When ZH starts overlaying AAPL on NFLX without regard for their respective P/Es, then the ZH AAPL-bashing short (where ZH toes the same line as CNBC) is clearly warping into hyper-overdrive.
I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but according to the second chart, it looks like $200 is ZH's implied prediction of where Apple is headed. The only way I'd agree with that is if Tim Cook converted Apple's entire cash hoard into silver.
Funny u should mention beanie babies, I saw the beanie baby Boeing Businees jet that Ty owns in Cabo 3 weeks ago.
50 million dollar machine. Thats alot of stuffed toys.
Wondered how he can still afford to run that thing?
The implied comparison between AAPL and NFLX is so insulting to AAPL fundamentals that ZH, with this maximum AAPL-bashing "snark on", will trigger a VW-type short squeeze reversal on AAPL intraday today.
ZH lets their emotions get in the way of investing. Apple was trading at $14 in 2004, everyone on this board wished they would have bought Apple back then. They salivate at apple stumbling because they weren't smart enough to invest in the greatest company of the past 10 years. Apple vs. Netflix is a stupid comparison. ZH has never demonstrated their ability to pick stocks or evaluate them that I can recall since I've been on this board. Feel free to post anything that I have missed.
ZH lets their emotions get in the way of investing.
The way YOU define "investing" it does.
Most of us here are in real assets. Let us know how that "buy and hold" works out, because if you are "buying, then selling, then buying" you aren't investing, you're TRADING.
Now for a TRADE... Yeah, AAPL was awesome. But it's looking a little long in the tooth right now, and the USD looks like the best short term bet (or maybe VIXY).
what AAPL fundamentals? Selling high-margin yet technically outmatched luxury designer gadgets in a niche swamped by competent competitors through the use of a personality cult whose god has now left the ship? Please, do go on about how this is sustainable through a global depression.
AAPL is the new global "flexible accumulation" retail monster of the 21st century. Last time I checked, dead gods are necessary for a religion to grow stronger.

Yes, this is what happens in correlation to not convincing your wife that after four hours she had to call a friend, and What the Russian Stock market just did.
The similarity between the NFLX and AAPL charts compared in this post is that both had island tops at the end of their mania. Today's top consummation sends a signal to all of the hedge fund "follow the herd crowd" that it is time to find a new parking place for all of that overly abundant capital.
If you have overly abundant capital I know an overly sunburnt blonde with a brown bag thats just hoping for people like you. Downside you will never see that cash again.
Looking more VW-like with every HFT second since ZH chose the path of insult. Thanks $4,231,956 Mr Durden. You are our hero today. We are all rocking in our trading chairs cheering you shouting "VW, Apple, ZH"

Wouldn't you love that Plunger Boy? I prefer to ride the Tyler Durden AAPL squeeze of 23 April 2012 on leverage... AAPL green as I type.
ZH lets their emotions get in the way of investing. Apple was trading at $14 in 2004, everyone on this board wished they would have bought Apple back then. They salivate at apple stumbling because they weren't smart enough to invest in the greatest company of the past 10 years. Apple vs. Netflix is a stupid comparison. and AAPL was $31 in 2000. Your point is ?
Agreed Kayman
$31 in 2000
$14 in 2004
$600 in 2012
Maybe we should entertain the possibility that buy and hold is a sucker's game? Hmm?
Well, buying AAPL at $14 or $31 and riding it to $600 fits a good "buy and hold" strategy (in hindsight)
Buying AAPL at $600 and expecting it to rise to $12,000 - $43,000 means selling a lot of electronic hoola-hoops.
At $100/share cash, they are not going to drop into oblivion quickly either.
Agreed if you had known in 2000 it would go to 14 (actually went a good bit lower) you would have been stupid to buy and hold.
But you didn't know. Buy and hold protects you from your own stupidity.
The way YOU define "investing" it does.

the Tyler Durden AAPL Short Squeeze of April 23 2012 was pretty impressive. One for the record books.

Btw, AAPL won't paint the same picture as NFLX. Though I do think we've seen AAPL become MSFT ala dot.com bubble.

Apple VS Enron?
Well if AAPL goes to 200, I'm all in; no matter what the rest of the financial sector melts down to.
The only thing that is going to stop the Core, is anti-competition laws.
They have a huge R+D programme with all sorts of new products, unlike Macrosoft, HP and the rest of the middle-aged hi-tech monsters.
Mind you, they've spent way too much in a new HQ. That's a bad sign.
Try to keep objective folks, and sort the wheat from the chaff.
Good company or not, when the earthquake hits, the big buildings have the farthest to fall.
Apple was a better company in 2000, and it didn't save their stock price then either.
