Germany Ruling Party Votes To Allow Eurozone Exits

Tyler Durden's picture

Just hitting the tape... and the EURUSD:

  • MERKEL'S CDU VOTES TO ALLOW EXITS FROM EURO AREA

This should not be news: this was reported last week, and the only question is whether or not the "voluntary" language would be embedded in the phrasing. Either way, risk is off.

No, not really. They just play a role in legitimizing any and all facades. The decisions have been made for them, long, long ago. There isn't anything that is happening today that wasn't obvious from the moment the incoherent EMU was formed.

In other words, it was all designed to break as evidenced (as the political compromises were the only way to get it created at all), in order to create the mandate for further tightening of "the union."

I think what you're trying to say is that dishonesty leads to a loss of TRUST.

And yes, with that I agree 100%.

The TRUST is gone. American bankers fucked the world in 2008 and ever since then, all trust is gone. Ask the Chinese.

Of course the fact that 9/11 was an inside job and the invasion of Iraq was based on lies doesn't help matters either.

In the face of all this, it is remarkable that we're still at peace!

Without a vast INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY we would be shooting at each other already. We will be shooting when the CONSPIRACY needs blood in the streets.

None of the European treaties have a provision for the mechanics of a country making an exit `from the Eurozone`

So it is not for the German Parliament to create one, or to bully others to leave. Seriously, I read this as Germany itself getting its own legislature in order so that it can say Au revoir.

In doing so they are making a threat. What will they do when Sarky calls their bluff?

You will see a brand new Checkpoint Charlie. And suddenly Germany will become the new axis of evil.

Personally, I hope Germany does pull the trigger, leaves the EU, drops the Euro and wipes out the bank system with it.

Germany will invite Sarky into a currency union using the DEM.

This satisfies the original (German guilt) requirement to have an arrangement designed to stop further Franco-German wars.

France will accept because it means they can swap the link with the cr*p EZ members with a hard link to the only one that ever really mattered.

IMHO if analysts don't understand that the european elites (and much of the european people) are not going to abandon EU/eurozone/euro (and the ideas connected) they are bound to get all of their analysis on what will happen wrong.

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-11-15/merkel-says-eu-must-forge-cl...

In her interview, Merkel said that the next step to bolster investor confidence means what was begun by the euro’s founders must be completed with “a fiscal union, and then turn it step by step into a political union.”

“That is the lesson of the crisis and this will still require a lot of effort,” she said.

the global systemic crisis will accelerate the process of integration not stop it or destroy it.
