so-called mainstream Republicans. He was poor in exposing the dangers from the extreme right of Ron Paul -- many of whom supported him.
I'm speaking of those who espouse no governement as opposed to limited government. Either the Judge was so determined to have a counter to the radical Left that he ignored Paul's anarchistic tendencies and supporters -- or he is one of them.
But he'll still be around and will probably snag a new show in the future. He has a large following. Hopefully he'll widen his outlook and look deeper into those whom he supports.
Paul would never get his agenda enacted and what the hell is wrong with a hiatus in the insanity.
I find it surprising that so many are completely unable to distinguish between the intended set up of the nation through the 10th Amendment and anarchy.
Yes, this is the logical fallacy of a 'straw man' argument. Ron Paul supports the US Constitution and a federal government which is limited by that Constitution. Under the Constitution, governemt was to be as small, local (and thus accountable) as possible. There is danger of tyranny with an over reaching, all powerful central government. Many of the Founders warned of this.
Paul has never called for 'anarchy'. That is a ridiculous assertion.
Misunderstanding, manipulation, and fear are used as weapons against the citizenry.
perhaps he meant 'anachronistic' rather than 'anarchistic'? It could still fit if he doesn't like RP.
Not that I agree with LMJ's comment in either case.
Well he mentioned 'no government' so he probably meant what he wrote
The Judge and Stossel were the only reasons to ever watch Fox and Stossel was often a tool.
Colbert's mother is in her 90's. They are close.
something might have to do with her.
I came here to post the same. Apparently there was a post on Huffington Post's Facebook page about his mother being ill. I don't have a Facebook account so I can't confirm.
http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2012/02/16/stephen-colbert-suspends-production-of-his-show/
"Stephen Colbert has suspended production of his satirical comedy show temporarily because of an emergency in Mr. Colbert’s family, according to people familiar with the show.
The show is expected to resume production soon, perhaps as early as next week, the people added."

You want to convince me that MSM has awaken to the truth?
FUCK THAT SHIT!
its cool foxnews already lost me. i ignore all tv news until we get a good correction, then i will watch cnbc to see them act silly.
Serious question. Have party primary elections become exempt from laws governing elections? Just been reading up on Maine.
most primaries are run by the parties, not the state. So,yeah, they have become exempt from the lawz.
Better get up to speed there, SI. Check out bradblog.com if you want to really know how upside down elections in America are.
Ever since Bush was SELECTED in 2000, they've all been rigged. George Carlin was right. Not voting is the American thing to do. When nobody shows up to vote, then maybe they'll get the message that the people aren't buying their shit anymore.
I know, wishful thinking.
Finally! This guy is terrible. Never liked it and never will. I hope this wakes up the young people that these ass clowns are not news people because, sadly, they really do believe Colbert and Stewart are real news anchors. Perhaps an indictment of our educational system or proof that each generation is dumber than the last. Good riddance.
Sooooooooooooo you gonna point out some "real newz" for us or what their pointy.
Rawstory, ZeroHedge, Russian Today are where I get my information.
Information Clearing House is also an excellent news source.
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/
as is whatreallyhappened.com and Paul Craig Roberts new website.
A lot of old people think that Brian Williams is a real news anchor. Seems like the education system wasn''t much better for them either.
no way , even sheep should be better than that.
The 'education 'system as been corrupted since the late 1890s-early 1900s when its agenda was taken over by private foundations. It has been steadily getting worse over that time period. Check out what children were expected to know in America before this time (taught in one room schools) and you'll be amazed. For example, young children were expected to be able to read before they stepped into a school house. They were taught by their mothers at home, in a process that took weeks or a few months - - - not years.
Oh, but that system was so unfair, since it made children of mothers who couldn't teach into victims.
LOL I guess it wasnt really a problem, the youngsters would naturally soak it up like a sponge. Moms were highly motivated, of course. Basically they taught kids to sound out the words using commonly found lesson materials using the phonics method. It took about 6 weeks to teach a kid to read. Of course young children didn't understand the meaning of all the words they read, but a whole world of learning was opened up to them. - - -Now they build multi-million dollar public schools, fill them with tons of 'administratprs' & 'support staff' and the kids come out dumber than a box of rocks. The public 'schools' achieve what they were designed for.
Brian Williams is a news anchor? I thought he ran one of those Democrat Party campaign organizations?
That video by the Judge was really fantastic......basically are all the things I have been saying about 99% of the politicans for the last 12 years of my potential voting existence (I am glad I have never voted).
The Colbert suspension maybe a contract dispute between him and his staff vs Viacom.
Viacom is known to not payout properly for its talent; the Jersey Shore people held out for more cash vs Viacom owned MTV (MTV reality stars usually got paid 5K a season; the Jersey Shore cast got 30K an episode!).
MTV/Viacom still underpays them in a sense; the ads and synicated sales makes the media corporation HUGE amounts of profit considering reality television costs NOTHING to produce.
Good interview by Gerald Celente here on "Economic Martial Law"
http://rt.com/news/usa-battlefield-2012-celente-473/
"What if Ronald Reagan ran six years for president promising to shrink the government but then the government grew while he was in the white house. What if, not withstanding Reagan's ideas and cheerfulness and libertarian rhetoric, there really was no Reagan revolution at all."
And I might add, what if Reagan presided over the largest increase of debt in the US and cut government revenues to the point that trillions of unfunded spending were inevitable, and what if he sold weapons to foreign enemies to generate funds for trumped-up threats all in violation of congressional direction?
What if the only difference between presidents is how much they expand the imperial powers of their office? What if each voter thinks that everyone else is the sheep? What if the only winners of elections were politicians? What if people would not vote? What if machines counted the votes? What if there were no hope?
The down votes must come from Reagan worshippers. I doubt they will actually do any research, but if they want to actually learn something they should web search the economist Murray Rothbard's articles on Reagan and the "Reagan Revolution". As a former conservative Republican, I was a bit depressed after reading those articles and verifying the economic data from independent sources.
That old saying is correct, "The Truth will set you free." You may not like it, however. If you identify with your beliefs, you may feel threatened by anything that would bring them into question.
though your whole post is excellent Athena, goddess of Wisdom, I particularly love the final paragraph
not only does it ring true, at least for me, but contains two thoughtfully posed questions (my highlights). . . if people would abandon their lazy "hope" that things, any "things,' might be changed by something as effortless as a single vote on a specific day once every few years - THINK about this folks - if people would simply let "hope" be for children & their Santa wish lists, and grow up into the reality that faces them. . .
the voting circus would fade into the background, and they would be free of having to make space in their minds for all that "voting" brings with it, the whole three-ring-circus it is, and instead of arguing with friends & family about which team they're supporting and why, they could move forward in their lives to something more useful, like preparing thoroughly for the change that is now on the doorstep.
if you don't know where to source clean water, decent food and the means to prepare it for eating, among many other essentials - then you're spending way to much time deciding which team captain's T-shirt you should wear.

In my humble opinion, anyone who is allowed to express his views on television has already been vetted and found harmless to the extant powers-that-be. I have to laugh at some of my friends/acquaintances who take, for instance, JV's Conspiracy Theories seriously. Jesse may or may not be serious about this; however, do you think whoever makes the decisions to air the show doesn't answer to some damned Insider? Am I being too jaded and cynical here . . . ?
They are not gods, though they think they are. They can't control every word said. Sometimes they screw up, but they try to 'fix' it. Thus, the obvious dumping of those who are making an impact.
I'd imagine their biggest regret is the existence of the internet itself, where we are made aware of these issues and discuss them among ourselves
Regarding 'fixing' it .. I am reminded of the first advertising clips on The Daily Show, back when it first started. I thought it was pretty funny, and it always stuck with me:
" When News Breaks, We Fix It. "
They did not keep that slogan very long.

Iranian muslim caliphate nuclear terrorists strike again, another blow to traditional amercian values. /s
One American distinction among Western Nations has been its freedom of speech…but hate crime legislation and central government pressure on media talkers from Buchanan to Imus to Colbert amounts to severe censorship.
Europe’s official free speech is already history. A German government official even touching on a Jewish remark is gone within 24 hours. And now, in America, the Zionist censorship is sweeping the country.
It is not anti-Semitic to call it what it is: restriction from the rulers on allowable speech.
Fr. Alphonse Ratisbonne, a wealthy Jew who converted to Catholicism in the mid-1800s, wrote :
“Through their dexterity and ingenuity, as well as through their lust of power, the Jews have step by step occupied every way leading to wealth, dignity and power. Their spirit, so to speak, imbues modern society. They regulate the stock exchange, the press, theater, literature, the great trade channels by land, as well as by sea, and by possessing the capitals as well as through their shrewdness, at present they hold captive, like in a net, all of Christian society.”
Today, by a philosophy of pull down and destroy, over 75% of Europe is non-Christian, according to Robert Sungenis, while the Christian cross has been expunged from the flags of all great European nations –as a “society without God” has been set up for a godless world-government.
Where was the "Judge" when Fox hired ex-Colonels from the Pentagon TO SELL THE IRAQ WAR? I don't remember his outrage, wherever he was promoting himself at the time. HE'S A FRAUD, LIKE ALL THE ASSHOLES ON TV. GFYs!
"As a favor to me, and as I have asked this past weekend, PLEASE STOP SENDING EMAILS TO MY COLLEAGUES AT FOX ABOUT THE CANCELLATION OF FreedomWatch; and please stop NOW."

divide, control, conquer
TPTB just announced that the Colbert Interrogations at Gitmo will be televised -- as a retraining course for the Proles.
Better copy this video before it disappears down the ole memory-hole.
Conveniently, once a thing is on the 'Net, it can never truly, truly disappear or be deleted.
The 'Net's binary tendrils are far-reaching and wide-spread -- lookit the petabytes and petabytes that are chillin' over at archive.org, alone.
It could be a stunt to get RATINGS, this asshole is a FRAUD, like all assholes on tv.
On this one, I'm putting my money on the Catholic Church. Betting they didn't like his last show and-- if he really is a Catholic-- they're probably putting the thumbscrews to him. You don't publicily disavow Catholic dogma if you're a high-profile practicing Catholic. They won't let it stand.
Or, maybe it was the Rothschilds.
Thank God Max Keiser is on RT.
Humor and comedy are the enemy of fascists. Colbert skewered G. H. W. Bush at the W.H. correspondent's dinner in 2006. Colbert has balls bigger than South Carolina. Many consider him the finest satirist in the world today.

Let's see once he does it to Obama...
Networks don't know what to do with a Howard Beale anymore...
Year of the Long Knives in Mainstream Media
(ZH is probably one of the few places where I could use such a relatively obscure reference)
Godwin's Law? Nahh, that may be reaching.
But .. you're right.
As for the 'letter to the fans' -- I would take that with the same seriousness as letters and comments given by POWs - something given under duress. Good reason to double up on the number of complaints. I need to send Fox an email right now.
Wag of the Finger!
Yep - - its hard to see but my (new) photo by user name is of the crew of the USS Pueblo captured by the North Koreans and forced to give b.s. public statements. They are giving the middle finger to their captors. When asked, they explained that it was the 'Hawaiian Good Luck Sign".
He really skewered a lot of sacred cows with that one. Of course we'll never know the real story, but oh to be a fly on the wall in some of the conference rooms at Faux as the editors and executives discussed the content of his segments.
What if we could hear the chain of communication starting with the offended "person of influence" who whispered in someone's ear about something they didn't approve of?
Judge Napoliano has already asked publically that people stop bombarding FOX with emails, and his show was canceled due to poor numbers - 54,000 only, apparently:
http://i.imgur.com/0V366.png
Colbert's mother is reported to be ill, and her emergency illness caused the canceled show (via Huffington Post and MSBC). It is highly unlikely his show will be canceled because his ratings are so high.
For all the carpet-chewers here, please go educated yourself about who owns American media: GE, Walt Disney, Newscorp, Time Warner, Viacom, CBS Corp.
If you need it spelt out for you, Anything on your TV screen has already been sanitised, vetted, edited, produced and screened by Lawyers to present an acceptable product. Any dissent that is on TV has already passed the checks and balances of those in power. Don't be so fucking naive: Napoliano was taken off air because his show wasn't making enough money, and Colbert will be back on because it does.
They don't give a shit about conspiracy theory or slight satirical comedy making the Red/Blue divide relevant: the bottom line is money. Neither of those hurts their bottom line. Oh, and if you think either Napolinao or Colbert are in any way a threat to the dominant ideology, you're a child. Or a simpleton.
Go watch The Corporation already: Fox on Monsanto / Milk for an example of how the game is actually played: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZkDikRLQrw

Jesus wept, some of you in here need some serious education about how the world runs. A lot of the posters here need lessons in sophistication.
Thank you. Zero Hedge seems to have long ago jumped the shark into the land of anti-semitic, racist, knuckle-dragging conspiracy theorists who happen to own 2 oz. of gold.
whooooooooosh, quick dude, there goes the POINT of the post you replied to!!!!!1!
and while I'm here, Use, your posts are frequently obnoxious, sarcastic., and I make a point to read every one, with a smirk & a nod to someone who isn't afraid to drop the "hopey" package, and go commando ^^
stick around, your real value will be apparent as soon as next month. . .
It isn't just money and ratings, though they are a factor.
Network owners and execs limit the choices to those they "approve".
Buchanan became unacceptable according to AP..
MSNBC President Phil Griffin said last month that he didn't think Buchanan's book "should be part of the national dialogue, much less part of the dialogue on MSNBC."
For the same essential reason, you won't see Ron Paul given much air time.
Of course, genuine serious left-wing commentators have long been excluded. You won't be seeing, for example, a Naomi Klein moderated news analysis talk show in the near future. The milquetoast pro-establishment PBS Lehrer "news" is as far as any critiquing of the mainstream is allowed.
Don't know if connected, but Wolf Blitzer also missing from CNN this week....
According to wikipedia, News Corporation owns a good portion of the Comedy Channel.
The judge was the only thing on FAUX news that was as least as right as a broken clock. But he was only correct twice a year.I used to browse fox for the humor of it,like Limbaugh, not for information.
But the young people of this country have tuned out the military/industrial/newstainment complex years ago.The reason that Stewert and Colbert are THE news source for college kids everywhere is that they at least mention the truth, and do it with a shot of humor, which is needed because the average Amerikan has an attention span less than 12 secounts without it.
FAUX was helped to grow by mentioning Bill and Monica costantlly 24/7 for years. Now they have Newt on and don't even bother to mention his past.
Steven has done a great job of pointing out the glaring holes in SuperPacs,by flogging his own for a long time now.He is a publicity whore for sure, but he's getting rich,BITCHEZ,the Amerikan dream.Just as ZH does a service to all by pointing out that there are no laws for wallstreet and banksterz,Steven is just pointng out how feckless the rules are that the FEC are meant to enforce.
It is more likely that Steven got his superiors into hot water with clips like this
http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/402700/november-1...
Keep talking truth to power,Steven.
If you are a vet,or know one, this is 6 miutes worth watching
Someone must have finally watched those shows and they immediately pulled them off the air. Both of them were terrible. Daily Show or go home.
Wow. just wow. There is no better illustration of how ZH has deteriorated in 4 years from a valuable in informative place for inside information to the same kind of looney bin as Godlike Productions or AboveTopSecret than this thread. In a matter of moments the statement "production has been suspended" was turned into "Colbert was suspended", and 3 pages of guns, gold and ammo rants later is the first person smart enough to even SUGGEST that maybe its a family problem, which was made public hours ago. I seriously wonder how many of the comments in these threads are by ZH employees just trying to bait their target demographic in fist pumping rages of apocolyptic stockpiling from one of their valued sponsors.
Sheesh.
Dont ask what ZH can do for you,
ask yourself what you can do for ZH.
:)
Bravo - bye bye Colbert (I hope for good) - nothing than another stump in the bag for Obama.
Colbert = GE = Buffett = Obama = you get what you deserve.
I love how the crazies always have to ride the wagon of someone else. It seems the Colbert suspension was due to a family issue. But here at ZH they had to put it side by side with the loonies, as if "Freedom Watch"'s @ Fox (gotta be kiddin me, free Murdoch...) fall wasn't a The Critic's "And nothing of value was lost" moment. It's as crazy as saying, like those Zeitgeists techno-dictators say "Lou Dobbs is a defender of freedom". A defender of his head-cat, that's all.
Steven will be spending the next 2 days in a FEMA re-education camp
Am I the only one who finds it amusing that modern liberals get more news from Comedy Central than MSNBC & CNN?
(sounds like you aren't in on the joke, bro)
You'll get more real news on CC than on Fox too...
One of the best things that any of us can do is to cancel our cable subscriptions. Fight back like you mean it, that's the only way they pay attention. Fuck the idiot news people, Fuck the nonstop corporate advertising and the clownish, imbecile commercial actors telling us to buy this or that. Fuck 'em all.
