Guest Post: Ignorance Is Bliss; So Go Back To Sleep
Submitted by Mike Krieger of A Lightning War For Liberty blog,
Whenever the legislators endeavor to take away, and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any farther obedience.
- John Locke
When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the system’s game. The establishment will irritate you – pull your beard, flick your face – to make you fight. Because once they’ve got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don’t know how to handle is non-violence and humor.
- John Lennon
When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.

Go Back to Sleep
Most of you that are taking the time to read this have already experienced some level of “waking up” over the past several years or longer. Most of you have also probably felt from time to time that the knowledge you possess is a burden and have fully appreciated the meaning of “ignorance is bliss.” I know this because I have felt these very same emotions at times. The most important thing to remember; however, is that we are just awake individuals within a wave or cycle of awakening. There were those that came before us and there will be many, many more to come after us.
Last Thursday, I was at Freedom Fest in Vegas for a brief stint and I had the honor to meet and break bread with some of the most influential minds in the Liberty Movement. As I sat there at the table at Delmonico’s, thoroughly impressed with the intellect, commitment and total sense of purpose of the people around me I became more sure than ever that TPTB don’t stand a chance. The problem for those control freak clowns is that ten years ago they had at least 95% of the American populace completely asleep. I would estimate that number at the moment to be around 75%. If I am anywhere close to being right, that means that 25% of the population is at least somewhat aware that things aren’t as they appear to be. They are asking serious questions and looking for serious answers.
Breaking it down even further, I would say that 5% of the population can be described as fully awake and somewhat committed to fully committed. This is something like 15 million Americans and is more than enough. Most importantly, once you are truly awakened you never go back to sleep. In my five years or so in this adventure I have seen the transformative process of many, many people within my personal circle of friends and contacts. Not ONE, I repeat not ONE of them has ever fallen back into the matrix mindset. It just doesn’t happen and it reminds me of quotes about truth and lies. As Mark Twain said “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” Then there is the counter quote from I can’t remember who that “lies require commitment.” Believe me, they are committed! That said, too much is coming out now and what TPTB are doing in the markets is desperately manipulating everything so that another wave does not wake up. There are terrified that this next wave of people will be the tipping point for their control structure. They are correct but it is coming soon to smack them in the face no matter what they do.
Obama’s Executive Orders…Connecting the Dots
While we all know about the NDAA, which Obama signed into law late last year that opens the door to the incarceration of American citizens without a trial, what is a little less known are a series of Executive Orders signed by our Noble Peace prize winning Assassinator in Chief. Of particular interest to me are Executive Order 13603, or “The National Defense Resources Preparedness,” and Executive Order 13618, “The Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions.” You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to get what these EO’s are all about. The first one basically gives government control of any and all resources it needs (and seemingly the ability to nullify or suspend existing private agreements) “if” there is a national emergency, while the second one does the same for communications. So essentially our wonderful government that cares about us so very much is setting the stage to take total control (natural resources and the means of communication) whenever this national emergency that they seem to be fully anticipating comes to fruition. A good summary of all the EO’s can be found here. They expect the sheeple to be in such a catatonic state of fear and shock that they will beg for daddy government to take away all their rights and ignore the Constitution so that their EBT cards work. Why else do you think the government is desperately trying to get as many Americans on food stamps as possible? See my post “The Government is Encouraging More Food Stamp Usage, Calling it “Stimulus”.
Obama Tells Americans “Your Success Wasn’t Yours”
Regular readers understand that I do not believe there is “free market capitalism” in America today. Sure there are remnants of it left, but increasingly there is simply crony capitalism in which the Federal government partners with large corporate interests to allow them to grow bigger, more powerful and importantly, more dependent on the government itself for its profits and influence. This is deliberate, just as it is a deliberate plan to get more people on food stamps. It is all about power and control. That said, there are still many small businesses and also large business owners that got to where they are through their own blood, sweat, tears as well as intellect and vision. While the 0.01% financial oligarchs and crony capitalists all over America should be exposed and called out for the traitorous parasites that they are, this should not mean we just lump all successful people into this category. Yet, this is exactly what our pathological liar President did in his most recent demonstration of verbal diarrhea. I am sure everyone has already seen this clip, but I am mentioning it nonetheless because it is so significant. He stated:
Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there… If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.
I mean every time I think this guy can’t hit a new low he manages to achieve one within a week. No mention of the fact that a top campaign contributor to him, Jon Corzine, is a thieving crook. Nah, nothing to see here folks. Meanwhile, if you read between the lines of his little tirade (look how angry he looks in the video), it is clear what he is trying to say. You are a nobody. You are nothing without the state and without the good graces of the political elite. We own you. If the political leaders in Washington D.C. that produce absolutely nothing but hot air and then steal from you left and right say that you do not even own your own success, then indeed you own nothing. This fits in perfectly with the Executive Orders I referred to earlier. The game plan and meme here is obvious. You are cattle. The government owns your land and its resources, your success and ultimately your mind. Are we going to let them have them?

I'm ready, but I doubt many are. Many of those in the Liberty Movement think that humpy dumpty gets put back together. That's not going to happen and we shouldn't want that. The system must fall and the strongest get to make the new rules. Arm yourself accordingly.
Uhhh...problem. The "strongest" are making the rules right now.
They hold the guns to the heads of all Americans.
You're hoping for another "strongest" to arise?
A more perfect "strongest"?
How about you replace the system with *nothing* instead?
Ha..I shudder at the thought of our govt getting any stronger, be that the current one or a seceded one. I'm just saying that a state or region going their own way and 'reinstalling' the constitution within their new borders is the only chance we have left; otherwise we're all going down with the ship.. financially speaking at the very least.
No illusions here.
It's going to fall (IS falling) apart fast. I've been preparing as have most of you.
Those of us fortunate enough to emerge from the fur ball unscathed may very well have to deal with a "Committee for Public Safety" scenario, as did the French.
I'm all for decorating the lamp posts with crooks and crooked politicians, but the question remains...where will the hanging end?
Ready to secede yet?
I seceded a while ago. Kinda cool to see other folks who think similarly. :)
If at first you don't secede, try, try again.
Actually rural North Texas seceded years ago....
We just thought it best not to tell anyone..........Yet. :)
I can't speak for anybody else, but once you wake up it's not possible to go back to sleep.
The more you look the more awake you get; then you can't stop looking.
Notorious "Foreclosure Mill" Harmon Law owns Commonwealth Auctions. Take a look at the auction "bids" submitted by Fannie Mae and HUD on June 8, 2012. Shortly after this was printed, the Commonwealth Auction website was taken offline..for approximately one week. It's fine now. The fraud is all patched up.
Harmon Law Commonwealth Auctions Foreclosure Fraud Factory 6-8-2012
This non-stop fraud shit is enough to make one physically ill.
I agree. The problem is though it can become consuming. I spend more time digging and researching in the past 10 years than my previous 40 years combined.
It sucks that "they" get away with it all the time.
FNMA bid - $194, HUD bid $190, etc.
I'm figuring this scum outfit made a new hire who wasn't up to speed on the fraud and keyed in these numbers.
I suspect the system was taken off-line after someone noticed it internally for a good "scrubbing".
One of these days I'm sure I will get kicked off of scribd. I put a lot of fun stuff on there.
It sucks that "they" get away with it all the time.
Indeed. It does.
However, it's just a numbers game. When average folks figure out that obeying thieves and liars is NOT their god-ordained duty in life, "they" are finished.
"I can't speak for anybody else, but once you wake up it's not possible to go back to sleep."
I concur with that chunga.
Ironically, I traded much better in the islands last year, when I was arms length from the American sheeple.
I could firmly control the information coming at me, and thought with a clearer head......now, not so much.
My clients don't understand that.....
At least once a day I tell myself I should take the fukitall pill and just go back to sleep, for my own sanity.
No.
Wakey wakey eggs and bakey...
I mean every time I think this guy can’t hit a new low he manages to achieve one within a week.

So far off that last sentence, anything but typical.
He promised he would fundamentally change this country, and its the only thing he's said that is true.He said we would have Hope & Change...............we got the Change, but NO Hope.
Unless your a non citizen living here.
The black/elderly/hispanic community is getting killed in this Hope n' Change.
I would hate to see his definition of really NO Hope.
I'm really sick of the idiotic use of 'sheeple'.
It was never particularly clever in the first, and has become an annoying buzzword that signals it's user has nothing to add to any conversation.
I agree. Why resort to pejoratives when you've got the facts to back you up. And the liberty movement has got the facts.
Is Michelle Bachmann in or out of the liberty movement? Nobody's talking about her at all around here. Not trying to start an argument, just wanna know.
She's not in the circle of people with whom I chose to associate. I can't speak for others. I don't see her as being particularly pro-liberty, do you?
Honestly, I've heard the "liberty" rap, but it sounds like religion to me and, yes, she sounds "pro-liberty" in that no matter how crazy she is, she spins it as "liberty" driven. She is certainly TP, right? Are any TP excluded from the "liberty movement," by either their own or somebody else's determination?
Whaddya think of her anti-muslim infiltrators trip?
Each human experiences his own life first hand and knows his own needs, talents and desires better than any bureaucrat. There is no religious sentiment involved, simply the gathering of imperical data by those present and immediately concerned
Statists believe that an elite and privileged class has esoteric knowledge which allows them to make better decisions for millions or billions of individuals whom they have never met than those individuals can make themselves. That is religion of the worst kind. How could you possibly suggest otherwise?
You'd have to clue me in. I don't follow her like you do.
http://www.salon.com/2012/07/13/bachmann%E2%80%99s_muslim_witch_hunt/
I skimmed the first paragraph and lost interest. Is there a reason why I should care about Michelle Bachman?
What I would like to know is what I asked above: How is making decisions for oneself based on a knowledge of one's own situation a religious position? Why is appealing to an elite class for esoteric answers to questions which can not possibly be answered by any individual not religious?
UH! ALL THEM HIGH ENERGY FANTASTIC POST, HA HA HA HA NO SLEEPING HERE !
Here's an inconveniently more accurate transcript of Obama's statement. Note the statements about investments in roads and bridges that preceeds the one "you didn't build that." Listen to the actual video and it's pretty clear that he's referring to the building of roads and bridges that you, business owner, did not do on your own.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/blog/watercooler/2012/jul/15/picketvideo-...
Hey, Obama's a irredeemable piece of shit, imo. I'll never vote for him.
He's plenty of sociopathic lies without manufacturing ones that you like better, folks. If the Liberty Movement is gonna claim a higher standard, it should start measuring up itself.
Anybody interested in rebuking crazy Michelle Bachmann's neo-mccarthyism, btw?
The implication is of course that the government is the only thing capable of building roads and bridges, which is verifiably untrue throughout history. It's an age-old disingenuous statist argument.
The government builds roads and bridges - with tax money confiscated from its citizens. So Obama, if we've got roads and bridges, yeah, everyone who paid taxes did kind of build that, the government didn't simply bless us with this infrastructure out of its infinite benevolence.
What a vote-pandering scumbag.
Yeah, everybody who paid taxes did build that. Not kinda, but simple fact.
Obama's a pandering, lying POS, no doubt about it.
I don't find the same thing, or worse, on the supposed "other" side encouraging, to put it mildly.
People who give a shit about what they call the "Liberty Movement" should clean up their own shit as well, imo. A self-righteous ecstacy passing as a reverent devotion to "Liberty" massing for the Final Crusade against socialism just doesn't cut it.
Is it OK if I just want to live my own life by my own lights?
Go ahead. It's just over the hill up yonder, I'm sure of it!
I'll leave such religious notions to the statists. They're the ones who look to the holy city and the priestly class for answers that they should strive to reach for themselves.
Either way, it is a crappy thing to say....and those cut out sentences that came before it or after it doesn't change his meaning.....unlike many things taken out of context, this statement is still bovine excrement....Your moral equivalence does you no credit either.....
Taxes to build these things are stolen from the people that work & produce. Before they can work and produce (to earn an income) they must have a job and therefore an income. So the business that provides the job & income comes before the roads and infrastructure... His statement like everything else that comes from his mouth is bullshit marxist rhetoric....
Do you ever use the infrastructure that the money stolen from you helped build? Do you think you should be free to use the infrastructure, and benefit from it, without having to contribute anything to it's building?
New subject: So the business that provides the job & income comes before the roads and infrastructure...
Am I to take that statement at face value? If so, do you not realize how much less jobs and income there would be if we didn't have the extensive roads and infrastructure that we have? It is those roads and infrastructure that have enabled the phenomenal growth in this country. But perhaps I misunderstand your point.
The bottom line is that the government does do some useful functions. The forgotten part is that they did it for everyone. So when someone succeeds they start with the same roads that the failures drive on.
The state secures the borders. Without them the Huns take over. You owe them everything. Accept it and stop whining.

Profound essay TD/ZH, one of the best yet...
Whats all that CD"S shit about then?
It's getting easier to stay awake now that they don't even bother to hide half the criminal shit they do.
Real Eyes.
Realise.
Real Lies.
I work with a bunch of engineers. For the most part they are awake. Engineers are still required to think logically and critically. Not to mention they tend to have more going on betwn. the ears. However, outside of this segment I know of no one else who truly sees how we in the U.S. have fallen and have yet to hit the ground.
To bring up what's really going on in the world, from unending war, unmitigated fraud, Drones coming to a traffic light near you, etc... is bad social manners. To speak of these things at work can be job limiting perhaps leading to eventual unemployment. The overall populace wants to remain ignorant and they let you know it in a very direct fashion.
Thomas Jefferson
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty
So do I. Not a single one of them has a fucking clue. Solidworks unicorns.
Instruct them to use wire surface mesh, they may see more inside.
That would take several meetings to decide on a meeting to contact tech support to have a lunch meeting (Panera or Pizza?) to have a review of the last meeting with a conclusion of "Let's ask the shop guy!"
Unicorn Dongles.
I'm a mechanical engineer and my office has about 20 mechanical and electrical engineers working here. I'd say that a full 50% of the guys under 35 are awake, but not a single guy over 35 has a damn clue. It's not just engineers though. The younger "internet" generation as a whole has a far greater connection to reality than the previous generation. Give us about 10-20 more years to start pulling the levers of power and you'll start to see some profound changes in this society. The vast communication network made available by the internet really did change everything. We're just now starting to see the consequences of this network. I suspect things are going to ger worse before they get better, but on the whole, we have every reason to be optimistic.
Don't discount the Remnant. Ron Paul is 76 years old.
Engineers and doctors are directly responsible for their acts. They see their own non performance immediately as its based on empirical laws deeply engrained and delivers concrete results that cannot be swept under a carpet. More so for engineers. Financiers and economsts can always hide behind "our thinking is not as exact science. We did our best."
In the financial world you can see the hand wringing and the "I am so sorry, I regret our past negligence" now being prepared by an army of corporate lawyers.
And those who will judge them were complicit in the past of looking the other way when they were not receiving cash in their bank accounts and hookers in their vacation beds, all paid by plush corporate expense accounts.
I also work with many engineers, they are sound asleep and only care about their pension, S&P price, 0.5% raise. Most have multiple kids in school (K-12, college) and are completly ignorant of the real picture.
I would say less than 5% of the population is awake. I completly agree with your 2nd paragraph, well worded.
ditto
Yes it is true, scientists especially physicists
have very clear vision.
Not to mention optometrists.
I used to speak of gold, fractional reserve banking, etc with the owners of our company.
I knew I got through when one day a couple years ago he asked if I thought that gold could continue to go up.
My answer: Do you think they will stop expanding the debt supply?
Just discuss sports to show them you're a regular guy;then drop a few hints here and there about the coming Apocalypse. Hey, what about those Jets...
Most of you that are taking the time to read this have already experienced some level of “waking up” over the past several years or longer.
I am SO awake. I've had the sh*t slapped out of me for the past couple of years.
Locked and loaded, too. Something has to give here soon. Bring it.
There was a day when you had your pick of three TV news network anchors, three newsmagazines, and one or two metropolitan daily papers, one or two weekly local papers. I lived in that world circa 1992.
Today, it seems like 90% of my circle of professional, well-educated friends are well aware that there is a dead rat stinking up the place, but feel that they can't do much about it, keep a low profile, and are waiting with dreadful anticipation about what's coming down the pike. Americans aren't good at dealing with death, be it of a relative or their public sphere. The most common response is to focus on private concerns and push the rest out of mind. I'm starting to wonder if that isn't the best way for health, wealth, and sanity. But I won't be getting my marching orders from 'U.S. News and Newsweek Time Report' that's for sure.
i tried to go back to sleep, but i woke up to nightmares that belonged to someone else...
Again, the curtain will eventually expose the wizzard. What scares the shit out of me is Obama's rabbi. How does someone with a fake birth certificate, a draft card printed on a paper that says revised with a date after his issued date, a SS number from Connecticut, and then someone produces a Kenyan birth certificate. All of this and no one in congress will go near the topic. There must be some god somewhere that everyone who knows, is terrified to do anything about it. Who the hell is that power that be? Someone mentioned the military. I'm beginning to think that's our only hope. That they defend the constitution and the people.
You put your finger on the problem when you said, "All of this and no one in congress will go near the topic." We really don't have to look beyond Congress to understand the root of the problem IMO. Those bastards are not working for us, but for themselves. All they care about is getting re-elected and possible avoiding exposure as pedophiles. Somebody has them by the short hairs.
"Most importantly, once you are truly awakened you never go back to sleep."
you just get numb and tired
With insomnia, nothing is real. Everything is far away. Everything is a copy of a copy of a copy.
"Until recently, I was in full support of a return to the gold standard. After all, backing money by a finite resource that can not be printed out of thin air would be vastly superior to the fiat money system we have today. It would take power away from the money creators, limit government spending and demand some degree of fiscal restraint on a political class that has been spending recklessly.
However, the more studying that I’ve done, the less inclined I am to believe that the gold standard is the optimal solution. Gold-backed money still creates conditions whereby a small group can concentrate resources and create artificial scarcity where is otherwise would not exist. Besides, the banking elite already own a good majority of the world’s gold. Even in the U.S., many believe the FED has long ago taken control of U.S. gold reserves, the largest in the world. Plus, upon any hint of a move towards a gold standard, the richest in society will simply use their fiat wealth to purchase most of the available gold and leave little for the rest of society. While gold investors with foresight will be rewarded, by and large a gold standard will do nothing to address the concentration of wealth and resources that currently plague society.
While many also clamor for ending the FED, we should remember that it is not just the Federal Reserve, but the model of fractional-reserve banking that is the problem. The concern with implementing a gold standard is the potential for fractional-reserve gold backing, either from the onset or over time. We must keep in mind that it is not solely what is backing the money that matters, but to what extent. Of course we should support the elimination of a group of private bankers that have stolen the money-printing power from the people, but let’s keep in mind that we can’t allow another entity, public or private, to institute the same type of fractional-reserve banking in its place.
In our current monetary and banking system, all money is created out of thin air by a private banking cartel and then loaned into circulation at interest. This is done first by the Federal Reserve, via its purchase of government bonds; and second by commercial banks, via fractional reserve lending. Most loans secured from a bank are nothing more than a computer entry and in return, the banks can demand that you pay them back interest that often exceeds the original loan amount. No wonder the banks tried so hard for so long to usurp the money creation from the government.
There are critical flaws inherent in this system, which are only now beginning to be exposed on the world stage.
When the banking cartel loans money, only the principal gets created, not the interest. This is why the overall indebtedness of the economy is always several times greater than even the most liberal estimate of the money supply. Put simply, if society was to pay back the principal of all outstanding loans, there would be no more money left in existence. And still, the interest would be owed to the banks.
When a bank loans someone $100,000, they require that person pay back the $100,000, plus interest of say $10,000. So, $100,000 was created, but $110,000 is now owed back. But where does the extra $10,000 come from? It does not exist! As a result, the only way an individual or small business can pay back the interest owed is to capture a portion of someone else’s loan principal through the process of commerce, theft or taking on additional debt, which can also never be repaid.
I hope you are starting to get a sense of just how perverse and unsustainable the current monetary system is. It is certainly great for the banks, but the rest of society is left fighting to try to attain each others’ principal in order to pay back their own loans and avoid bankruptcy or imprisonment. Obviously, this type of environment encourages abhorrent behavior and reduces humans to nothing more than enslaved animals.
So we see that, under our debt-based money system, interest can never truly be paid off, but can only be shifted from one person to another. That more than anything else is what creates our dog-eat-dog, musical chairs economy — an economy in which millions of people work frantically to capture other people’s loan principal; and in which virtually everyone works (to one extent or another, and whether they realize it or not) as indentured servants to the banking elite. There is no freedom in this system.
“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Debt-Free and Interest-Free Money
One proposed solution to fix this problem is to replace our debt-based money system with a debt-free money system. Under a debt-free money system, all new money would be spent into circulation interest-free instead of loaned into circulation at interest. This is just common sense. If the government can issue a dollar bond, it can issue a dollar bill. Both have the same backing. The only difference is that one bears interest, the other doesn’t; one serves the banking elite, the other serves the general public. for more click link: http://www.goldstockbull.com/articles/debt-free-money-resource-based-economy-superior-gold-standard/
WTF?
"When a bank loans someone $100,000, they require that person pay back the $100,000, plus interest of say $10,000. So, $100,000 was created, but $110,000 is now owed back. But where does the extra $10,000 come from? It does not exist!"
The 10k is the only money that does exist.
Clearly he doesn't understand fractional reserve banking.
He understands it well enough to see that it is the combination of fractional reserve banking plus interest that is so deadly for the economy, IMO. This is what leads to boom-bust cycles. The government plays a lot of tricks both on the upside and the downside, lining the pockets of their cronies in the so-called private sector, particularly the banks themselves. As many have commented on this blog, all money is essentially debt, and it is the addition of interest which creates the blowing and collapsing of bubbles. In this particular cycle, our wonderful representatives in Congress have been so co-opted that they have erected no barriers to this and demolished the one barrier, Glass-Steagal, that might have had a braking effect. Now we just have to wait for the whole system to collapse and the inevitable wars and rise of fascism that accompanies that. Our elites have grown so arrogant that they think the law of unintended consequences does not apply to them. Funny that they are all required to read Greek plays in their freshman year at the elite colleges and universities they attend. All they took from that is that the furies will go after the little people and leave themselves untouched. They view their wealth as the impenetrable walls of their redoubts, imagining that they have built their houses on rock.
Sometime in the mid-90s I was listening to one of those Southern guys on the shortwave. He happened to mention in passing that all our money is borrowed. All of a sudden a lot of things fell into place for me.
So, how does your "system" deal with dollar inflation? Whether the FED prints or the treasury, it is the printing that is the problem. Eliminate legal tender laws. Let the people decide what is money. You don't need any kind of standard. You don't need any kind of system.
If your money sucks, I don't want it. An unbelieveably powerful message for change. Or, just consult Gresham's law.
I liked the quote from John Lennon. They do want you to commit acts of violence so that they can then accuse those involved of reprehensible, senseless dangerous behaviour and that then justifies the use of maximum force to quell it. eg. Toronto G-20 Summit summer 2011, a hammer to kill a fly. MLK had it right, peaceful disobedience.

Freedom Fest in Las Vegas. Hanging with Turd and the Judge?
Mike, get to the heart of the problem. That would be the bankster crime syndicate.
Focusing on Spanky and Buckwheat isn't going to work. They are captive to those interests.
I find a sad humor in the insistance that our federal system it brokem. It is not broken, we are simply using it wrong. The reason we have separate states is because people is different parts of the country have vastly different perceptions and interests. We were never meant to have a strong centralized government because it would deadlock and lead to oppression and what do you know...look at us now.
The goons who say the system is broken are essentially saying that they are smarter than The founding fathers who foresaw the potential for this precise dilemma.
As a Libertarian I have to wonder if my vote for Gary Johnson is essentially a vote for Obama. What is greater, my love of Libery or my fear of that man?
Amen Brother! I live 'down south'. The majority here does not share the same morals, goals, ideals as the population in California or New York. That is the way it is. Don't force me to think/live like them and we will not force our ideals upon them....and everything will be OK.
As for your vote....you know what you need to do. You can continue to spread the word if the country is still together. If it isn't or if the world is gone, then what does it matter.
You are a Nobody,dont compute.
Anyone born is a somebody,no matter if you ow the world,or you live downtown, Favela Rio,Chinatown Stockholm, then the fact is,everybody is somebody:
Just like the Corzine just is another somebody,he just have some good friends, even though they are Bad.
Just like Change can go two ways, for the better of everybody or the worse,se,dont excist Nobody, plain nonsens!
And yes,one has to agree,if you open the BOX,the lit wont fit anymore.

"You're doped with religion and sex and tv, and you think you're so clever and classless and free, but you're still a fucking peasant as far as I can see."
Lennon wore two hats. The hippy-dippy/junkie-cynic/plastic Ono band/publicity stunt hat, and the hat of a Liverpool boy that had a good bullshit detector, and a generous spirit. I like Lennon #2 very much.
Lennon #2 was also into the Blues and Rockabilly, and other good stuff.
Was Lennon 2 in "The Dirty Mac"?
I haven't seen their T.V. special, but as Clapton was involved, I'd have to say, "yes".

Allright allright allright. Made my Thursday nite. Beaucoup disco shit right there.
Glad I could help.
Heh, I would digress as to how "awakened" the liberty movement is. For what I read from some, they seem more asleep than the so called sheeple.
"Look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. Somebody else made that happen."
I bet this is what he wished happened with Solyndra.
"in all things we describe, we merely only describe ourselves"

Yep. Maybe a milk cow would even be a slightly better metaphor. They certainly don't want us just standing around getting fat. They want our income taxes, and yields on our investments, and our productivity, and consumerism. They don't want to totally slaughter us until the milk is gone. But we all know what happens after that.
Approvingly quoting liberals Locke, Lennon, and Hendrix is not a good way to start an article condemning runaway liberalism.
Your obsession with labeling indicates you are a moron. Cattle boy.
Yes, Locke was a real moonbat, he inspired socialist bums like Patrick Henry, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson.... jeeze, read a history book Rustymason! Did you confuse him with the Chinese politician from Washington State???
Grumbling to an aide one day about soaring business expenses, he was reminded: ‘Imagine no possessions, John.’ Lennon shot back: ‘It’s only a bloody song!’

Herr Krieger is on target.
Recent federal usurpations of power and imperial decrees are obvious signs of an evolving totalitarian surveillance police state, presumably to be enforced by Dept of Fatherland Tyranny with their orders for 450 million rounds of .40 cal jacketed hollowpoints, 170 million rounds of .223 rifle ammo, armored humvees and armed drone aircraft.
I did not really start waking up until 2006 and was not wide awake until 2008. I too have also noticed a steading waking-up of many colleagues, clients, friends and family members, particularly over the last couple years.
Meanwhile, I talk to people everywhere as much as possible, helping many wide-awake people acquire food, silver and steel & lead, "the other precious metals." At least a dozen people who were unarmed in 2008 are armed now, about half with multiple firearms and plenty of ammo.
Indeed, the wait for a pistol license approval is now up to 10-12 months in NYS.
Mike Kreiger should have said to listen to Alex Jones. www.prisonplanet.com www.infowars.com
I understand the appeal of ignorance is bliss. That being said I would rather be awake than asleep - my own awakening started in 2001. Very few friends and family see what is happening but I still put it out there when I think it might make a difference. And sometimes it does. I occasionally post financial articles on facebook (I know and I really don't care that my posts are tracked) and an old friend who I haven't seen in twenty years recently wrote "Thanks for posting all the articles on financial fraud - if it weren't for you, I wouldn't know who Matt Taibbi is".
Next week is our family's annual trek to cottage country in Northern Ontario - three generations, early cocktail hour, boats, fishing, swimming, board games and no internet. I'm looking forward to a week of self-imposed ignorance and bliss.
that is true, once you are awake you cannot go back to sleep. i pace the floors at night, feel trapped like a caged animal, like there is no where to run. ... . worry about the children. we must get rid of central banking, money created out of thin air and usery, odious debt.
Just remember what Solzhenitsyn said about his gulag experience and how they all kicked themselves in the rear for not resisting then and there when they were grabbed off the street or in their apartment and how that could have stopped it. That there were too many of them for the State to have overwhelmed otherwise.
RESIST IMMEDIATELY WITH DEADLY FORCE OR FOREVER BE DAMNED, BODY AND SOUL.
Otherwise, I will be cursing the rest of you as my bullets fly in vain and will later haunt your dreams as your stomach gurgles with swill at some FEMA camp.
I think it takes alot to wake people up from the reality they have grown used to.
For example, there was a mini crash in 2006 in Iceland. People saw the stockmarket fall among other signs of problems indicating that the finacial sector was not as invincible as previously believed.
Danske Banks's economist Lars Christiansen wrote a report about the Icelandic economic wonder, where he predicted a hard landing http://www.vb.is/frett/50795/?q=Bank.
People went nuts, a certain member of parliament said that LC needed to be re-educated.
The general public was outraged, this had to be jelousy or some damn foreigners trying to sabotage the banking business that was a unbelievable success story from day one, growing at a rate far beond anything anyone had ever seen before.
The truth did not hit people until the entire economy crashed in a space of one week.
People had no reason not to trust the bankers and politicians, so they did.
I was and still am one of the Sheeple, one of the 99%. I dont think those who are not awake yet are stupid, just cautious.
I have read and heard anger, hostility and despair. The article talks about a "liberty movement", but it is one that is not defined by action- thus leaving it flaccid and impotent. There are references to burning it all down and an atmosphere of smug intelligensia- I've figured it out.
A well read history would show us a different picture. It shows a pendulum of movement that sees labor under pressure and labor advancing. Rule by tyrants and rule by committee. There is rarely rule by excellence nor liberty and justice for all. There is just a history of parasiticism by elite dynasties.
The people are divorced from power by illusion. The illusion is strong. It begins in school, it is repeated by media and made golden in our celebrations of war heroes, patriotism, nationalism, ad nauseum. It is clothed in flags and souza songs. Damn it, we are proud to be slaves of a winner!
No one can take your liberty. There is a cost, sometimes death, but no one can take liberty from you- YOU HAVE TO SURRENDER IT. Most of us do it willingly, in exchange for some promise of security or convenience.
The problem is: if we are to have organized society for the benefits of efficiency and group dynamics, how are we to structure it? How do we safeguard ourselves from those we will chose to provide the best society possible? What will be the power that keeps the ones we surrender our power to from abusing it?
The founders thought if you divided the power, it would protect us all. That failed. People think direct democracy, but that fails. There are no philosopher kings. Religion can work, but leaders must bow before god and that has failed as well.
If we cannot control the abuse of power, perhaps the decentralization of power is the only solution. If power is so limited, it fails to present a clear danger, can we find liberty with responsibility there?
As to the illusion you speak of imho the only positive to come out of Obama's election and the terrible economic mess is the fact stated in the article above: more and more people are awakening to the fact that the government is no longer for the people. I for one can never look at things the same. I see evil intentions behind every political act anymore. They aren't even shy any longer about their adgenda. Your comment brings to light some important questions as to our future. Who can know what is in a man's heart when he promises to do his best for his countrymen? Screw group dynamics - that's half of the problem today. One must always depend on oneself first.
One must always depend on oneself first.
Really? From where is your dinner coming tonight? Your breakfast tomorrow. The gas for your car? The water that you drink? The road that you will drive on?
To depend on yourself first, you must go find a forest far in the north of Canada where nothing made by humans can be found. Now, depend on yourself first. Oh wait, did you make that gun you are carrying, and the clothes you are wearing?
Depend on yourself first ... How impossible.
i tried that "going back to sleep" thing a few months ago. it didnt work out so well. after watching and reading peter schiff during the 2008 crisis to then being introduced to the mises website and all its content, to following the exploits of ron paul and his insanely simplistic yet realistic take on politics and economics to sites like Zerohedge, i am damned to live in a shithole world i know is a shithole and theres little i can do about it.
to the Tyler's here, i admit that i read the columns and comments and then follow it up with a quick google search to find out what the hell it was i just read but i have learned a whole lot being here for sure.
i do have to agree that there are alot of people who are waking up to what is going on today. the problem is making sure that when they awake from the slumber they dont join the marxists and fascists in the occupy crowds. intellectual wet nurses must be there to greet those newly freed from the matrix and groomed to understand liberty and freedom and what true capitalism means.
oh and fuck you bernanke.
Normalcy bias is the sleep. People really just want to be left alone and live a normal life, not an extraordinay life of changing things, or even themselves. At least that's what I observe with the highly intelligent people, and the less so, in my life.
Nobody believes me when I try to explain fractional reserve banking. I can't even get them to accept that the Federal Reserve is privately owned.
But when investments come up, I always say that despite sounding a little kooky, they should have at least a little physical gold or silver, just for insurance against a defaulting currency. They take that as a reasonable suggestion, and then do nothing about it. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make 'em drink. or think.
You can lead a whore to culture but you can't make her cultivate.
it is true that a relatively small but agitated minority can win the war but it is over.....look at the cameras at every street corner - not to protect but to track and survey.....has anyone tried to get a driver's license lately?....it is not for security but for tracking, surveillance, and control....homelessness is a crime....
why should anyone be denied the right to operate a vehicle based upon residency?? the ability to operate a vehicle should be a right - not a privilege - provided that one is capable of operating it properly.
has anyone tried to apply for a job recently? you must literally fill out a mountain of paperwork just to be employed.
has anyone tried to get a notarization lately? you have to supply a thumb print.
america is nazi nation....
the wickedness of the bush crime syndicate is of biblical proportions....the liberty movement has all of my support but it is outfunded and outwitted.....the bush/cia operatives are the best of the best....they will destroy you faster than you can say fuck off.
Europe is becoming like that also, its the new system, out with democracy and freedom and in whith the "Friendly fascism" Its not as bad as the nazis, but not something normal people would chose.
I think something like the EU project must be time sensitive, if things are not working according to plan the risk of failure increases very fast. Right now things are not looking good for the EU. And if it goes, so will USA.
Its not unlikely that someone will be held to account, and the culprits are rather obvious in this case.
... the ability to operate a vehicle should be a right - not a privilege ...
No one has a right to do anything that someone else must pay for. The ability to do things that others pay for you to do will always remain a privilege. We all pay some, but not all, of the costs to maintain roads and clean up accidents, and keep speeds sane. Therefore, driving will never be a right, always a privilege.
Each of us certainly owes a debt to our predecessors and mentors. And every business and individual benefits from subsidized education, infrastructure and the level playing field provided by our liberties and judicial system.
However, Obama's mistake (and every leftist for that matter) is assuing that a debt to "society" should be collected by the governement. The goverment is just another human enterprise just as misguided and beholden as any other business, corporation or individual to the benefits bestowed by wise people, mother earth and the universe. The government has no right to collect on that abstract obligation.
So we pay taxes, and we should pay our fair share, but Obama and the goverment have no claim on the fruits of our determination, bravery, creativity or vision. This is the key flaw in leftist thinking: that the state may plunder and lay claim to all human accomplishment, when all they really do is hinder it.
Liberal but not Leftist.
Kansas, Sparks of the Tempest,
"The sparks of the tempest rage a hundred years on
The voice of the dreamer screams, the cause of the pawn
The King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game
Darkness is spreading like a spot on the sun
The dead are the living in the age of the gun
While everyone clamors for the justice they seek
The world is corrupted and the strong take the weak
They mold you and shape you, they watch what you do
The sparks of the tempest are burnin' you through
Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain
The future is managed, and your freedom's a joke
You don't know the difference as you put on the yoke
The less that you know the more you fall into place
A cog in the wheel, there is no soul in your face
Run for the cover, Millennium's here
Bearing the standard of confusion and fear
Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain
Blood in the sand, a cry in the street
Now the cycle is nearly complete.
Ten thousand years, and nothing was learned
No turning back, now the wheel has turned
Big Brother is watching and he likes what he sees
A world for the taking, when he's ready to squeeze
The King and the Queen are gone, each piece is the same
The difference between us is a part of the game
Soothsayer saying now tell me no lies
What is this madness that is filling the skies
Spreading like wildfire, fallin' like rain
Though they may promise, they only bring pain"
Sometimes I do want to go back into the Matrix.
Americans are completely bought off, and terrified of the blacks, so terrified that they have to treat them like pets and shower them with all sorts of free stuff. They also convince themselves that some random Arab in the desert is their enemy, when the Jewish banksters suck them dry at home.
The Asians and Mexicans may not save this country, if anything they're arrival is a sign of decline. But one thing is for sure, most of them don't swallow the PC bullshit, and they look after their families first.
Remember people, politics and television is a charade carefully constructed to maintain the corrupt status quo. Learn to ignore most of it, and pay attention to what you actually see around you, in real, daily life.
many thanks for a great discussion
That's what you get for pretending the danger's not real.
Meek and obedient you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel.
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes.
Now things are really what they seem.
No, this is not a bad dream.
