As if we didn't have enough to worry about with sovereign shenanigans in Europe, which bridges to build in the US, and a slowing China, Israel's top-brass now fears a winter of radical Islam, an increase in the chance of a multi-front war, and notes Hamas using a new advanced rocket (perhaps this will be the bazooka that Trichet borrows?).

Maj.-Gen. Eisenberg reveals that Hamas used new advanced rocket in most recent attacks against Israel.
Noting an increase in the chance for a multi-front war, OC Home Front Command Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eisenberg revealed on Monday that Palestinian terror groups used a new and advanced rocket in their attacks against Israel during the recent round of fighting in the Gaza Strip.
“After the ‘Arab Spring’, we assess that a winter of radical Islam will arrive and as a result the possibility for a multi-front war has increased including the potential use of weapons of mass destruction,” Eisenberg said during a conference on the Home Front at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv.
Eisenberg revealed that during the recent round of fighting between Israel and Palestinian terror groups in the Gaza Strip, a new weapon was fired into Israel. “We discovered a new weapon and as a result we instructed the public to take extra precautions and to seek cover under two roofs and not just one,” Eisenberg said.

Oh, and about that highly-touted Israeli "Iron Dome" system that shoots down rockets? Wouldn't do a hell of a lot of good against a missle carrying a chem warhead would it. Most likely just disperse the contents over a wider area. I sure hope that TPTB in Israel have enough nerve gas antidote in strategic locations to protect their own civilians - except I'm sure that the military would get top priority. And of course, no need to have any in Gaza, where no doubt a good deal of said gas would drift, depending on the winds that apparently blow from north to south this time of year. Now wouldn't that be an ironic little twist?

The only real threat to Israel is the burgeoning Arab population within Israel itself. I don't know what to think about the ongoing conflict there. As an outsider it is hard to tell what is true and what not. As a German I am not a total outsider.
