Welcome to the United States of Orwell, Part 1: Our One Last Chance to Preserve the Bill of Rights

This Congress and President Obama have shredded the Bill of Rights. We have one last chance to restore the Founding Fathers' bastion against a rogue Central State: the Bill of Rights.

"Everything that Richard Nixon did to me, for which he faced impeachment and prosecution, which led to his resignation, is now legal under the Patriot Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)." Daniel Ellsberg. Can Congress legalize tyranny by passing a law that says it can? Can Congress shred the Bill of Rights by passing a law that says it can? Well, Congress has passed such a law, and President Obama--the most effective Trojan Horse president in American history, a plutocrat dressed as a "progressive"-- rushed to sign it on New Years Eve 2011 when nobody was looking.

This is not a partisan issue, though various flaks and toadies are attempting to make it so. Here is how the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) describes the NDAA: Indefinite Detention, Endless Worldwide War and the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act.

He signed it. We'll fight it. President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law. It contains a sweeping worldwide indefinite detention provision. The dangerous new law can be used by this and future presidents to militarily detain people captured far from any battlefield. He signed it. Now, we have to fight it wherever we can and for as long as it takes.

Here is a discussion of the two key sections of the act: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Wikipedia)

The problem that all the congressional supporters of the NDAA don't seem to get is that the difference between a dissenter and a "belligerent" is in the eye of the beholder. This is why the Founding Fathers guaranteed civil liberties against the power of the Central State. Now those guarantees have been overthrown by the pursuit of endless war against an ill-defined threat by a congressional act that no military or law-enforcement agency requested: this is 100% politico-instigated.

We have one last chance to restore at least a part of the Bill of Rights. Some members of Congress awakened from their fund-raising somnambulance and proposed the Due Process Guarantee Act which would restore the Bill of Rights to its proper place in US law.

So do one thing today for the nation and its liberties: contact your representative and senators to press them to support this bill. Ask them which military or law enforcement agencies requested that Congress nullify the Bill of Rights with the NDAA. Advise them to do the correct thing for once in their sordid little careers and vote for the Due Process Guarantee Act.

This page lists other articles about the NDAA and also provides links to find your representative and Senators: It's treason. Call it what it is.

The only presidential candidate who has vowed to axe the NDAA provisions is Ron Paul. If you support any other candidate, ask why they are supporting the gutting of the Bill of Rights under the Orwellian umbrella of GWOT (global war on terror).

In case you have any doubts about where our "leadership" is taking us, please review these Assorted quotes by Fascists or about Fascism.

i really dont care about democracy, rights, blah blah blah, why stress, why all the hand wringing, fcuk it,

too much momentum to try to fight it, i dont need the stress nor do i have the energy and wherewithal to fight this monolith alone,

especially when 99% of the population doesnt give a flying fuck, people are still too invested in this,

they feel like they still have too much to lose than to stand up, organize and fight back,

they still think calling congressmen and senators will make a difference,

they still think writing the white house or signing an electronic petition will move things in the right direction

they still think protesting and non-violent resistance is viable

and that somehow their FICO score will still grow, and there is next years black friday to consider

they wont organize and take up arms against the jack boot,

heck that kind of talk scares everyone into inaction and prevarications

i am  tired of being emotionally, mentally and socially ostracized for speaking truth to power, it's too late for any and all of that,

now the waitng is all.....i dont give shit anymore about the constitution or the bill of right or anything, why should i? theyve been dead for decades and no one gave a shit then or now.

If it be now, ’tis not to come. If it be not to come, it will be now. If it be not now, yet it will come—the readiness is all. - hamlet act v.ii

They are working hard to normalize culture and thought throughout the U.S.  They want to create their harmonious and homogeneous society; in thought at least.

In the future the people in Texas won't think any differently than the people in New York or D.C., and so there will be no conflict in the edicts that are issued from those far off cities to be followed in the South, Mid-West, and other regions of the U.S. currently at odds with the political leadership.

Socialism requires the elimination of true diversity in a nation.  Diversity of culture and thought.

Congress, which is bound by the constitution (theory) must pass a law to enforce the foundation from which all its allocated powers spring?

Alice?  Hello?  Rabbit hole anyone?

Perfect precedent.  Congress is ABOVE the constitution, for their laws determine which parts of it they enforce.

Not sure why the junks on that one. The entire Constitution has been done away with because the Constitution has allowed it. Lysander Spooner addressed this issue fully and Kenneth Royce also makes a very good argument regarding the intentional alliance of the Constitution and big government based upon the foundation laid out (in part) by Alexander Hamilton. Here are a few of the issues built in to the very Constitution we have been brainwashed to hold as sacred.

1) Federal statute is the supreme law of the land which displaces state/local law

2) The "necessary and proper" clause give Congress nearly unlimited legislative possibilities

3) the "General welfare" clause provides for virtually unlimited means of direct taxation

4) The Senate impeaches it's own members

5) Judiciary has NO check or balance by the States or people

5) Judiciary decides if Federal actions are/not Constitutional

6) Judiciary interprets the "spirit" of Constitution through the "equity" clause

The list could go on. The more one studies the Constitution, the more one comes to the inescapable conclusion that we have exactly the form of government that the Constitution has allowed and we are truly fucked.

Which is exactly what has made central banking so powerful.  It's the ultimate weapon of mass destruction because it can build weapons and keep armies in the field (almost) indefinitely.  It's the offer you can't refuse, as a state, if you want to be able to defend yourself.  What makes it particularly beautiful from the zionist point of view of course is that central bankers can set two or more states against each other and work them both to utter exhaustion; in the process plundering them while utterly unhinging their cultural continuity, making their cultural heritage completely unrecoverable, al la Germany, Japan and Russia in war number 2 and The United States to a lesser, but effective enough, degree in both wars 1 and 2.  Strip them of their wealth, destroy their culture, and do it from the shadows.  These are the works of the "chosen" people.  Kind of like Rome without the vibrance and panache and 2000 years too late.  The human race is moving on fucktards.  Toward peace, cooperation, respect, and cultural complexity.  Somehow I don't think the fantasy land of Greater Israel is going to be part of that equation.  If you happen to be a part of the religious and genetic heritage which is the diaspora, make the decision now, before it's too late, reject zionism, join the human race.

Congrats on being one of the few who understands that the very thought of Space Wild West gives them nightmares.  The thought of contact with aliens who might have a better way of doing things scares them even more.  Hence shutting down SETI twice, even though it cost maybe one millionth of the wars' cost.  Seriously.  If we were to find any kind of life out there we would be inspired to leave this prison planet, and then we might figure out that even a precarious existence is better than all their bullshit, and then we might build a better system that competes with theirs.  One smallish asteroid, dribbled out over time, would provide enough metals to crush inflation, demonetize PMs, and continue the ponzi for the forseeable future.  Why aren't they interested?

Obama just recently cut off NASA's last remaining crown jewel, the robotic exploration program.  If we never know about life on Mars, Titan, Europa, and Enceladus, we will never dream about going there.  This is the latest fucking in a decades-long process of transforming space exploration into a make-work program for bureaucrats and contractors.

The U.S. is the most propagandized country on the planet.  The MSM has acheived such unquestioned dominance that it practically controls the thought processes of 90+ percent of the population.  For example, most Americans think the Constitution and The Bill of Rights are still law.

It misses the point to think Americans are "not having a problem with it"; it is more accurate to say that most Americans are simply ignorant of reality.

I would not be so kind to the Americans. Especially not to the "good Americans" -- even the MSM agrees that Iraq did not have WMD so the new narrative is that Saddam Hussein was a bad guy.

Now even Americans, as they are perceived as "bad guys", can be killed or imprisoned forever.

When a "good American" goes to the airport and some TSA fascist child molestor gropes the "good American's" 5 y.o. daughter or son for their genitals, he or she does not need MSM to distort the reality, it's kind of obvious what's going on, but they'd accept TSA molestation as something good or, at least, acceptable. So the "good Americans" prefer to have their kids traumatized for life than to give up a flight and, perhaps, drive several hours or two days instead.

And when Obama would tell them, unless I kill 1,000,000 Iranians for no Iraqis are left to be murdered, you'd be without iPhone service, they'd prefer to have those 1,000,000 Iranians murdered so they'd can tweet or update their "walls" via the precious iPhone. Just substitute the words like "innocent civilians", "children", "Iranians", "women" with the word "terrorist" and voila!, they'd rejoice.

At the end, the nation, the people create or support or condone the regime they have. They are not "ignorant of reality" they are mean, vile and supportive of their murderous regime. If they were not they would, at least, protest the forever wars abroad or banksters looting at home (in some real sense, like seizing The Financial Crime Cartel offices, elected official offices...). Take the iPhone away from them and send them (draft them) to war and you'd see.

But, as long as someone else does their bidding (steals natural resources so they can have cheap goods, or enslaves people so the products they buy are cheap...) like the 100+ mercenary, Blackwater type "contractors", killing and looting in their name (paid for their tax dollar), they are fine with it.

Corrupt people engender a corrupt society, and a corrupt society breeds corrupt people. At least be grateful that your understanding is sufficient; you need not be corrupt like them.

Here's a little nugget of ancient hermetic wisdom for you: As above, so below, and as below, so above. While the unawaked are thrown about by the heaving sea, the master will rise above the waves, perfectly controlling where he is. Then the law submits to him, while the unawakened submit to the law.

Effect the law, instead of being affected by it. That is all you can, and need to, do.

We see those who support the soeterobama and those that support his twin, mittneysoeterobama still wanting this absolute twilight zone madness to continue. Never ending wars and never ending poverty for all and soon, depression, more WAR, all ending our freedoms, liberty, and the once was great country this was. No one seems to get it. We are NOW pre-nazi(NAtionalist-ZIonist) germany and it is a twilight zone to think this has actually almost verbatim happened again. Guess who the mean ol bad guys are this time and are being set up like a bowling ball pins to lose this next horrendous NBC World War? They are still marching off into that direction and what will stop it all?

The amazing and great thing is, since we began to awaken 13 years ago, we have come a long ways. That is evidenced when we are all speaking the same language. People all over the net are speaking the same language of liberty and awareness like in the fine expressions of the higher light here, and on other popular websites.

Big bless you and thank you for your service to what Amerika was.

You can bet Sir that you will get another chance to defend the Constitution...and your Country.

The bill has zero percent or less chance of passage, and even less chance of being adhered to even if enacted.

Obama will oppose this bill (as would have Bush before him) on the grounds that it would allegedly "unConstitutionally" infringe on the executive authority as C-in-C in times of "war" and "emergencies", and hamper his ability to "keep America safe".

There is NO society that has survived, with a thriving cross-section of multiple classes, where the governing body was allowed to legally "spy".  Never.

How do you remain a "law-abiding citizen" when the laws that you trumpet erode more and more of our civil liberties?  Do you understand that killing an "undesirable" in Nazi Germany was perfectly legal for "law-abiding citizens?"  That's why people like you who will bend your morals to whatever the book says that a judge holds in their hands are scary to people like me.

Seriously, if the Supreme Court allows Obamacare to stand, the game is over anyway.  Period.  There is no limitation on the Centralized State if Obamacare is not struck down.  And even if it is, the powers discussed in the lead article, above, are probably beyond recovery.  We have unleashed Leviathan to transition from a relatively benign nanny state into the evil, despotic beast of our worst nightmares.

The series of Statist laws that have resulted from 9/11, and which seem to grow weekly, the reality of FEMA's network of camps, the hoarding of food by DHS, the expansion of "law enforcement" authority to every agency that wants to put two guys in a room and call the agency "security," and the push to put UAVs into our skies by the thousands to provide 24/7 surveillance, all lead to only one conclusion--the S is going to HTF, and the Centralized State is going to impose totalitarian control over the States and the People.  TEOTWAWKI in the form of a Brave New World.

Have you read the Enemies, Foreign and Domestic trilogy?  Matthew Bracken's work is uncannily prescient.  If you want to see how the U.S. devolves in the coming 20 years, read his three books.  http://www.amazon.com/Enemies-Foreign-Domestic-Matthew-Bracken/dp/0972831010

Your representatives are owned.  Why talk to them?  You threaten to vote them out?  The plutocrats can reward them, after just one turn in office, for voting as ordered.  And the next bunch will do likewise.

So what people are going to do is get that pyramid. The one with the eye and turn it upside down. Out of it will fall 1000 aristocracies who will promptly be sent to prison. Their vast wealth will be returned to the people throughout the world. Don't need much in this time of abundance except to rid the world of the major crime syndicates.

On a timeline of historic proportions this kind of thing happens over and over. Not to worry.

Why would a Democratic president keep following the neo-con agenda unless the neo-cons were still in control of government?  Why would Obama give away EVERY progressive position before the real negotiating even began?

Want to know how all this happened?  It goes all the way back to JFK's assassination. Read Russ Baker's book "Family of secrets".  Read Michael C.
