Guest Post: Voting Is A Sap's Game
Submitted by James E. Miller of the Ludwig von Mises Institute of Canada,
With the U.S. presidential election right around the corner, Americans are getting themselves all in a tizzy to go to the voting booth and remind the holders of public office who they work for. Because it’s a presidential election, the stakes are looked to as even higher as the media paints the contest between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney as a conflict with extreme consequence. The statist tramps known as mainstream journalists are championing the race as a great ideological battle. The fact that the candidates differ little on policy and vision is purposefully avoided. To the political and intellectual establishment, the show must go on. Their way of life depends on it.
Already in both the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention the party elites took the opportunity to trample on the democratic virtue of dissent. On the Republican side, Ron Paul supporters were effectively told to get lost as party leaders rammed through a rule change to make it next to impossible to nominate a pure grassroots candidate. The Democrats, per usual, were no better. When it came time to vote on whether the party platform should contain language on God and ensuring Jerusalem remains the capital of Israel, the voice vote was disregarded and the language was kept. And as a Fox News showed, the decision was predetermined by the teleprompter. In one fell swoop, both of America’s major political parties demonstrated that their own members can’t be trusted. The irony is that this practice of top-down dictation is wholly reflective of the reality of governance.
No matter how hard boobus Americanus is kicked in the teeth with his own inability to have an effect on government, he still feverishly casts his ballot with faith locked into the system. This intellectual denseness doesn’t hold for just the U.S. either. Democracy is still looked to favorably all around the world. Above the rhetoric of listening to the voice of the people, technocrats removed from the voting process run major world governments. One look at Europe and it becomes obvious the politically-connected elites are running the show. The banking system is being saved at the public’s expense. Some are keen to realize this and are setting about to instill leaders of integrity. Many remain enraptured with the idea of a government for and by the people. These people aren’t just blind to the evils of the state; they take enormous pride in their ignorance.
Democracy is a sham. In its purest form, it is mob rule by childish emotion. In its representative form, elections are a reoccurring fiction to convince the people they aren’t servants to masters who have become all too acquainted with power.
The ballot box is the last refuge of the half-witted fully convinced of his utter inability to dismember his umbilical cord from the state and take responsibility for his destiny. It is the chance to press a boot on the neck of your fellow man without the shame of doing so directly.
It is a much believed fairytale that the intentions of government are good but misguided. But from time immemorial, the state has been a conspiracy levied against the many by the few. Through the bailouts, printing press rescues, and socialized takeovers, the objective is obvious. The losers of government throw money at their fellow losers in business to maintain an establishment class of total inferiority.
The job of the political class is to make it so that crises are constantly haunting the electorate. Herds are easier to tame when frightened and looking for a savior. The West has become a great pity where suicidal lemmings run toward a cliff disguised as a voting booth. Every aspiring dictator they wish to put in office is a drug that numbs the senses and brings them one step closer to being fully shackled and on their knees ready and willing to serve.
As Gary North puts it, “democracy is window dressing for elite control.” The people are told they have a voice. They become teary-eyed at the prospect of casting a vote for a marionette. The news media bludgeons voters over the head constantly with phrases like “doing your duty” and “participating in democracy.”
Corruption, kick-backs, and corporate cronyism are wrapped up in a shiny box with a bow and sold to the people every election. The stealing away of all that is important in a functioning society by unaccountable schemers goes largely unnoticed. The money supply is controlled by a few central bankers. Law is given the final word by appointed judges. Regulations are written by bureaucrats. Wars are waged by generals and military complex administrators. Lawmakers are there for Kabuki Theater.
Leviathan can’t and won’t be tamed through the ballot box. Reasoning with the state is like reasoning with a lunatic armed with a machine gun. His two modes of thought are firing cheerfully into an unarmed crowd or keeping a finger itching to pull the trigger once more.
To quote the great author and civil disobedient Henry David Thoreau
I heartedly accept the motto, — “That government is best which governs least”; and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe, — “That government is best which governs not at all”; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.
The sad truth is that the majority of men are infatuated with nationalist creeds and looting the pockets of their neighbors. The absence of such a religion would pit them into the great unknown of actually having to behave like civilized beings. There would be no liars to look up to who promise a land of milk and honey for votes. There would be no invaders to honor who are paid to break down the doors of foreign dwellings in the middle of the night and leave pools of blood and piles of bullet shells for children to find their parents lying in. There would be no leader of the people surrounded by guards armed with militarized weaponry to salute.
The cycle of scaremongering with false threats followed by the reactionary heroism of public officials finding the courage to crush already withered freedoms into dust would come to an abrupt end. Schoolchildren would no longer learn that government saves them from poking themselves in the eye every second of every day. Independent critical thinking would make a roaring comeback. In the end, men would have to make an honest living; which is perhaps the greatest fear of any state bureaucrat.
H.L Mencken accurately described what the state of American politics would become almost a century ago when he wrote:
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
It wasn’t just the average U.S. voter Mencken referred to- it was voters around the globe who still see government as their friend and not an avenue for the slime of society to carry out their violent fantasies. Unless there is a radical change of thinking, mankind’s intellect will finally begin to resemble that of a dog who after being beaten unmercifully, happily returns to his master’s side ready once more for another round.

They never really tell us who that is do they?
Some sort of mish-mash of muslims/illuminati/jooo/CIA/alien/remote controlled cheney thingy all tied together...somehow. Why, its almost like some sorta ill concieved government financed cover up by nerdy Solyndra yes-men types from cyber space ain't it?
Somewhere, Alex Jones is laughing his ass off all the way to the bank.
Dick Cheney too; the bank in Dubai that is. Apparently it's safer than Canada; I mean just look at their neighbours.
(FWIW that wasn't my junk)
i'd settle for someone who would prosicute the finacial crimes of 2007/8 to the present....911? that's gonna take a truth and reconcilliation with just a touch of torture for ratings.
a wonderfully superb essay exposing the fucktardedness of the american boob - the elite are rtfltfao.....
of course there is the concommitant fucktardery of, "well you have to vote for republican or democrat because otherwise your vote would be wasted"
anyone who votes for obamney is traitor whore.....for those wanting choice, look at the constitutional party....i
Well I think the traitors in CONgress would tread lighter if a whopping 4% of the electorate put them in there.

The democratic vote process is a sham; but, it's all we got and a notch better than feudalism. IMO the realization that the choices are always one or the other side of the same coin leads me to this: always, always vote the encumbent out. VOTE!
"Democracy" is not a sham. What we have and call "Democracy" is a sham. But it is not Democracy. Blaming Democracy for our political systems' failings is as absurd as blaming the financial crash on Capitalism or any other 'isms' that are systems we don't currently function under.
In Iceland, before bailing out investors and institutions of their collapsed financial systems, the society holds a national referendum where all the people voted on what to do. They let the banks failed, only protected citizens with deposits, sent bankers and politicians alike to jail, and their economy is recovering much quicker then the rest of the world today. In other Nordic countries this system of Democracy - with the big D - occurs regularly as well. If politicians pass a law the people don't like, they have a specified time period to gather a certain amount of signatures needed to call a referendum, and the people decide if the law would be implemented. Participation is widespread and citizens are proud and educated participant in the running of their societies.
Imagine if we did have such a Democracy - no bailouts. Ever. No drug wars for years. No more wars and foreign interventions. No more excessive pentagon spending. No Obamacare. No Patriot act, NDAA, Infinite Detention, Drones over US soil....and with the advent of the internet its' harder then ever to filter and spin the information we receive on which to make decisions on. I have much more confidence in the People running a nation then elites, and that is done through Democracy, a system I hope someday we accomplish in the US.
I will do my part by voting for Jill Stein or Gary Johnson or anyone else that might make my state's ballet, and if no one does I will write in “Anyone Else”....for the first time since recorded polling, More people identify as Neither/Independent then Democrat or Republican...More then when their was a real option running like a Nadar or Paul or Perot...more then ever. On the local level we do still have some remnants of representative democracy so it’s still worth voting for local issues that affect school districts and drug policies and raising chickens in backyards…on the national level its’ worth being recorded as voting for anyone else, because if everyone that doesn’t believe in the 2-party system did, we would win…even if that doesn’t happen this year, it makes it harder and harder to exclude other candidates.
I beleive what I called a sham was the present democratic vote process.
Ummm... I'm not sure what planet you're on my friend.
But it ain't earth in the Early 21st Century.
Democracy is the most deceptive and subtle form of the government con.
Governance is development of the animal world, not voting means you are a meat puppet in one less way.
while I understand what you're saying, comparing Iceland to amrka doesn't work - they are a completely different culture, society, people.
what is happening in amrka has been happening for decades, but most people weren't paying attention then either, so it has just continued to deteriorate - now it's glaring and disgusting to even watch the sham.
a crash is the logical end to a runaway train. . . and still most don't recognise, or realise, even at this late stage. the lies are thick, the denial even more so.
Our "two party system" is propaganda kabuki.
Our "two party system" is propaganda bukake
there fixed it for ya
As George Wallace said in the 1968 campaign about Nixon and Humphrey, there's not a dime's worth of difference between them.
O Yea, O Yea, casting an informed vote verily before swine has never changed, and never will change anything anywhere ever, over all of human history and throughout all history yet to come: so sayeth the eternally unquestionable Rothbardian Axiom ('known false' variety)
I guess in Canuckistan they've never heard of 'write ins' or spoiling one's ballot in protest; perhaps her Majesty doesn't approve of such actions, so this is all sour grapes? Or maybe the author just gets his kicks denigrating the memory and efforts of veterans who fought and died so that the skeevy ingrate could piss on a scant privilege and rare opportunity.
In most democratic nations there is a constitution, ostensibly designed to mitigate the threat to the individual from the mob, and it does the same for the mob against those individuals who would amass unconscionable amounts of power. It's called balance, and its successful implementation is neither simple, nor certain in anything but a politically diligent, reasonably well-educated society, which may go far in explaining why prepubescent ideologues have such a hard time wrapping their polarized noodles around it.
If it falls into corruption it is not some putative flaw in the system, but the fault of those who are obliged to protect it: this means YOU!
Bernanke already voted, by proxy, for all of us.

I am thinking of going down to my polling station on election day and having them take my name off the voter rolls.
Your not voting for who or what you think you are voting for. They tell you right up front, this is a democracy (mob rule). The United States of America is not a democracy. It is a republic and the mob doesn't rule, individual rights do. When you vote today, you are not voting for the government, you are voting for an imposter government. One that obviously runs a democracy.

I now realize ZH is a government plant. The goal is to make anyone with a hope for a more sensible future so discouraged they put an entry and an exit wound throught their skull. This gives the Orkin Man less work to do. If you buy gold it will be confiscated = you are fucked. If you hold on to the currency of the realm to buy food you = also fucked. Ben wil print your currency into worthlessness while making it illegal (violence against you and your family)l to hold gold. so long, thanks for all the fish!
Mmmmmmmmmmm...yummy fish.
Seriously dude, fuck you. You Canadians are ruled by a German queen, for chrissake:

Don't be telling us down here shit about shit.
And it's not just me...Greg Palast thinks you're an asshole, too:

Oh, did I say fuck you? I meant to...
Give the Brits a break. They're starting to get some English blood back in that family. Prince William is only half German.
If somebody is born in the United States they are normally considered Americans, as in citizenship.
QE2 was born in London. Her father, George VI, born in Britain. Her mother, Queen Consort, born in Britain. Therefore QE2 is British.
Prince William was born in Britain. Both of his parents were born in the UK, so by any measurement, he is British. Where the hell do you get half German from?
You might as well say George Bush is British seeing as some of his heritage goes back to the UK.
JFK, Irish?
And so on. But ZH posters like to disregard facts if they don't like them so I've decided that i'm a Tahitian and you're an Afghan.
Sorted.
It will be great for someone in the future to rebuild this country after the dust has settled. Only after the death of the false government we have now can something new replace it. You can see the manipulation as the slave owners attempt to maintain control. I will vote for there is nothing else to do until the revolution begins. When all is lost, at that time the chains of bondage will fall away.
P.S: ZHers - if you've had a couple too many, don't post. It makes me wince.
Just sayin.
How many is too many? That would take all of the fun out of everything. Plus, it would hinder our ability to figure out who the biggest douchebags on this board actually are.
I guess we need a central planner to figure out how many is too many. I nominate The Ben Bernank!
TPTB selected Mugabe Jr. and Hitler III. Your rant about democracy doesn't float, because this isn't democracy. This isn't even an election, its a taunt.
A troll perhaps? The election, not you.

Spock come in - come in Spock - this is Kirk out - I seem to have been transported to a strange planet where the inhabitants believe that democracy still exists. They seem to under some mind-meld that has them in a zombified state of vegetation - tell MCcoy to beam down for further analysis. Kirk out! oh and tell lieutenant Uhura my quaters upon my return and to wear something "interesting"
I hope the turnout for this years election sets a record.
I also hope that mittens wins, that way, four years from now, when nothing has changed and everything is just as shitty as people predicted it would under another four years of Obama, it might, just might finally begin to dawn on the red vs blue true believers that maybe, just maybe there really is no difference after all beyond the packaging and the rhetoric.
it doesn't matter who reads from the teleprompter, the message never changes.
The problem is that one party tells you what they are going to do and means it. The other Party uses the bulk of a manimpulted and biased media to feed you a message that is nothing like thier intentions once given power. Have a blast voting, Pietre, and vote often............................ Rest assured, comrade, that I will do the same
Put. The. Koolaid. Down.
Sounds like the democratic convetion a week after the Republican convention. The Democrats used real good propaganda to manipulated and contorted the statistics during their speeches.
It was uncomfortable to the point that it's comparable to watching a dog drop a deuce on your lawn.
thats easy - it was the Chinese Mossad, right ??? They killed both Kennedys as well...
Simply put:
Both the Democrats and the Republicans are Keynsians.
On the only issues that matter - economics and the economy both Obama and Romney are EXACTLY THE SAME.
It's all a shell game so that you THINK you have a choice.
Congratualtions, you've got a key concept down pat, you're almost there; but you've missed at least three other options that have already been outlined in this thread. Can you see what they are?
since most people are too stupid for democracy -I guess we need to support the best group of elites -are there any good elites out there? I don't know of any.
The world Population over 8 billion simply does not make Democracy practicle.
If people in China and India want to live like the typical American slob did in the 50s threw to 21st century they would need 4 planet earths to have enought raw comoditys to produc enought useless junk.

I always make sure to vote for folks who have no chance of winning, thereby short-circuiting the "If don't vote don't complain" douches who are no smarter than a bumper sticker, and relieving me of the guilt of being complicit in the crimes of the asshats who do get elected. A middle finger to all the punk MCs!
There is no doubt that this article is correct! Elections are puppet shows put on by the mass media. There are no real choices, and no way to achieve anything outside of that puppet show.
The deeper problems turn through a couple more levels of the infinite tunnel of deceits. Remember that politicians are inside the predicament gradually developed by the history of the methods of organized crime, as a covert government, controlling the overt government. Politicians who did not agree to be bribed, or who could not be intimidated, ended up being assassinated instead. Behind all of the apparent stupdity and imcompetence was that deeper level of evil violence, which worked hard to keep our political system in thrall.
No only is that true in practice, but also, theoretically necessary. Thus, the only possible democracy that could be workable would be one where enough citizens understood that they were actually members of an organized crime gang. Instead of being brainwashed to believe bullshit their whole lives, they would have to be taught more radical truth. And I mean WAY MORE RADICAL TRUTH!
Here is part one to a discussion of the awesome sophistication of the mind control at work upon North Americans:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNcGLX6O4hI
Rense & Dr. Pat Flanagan - High Tech Mass Mind ControlNorth Americans have been the victim of the best brainwashing that money can buy. I do not believe in political miracles, and so, I actually expect we will not live to see any better future. However, theoretically, democracy could enable a greater use of information, and a higher consciousness. Of course, in reality our fake democracy is just a front for the runaway fascist plutocracy.
Even worse, those who reveal that actual situation, then usually retreat back to belief in impossible ideals as being somehow what we should do instead, as the "solutions."
IF the same technologies were used to help, instead of secretly harm, they would be GREAT!
However, without a better murder system, to do better death control, as the keystone in the arch of a system of alternatives, then, the whole thing has to continue being more stupidly evil ...
Way, way too many people refuse to admit there must be some murder system. They refuse to do that any better, and therefore, the same old most deceitful and dishonest elites still are running away, with more and more advanced means to accomplish THEIR kinds of stupid & evil controls. I have NEVER encountered anyone who presents a better analysis of the covert government through lies and violence, whereby the shadow government controls the political processes, through the methods of organized crime, that does NOT then end by proposing political miracles, which contradict the laws of nature, as being their "solutions." E.g., this interview by Rense, who is generally one of the best, BUT, still Rense ends up being just another "reactionary revolutionary."
It is impossible to have any overall better use of science and technology, as long as the central realities of human ecology are so god damn taboo. Elections are a sap's game because politics should be applied human ecology, and thus, the central concepts of that applied ecology must be the death controls (given that there are living things, evolving dynamically, as they can reproduce.)
The primary topic of debate ought to be the murder system, which backs up the money system. Instead, we have developed this elaborately coded charade or pantomine of puppet politicians, presented through the mass media.
Basically, the fundamental contents of politics have been banished from public debate. Replacing them are astronishingly bizarre and warped professional liars and immaculate hypocrites, spouting the most carefully crafted bullshit, which has been studied and perfected, to tell its huge lies as well as it possibly can.
Of course, this article about voting being for saps directly ties in to the other recent article about how dismal "journalism" has become:
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/guest-post-doug-casey-good-bad-and-ugly-to...
Meanwhile, all of that ties in with the fundamental achievement of the past history of organized crime controlling civilization, with the creation of the Federal Reserve Board, and its runaway fiat money system, which looks like it is soon going to gobble up a quarter of the whole economy, while the biggest banks have already eaten more than half.
Until we breakthrough to politics NOT being based on impossible ideals, and false fundamental dichotomies, then it can never become more scientific, and therefore, never work to do anything else than continue to provide a launching pad for more astronomically sized frauds. Of course, I believe that we WILL see more and more astronomically sized frauds, until their size finally causes collapse to unimageable chaos. The almost total triumph of brainwashing most people, turning public politics into a sick puppet show, or a sap's game, does not seem to have any other plausible outcome, at this time.
if I haven't said it before, I very much enjoy reading your posts, always exhibit thought-full-ness.
and I agree that "North Americans" have imbibed some of the best brainwashing money can buy - the question is, when did it begin? at what point was there a break in some measure of truth, how far back do the myths go?
the more I look at it, the deeper it goes, and the wider it spreads, encompassing whole nationstates, whole decades, centuries even. I can't believe in any nationstate myths, because they're all complicit in this extensive falsehood - some far more than others, but the majority do play the game.
so I wonder, is it the nationstate model that is fundamentally flawed, irrespective of whatever "system" it gathers together under? is it perhaps a god-model, in that there is a figurehead to look up to, then a host of others like priests to intercede? isn't there anything better we can come up with as humans, must we keep repeating the same failed story? do we really need a "daddy" that badly? and does having a head of state encourage child-like (dependent, unaware) behaviours in the populations?
see, I think the "impossible ideals" spring from nations that claim religious superiority over others, who believe themselves to be chosen, and everyone else is a heathen, which of course encourages the "false fundamental dichotomies" because to be chosen is to be lazy, there's no work involved, you just are, special.
and I don't trust "science" as it is put forward today, it's abusive and it has a legacy of exclusion and clubbiness. it's been co-opted by governments, and shadow governments, hidden, secretive off-the-books, and corporate manipulators that use humanity as a great experiment, including torture. I can admit the more theoretical into my thinking, but the majority of "science" hosts a lot of sociopath geeks who care not what they are creating - the nano- stuff is horrifying, and well funded, as is biowarfare, which has a long history.
aye, I'm guessing you're right about the collapse into unimaginable chaos. . . but then, where did it all spring from in the first place, hm.
best to you.
CA, excuse the interruption...
IMO Tyranny cannot exist without a dependent class of children and an over-class of even more delusional children acting as wannabe adults...all stooges to an abusive hidden, manipulative parent.
Until people learn to re-visit the archetypes and become true adults speaking (and acting) truth to power, without and within, we will all be played by the programmers.
From a personal Jungian hero of mine...Joseph Campbell
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGx4IlppSgU
heya palmereldritch, join in!
I too admire Campbell, and agree that myths and archetypes are very important when making the transition from dependency to self-directed living.
sadly we don't really have many archetypes encouraging "adult" behaviours in amrka today - people talk of how they accumulate "toys" to play with on the weekend (well, back when folks had jobs & weekends off!), the media encourages childish behaviours, dumbed down language & immature sexual expressions, etc.
of course, it's fine to have a laugh, but amrka has moved so past funny we're in tragi-comedy now - all the while looking to "leaders" to fix things, or just being indulgent children and not paying any attention at all, in the vain hope that "daddy gov" will keep everything propped up while everyone else is havin' a larf.
have you read Malidoma Some? I think you'd like his story - it's been many years since I've read his book "Of Water and Spirit" but it has some great alternative insights into how the west frames "reality" and how corrupting that is (I would say intentionally so, lately).
http://www.motherjones.com/politics/1995/03/visions-malidoma-some
an old interview, in case you're interested. . .
there is a tale he relates - not sure if it's in this book or not? - of a ritual whereby a member of the tribe does something against the others, stealing perhaps? he is put in the center of the tribe, who then begin to tell stories of how he has helped each of them in the past, or how they've valued some of his contributions, etc. - this continues until he breaks, and realises his importance to the tribe, and his value. compare this to the for-profit prison system, hmm.
I much prefer the cultures (now dwindling, sadly) who make use of their native plants to glean information, in a "shamanic" way, one that respects all life, be it human, animal, insect, plant - that realises the inherent interconnectedness of all things. . .
how could it truly be otherwise?
take care!
Thanks for the link CA. I will definitely check it out.
Your observations are spot on. It appears the biggest trap we have allowed them to create for us is the spiritual one.
Take care yourself. All the best.
You are a poet and a scholar! Great post....you should start your own blog!
You displlay in stark contrast the difference b/t the clamoring masses bleating robotic faux-arguments and the rare individual who goes to the depths of philosophy and societal mechanism to interpret the state in which we find ourselves. Such a breath of fresh air!
I use the Web site of a registered Canadian polilitical party, that I am the "leader" of as my own blog, or like it was my personal diary. There is a link through my name to my biography on that Web site.
I have had a few court cases against the government of Canada, especially regarding the laws that control the funding of the political processes. I discovered a loophole through the political contribution tax credit worth more than 10 billion dollars per year, and won a court case to prove that the government did not like that, and so lied about it ... however, after I won that court case, and finally was able to start doing it again, the government responded by changing the election law, to make most of what we were doing become a crime to continue. After that, I found a new legal way to still do the same thing, which is what I am promoting now to Canadian taxpayers.
HOWEVER, during the past few decades, after discussing these issues with literally tens of thousands of people, from all walks of life, I have only proven beyond any doubt that 99% of them are so totally brainwashed that they continue to do nothing, and want to continue to do nothing! Therefore, I an trapped in a typical tragic comedy, treading water!
P.S.
Regarding a couple of other replies above, I greatly enjoyed Joseph Cambell's discussion of mythology too!
In light of the nice comments that Cathartes Aura wrote, I would say that I have been attempting a creative synthesis of ancient mysticism with post modernizing science for my whole life, and attempting to apply that to political science.
I will repeat what I mentioned in a few other posts on Zero Hedge about Entropy and the Economic Process, which is that the entropy equation had an arbitrary minus sign inserted, at the beginning of the development of thermodynamics, in order to make the measurement of power have a positive value. When thermodynamics was extended into information theory, that same arbitrary minus sign in the entropy equations was maintained.
THEREFORE, the mathematics says that all power and information actually has a negative value, but human beings have arbitrarily attempted to reverse that, by adding their own minus sign, in order to negate the negation.
I call that the Bizarro Mirror World. My fundamental concept is that of SUBTRACTION. It is crucial to the synthesis of ancient mysticism with science. I also feel that it is vital to obtaining any philosophical comfort or solace from understanding the real world better.
One of the main mainifestions of the Bizarro Mirror World was through militarism. The oldest book on the Art of War starts by saying that success in war depends on deceits, and ends by saying that the most important soldiers are spies.
The SUBTRACTION is as old as consciousness.
It is as old as the abililty to make any model of the world. The human experiment is to advance that to the point where we can make a model which has a model of the model making within the model. That self-reference then opens up tunnels to infinity. However, at the same time, militarism then opens up infinite tunnels of deceits. Most importantly, the history that made War King then morphed to make Fraud King.
The modern world is the triumph of the international banksters as the Fraud Kings. Thus, we have an extremely well developed Bizarro Mirror World, where everything is backwards!
Anyway, to go around the loop another time, the mythical stories are sublime versions of these situations.
I certainly agree that I do NOT trust the fake science that dominates the world today, since its funding has more and more led to fraudulent science. I believet that science has to be more liberated, before science could be a more liberating force.
To do that, we should go back to its roots, in ancient mysticism. From there follows all of my basic ideas about subtraction and robbery, which then are the ways I attempt to reconcile political science and economics with physics and biology.
By and large, most of what passes for mainstream science today has been compromised to absurdity by the influence of the money of the biggest bullies. Like I said, given that the biggest bullies are now running their oxymoronic "scientific dictatorship" through global fiat money electronic frauds, backed up with atomic bombs, we are in DESPERATELY BAD SITUATIONS, and therefore, attempting to find some spiritual solace, or way out of that insane trap, is very appealing!
Even if that is not practical, given the dilemma of understanding the runaway madness of civilization being controlled by lies and violence, operating systems of fraud and robbery, that are automatically getting worse at an exponential rate, it becomes at least pyschologically imperative, (even if still politically impractical) to find more spiritual ways to cope with the human condition of being able to build a mental model of the world, which has to come face to face with the social facts that our society is being controlled and directed by the triumph of runaway financial frauds!
In that context, I find it somewhat reassuring to remember the relative nature of subtraction, and that the robbery process is never finished.
Someone has to do it!
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.
I think we are there already.
if you don't vote, then you're voting against FREEDOM!!!

nah, more likely if you can't be bothered to vote, or destroy your ballot in protest, you're just another run of the mill cynical, lazy, arrogant, and self centered asshole with an egregiously over-developed sense of your own self-worth who deserves the whole shitstorm that he is most certainly about to receive. Enjoy!
The article is riddled with factoids, as used by 'Americans' to sustain a propaganda effort.
Voting in 'american' societies is not for saps. It is for solidly established 'american' middle class.
In an 'american' society, the middle class is the king class.
So if democracy is window dressing for elite control, then it is control by the 'american' middle class as the middle class rules in 'american' societies.
'Americanism' strives for uniformity and conformity. Alternatives stem from diversity. Once in charge, 'american' servants to the middle class are bound to carry out the same policies.
'Americanism' favours rivalry: political parties are rivals wishing to be the ones implementing the one 'American' policy.
Being in charge is mandatory: 'american' politics come with many destructive drawbacks and being in charge is the means of getting protected of these destructive elements.
Being in charge means being last row when on the battle field and first row when distributing the loot.
Battle over the control of the state apparatus is vital in 'americanism' as 'american' societies are societies relying on the strength of the State to build themselves and prevail over stateless societies.
What is going on is simple: the 'american' middle class is an unsustainable drain on the environment.
Therefore, as the group is all in 'americanism', some of the 'american' middle class are pushed under the train in order to ensure the survival of the rest of the middle class.
As those middle class 'americans' are losing their status, they have to face the fact they are no longer part of the king class and that voting no longer has that power it had when they were part of the 'american' middle class.
That is all, folks. Very simple.
** Unless there is a radical change of thinking, mankind’s intellect will finally begin to resemble that of a dog who after being beaten unmercifully, happily returns to his master’s side ready once more for another round. **
Which is why, Mr. Miller, I prefer to think of you and I as goats. Thanks for the article.
Born down in a dead man town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up
Born in the u.s.a., I was born in the u.s.a.
I was born in the u.s.a., born in the u.s.a.
